Tim was sitting in Grey's office looking annoyed. "I'm sorry. No end-of-shift time off on my watch." He deadpanned at the blonde officer, Officer McNeil.
"When does Sergeant Grey get back?" McNeil asked, Tim glares at her. "Okay." And she walked out.
That's when Genny appeared in the doorway, Tim lit up. "Genny, what are you doing here?" Tim asked, smiling at his sister.
"So you know the charm bracelet you and Hunter got me for my twentieth birthday?" Genny asked, Tim nodded. "I was unpacking this morning and it wasn't in the box I keep it in." She explained.
Tim frowned deeply. "Do you think one of the movers stole it?" He asked.
Genny shakes her head. "I don't think so but Nolan's gonna call them and make sure." She said.
"Genny," Hunter said from behind the red headed Bradford, both Genny and Tim turned their attention to her. "What are you doing here?" She asked.
"Informing Tim about my missing charm bracelet." Genny said.
"The one we got you for your birthday sixteen years ago when you turned twenty?" Hunter asked.
Genny nodded. "That's the one, I couldn't find it so Nolan's calling the moving company and I'm telling you and Tim." She said. Hunter and Tim both nodded as Hunter moved to stand beside Tim at the desk, Genny eyed them with a small smirk. "Anyway, when Nolan finds out more, I'll let you both know." With that Genny walked out.
Hunter looked at Tim. "Well that was the shortest conversation I've ever had with your sister." She comments.
Tim smiled softly and looked at Hunter. "So you staying in the station or patrolling?" Tim asked her.
Hunter smiled. "I'm riding with Grant today and I'm gonna grill him on when he's finally moving out of the apartment so I can have you over at random hours of the night eventually." She said.
Tim smirked and opened his mouth to respond when Grant appeared. "Hunter are we going or not?" He asked her.
Tim and Hunter looked over at him. "Yeah, coming." She said, glancing back at Tim as she walked out.
***
Hunter was driving and looked over at Grant. "So, how's it going moving in with Lucy?" She asked him.
"We're house hunting right now, why?" Grant asked, narrowing his eyes at Hunter.
"Just curious, I may need to find a cheaper apartment or a new roommate, that's all." Hunter replied.
That's when Dispatch spoke over the radio. "7-Adam-20, we have an R.P. claiming there's a Na'vi breaking into a car."
Hunter frowned deeply and grabbed the radio. "Uh, a what?" She questioned.
"Na'vi. It's an inhabitant of Pandora from Avatar. Ask her if it's a full-grown one, 'cause those things are like 9 feet tall." Grant said, with a slight joking tone.
Hunter looked over at Grant. "Grant, it's a fictional character." She deadpanned.
"I know I'm just joking, Jesus woman." Grant huffed.
Hunter glared at her partner as they pulled the shop up and stepped out the car. "LAPD," the man cosplaying as Na'vi looks up and steps out painted all blue and wearing nothing but a cloth. "Whoa." Hunter averted her eyes for a moment.
"Oel ngati kameie." The man said.
"Excuse me. What?" Hunter asked, looking at Grant for translation.
"I-It's Na'vi. It means "I see you."" Grant said.
"Sir, we received a report that you're trying to break into this vehicle." Hunter deadpanned.
"No. No, no, no. This is -- This is mine. I just locked my keys inside. Even worse, I locked my tickets in there, too, and the preview screening starts in like 20 minutes." The man said.
"For what movie?" Hunter asked.
Grant and the man looked at her. "Avatar: The Way of Water." They said at the same time, Hunter sighed realising it had something to do with the cosplaying.
Grant looked at the man. "Yeah, man! I cannot wait! I already got my tickets for opening day while trying to explain what this is to my girlfriend, she's got no idea." He said.
"Oh, man. It's gonna be so great." The man said.
"Okay. Look. We can help you get into the car, but we need to see some identification first. Is that in the car as well?" Hunter asked.
"No. It's in my loincloth, but it's -- it kinda slipped underneath --" The man gestured.
"Uh, ok-- okay. We're good. Could you please run to the shop and grab my Slim Jim? I'm gonna take a flyer on this one." Hunter said to Grant.
"Yeah." Grant walked back to the shop.
"Oh, I'm so excited!" The man moves to go and hug Hunter.
"Oh, there's -- Oh! Oh, sir --" Hunter moved backwards and chuckled. "You're -- You're just covered in blue paint." She said.

Genny was hanging around in the bullpen, that's when Tim walked over to her. "Genny, you're still here?" Tim asked, trying not to sound rude.
Genny smirked. "Ouch," she said sarcastically, Tim gives her a look. "Nolan called said that the moving people got back to him about my bracelet." Genny said.
As if on cue Nolan walked over to the Bradford siblings. "Uh, well, I tracked down the movers. They said they saw a kid throwing it away. They said it sounded like...Tyler." Nolan said.
"But he knows I love that thing. Why would he..." Genny trailed off with realisation. "Because he's mad at me and blames me for the divorce," she looked at Tim. "I should go." She said.
"You want me to talk to him?" Tim asked.
"No. It's fine. I got it," Genny looked at Nolan. "Thanks again." Genny said.
"Of course." Nolan replied and Genny hugged her brother before walking out.
***
There was a riot in the holding cells and Tim had been informed and started giving different officers tasks to do with the prisoners. "Secure him. Get these guys back in their cells. Add assaulting an officer to the charges." Tim said.
"Yeah, I'm good. Really," Nolan was saying to someone and walked over to Tim. "Hey."
"What happened?" Tim asked.
"Uh, the guy we just brought in wasn't very popular." Nolan comments.
"Make sure he gets a cell by himself. You guys okay?" Tim asked.
"Yeah, a little banged up. You good?" Nolan asked.
"Yeah. I'm good." Celina replied.
"Get over to the hospital. Get yourselves checked out." Tim said to them.
"No, we're -- we're really good. We're good." Celina said.
"Yeah." Nolan agreed.
"Watch Commander's orders." Tim deadpanned.
"Yes, sir." Nolan and Celina walked off.
***
Tim walked over to Nolan and Celina after being informed that their suspect had died, Nolan was the one who noticed him first. "Sir, for what it's worth, I don't believe Officer Juarez did anything wrong." He said.
"I hope you're right," Tim said to Nolan before looking at Celina. "I'm gonna have to put you on admin leave." Tim said to Celina.
"W-- Am I fired?" Celina asked.
"You are not fired, but you cannot act in a police capacity until you're cleared. Until then, I'm gonna need your gun, your badge, and your body cam," Celina handed them to Tim. "You'll get these back once you're cleared of any wrongdoing." He said.
"And if I'm not cleared?" Celina asked.
"If you're not cleared, you could be facing murder charges." Tim said to her.
***
Tim was in the bullpen when Chris and Lexi walked over to him, Tim focused on his daughter. "You here about Ryan Davis?" He asked her.
"Yeah." Lexi replied, her hair was hanging below her shoulders when normally she ties it up, she was wearing a white blouse and black pants with black heels.
Chris spoke up and Lexi subtly rolled her eyes, to say she didn't like Chris was an understatement. "You were the acting Watch Commander when the death occurred?" Chris asked.
"Yep." Tim said, nodding his head.
"Where's Officer Juarez now?" Lexi asked, maintaining professionalism.
"In interrogation with Officer Nolan." Tim deadpanned and Lexi gives him a look to which Tim shrugged subtly.
"You allowed her T.O. to wait with her?" Chris asked sounding judgy.
"He's her union rep." Tim deadpanned.
"A-And you don't think that's a conflict of interest?" Chris scoffed.
"That's up for I.A. to decide, and they cleared him." Tim replied coolly.
"Once we're finished with Juarez, we'll need to talk to you." Chris said.
"To get your official statement." Lexi added hastily, she knew her father was trying not to bunch Chris.
"And so you can walk us through exactly what protocols you followed after the death occurred." Chris added.
Tim nodded his head, Lexi and Chris walked past him, Lexi hanging back for a moment. "He sucks and I don't see why Wesley couldn't do this." She sighed.
"Try not to kill him." Is all Tim said.
"I'll try." Lexi said with a laugh before heading to the interrogation room.
***
Chris and Lexi were sitting across from Nolan and Celina, with Lexi trying sit as far away from Chris as possible. "Before we get started, I just wanted to say these kinds of interviews are uncomfortable for all of us, but Ms. Smith and I are here to protect the city of Los Angeles." Chris said, unaware entirely of her actual last name and that was how Lexi liked it.
"Which means we'll be conducting this interview as if you were a suspect in a murder investigation. Got it?" Lexi asked.
"Mm-hmm." Celina hummed.
"This has been explained to Officer Juarez." Nolan said, speaking up.
Lexi glared at Nolan who knew better than to argue with her, especially seeing as her parents terrified him and Lexi terrified Grey of all people. "Yes, I know but I'm going through the motions," Lexi looked at Celina. "You're aware as a police officer, you do not have the right to remain silent?" She asked her.
"Yes. I.A. advised me of my Lybarger rights." Celina said.
"Let's jump right in. After you tackled Mr. Davis, did you notice any signs of a head injury?" Lexi asked her.
"No, he seemed perfectly fine." Celina answered.
"He didn't exhibit any, um, confusion, dizziness, sensitivity to light?" Lexi asked her as calmly as possible.
"N-Not that I observed, but we took him to the hospital just to make sure." Celina said.
"Before the encounter, did Mr. Davis do or say anything that might have made you want to hurt him?" Chris asked.
Lexi rolled her eyes but knew that it was a viable question. "N-No. No, of course not." Celina said, shaking her head.
Nolan looked at her. "Remember, you don't have anything to hide." He reminds her.
"That's what we're here to determine. If you did everything by the book, that's good for both you and the city. It limits our liability." Lexi explained.
"But until we know for sure whether your actions contributed to Mr. Davis's death, we need to be prepared." Chris deadpanned.
"To prosecute me for murder?" Celina asked.
"Yes." Chris replied.
"Shall we continue?" Lexi asked, rolling her eyes at Chris.

Later, Hunter and Grant returned to the station, Hunter looked surprised at seeing Lexi inside Tim's office. "Lexi what are you doing here?" She asked, walking in.
Lexi turned around. "Celina's under investigation." She said. "Chris's gone home, I managed to get him to leave, thankfully, Celina's in the sallyport. I was wondering if you could check on her." Lexi suggested.
Hunter nods. "Can I see the body cam footage?" She asked, Tim showed it to her and Hunter raced out.
***
Hunter walked into the sallyport and noticed Celina was sitting on a stair of some kind. "You can go home, you know?" Hunter asked her.
"You've been informed of what happened?" Celina asked, Hunter nods, Celina sighed. "No, I can't. What if I'm the reason that guy's dead?" She asked Hunter.
Hunter shakes her head. 'I don't think you are. I looked at the body cam footage. That was a takedown any one of us had done 100 times. More likely it happened during the fight in processing or a preexisting condition." She said.
"But even if he had an aneurysm and I'm the reason it went off today and not five years from now --" Celina trailed off.
"Your suspect robbed a jewelry store. He ran from the police. He made those choices. I know what you're going through. In my case, I was directly responsible. I shot and killed a man who pointed a gun at me. And it took me a long time to come to terms with that. But I did." Hunter explained to her.
"How? How can you do your job knowing it might happen again?" Celina asked her.
"By focusing on the good I do and by knowing that it was to save my own life." Hunter deadpanned.
"I don't know if I can." Celina admits.

Nyla, Tim, Hunter, Angela and Grant are in the Detective's pen. "We looked into Ryan's possessions and found this." Nyla shows them a key card.
"Well, he's not staying at a Four Seasons. That narrows it down a little. There's still dozens of low-end hotels and motels we need to search." Tim said.
Tim calls out to the entire bullpen. "Everybody, listen up. We have an eight-month-old infant that was abandoned four to five hours ago, and we need to call every motel within a five-mile radius. Then 10, then 15." He said to them.
That's when Nyla speaks up. "Based on what Ryan's girlfriend told us, this has been Ryan's M.O. for a while now. So he knows how to stay under the radar. He probably checked in under a pseudonym and paid with cash." She said.
"Well, that's gonna make it hard to find him." Lucy comments from where she was having appeared beside Grant.
"Exactly, so start with the lowest of the low, places that rent by the hour and don't check I.D. and work your way up." Angela added.
"We don't stop until we find this missing kid. Got it?" Tim asked, everyone nods and everyone splinters off.
***
Grant and Hunter were searching a hotel seeing as they were closest. "Is it possible to get negative stars?" Grant asked Hunter.
"Uh -- Uh, no. Just..." Hunter paused and looked at the cleaner and switches to Spanish. "Hola, Antonia. Um... estoy buscando un bebé. Y un hombre malo./Hello, Antonia. Um... I'm looking for a baby. And a bad man." Hunter said.
"Dos, sesenta y tres./Two, sixty-three." Antonia said to Hunter.
"Gracias./Thanks." Hunter turned to Grant. "263," the two walked to 263 when someone stepped out of the room next door. "Gun." Hunter warned, she manages to take him down and hands him off to Grant. "You got him?" She asked.
"Huh?" Grant asked.
"Do you got him?" Hunter asked exasperated.
"Yeah!" Aaron replied.
Hunter starts moving quickly. "I'm going to 263!" She yelled at Grant before knocking on the door. "Hey! Police! Open up! I'm coming in," Hunter kicks the door in and looks around before seeing an esky looking thing and she lifts up the lid. "Oh. Hi. Oh, my gosh," Hunter picked up the baby and turned to Grant who'd appeared. "Call it in. Baby's safe. Code-4." She said.
"7-Adam-20, show a Code-4. Baby's safe." Grant said.
***
Later, Hunter got changed out of her uniform and into her street clothes. "Hey, heard you saved the baby." Tim comments.
"Yeah, she was cute." Hunter comments herself. Tim smiled. "Counting the seconds until Grey returns?" Hunter asked.
"You know it." Tim replied, he looked at her thoughtfully. "What are you doing tomorrow night?" He asked.
"Uh, nothing." Hunter replied. "Why?" She asked.
"Wanna go out for dinner?" Tim asked.
Hunter smiled. "Yeah. I do." She said.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Episode 10's date is my favourite part of episode 10 and this is when they start realising the problems of dating while Tim's in Hunter's chain of command.
Hope you enjoy this new chapter.
In the show Lucy rides with Aaron so I decided Grant and Hunter should ride together and they'll probably continuing riding together once Tim's in Metro and is Court Liaison as well.
