Hang Out Ch. 19

19:51, 11 February 2018

Uhh... So I just realized that Serena HAS had maladadas before and I totally forgot until now... But it works for the story, so whatever! Keep reading!

Serena's POV

I was helping Dawn clean up the table after breakfast while Drew and May were taking the pokemon food bowls. As I was putting some dishes in the sink I suddenly heard a ring come from my PokeNav on my wrist. I opened it up to see Ash's name on the screen. I pressed "Answer" and I saw his face pop up onto the screen.

"Hey Ash!" I said, smiling.

"Hey Serena!" Ash said back, smiling as well.

"So, why'd you call?" I asked him.

"Oh, right. So, what time are we supposed to go over there?" Ash asked.

"I didn't saw when?" I held my chin in a thinking motion. "Hmm... How about during lunch? You guys can come and eat lunch here and I'll cook." I said.

"Great! I haven't had your cooking in a long while!" Ash happily exclaimed as he started drooling. I just giggled at him.

"Can you tell Hannah and Crystal that too? I don't want them to get confused," I asked him.

"Sure! See ya later Serena!" Ash called.

"Bye Ash!" I waved.

The screen went back to the menu screen and I closed the PokeNav.

I put away the rest of the dishes when I heard Dawn, May, and Drew step into the living room.

"Hey guys, you don't mind if some people will be coming over later, do you?" I called.

"Who?" May asked.

"Ash and some new friends we met earlier," I replied as I walked into the living room and sat on the couch.

"We're fine with it, but when will they be coming over?" Drew asked.

"During lunch," I replied simply.

"WHAT?!?!" Dawn suddenly screeched.

All of us other than Dawn flinched and covered our ears.

"I haven't cleaned my room! I'm not readyyyy!!!!" Dawn yelled as she ran to the hallway towards her room.

"Ouch..." Drew muttered as he slowly took his hands off of his ears.

"MY CLOSET IS A MESS!!!" Dawn shrilled.

Drew immediately tried to place his hands back over his ears but was too late and was hit with the full blow of Dawn's scream. He started repeatedly patting his ears.

"I can't hear anything!" Drew shouted.

Time Skip~

I finished washing all of the dishes and my pokemon helped my put them away. May and her pokemon were helping her clean the living room while Drew and his pokemon were taking care of the garden. Dawn was still lost in her closet.

I decided that, since it was almost noon, I should start cooking lunch and baking some sweets. Ash did ask me for some. I grabbed some ingredients, tossed them into the pot, and turned on the stove.

After I was done with the meal and letting it cool down, I started mixing together some berries and other ingredients to make some macaroons. After mixing, I put the batter into a pipe bag and squeezed the batter through the pipe bag to put the batter on the cookie tray. I tossed the tray into the oven and started working on the gauche.

Just as I finished mixing, the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it!" I shouted before anyone could reach the door.

I still had my apron on and the bowl in my hands, but I was too excited to put them down. I rushed towards the door and twisted the handle open. Ash was standing at the front while Crystal and Hannah were both in the back.

"Hey Serena!" They all said.

"Hey guys! Come on in!" I gestured inside with my one free hand.

They walked through the door and looked around.

"Where are the others?" Ash asked.

"Oh, I think they're all in the backyard. You guys can go out there and meet our pokemon while I finish up in the kitchen," I said.

They all nodded and I led them to the backyard with the others. Crystal ran over to Dawn who was playing with all the Pokémon and Hannah walked around exploring.

I walked back into the kitchen and fished up with the macaroons and the pokemon food.

Delphox and Sylveon helped me set up the table which luckily had enough chairs for all of us plus one. Then they helped get the pokemon food bowls and filled them up. After we were all set, we went outside to call the others to lunch. Delphox and Sylveon went to all of our pokemon (including Ash, Crystal, and Hannah's pokemon since they let them out) who were resting in the shade of the trees and I went to the others who were sitting in the grass, talking.

"Guys, lunch's ready. Let's go inside-" I was cut off by Ash and Crystal dashing into the house.

"Great! I think those two are extra happy. Their stomach's have been growling loudly for a while now," Dawn giggled.

"Yeah, they digest their food too fast," Hannah sighed.

"Let's hurry up before they eat everything," Drew said, a bit rushed.

After realizing that all of our bowls could be licked clean by now, we rushed into the house towards the table. We saw Ash and Crystal sitting across from each other with their faces in their food again and making sloppy eating noise.

"Crystal! Gross! And again?" Hannah gagged.

"Hey, Ash is doing it to," Crystal retorted with a full mouth.

"It's not my fault that it's so good! Serena, your cooking is still amazing!" Ash complimented with his mouth full as well.

"Thanks!" I responded as a small blush appeared on my cheeks.

"Now let's go eat as well!" May said as she dove into her seat and started eating.

We all sat down in our chairs. Hannah next to Crystal, Drew next to May, Dawn on the other side of May, and me next to Ash. We all started to eat.

"Serena, this really is good!" Hannah said with another bite.

"Yeah, so good that you just might be competition to Brock!" Dawn said.

Ash and May both nodded in agreement.

"Thanks guys!" I replied happily.

A few seconds later, all of our pokemon walked in through the back and over to the pokemon food bowls that I placed near the table. They sniffed them a few times before stuffing their faces with the food.

"Looks like the pokemon really like your food too Serena!" Ash complimented.

We kept eating and talking to get to know each other. Hannah was talking to me and Dawn while Crystal was talking to Ash, Drew, and May. When the pokemon were done they piled the bowls up and put them in the sink. Then they went back inside while my pokemon stayed inside and talked.

"So, are you two dating?" Crystal asked casually to May and Drew while licking her plate clean.

Drew stopped moving and blushed while May did a spit take. Everyone else just silently stared while Hannah face palmed.

"W-What?" May stuttered, blushing bright.

"Well, you see, ever since I saw both of you perform against each other for the first time, I could see both of your determination to beat each other," Crystal said while holding her chin. "I know that everyone is always determined to beat someone when they really want some one, but from both you, I saw something other than determination. Admiration." Crystal finished while pointing her finger at both May and Drew.

Both blushed, looked at each other, and blushed some more.

"So I've shipped you ever since!" Crystal exclaimed happily.

"Crystal, I think you're embarrassing them right now..." Hannah said.

"She's right though," Drew said while clearing his throat. "We are dating now."

"GREAT!! I knew that you two were perfect together! I've gotta go tell my pokemon!" Crystal jumped up with her empty dishes, rushed into the kitchen to put them away, then ran out the door to the backyard.

We all just laughed while May and Drew smiled. We continued eating and after that cleaned the table. Crystal came back in with the rest of our pokemon. I got the macaroons that I made earlier and set them on the coffee table in the living room. Ash and Pikachu practically flew over here by following the smell and landed in front of the macaroons. They both looked at me pleadingly. I laughed and nodded. They both took five and shoved them into their mouths.

Everyone and their pokemon came into the living room and ate the macaroons, complimenting me on how great they were multiple times. We talked and hung out a little more until it became 6:00 pm. Time flys by when you're having fun.

"Thanks for having us over today! It was really fun!" Hannah said at the front door.

"Yeah! See ya later!" Crystal said as they both left the porch.

They soon left out of our sight leaving only Ash in the doorway.

"Cya tomorrow Ash!" Dawn said as she walked back inside.

"See you at school tomorrow!" May said as Drew fist bumped Ash and then was dragged off by her.

They all went back inside, leaving me and Ash alone.

"U-Uhm, thanks for coming today," I said as a light blush appeared on my face after noticing our situation.

"No problem! It was nice to hang out with you guys again," Ash replied while rubbing his finger under his nose.

"Well, see you tomorrow Serena."

What happened next made me feel like time stopped and would never keep going.

Ash leaned in...

I watched as he rushed away. I swear I saw light pink blossom on his cheeks, but I probably had no right to say anything against him. I put my hands up to my cheeks and slapped/rubbed them repeatedly. If I knew where she was, I would have Milotic use Hydro Pump on my face.

After I was sure that I was not blushing anymore, I turned around, closed the door. And walked further inside. I saw everyone sitting on the couch with their pokemon. I remembered what I wanted to talk about with them so I sat down on one of the single couches and took a deep breath.

"Guys, I wanna talk to you about something."

They all turned to me with sudden interest in the serious tone that I was using.

"I... I want to bring contests in Alola."

NOW THAT'S HOW YOU END IT. Okay so... yes. That happened. Thanks for reading! Please vote and comment! Thank y'all and I'll see you in the next chapter. Ciao!
