[Originally the book was called Ophira Hightower] Aunt Dahlia is not only an aunt, she had a daughter who was taken away from her. Centuries later her bloodline became the Hightower witches. Some of the most powerful witches to ever live. The bloodline was a distant cousin of the Mikaelson. The Hightower's were watched over by the Mikaelson's. In the 20's there was a powerful little orphaned Hightower witch, Ophira a 7 year old witch. Who Rebekah and Klaus took care of after her parents died.
