Chapter 7: I Love You

Klaus' Mansion

Klaus closes Rebekah's coffin. "Sweet dreams Rebekah." He says to Mindy. "Show her to her room, would you, love?"

"Sure." Mindy wheels the coffin away.

"I'm surprised you're still in town. I gave you your freedom, you could have gone anywhere." Stefan is leaning against a doorframe.

"I live here, Klaus."

"Well, if we're playing this game, then...I was here first."

"You know, I don't like your hybrid friends. They're everywhere, kind of like fleas. I want them gone."

"Yeah, well I kind of like having them around. You know, I'm hurt. I hoped that when I freed you, we'd pick up where we left off. But here you are, guzzling vervain like the rest of them, I'm sure. So much for friendship."

"Friends don't strip friends of their free will."

"Okay, granted, yeah, that was a little extreme, but I get a little moody. Just ask my siblings. Speaking of whom, isn't it time you handed them over? See Ophira's getting very perturbed about it, she miss Rebekah and when she gets upset its not good for anyone."

"Klaus, get your hybrids out of Mystic Falls or I will remove them myself."

"Hmm. You see, if you continue to threaten me, I'm gonna be forced to retaliate. Kill people. And it will get messy again."

"Do whatever you want, I don't really care. Or you know what? Maybe I do. Maybe I care so much, that I'll drop Elijah in the Arctic."

"Well, maybe I'll be willing to lose one brother if it meant killing yours."

"Try me, let's find out." Mindy walks in.

"Is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine, Mindy. Stefan was just leaving after failing to make his point." Stefan waits a moment, grabs a saw from the work table he's next to, rushes over to Mindy and cuts her head clean off with it."

Well, one down. You may want to, ah, send the rest of them away before it gets messy, again." He throws the saw back on the table and leaves.

Founder's Party

Klaus is talking with Carol Lockwood with Ophira standing there. Damon sees Klaus and Carol Lockwood talking and walks over to them.

"Look at what the cat dragged in. Nice vest." Damon said to Klaus. Daniel is standing behind Klaus.

"Thank you very much, good to see you, Damon. Carol and I were discussing about whether you would be the other big benefactor."

"What do you say Damon? Klaus has made a very generous pledge. You know how we're chomping at the bit to begin the renovation."

"Carol, don't take this the wrong way, but do you realize that you've been kissing the ass of an immortal hybrid who ruined your son's life?"

"Oh, come now. Some would say that I saved it from all that nasty full moon business. I've never had to go through it myself more than twice, to be honest," Klaus responds.

"He's very sympathetic." Ophira whispers to Carol.

"Klaus has promised to protect Tyler, Damon. And our town."

"From who? His hybrids are the one the town needs protection from."

"Well, he would have no use for them if your brother would kindly return my cousins." Ophira says glaring.

"Not gonna happen tiny scary witch." Damon said, and Ophira smirks a little.

"That's what I thought, which is why I've come to an agreement with the Mayor. You and the Council stay out of my hair, I stay out of yours. Your town gets protected, my hybrids get left alone and everybody will be happy. All you have to do is to get Stefan to stop decapitating my friends."

"Please Damon, just get your brother under control, or the Council will be forced to take action against him." Carol said.

"You've gotta be kidding me!" 

"Oh come on mate." Klaus says.

 "Give peace a chance." Ophira continues adorably. After Damon left Klaus turned to Ophira. 

"Tyler is going to the Fell Cemetery do you want to go with him?"

Ophira's smile grew she was born in New Orleans so she was use to practicing Ancestral Magic and that cemetery was were the Original witch died. 

Fell Crypt

Tyler and Ophira arrives.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to crash the party." Tyler says.

"So don't." Matt says coldly.

"No, it's-it's okay." Caroline says to Tyler. "Hi."

"I'm not staying for your weird teen drama so I'm going to go," Ophira states. "And happy Birthday Caroline." She says before walking out into the forest looking for the cemetery. 

She noticed she had no idea where she was and she wondered way to far from the Lockwood hybrid. "Tyler!" She called. "Of course I'm lost." She had a tendency to get herself into dangerous situations. Suddenly she felt a cold breeze around her. She sensed it was a vampire, "So your self vampire!"

Then she saw Stefan Salvatore, before she could think he slapped a pair of anti-witch shackles on her wrists. When she tried to cast a spell nothing happened. "What did you do?!" She asked, he quickly knocked her out.

She woke up, Stefan was driving his red car, and Elena is in the front seat.

"So, what's the plan, Stefan? What's the big move you're making?" Elena asks.

"I took Klaus's family to make him suffer. I'm not gonna let him make himself a new one."

"So, what are you gonna do, huh? Are you gonna lock me in some cave and keep me hostage? Kill some little kid."

"Maybe. Maybe, I'll just turn you into a vampire." Shocked and scared. 

"Stop the car, Stefan! Stop the car, Stefan!"

Stefan calls Klaus.

"Stefan, how nice to hear your voice."

"Tell your hybrids to get out of town, Klaus."

"Well that's not gonna happen until I get my coffins back."

"Okay, well then I'm gonna drive your blood source and Ophira here off Wickery Bridge."

"I don't believe you Stefan. You won't kill her and if you touch a hair on Ophira's head-"

He was intruped by Stefan bitting into his wrist and forces it into Elena's mouth and forces her to drink his blood.

Elena sputters "No! No! No! What are you doing?"

"What's going on? Klaus asks concerned.

"I just fed her my blood. No more hybrids if she's a vampire and Little Miss Hightower will be dead."

"You won't do it."

"Really? Try me, because your coffins are next to go. Say goodbye to your family Klaus.

"As the car sped up Ophira just screamed. Klaus recognized that scream it was the terrified scream oof the girl he though of as a daughter. "Fine, I'll send them away. You win."

"Stefan! Stefan, stop!" Elena screamed.

"Stop the car, Stefan!" Klaus said. Stefan slams on the brakes and skids to a stop. Klaus hears this and hangs up, furious. Elena and Ophira gets out of the car quickly and runs away from the car.

Elena felt bad for the kid she ran over to her, "Are you ok?"

"I'm ok." Ophira said before running off. 

She ran into the woods where Klaus found her. He kneeled down and she ran right into his arms. "I'm so sorry Ophira are you ok?"

"Better now, Stefan Salvatore he put these cuffs on me I can't do magic." Klaus ripped the cuffs off her wrists. Klaus hugged her a picked her up. 

"Tyler bit Caroline." Klaus told her.

"What?!"

"So I'm going to go cure ok."

"Oo does Klausy have a crush."

"I'm not talking about this with you Ophira."

After Klaus got back from healing Caroline he walks into his mansion to she Ophira under a blanket on the couch. "Sweetheart I want to show you something." Klaus said extending his arm out to her.

"Ok," Ophira responds as she grabs his hand. They walked up the stairs and opened the door a beautifully designed bedroom.

"This awesome," Ophira says as she twirls around the room. 

"I'm glad you like it little witch."

Ophira climbs into bed and as soon as her head hit the pillow she was sleeping. "I love you Ophira." Klaus said and he kissed he forehead.
