Smg4 Fanfiction: Crystal Splezter - Revelations Arc

Plot: Melony suffers betrayal and the biggest fight of her life, while everyone else is pulled along into the battle that will shape destiny's and the world...

(April 2nd - 2022)

Crystal lied back in her bed, playing some hologram games in her head.

She found this just something for her to do when she was bored, lying awake at night when she couldn't sleep.

She sighed, when she suddenly saw some weird message in the corner of her eye.

(INTERCEPTED MESSAGE TO MOM: SCHOOL LETTER)

Crystal: Huh?

Curious, she opened it and read the contents. Her eyes went wide.

Mr Kawaishiima: Dear Mrs Splezter, after carful consideration, The school council and I have decided your Daughter Crystal Splezter is ready to join our junior computer club. This will nurture her cybernetic abilities alongside her extraordinary mind and we hope to hear your feedback as soon as possible - Sincerly, Mr Kawaishiima.

Crystal's smile was bigger then the sun, she was going to get to join her mom in collage and learn more about her abilities! She was so excited, she couldn't wait to tell her mom in the morning.

Leaping out of bed, she ran down the hall of the house as fast as her legs could carry her. When she was just a few feet away from her Mom's bedroom, she stopped.

On the other side, she heard laughing of Meggy and Tari as they snuggled in bed and relaxed.

Tari: (Sigh) I can't believe you and I are gonna be married in just a few weeks.

Meggy: I know, it's kinda mind-blowing for me as well. Just so I know, where are thinking for the honeymoon?"

Tari: I thought you'd wanna go back to that Port Aurora place?

Meggy: Maybe...or perhaps we could just spend all that time in here?

Tari (Flustered): M-Meggy!

Meggy: I know, I'm naughty.

Tari sat up a bit, zipping up her jacket.

Tari: I was just thinking...about the future...

Meggy: What do you mean?

Tari: Well...I was wondering...maybe in a few years, we could...think of moving house? Maybe...even have some kids of our own?

Meggy looked slightly surprised.

Meggy: Really?

Tari: Yeah. D-Don't get me wrong, I love Crystal, it's just-well...I miss that I wasn't their for you when she was younger...I just wanted to have...a child that was both of us from the start so I could prove myself. We could try adopting or IVF or we just don't even need to if you-

Meggy: I love that idea Tari.

Tari: R-really?

Meggy: Yeah, I really do. You're gonna be my wife and I want you to be happy, so...yeah! We can try and have another baby...

Tari: Oh! This is...really exhilarating, I was just speaking what I thought.

Meggy: Though I think I'd prefer if we tried IVF. (Strokes Tari's cheek) I'd do anything for us to have a child with those big blue eyes of yours.

Tari: Aw, cmon Meggy! I'd prefer one with your amazing ginger hair!

The two of them laughed, then shared a kiss as they turned off the lights to go to sleep.

But outside the room, Crystal curled up and sobbed against the wall.

Was her own mom...replacing her?

On the other side of the city, Melony slept alone on her desk in her new apartment, having passed out while writing Two piece with a drawing of her and Axol underneath her head.

Suddenly, she stood up and started sleepwalking. She went to the fridge and managed to drink an entire carton of milk while sleep walking.

Melony: Mmm...calcium...

For a moment, she seemed to glitch out. Then in another red flag moment, she sleepwalked outside her apartment into the unknown, still sleepwalking...

(The next day)

The next day, everyone had gathered at Omnia academy and were on the football pitch, listening to Meggy give a speech.

Meggy: Okay! So the Omnia Academy exams are tomorrow and since I've already dropped Crystal off at her...(shudders)...class...You guys will be my subjects for my coaching exam! So we're gonna train!!!

Mario: Aw S***, here we go again...

Tari: Uh...can I get a pass? Pretty please from your fiancé?

Meggy: Aw, cmon Tari! It's just a little exercise. Now, some motivational music!

Meggy pressed a button on a remote, summoning Amp's from the floor that began singing "Power drive" in an ear splitting frequency. Everyone covered their ears as Luigi's skin was blasted off his skeleton.

Bob: I better be getting paid more for this!

Boopkins: You're getting paid?!

Meggy offered unhelpful encouragement as Mario's head enlarged, when a blast of meme energy hit him in the Side of the head. The music stopped as Meggy turned, Seeing all 4 Smg's as they were practicing Meme energy.

Meggy: Hey! Watch it!

Smg4: S-sorry about that! We're practicing for our exams too!

Smg1: (Facepalms) No no no! You've got the technique all wrong. Try again.

Smg3: Ugh...there has to be a way I can cheat this exam...

Smg4 and 3 focus, summoning forth a PINGUS meme and turning it into meme energy. Meanwhile, Meggy crouched down to check on Mario as he lied facedown in the floor.

Meggy: You alright Red?

Before he could answer, Melony whisked in her deity form by and accidentally grabbed Mario as she was being chased by Sandbags with laser guns and jet-packs.

Niles: Good! Now counter! Triple strike!

The voice calling out was Melony's new friend was Niles, a former bully who agreed to be her mentor and train her powers. Clearly, it was working well.

Jumping off a nearby wall mid-flight, Melony followed his command and sliced all three training sandbags in half.

Niles: Way to go!!!

Melony lowered to the ground, shedding her deity form and dropping her sword as she felt very tired.

Niles: Melony, you did it! You controlled-

Niles stopped, seeing Melony had already passed out on the ground.

Niles: Okay, fine. Take a rest! You earned it.

Letting her sleep, Niles looked into the distance. The wind blew past him calmly as he slowly smiled.

Niles: I think it's time...

...

Crystal sat alone in the corner, crying to herself.

Crystal: W-why...?

Her whole life, she'd been the golden girl and the only child. Now her mom was just...going to replace her?! How...could she?!?

Crystal: They're both happy and now they just wanna throw me aside, replace me with just another child. I'm...I'm super smart for my age, I...!

She stumbled on her words, trying to think.

Crystal: Maybe it would just be better if...if I left...saved them the trouble...

As she entered possibly the darkest mindset she'd been in her life, she heard rustling from the bushes outside the classroom window.

Looking out the window, she became curious. Why were there a bunch of people wearing...box hats...?

As Melony continued to sleep, the box club leader emerged from the bushes. Although he had seemingly been tossed aside by Mario weeks prior, he had returned with a new goal.

Box club leader: Guys!!! There she is!! The Messiah!!!

Whether they were delusional or mistaken about their idea of a messiah, the rest of the box club quickly ran up and grabbed Melony. Dragging her away from the pitch, Meggy saw this happen from afar.

Meggy: Uh...guys?

Smg4 and 3 couldn't hear her, busy turning meme energy into a giant power ball.

Meggy: Guys!

Annoyed and distracted, they broke concentration as the energy ball flew behind them and blew up a building, not even noticing.

Smg4: Uh, yes?

Meggy: Melony's being kidnapped by the box club!

Knowing he used to be a member, Saiko picked up Mario by the neck.

Saiko: You have anything to do with this?

Mario: No! Mario's a good boy now! I swear!

Smg4: Ugh, they probably just wanna put a box on her head or something. (Sigh) Let's go save her.

The gang took off at top speed, running after the box club as the leader carried Melony along with him.

Watching from afar, Crystal watched both groups from the classroom door. With wonder and determination, she grabbed her backpack and snuck out the class to follow them.

Meggy used her phone and called in Mr Monitor, who arrived in his car form.

Mr Moniter: You called!?

Hopping inside, The box club leader panicked as he saw a police car driving towards him. Turning Melony into her melon form, he threw her like a ball to one of his club members before being rammed by the car.

The member caught her, but Bob was right on their tail...

Bob: Hey, that's our thick piece of fruit!

With Boopkins wearing a daredevil helmet, Bob threw the fishy at the member as he flew past and grabbed Melony from his hands.

Boopkins: Guys, I got her!

His joy was short lived as a shirtless box club member chased him down.

Desti came in for the save, throwing Boopkins and Melony in away as Saiko kicked the member to the side. Mario elongated his nose as Smg4 grabbed it, swinging him like a bat and knocking the member out cold. To top it off, Tari walked over and hit him with a plush hammer.

Meggy facepalmed.

Everyone celebrated...but then...

Meggy: Uhh guys...where's Boopkins and Melony?

To the side, Boopkins and the box club leader were in the middle of a slap fight when the latter grabbed Melony and ran.

Smg2: In there!

The box club leader ran into the library, opening a secret hatch in the floor and disappearing into it as the rest followed.

Behind them, Crystal peered from behind the wall, tip toeing after them...

...

The gang entered, unable to believe their eyes...

The room was portrayed like a demonic ritual. The symbol for the god box hung over the room, the whole club standing around Melony as she lied still sleeping on a table.

Box club leader: Oh, mighty god box, the messiah is here! we are finally ready-

Smg4: Melony!!!

The leader turned around, annoyed as he saw everyone else standing there.

Desti: Alright box head, hand over the melon girl and walk away before I turn this whole room purple!

Smg1: The god box isn't something we should be messing around with!

Smg4: Cmon you idiots, give her back!

Box club leader: Hehe...right into our trap...NOW MINIONS!

Smg4 looked up just in time, seeing a giant box being pulled from its restraints and falling on top of them. This whole thing was a trap!

Outside, Crystal had narrowly avoided being trapped herself, hiding behind the wall.

Desti: What the hell?!

Saiko: I'm gonna kill those nerds when I get out of here!!

The minions threw some canisters into the box through the giant eye holes. Gas started leaking into the box, making everyone cough.

Tari: (Coughing) What's this stuff?!

Smg3: Ah crap, it's tear gas...

Bob: (Wearing disco wig) Oh boy, time to get Hi-I-I-I-I-Igh!

The gas knocked Bob out cold, followed by everyone else as they all hit the floor.

Saiko (Drowsy): Stupid...nerds...

Saiko was the last one to fall before she fell unconscious...

...

Smg4 awoke with groggy eyes, but what he saw confused him even more.

He and Smg3 were tied down to a table, their hands forcefully joined by metal bands. Smg's 1 and 2 were in the same situation, everyone else stuck in a nearby cell except Crystal still hiding behind the wall.

Smg3: Oi! What the hell is this!?

Everyone in the box club surrounded them, Melony in the centre for some kind of ritual.

Smg4: Let us go now!!"

Box club leader: Guys, guys, guys. Calm down, it will all be over soon.

Tari: Meggy, what are we gonna do?!

Meggy: I don't know, I'm just glad Crystal isn't near any of this...

Desti: Hey, let us out before I break every last one of your box skulls!

Luigi: : W-what are you gonna do with us?

Box club leader: Glad you asked! (Approaches Melony) I've gathered you all here to give you the opportunity to ascend! Ascend and Finally meet the glorious god box!

Smg3's interest was instantly peaked. Smg4 however...

Smg4: I am so sick of hearing about this god box! Can't you just leave us alone?!

Smg3: But Smg4, we could be stronger then ever if what they say is true.

Smg1: NO! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY THIS!? IF WE OPEN THE GOD BOX, THE WHOLE WORLD IS DOOMED!

Box club leader: Silence heathen! It is time to begin...

The leader hit a button, beginning the process...

The metal bands around the Smg's hands began to glow, causing them pain as it forcefully activated their meme powers.

Box club leader: Offerings! Get in place!

His club members gathered around Melony in the centre of the room, chanting like in a demonic ritual. With the press of a button, the leader forcefully made all 4 Smg's use their powers, causing them pain as they all screamed.

Mario: NOO! Smg4!!

Box club leader: Yes!! Good!!

The members began to disappear, sacrificing their own lives as they became nothing but meme energy. The energy swirled into one location, the outside of the legendary god box seen through a portal until...

The energy vanished, leaving behind some kind of space drop-plane. The whole gang stared in confusion as Crystal looked in wonder from the side.

Smg3: The hell?

Tari: It's...it's a spaceship?

Saiko: What the hell is he going to do? Flying to this god box?

Box club leader: Haha! That is exactly what we're going to do.

Smg1: Fool! One doesn't simply fly to the god box. It's not from this universe!

Box club leader: Haha, I know you blue square idiot. That's where the messiah comes in.

The leader walked over to Melony, shaking her on the table as she started to stir from her sleep.

Box club leader: Oh glorious messiah...it is now your turn.

Smg4: What the hell is going on!?

Meggy: Melony! Kick his ass and free us!

Melony sat up, hand on her forehead...

Meggy: M-Melony?

Then...she turned to them in confusion.

Melony: Guys? Where am I?

She looked around. On the other side of the cage from the the others, Niles stood looking at her with a confused look.

Melony: Niles? What's going on?

The Mario bros faces twisted into confusion, exchanging a nervous glance to One another.

Mario: Niles?

Luigi: Whose that?

Melony: What do you mean? (Points) Our friend Niles is right there.

Everyone turned to the other side of the cell, seeing.........nothing.

Melony went silent as Niles stared back at her, his face portraying a mix of fear and confusion as the others looked back at her.

Tari: Melony...

Desti: No ones there!

Niles grinned.

Everyone went silent, not a breath could be heard.

And Melony was frozen in shock.

Melony: W-what?

Niles started to walk forward, a smile plastering his face like he'd just won a bet. His whole body phased through the cell bars.

Melony's mind was racing, trying to think back.

That day on the bridge...

Niles: And secondly, take a minute to see how far you've come...

He glitched away. He wasn't even their that day...

Then the day in detention...

Niles: Lesson 1: Expect the unexpected...

She remembered the brawl with swag and Chris, how Niles helped Mario fight-

Wait, that wasn't Niles their. It was her helping Mario...

Crystal poked from behind the wall, wondering what Melony was looking at as she started to scan the area.

Melony's eyes narrowed, remembering the incident on the bus...

With all her strength, she tried to pull Boopkins and Bob back onboard through the window before they fell out.

Boopkins: PULL HARDER!!!

Melony: Need help!!

Niles: Trust me. I couldn't help even if I wanted to.

Then later, when he offered to be her friend and offered her a hand to further confuse her.

Niles: Cmon, I'm serious. I'll help ya!

Then the reality set in for her, remembering how Tari looked back and saw her talking to an empty seat.

Crystal narrowed her eyes, finding a physically invisible figure right in front of Melony. But...what was wrong with his coding?

Niles stopped before Melony, crossing his arms as he made her recall the night before.

A sleepwalking Melony approached the box club leader, trying to unlock his club room after it had been shut down.

He turned around as he heard something. Melony offered him her sword, Niles controlling every move of her unconscious body. The man behind the slaughter.

The leader looked down at the sword, coming to an epiphany as he hollered to the skies...

Box club leader: The messiah is here! The Messiah is here!!

And as Melony looked into Niles's face, she could only ask...

Melony: Who...who are you?

Niles moved his hand to his face, brushing the hair away as Melony leaned back in shock.

Crystal finally finished her scan as her face turned to pure horror. She'd only seen this code once before and it took all her will not to scream...

And as Niles face was fully exposed, in the place of his other eye...

There was nothing. Just empty skin.

Then his only eye shifted to the middle of his face, before he looked to the floor. When he looked upwards...

His eye was red, his pupil a circle with a line through it.

ZERO had returned...

Niles: It's been a while...ey Melony?

Melony's face of shock and horror...quickly turned to pure...rage.

Axol, his sacrifice, everything that happened to him and them, all for nothing...

And all...because...of this...MONSTER!!!

Melony: YOU!!!!!

Melony's rage exploded in a shockwave around her as she entered her deity form. Everyone had to bury their feet into the ground and hold onto something as the Box club leader was blow off his feet and into a wall.

But he got back up, pure joy on his face.

Box club leader: The messiahs true form is here!!!

Niles rose his 3 fingered hand to his chin, joy bubbling into a low chuckle that turned into an echoing mad man's laugh.

Drawing her sword with full intent to kill, Melony pointed the weapon at Niles before he did something unexpected.

Leaping forward, Niles phased into Melony's body like a ghost, causing her to hunch over from the impact. Unable to see Niles, The rest of the cast looked on in confusion and worry. Melony rose up, eyes wide.

Tari: Melony, are you okay?

Smg4: Quick, get us out of here!!

Melony leapt on top of the table, pointing her sword at the box club leader. Even through the box on his head, the fear in his eyes was clear.

Meggy: Yes, that's it Melony!!

Instead of stabbing the guy however, Melony pointed her sword to the opening in the roof. A beam of light shot to the sky, creating a portal. A strange looking room could be seen, the word "Glitch" seen on a wall.

Smg2: She's opened a portal to the great beyond.

Smg1: Oh no. Oh no, oh no!

Smg4: What? What is it?

Smg1: She's going to the god box.

Melony looked back at everyone as Niles grinned behind the mask of his human puppet. That wasn't Melony in control. The ship turned and opened as Melony hopped in, setting the engines to full blast.

Box club leader: WAIT! TAKE ME WITH YOU!!!

The box club leader jumped into the jet, right before the doors closed. It aimed to the sky, taking off at full speed as it entered the sky portal.

And everyone else was left in stunned silence, with the same question...

What had happened to Melony?

...

The portal took the ship into a new realm, unlike anything anyone seen before...

The great beyond looked almost entirely different. Walls lined with posters, couches and plushies of some kind of killer robots.

And Melony smirked, Niles knowing he was right on track.

All the while, the box club leader was losing his goddamn mind.

Box club leader: I...CAN'T...BELIEVE...WE'RE GONNA SEE THE GOD BOX. (Heavy panting) IS IT JUST ME OR IS IT GETTING HOT IN HERE?

Annoyed, Melony handed him an empty pizza box.

Melony: Play with this...

He took it gladly, opening and closing the box like it was some kind of fun game. Melony simply rolled her eyes.

Then the ship came close to a box in the corner of the room, bearing the symbol...of the god box. Melony's face dawned at the realisation.

Melony: We're here...

The leader dropped the pizza box and looked in sheer amazement.

Box club leader: Oh...my...god box.

The box took form to something more familiar. The cardboard became black rock, red glowing lining the image on the front. The box club leader repeatedly yelled "holy crap" before praying on his knees.

Box club leader: Dear god box, please show me the divine way of your holy boxiness. Dear god box, please show me the divine way of your holy boxiness.

Melony pressed some buttons on the console, pulling back a lever as the ship moved closer.

Box club leader: Open it, open it!!

Taking a deep breath, Melony activated the ship's signature weapon.

A deity sword unleaded below the ship, charging and shooting a beam of energy into the hole in the front of the box.

The charge worked...as the lid opened...

The box slowly opened, light pouring out as Melony and the box club leader watched in splendour.

Box club leader: Unlimited power...

The two watched as the white light turned to a fountain of red glowing energy shooting into the sky.

Melony's jaw was dropped as the box club leader grinned like a little boy on Christmas Eve.

And with the box's power in their grasp...who could stop them now?

(Smg4 Revelations...)

Back in Omnia academy, Bomberman was watching an interesting video about feet when the floorboard came out from under him.

Mario kicked the door and the poor guy into a wall, the gang having managed to escape their cell and escape the dungeon. Unknown to everyone else, Crystal snuck out after them and hid behind a bookshelf.

Mario: Where is that box club leader, I'm gonna kill him!

Smg4: I don't think they're here anymore Mario...

Saiko: What...happened to Melony? Why'd she open that portal?

Desti: I'm gonna give a no brainier and guess Melony didn't have her hands on the driving seat.

Tari: What?

Meggy. Desti means that...it's like she was being possessed.

Mario: Uhh...guys?

The gang looked out the door, their eyes widening...

The sky had turned a shade of blood red, black clouds swirling in the sky.

Smg1: No...it can't be...

Then meteors started to fall from the sky in balls of fire. People screamed and sirens blared as the ground was littered with destruction. The streets were littered with destroyed buildings and unlucky bystanders.

Smg1: The god box is open...

Luigi: What's...what's going to happen to us?

Smg1: We're done for...

Smg3: No, that can't just be it! There has to be something we can-!

Saiko: Guys, watch out!

A meteor flew right into their direction.

Mario, Smg4 and Smg3 barley had to to scream, before the flaming rock landed nearby and everything went dark...

...

Smg4 awoke on the ground, pushing himself up from the dirt.

Smg4: Uh, what's going on...?

His ears ringing, Smg4 looked at the chaos surrounding him.

Boopkins dazed on the ground as Bob was on fire and yelling.

Luigi injured and crawling to Mario on the ground.

Smg3 and Saiko in a daze.

Meggy getting back to her feet as Tari tried to reattach her Meta arm.

Smg1 helping Smg2 back to his feet.

Wait...where was-

Desti: Hey, someone get me outta here!

Smg4 snapped out of his daze, everyone looking to see Desti's feet kicking wildly from under a pile of rubble.

Meggy: Crap, someone help her!

Everyone ran over and started rummaging through the rubble, finding Desti as they pulled her up and she immediately fell on her knee. Meggy put a hand on the back of her shoulder.

Meggy: You okay?

Desti: My backs a bit singed, but I'm good.

She looked up, scratches and scars covering her face that probably wouldn't fade for years, even at all. Smg4 knew they were gonna die out here if they didn't get to shelter. He knew it was anyone's game, so he activated their plan.

Smg4: Guys!! Evacuate everyone to the bunker!

Everyone looked in confusion.

Smg4: Now!!!

Everyone nodded.

...

At Peach's castle, Mario was singing the tune of "one potato, two potato" as he kicked toads into Smg4's moving van.

When peach came to yell at him, he kicked her in as well and hopped in himself as Smg4 took off at full speed.

...

In Inkopalis, the carnage was all the same as Desti's former teammates straggled for safety. One was separated as she saw a meteor coming right towards them, when a splat-bomb took it out easily.

The 3 were totally shocked to see Desti coming to their rescue.

Desti: Just because I'm saving you doesn't mean I'm not still pissed at you, now move it!!!

Knowing better then to argue, they all followed without an argument.

Nearby, Meggy's parents were narrowly managing to dodge meteor's as their house was hit with one, destroying the roof.

Charlotte: Norm, what's happening?!

Norman: I don't know, this is a first!

Desti ran past with the others, getting their attention.

Desti: Mr and Mrs Splezter, you need to get out of here!

Charlotte: What's going on?

Norman: Where is Meggy?!

Desti. She's getting HER kid, now get moving before we all get pummelled!

Charlotte: But-

Desti: MOVE YOUR ASSES!!

The two went silent as Desti had to physically kick them to get them moving.

...

In town, Tari and Saiko worked together to save Belle, Rob, Jub Jub and Whimpu while Luigi and Bob saved Steve, Bob robbing him in the process.

Boopkins used a fake convention sign to get all the Anime girls safe and Mr Monitor lead the charged as he escorted people to safety.

Everyone everyone was being rushed into the bunker, Desti showed her rare soft spot as she returned a lost inkling child to its mother. Tari looked in from the side, reminiscing.

Then her phone blared wildly, seeing it was Meggy. When she picked up the call, Meggy's voice was panicked and tired.

Meggy: Tari!!! It's awful, it's not good, it's-!!

Tari: Meggy, calm down! What's happening?!

Meggy: It's Crystal!! She...she's...

Tari: Meggy, what's going on?!

Meggy: She's not in the school!! She's gone, I can't find her!!

Tari's horror set in, making her drop the phone as it cracked and broke.

...

Melony docked the ship on the side of the god box, the box club leader running out to see the box in all its glory.

Box club leader: OH GOD BOX, PLEASE GIVE ONTO ME UNLIMITED POWER!

He stared at the vast amount of energy within the box...

Box club leader: UNLIMITED POWER!!

Before jumping into the water like energy. He re-emerged, his eyes glowing as he absorbed such power.

Box club leader: YES! YES! I FEEL IT!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!!! GOD BOX, FILL ME WITH YOUR MIGHT!

His whole body was glowing red, more by the second when he started flashing red. Unfortunately for him, his body had limits that were being really overdone.

Box club leader: NO! THAT'S ENOUGH-WAIT, NO, THAT'S TOO MUCH!!! STOP, WAIT!!! NOOOOOO!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAA-!!!!!!!!!!!!

And finally, the strain proved too much as he screamed in absolute agony, fire bursting from his eyes as his whole body caught aflame.

Then he finally exploded like confetti, his quest for power having ended in death as Melony looked down without sympathy.

Melony: Idiot...

Now that her biggest annoyance was gone, Melony walked back into the ship and took off as she flew right into the god box.

Right towards ultimate power...

...

As fire and rock continued falling onto the kingdom, Smg4 was with Mario, Smg3 and the latter's pet Ugandan Knuckles (better know as Terrence) as they searched the wreckage for people.

Smg4: Find any survivors guys?

Smg3 looked when Terrence hopped off his shoulder.

Smg3: What is it Terrence? What is it boy?

Terrence sniffed out a piece of broken road under the rubble. Moving it, Smg3 found the old man underneath it. He was injured but alive. Happy, Smg3 gave the pet a head pat.

Smg3: Good find Terrence!

Mario kicked the old man into the truck of survivor's. Just one of a few hundred left to find.

Smg4: Say...where's Smg1 and 2 go?

A horn blast got their attention, when they looked to the sky to see something unbelievable.

Smg1 and 2 flew in, driving a giant ship that looked similar to Smg2's Guardian Pod.

Mario: Woah, cool spaceship!

Smg1 and 2 opened the ship's cockpit as they hopped out holding Smg3 and 4's guardian pods.

Smg2: Super meme guardians! We must call upon the power of our guardian pods once more!

Smg1: So we retrieved them from our super secret hiding place: Underneath our mattress!

Smg4: That's where you hid them?

The two threw the pods in the air, making them merge together as they became a ship similar to their own, but having blue and white colours instead of black and white. The rest looked in shock.

Unbeknownst to them however, Crystal was seen climbing into the back of the ship as she pulled herself up the side.

Smg2: We're going to go after Melony and close the god box! Now, GET TO DA CHOPPA! (Looks atSmg1) Hehe...I always wanted to say that.

Smg4 and 3 hopped on board and looked around in confusion.

Smg4: How...how do we fly this thing?

An nearby explosion encouraged them to hurry up.

Smg3: Just start pressing buttons!

Crystal watched from the side, using her hologram vision on the ship's panel as she made a red button on the control deck glow red. Smg4 pushed it in curiosity, turning on the engines.

Smg4: Alright!

A yell from below made Smg4 look down at Mario.

Mario: Can I come too?

Smg4: Look Mario, the fate of the universe rests on us. So if we take you, can you please promise not to screw this up?

Mario: PINGUS.

Smg4: Good enough. Hop on.

Mario jumped in the backseat, humming like an idiot. The hatch closed and both ships took off, flying towards to portal Melony made in the sky.

Smg1: Buckle up boys, we're going through that portal!

Smg4: Where does it go?

Smg2: To the god box and the great beyond!!!

And so, both ships flew fast into the portal and into the great beyond...

The moment the ships flew in, Mario Smg3 and Smg4 were bewildered.

Smg4 and Smg3: Woah...

The great beyond was unlike anything they'd ever seen, almost completely realistic.

Mario: Everything's all...weird looking.

Smg4: It kinda reminds me of selling marketable plushies for some reason...

???: Kinda spooky!

Confused, the three turned around. They saw Crystal looked out the window in wonder.

Smg4: Crystal!?/Smg3: Little brat!?/Mario: Kiddo!?

Crystal went red in the face like a deer in headlights, turning to look at the shocked and angry identical men.

Crystal: Uhh....hi?

Smg4: Crystal, what the...heck...are you doing here?!!?

Crystal: I...I, uh...It was scary in my class so I hid in here!

Smg3: Well, you can't come with us you stupid kid!

Mario: Oh, Meggy is going to cut off Mario's meatballs!

Smg3: Nope, not doing this! I'm turning around and we're sending you back with your mom to wait in the bunker!

A look of fear crossed Crystal face when the others weren't looking, but the computer screen came up as Smg3 went to the controls. On the screen, Smg1 appeared.

Smg1: Guys, why are you turning around?!

Smg3: Meggy kid stowed away on the ship and we're sending her back!

Smg1: Sorry, but this is a time sensitive mission and we don't have long. We can't waste how long we have by turning around.

Smg4: He's sorta right, it is a meteor shower back home.

Mario: And Mario would rather stay here forever then suffer Meggy's wrath.

Smg3: You agree with this nonsense!?

Smg4 and Mario: YES!

A look of happiness was on Crystal's face.

Smg3: Well, I'm not risking this whole deal if this kid can't even do anything-!

Smg3's chair immediately shocked him, zapping him with enough power to make his hair smoke. Crystal gave him a glare as she used her hologram eyes and silently threatened to do it again.

Smg3: Okay...she can stay...

Crystal: Thank you mister 3. Mister 1, where are we?

Smg1: Well child, Welcome to the great beyond. The place in between places.

Smg2: (Pitches in) Legends says this is a magical dimensions that connects all universes together!

Crystal: Woah!

Mario: I don't get it-

In just a second, the ships both began quake as if the ground were being shaken. Everyone grabbed a chair to hold onto as a nearby giant emerged from behind the huge door. Everyone screamed, Crystal grabbed onto Mario and crushed the air out of his lungs.

Smg3: What the heck is that?!

Smg4: He looks...strangely familiar...

Luke, the real life actor for Smg4, walked through his presentation studio and looked at his old box, glowing an ominous red.

Luke: Uh, Kev? Why is there an ominous red light coming from my box of broken PC stuff? (Thinks) Meh, it's probably nothing.

Luke walked away, not giving a care to the "God box" as he walked out the nearby door.

The figure was gone and Mario commented on his "THICCNESS".

Smg2: The unfathomable being of the great beyond has shown us the way!

The two ships floated towards the box, Smg1 looking in wonder...

Smg1: It's the god box!

The box came into view for everyone's shock, red light cascading from its opened seal that was destroying their home.

Smg1: My word...I never thought I'd witness this in person.

Smg3 looked at the box, his eyebrows narrowing.

Smg3: Unlimited...power...

Mario: That's a spicy meatball!

Crystal: It's...it's amazing...

Smg4 set the ship down on the side of the box.

Smg4: Alright, let's go save Melony.

Smg2: You guys go. We need to stay and find a way to close this box.

Smg1: Yeah, by how big this thing is, It's not gonna be as simple as closing the lid.

Smg3: Works for me, let's go!

Hitting a button, the ship rose into the air ready to go.

Smg4: Wow Smg3, I never knew you were so keen to save our friends.

Smg3: What? Oh yeah, right...save...friends...

Smg4: Alright Crystal, I want you to stay put and not touch anything that might blow us up.

Crystal: Oh...okay.

Crystal sat down as the ship took off, rocketing inside the god box.

They entered a dimension that was entirely different. The world around them was swirly with colours of purple and pink, almost like a violet bog.

Smg4 and Smg3: Woah...

Crystal and the Smg's shared a look of shocked faces, Crystal pulling her backpack back over her shoulders as Mario looked out the window.

Mario: This looks like the inside of Mario's toilet.

Smg4: Stay alert and look for Melony guys.

Smg3: Uhhh...what the heck is that?

In the distance, they saw a version of Morshu, glowing red and broken in several places. The screen came to life and looked at the meme.

Smg1: So the myths are true. That's an anti meme. After memes become too corrupted and the universe collapses, pieces of the universe and I guess the memes end up here.

Mario: Mario doesn't like the way it's looking at us.

The meme looked at them...and then it pounced!

Cursing, Smg4 pounded the controls as the craft blasted off at full speed.

Morshu chased them down, forcing them to swerve past other Anti memes to avoid him, but he was right on their tail.

Smg4: Any ideas on what to do guys?!

Smg3 panicked, then came up with an idea as he looked at a floating island in the distance and back at Crystal.

Smg3: Kid, use your weird tech eyes and charge the engines to full!

Crystal: Huh-?

Smg3: Just do it!

Crystal was confused as she found a control panel on the back, hacking the engines so that they went super fast as Smg3 steered the ship right in the direction of the floating isle.

Smg4: 3, what the heck are you doing?!

Smg3: Kid, on my call, kill the engines!

Crystal: Agh, okay!

Alarms blared as the ship came even closer.

Smg3: Wait for it...

Smg4: 3, we're gonna hit that island!!

Mario hit the back of the ship as the force became too much, Crystal's eyes becoming bloodshot.

Smge: Wait for it!

Smg4: 3, we're gonna die!

Smg3: Now!!!

Crystal killed the engines as Smg3 swerved down at the last second, using the remaining burst force to descend as the Anti meme crashed head first into the isle.

The ship slowed down and turned around at the sight, Mario hitting her floor and Crystal passing out from the stress.

Smg4: Wow, nice going Smg3!

Smg3 looked up at the unconscious Anti Meme, a thought coming to his mind. He grabbed Smg4's hand to conduct an "Experiment".

Smg4: What are you doing?

Smg4 went silent as their eyes went white, using their meme powers.

Absorbing the Anti Meme's energy, The two found the reaction as power surged through their bodies, their hands and hats sparking with red and black electricity.

Smg4: Woah!!

Smg3: This...this feels amazing!!!

Looking up, Smg3 saw another anti meme coming towards them. Shooting the energy they gathered, the anti meme exploded in a ball of red and purple fire.

Smg3: That...felt...amazing!!

Letting go of eachother's hands, the red glow faded.

Smg4: Yeah...that did feel good.

The screen came popping up as Smg1 and 2 appeared on it.

Smg1: Guys...anti meme energy is really unstable. I wouldn't suggest using that again.

Smg3: Yeah yeah yeah. Hey!! (Points to floating Isle) Is that one of those destroyed universe pieces?

Smg4: Oh! Maybe Melony's ended up in their?

With hope as they others started to wake up, Smg4 drove the ship forward into the dimension void...

The first world they went too was a world of bananas. Everyone their either wore, ate, were or worshiped bananas. When a banana heavy saw the ship approached, he jumped up. Smg4 activated the ships megaphone.

Smg4: Hey! Have you seen a melon girl anywhere?

A moment of silence passed, then the banana heavy screamed in anger since they hated all food aside from bananas. As Crystal screamed, Smg3 knew a bad situation when he saw one and turned the ship around.

The ship slowed down outside, Crystal clinging to Mario's head for dear life.

Mario: This is why Mario doesn't trust healthy food!

Crystal (Shaking):  I am never gonna look at Bananas the same way again...

Smg4: Ugh, she has to be around here somewhere. Keep looking guys!

They started making their way to a large corral of various dimensions, while Mario's stomach rumbled.

Mario: Oh, all this looking is Making Mario hungry. Anyone got any food?

Crystal: Oh, i think I do!

Crystal rooted through her backpack, handing Mario a roll of cookies that he immediately began to chomp down on. When Crystal went to grab her bag again, she accidentally knocked it over, spilling the insides.

Crystal: Oh no!

As Crystal scrambled to get everything back in her backpack, Mario took an odd look at the floor. He knelt down and looked at the stuff.

Mario: What's all this kid?

Crystal: It's...nothing uncle Mario.

Mario: Spare clothes, a flashlight and you've got enough food in here to last you for weeks. Why is there-?

Crystal: It's...nothing! Just drop it!

She scrambled even faster, trying to grab as many things as she could when Mario grabbed her arm. She looked up, tears prickling in her eyes.

Mario: Kid...just talk to me...

She sniffled, wiping her eyes...

Crystal: Okay...

While the two talked, Smg4 guided the ship through a series of different dimensions. All of them were chaos...

A world of living bread where they had the sense to leave immediately.

One where they got chased by a giant Hank hill.

A distorted version of FNAF that they had the right mind to blow up with a Bob-omb on the way out.

Smg1 and 2's old world, which brought a tear to Smg4's eye.

Then a world of dancing skeletons. Smg3 started giving them money, so Smg4 had to slap him to get him moving.

At the end of all that, still no Melony...

As they left the last dimension, Mario was sitting and listening to Crystal as they ate cookies, but she was more so talking then eating.

Crystal: And then when I went to show them the letter...I heard them talking. They talked about when they were getting married and they said they were thinking about...having a baby.

That made Mario spit out his cookies, chocking for a moment.

Crystal: For all these years, I just remember Mommy caring for me with all her heart, even when she fell in love with momma Tari. I know she's still understanding everything with me and going to her school, But...when I heard she wanted another baby...I felt abandoned.

Mario gave her a sad look.

Crystal: I didn't even have the strength to tell her about the letter. I thought...if she wants a real family with momma...it's best if I just leave them alone.

Mario: Crystal, you've got to understand that Meggy loves you and-

Crystal: I know she does! But not enough if she wants to...to replace me!

Mario: Crystal, nothing I've heard in that story says she wants to replace you. Before I knew either of you, it was the two of you against the world. I don't think anything could change that.

Crystal: I...I...

Mario: In fact, I can imagine she's worried right now because she can't find you.

Back at the kingdom, Tari was curled up against the wall as Meggy relived her stress by breathing into a paper bag. Desti awkwardly patted her on the back.

Desti: Yeesh, you two are the ultimate drama queens...

Mario: I'll admit, when my bro was their, I also felt a bit abandoned! But I realised that no matter how much attention Luigi needed, my mama and papa loved us both the same. Nothing changes who your family is, or how much they love you.

Mario: Can I tell you about a time I felt alone?

She looked up in curiosity.

Mario: When that Zero Asshole took Mario hostage, I kept thinking to myself...is this it? Am I gonna be alone forever when he destroys all my friends? I know I don't say stuff like this often, but...in that moment, I was never more scared in my life.

She went silent.

Mario: But I knew that even if it didn't end well, or I ended up...dying, I'd never be able to replace my friends in the next life. Same goes for them. Your Moms don't wanna replace you Crystal, they just...wanna give that same love and care to someone else...

Crystal was silent, trying to think.

Crystal: I-

Smg4: Guys, we've got company!!!

Unaware of the pairs conversation, Smg4 and Smg3 saw an Anti meme coming in their direction. As Mario and Crystal shrieked, Smg4 and 3 held their hands and used their powers to absorb the energy.

As the black and red energy swirled their bodies, malicious smiles spread across their faces as they looked towards a hoard of Anti Memes.

Smg3: Crystal, guide this ship full power towards those Anti memes!

Crystal: What?! But...but-

Smg3: Move this ship you little cretin!!

Scaring her, Crystal used her powers to boost the ship towards the Anti memes, Smg3 and Smg4 absorbing their power with every passing second.

With the last one in their path, they twisted the meme into a ball of energy that they launched at a nearby Dimension isle.

...

Inside the isle, a sentient crab couple was in their living when their son ran in.

Crab son: Mommy, mommy, look what I drew!

Crab mother: Oh son, that's marvellous!

Crab father: I'm so happy son! You make me so happy-!

As he finished the sentence, the energy collided with the house and blew it up.

...

Mario watched from outside as the isle fell into the destruction of the abyss. Crystal stumbled back and started panting from using her powers.

Mario looked towards the Smg's at the front, energy surrounding their whole bodies as their eyes had a crazed look and yellow colour to them.

Filled with power, each clenched their fists.

Smg4: Woah Ho Ho!!!

Smg3: Hahaha!! Yes!! Feel the power!!!

Mario: Guys...I'm scared...

Smg4 stomped his foot, getting in Mario's face as his voice deepened.

Smg4: Shut up Mario, you don't understand what it's like to be BLESSED BY THE GOD BOX!!!

Crystal shrieked as Smg4's voice became near demonic by the end. He finally snapped out of it, the energy fading.

Smg4: Sorry You two, I...I don't know what came over me...

Smg3: Hey! Look!

Smg4 came back to the front...and they finally saw her.

Flying the spacecraft she summoned, Melony floated before a dimension isle as Niles smiled from inside Melony's mind.

Niles: I knew it would be here. The universe I was making just for us. Until those wannabe Smg's and that glitch of a child ruined everything. But don't worry good buddy, I'm going to fix it and then we'll live happily ever after...

Smg4: Melony! It's me, Smg4!!!

Niles became annoyed as he retook Melony's body.

Smg4: Please come home with us!!

Melony: Fools...

Activating the weapons, Melony turned the ship and reigned fire onto the others. Smg4 barley swerved the ship out the way.

Smg3: THIS CRAZY WAIFU IS GONNA KILL US!!

Melony screamed as she launch a full onslaught. The guardian ship swerved and took off at the highest available speed, avoiding the shots by flying through an astroid field.

The chase took them through a dimension of hideo kojema's and past an anti meme that Melony destroyed with the ship's sword laser.

When the Anti meme exploded, Melony lost track of the guardian ship and didn't realise it was coming right behind her. With a chance at hand, Smg3 unleashed the ship's full firepower.

Mario: Wait! Melony's on there!

Smg3: What do you expect us to do? Nothing and die?!

With the game of cat and mouse reversed, Melony took off at high speed and performed an ultimate backflip manoeuvre that got her back behind the guardian ship. Having enough, she fired the ship's missiles.

The guardian ship dodged the hit, the occupants breathing a sigh of relief...until Melony grinned.

The missiles came back around, locked onto the guardian ship as they hit the vessel full force. The ship was damaged and alarms blared.

Smg3: Crap! Major damage to the left wing!

Smg4: That's okay! We can-

Any plans were cut off by Melony, screaming as she landed shot after shot. Glass could be heard breaking as Mario screamed in a panic.

Crystal gave a look of determination, grabbing her head as she put all her focus onto the ships powers and diverted all of what she could to the shields. It worked, but it wouldn't last long until they failed as it caused her to groan in pain.

Smg4: The ship! It's taken too much damage! It's not moving!

Mario: Smg4, the shield won't last another Minute at this rate!

Smg4: We're so close to taking her down!

Smg3: We still can!!

As their only hope, Smg3 pointed to a cluster of Anti memes nearby.

Mario: Guys! Smg1 said not to use the anti meme energy. It's not good for us!

But they didn't hear him, already tapping into their power to control the energy. Crystal fell to her knees and held her head tightly as the strain of keeping the shield up became too much.

Mario: SMG4! PLEASE!

They two had smiles across their faces, the energy returning as Mario's pleas fell on deaf ears.

Smg3: Yes! Feel that power!

Smg4: Yes, I feel it!!

Mario cowered behind a desk in fear. Even Melony became afraid as she saw what was happening. The Smg's compiled the energy into an attack form, ready to strike.

Smg3: YES!!!

In one last futile try, Mario pulled and shook Smg4.

Mario: Guys! That's going to kill Melony!!

Crystal was at her breaking point when she became confused as Melony stopped firing.

The energy fully consumed the Smg's, Mario being thrown back into the wall as the energy transformed into one giant bomb.

With a cry from the Smg's, they launched it.

Melony saw the blast incoming, scattering to the controls to try and avoid it. Crystal saw what was gonna happen at the last second and raised the shields to full with whatever power the ship had left.

And then...

(BOOM!)

The blast hit both crafts, sending Melony flying and destroying her ship.

The shields on the guardian ship shattered the second it was hit by the blast. Crystal's reaction followed as a quick sharp spiky pain rocketed through her skull, too painful to stay awake as her eyes rolled back and she collapsed to the ground.

The rest barely had time to react before the blast reached them, deafening them all with a high pitched wine...

As the whole void became a blank white...

In a lush field of grass and flowers, a figure could be seen humming and happily playing as he plucked flowers from the ground. The figure was a think blue stick person, with three fingers on each hand, a bandana, only one eye and a cap that displayed the number 0.

The figure heard a strange noise, looking up in time to see the guardian ship hurtling straight towards him. Screaming, he jumped out the way right before the ship hit the ground in an explosion.

Thrown from the crash, Mario, Smg4, Smg3 and Crystal were all lied on the ground unconscious. Crystal was the worst off, her ears and nose bleeding.

The figure looked in worry, knowing he had to help them. Carrying Crystal over his shoulder, he put the others in a wheelbarrow as he rolled them back to his tree-house.

On the other side of the field, Melony was falling headfirst and on fire into the landscape, crashing down just like the guardian ship did.

As Melony lied unconscious from the impact, she started to phase in and out of her deity form as her mind began to struggle...

Melony gasped for air as she awoke, a stack of wood behind her and burning as she looked around. All she could see was that she was in a circular room with a lot of doors.

Trying to find a way out, she opened one of the doors and was met with one of the strangest sights.

On a table, their was an entire family of watermelon's taking family roles such as the father, the mother and what seemed to be a bay girl as the melons suddenly turned in her direction.

Father Melon: Young Melony! Have you forgotten about your parents!?

Mother Melon: You never write, you never call!!

Baby Melon: Waahhh, Melony forgot about us!

Melony: What? I don't have parents...do I?

The melons became angry, throwing rocks at her.

Father Melon: Bad daughter!

Mother Melon: Not even a letter!

The baby melon suddenly grew arms and legs, running towards her with a knife. Startled, she ran away and opened another door.

She was met with a bunch of Axolotl dressed in business suits who turned to greet her before she slammed the door shut.

Running, she went past a mirror as she stopped to look into it, when the image of her distorted to something straight from hell.

Her image in the mirror reflected Zero, her eye and skin twisted and glitched as her head sported his round horns.

Eldrich Melony: Someone is a little sussy Baka Desu here-

Melony stumbled back in horror as the whole room warped around her.

She became surrounded by twisted, warped and broken versions of her friends. A malicious version of Tari grabbed her ankle as she looked at the mangled of Mario and Boopkins before trying to run away, but ran into Bob instead.

Those realistic, twisted and monstrous eyes would haunt her till the day she died...

Scared for her life, she ran down the long hall and didn't look back...

...

When she finally came to a stop, she was in some kind of castle hall as she took a minute to catch her breath.

Then as she looked up, she saw the back-fins of the man she never thought she would see again.

Melony: A-Axol?

Axol: You let me die...

Melony: No! I-I was trying to save you but...

Axol: (Turns head) But you didn't...

She was starting to cry by this point...

Melony: No...I...I've been trying to become stronger so-

Axol: YOU? STRONGER?!

Axol approached her with pure rage in his voice...

Axol: You can't even control your deity powers! You're weak...

Axol's body changed, becoming the monster he had become when taken by Zero as his giant red eye looked down at Melony...

Eldrich Axol: And your weakness killed me, just like it'll kill all your friends.

Melony: No! Please! I'm sorry! I'm sorry...

Zero grinned, staring down as he broke the only one that could rival him...

Crystal: Oh....where am I?

Crystal opened her eyes as she found herself in complete darkness...

Her eyes darted around, looking for some way to leave.

She tried using her holograms, but her head suddenly felt like it was splitting open as she screamed and fell back.

She cried, begging for help from anyone...

When a hand caressed her cheek.

???: It's okay my little Sunshine...

She stared up through teary eyes, seeing Meggy...

Crystal: Mommy...

Meggy faded into light as she tried to touch her, causing her to bolt up. It seemed her mind was playing tricks on her, cause before her was a lane of floating glass shards that weren't their before...

She approached the first piece of glass and touched it. Almost immediately, she heard a high pitched wail and she felt cold, like the jacket she was wearing didn't even matter...

Meggy: (Muffled) You're so precious. But what do I name you?

Crystal: M-mommy?

She heard her moms voice, then felt immediately warm as if she was being held by a pair of protective arms.

Meggy: My little Crystal...

She looked closer into the glass. Finally, she saw Meggy holding her the day she was born.

Crystal was shocked. Her Mom's former apartment was terrible and she looked absolutely exhausted...but...she was smiling.

Meggy: It's okay, Mommy's gonna be strong for both of us. I'll keep you safe forever. I promise...

Crystal smiled...

Her mom had changed a lot, but she only saw now the one thing that remained the same. Her mom loved her...and always would...

And nothing would ever change that...

As she began to tear up, the whole place became white as she began to slowly wake up...

In the strangers tree house, the 3 Mario lookalikes were sat down and passed out on the strangers couch.

Meanwhile, The stranger was making tea to help them when Smg4 began to stir, groaning as the granger turned in shock.

???: Oh gosh! You guys are finally awake!

Smg4: What...happened...?

Mario: Don't you remember? You both went coo coo crazy and blew us all up.

Smg4: Oh...that's right...

Mario: Wait! S-sir, there was a kid with us, a girl! Where is-!

Mario pushed himself up and immediately broke his back as he fell over.

???: It's okay, she's right here!

The man moved and lifted Crystal over to the table, causing Mario to pull himself up through the pain and check on her.

Mario: Kid, you okay?

She groaned as she opened her eyes. The white in her eyes was gone, replaced with blood red. Coupled with the dried blood around her ears, it was clear she'd had some kind of brain injury.

Crystal: Oh...hey uncle Mario...

Mario: Hehe, it's alright kid...

Crystal: I feel...awful...

Smg4: Oh kid, I'm so...so sorry. We kinda lost control back their...

Smg3: The power sure did feel good though...

Mario shot Smg3 an angry glare as he looked up at the stranger.

Mario: Wait...who the heck are you?

Smg0: (Salutes) Oh! My names Smg0! And welcome to humble little home!

Everyone's eyes went wide. Crystal tried to jump up, but just fell back and cried out in pain.

Smg4 and Smg3: SMG0?!!?

Smg0: Woah there guys! Try not to get too worked up, your bodies are healing!

Smg0 put an ice bag on the side of Smg4's head, relaxing him.

Smg4: You're not...the Smg0 we fought back home, are you?

Smg0: What?

Realisation struck Smg0 like lightning as his eye went wide.

Smg0: Oh no...

He fell on his hands and knees...

Smg0: He...I...we hurt you, didn't we? I'm so so sorry!

Smg4: (Sits up) Wait...slow down. What are you talking about?

Smg0 looked up frightened. It was about time he told these guys everything...

Zero grinned through Axol's teeth as he grabbed hold of Melony, chocking her before throwing her across the hall.

She dropped the drawing of her and Axol, going to pick it up when Zero grabbed it first.

Eldrich Axol: You're still holding onto him? Pathetic...

Zero held the photo...then ripped it in half. Splitting the two apart yet again, he dropped the photo before Melony's eyes.

Eldrich Axol: He's gone...and you're all alone.

Melony's eyes darkened as she looked at the floor, Zero's laughter blending with Axol's as he went to kick her...

But she grabbed the attack before it hit her.

Melony: You're wrong.

Zero became confused...

Melony: Axol's not gone...and I'm never alone.

She threw his foot away, making him stumble back.

Melony: Axol was my friend...he'll always be my friend!

The photo shook as it re-assembled itself, falling into Melony's hand as she looked down at it.

Melony: He told me I have the strength to do anything...so I'm going to stop you!!

Pointing at him, Zero was hit by a blast of invisible energy as his form began to glitch. He reverted between his forms of Niles and his giant eye.

Finally, zero was gone and Axol was in his place, smiling at Melony.

As the door ahead appeared, Melony smiled back and Axol faded away as she continued...

Melony walked into a more round room with a glass dome on the ceiling.

Looking around, at the centre of the roof, she saw a table with a very old computer that looked as if it was from the late 1970's.

Curiosity got the best of her as she clicked a button, making the screen come alive as a the word "Mage" cam on screen. It seemed to be an old game from the year 1982. Her confusion wasn't helped when the game had two stick figures, red and blue, shooting at each-other.

But as she looked closer, she could finally see the truth...

In the memory, Smg0 could be seen running around with another red stick figure like him, sporting an "F" on his cap.

Fred: Haha, I'm gonna getcha!

The two played by shooting energy at each-other, play fighting to pass the time.

Smg0: A long time ago...it used to be just me and Fred...my avatar and best buddy!

Smg0 was drinking tea and explaining the story to the others. Even Crystal was listening, though she was honestly forcing herself too through her pain as Mario tried to get her to drink some of the tea.

Smg0: And everything was perfect...until...

One of Fred's shots missed and hit one of their meme friends. It was a laughable moment...until it happened.

Suddenly, all their friends started to glitch out and scream, distorting until they had colourless skin and became what was now known as dead memes.

Smg0: Our friends were getting corrupted...and I didn't know why...

Before the day was up, The grounds were on fire and their corrupted friends were surrounding them, about to do who knows what...

Smg0: I thought that was it...when a miracle happened!

Before the dead memes could kill them, a guardian pod came crashing down and blew them back. Surprised by its appearance and against Fred's worries, Smg0 approached it.

The pod identified him as a meme guardian and allowed him on board, taking him to the great beyond and right towards...the god box.

Smg0: The god box summoned me...and I just prayed for things to go back to the way they were.

Praying before the box, the god box heeded his request and opened as it used its power. A blast hit the ground before Smg0's feet...

Smg0: And there, I met one of my closest friends...Niles.

Niles had been created by the god box to help Smg0 fix his world, greeting him with an awkward handshake.

He returned back with Smg0, where...

Smg0: Together, we made the internet graveyard and created the meme life cycle to cleanse all the corrupted memes! And everything was perfect again...

When all was done, Niles could watch in peace as Smg0 and Fred had fun...until...

Smg0: Except for him.

Niles head began to pound, feeling like he didn't belong. He looked his hand and all he saw was an abomination...

The noise wouldn't stop...so he went back to the god box...

Niles: There's something wrong with me! (Points) You made me, you need to fix me! How do I...gah...how do WE become perfect?

The box spoke to him in a low moan, a frequency language only Niles could understand.

Niles: Of course, it's so simple...But to do that, I'll need more power first...

Glowing, the box gave Niles just a taste of its extraordinary power as it zapped him with red lightning. He screamed before kneeling with a purple glow around him and laughed crazily.

Back on ground, Fred and Smg0 were just having fun like usual when something strange happened. A swirling purple and black vortex appeared in the sky, shooting lightning to strike innocent people.

Fred...was among the first victims...

With his death, Smg0 woke up to a world that was destabilising before his very eyes, coding falling apart and the floors aflame.

And at the centre, Fred was dead. His textures faded away until he was just an unrecognisable stick figure.

Smg0 was stunned into silence, when Niles appeared nearby. His eye glowed, looking lifeless.

Smg0: NILES! WHAT'S HAPPENING?! FRED, HE...HE'S...

Niles seemed to snap out of a trance, kneeling down in a panic.

Niles: Oh no no no! It's okay! It's okay!!! We can fix this...

In a twisted fashion with a smile on his face, he offered Smg0 a hand.

Niles: You just have to join me...

Smg0 looked up in fear, the god box looking down on all of them when Niles grabbed him from behind and caught him in a headlock.

Smg0: NILES, STOP!!! Whatever you've done, we can fix it together!!!

Niles: Oh, we are going to fix it! You and I are going to make the perfect universe...TOGETHER!

All Smg0 could do was look up to the sky, being zapped by the god Box's power as his screams blended in with Niles manic laughter...

And when the smoke cleared, a monster was born. With circular horns, a giant eye, sharp claws, glitched textures and sharp horns all over its purple skin as it roared to the sky...

And ZERO was born.

As the computer glitches out and shut down, Melony had just watched the same story and was very angry...

Melony: Niles...I'll never forgive you.

The shadow background faded and gave way to a giant gate.

Ready for whatever came next, Melony pushed onward...

Crystal coughed blood into a napkin as Mario looked sadly at her, Smg0 finishing his story.

Smg0: So yeah...next thing I remember after merging with Niles was..waking up back here. It's been peaceful! But...kind of lonely...

Smg4: So, when Melony defeated Eldritch Axol, he must've split back into this Smg0 and...

The gang all remembered back to Eldrich Axol's original defeat, the same day they lost Axol. Niles and Smg0 split apart into two different spirits, with Niles latching onto the grieving Melony.

Smg3: And this Niles guy latched onto Melony!

Smg4: (Gasp) Oh no...oh no oh no oh no!!!

Smg0: What? What is it?

Smg4: That's why Niles has come here! He's come back to merge with Smg0!

Mario's face turned to horror, same as Crystal's and especially Smg0's.

Smg0: Oh no...

Smg4: SMG0! GO AND FIND A PLACE TO HIDE! NOW!

But it was too late...

Deity Melony burst through the roof, Crystal's bloody eyes widening in sheer dread. Everyone stepped back, but Smg0 looked and saw only Niles as the two talked directly to each-other.

Niles: Hey Zero, how you been? Ready to get back together?

Smg0: N-Niles! You don't need to do this! Look! We've got our old universe back. Everything's perfect again!

Niles: Perfect!? You call this floating rock in the middle of cosmic nothing perfect?! No. We need to join back and finish what we started. WE need to get our full universe back...

Mario had enough, jumping and kicking Niles/Melony back into a wall.

Mario: Mario's not the smartest guy in the room. But after hurting his niece, Mario knows enough that your a selfish bastard that needs to let Melony go.

Melony rose back to her feet, laughing like crazy. Niles influence over her was too strong, but Mario wouldn't flinch.

Melony: Wait your turn Mario. I'm still gonna need an avatar after this.

Melony flew toward and punched Mario right into Smg3, kicking Smg4 to the side as she slowly approached the barley conscious Crystal.

Melony: I knew what you were the moment I saw you, a rotten glitch that wasn't meant to exist. It's about time I corrected that mistake...

She rose the sword above her head, ready to kill Crystal as she barely managed to speak through blood covered teeth.

Crystal: You...(Cough)...Will never win...

Before Melony could land the final strike, Smg4 leapt up and grabbed her waist to stop her.

Smg4: Leave her alone and give Melony back to us!

Melony simply tossed him down on the floor, defeated.

Melony: I think 4 Smg's is a bit much, don't you? Maybe let's cut it back a bit.

Sword at the ready, Melony was going to kill them as all anyone could do was watch.

Smg4: Niles...Melony, please...

Trapped within her mind, Melony approached the final steps in the hopes of freeing herself.

She walked up the stairs...and saw him.

Niles sat on a throne like a king, wearing the deity mask as a way of signalling his control over Melony as a puppet.

But no longer.

Melony grabbed the mask and pulled, putting all her strength into it as the room started the fade out.

Then with a cry of determination, she ripped the mask off Niles face...

Melony's sword trembled in her hand as Niles realised he was losing control. Dropping the sword, Melony's body shifted between her normal and deity forms as the screams of her and Niles intertwined.

The rest in the room could only watch in confusion in hope as Melony glowed white...then fell unconscious on the floor. The three lookalikes gathered around.

Smg4: Melony!

Then Melony faded back to her normal form. She opened her eyes, darting in confusion to everyone's relief.

Smg4: Ugh, thank god.

Mario: That's-a-so nice!

Melony sat up, looking at her hands. She was back in control...

But it wasn't over yet.

As she looked to the side, the three joined her look of a dropped jaw as they saw NILES in the flesh, holding a scared Smg0 in a headlock.

Niles: Fine Melony, take your stupid body back. I really only needed you to get back into the god box anyway.

Smg4: Is that Niles? I can see him now.

Smg0: You don't have to do this. We don't have to become a monster again.

Niles grip tightened as the god box began the process again, Smg0 screaming as his eye became a pure Red glow.

Melony re-entered her deity form as she tried to grab Niles in a futile attempt...

But was just knocked back-

(BOOM!)

As the entire Tree house exploded...

...

The smoke cleared...

And from the devastation...ZERO had returned.

As he roared to the sky, Smg4 and Smg3 got back up and stared in sheer horror at the full size of this monster.

Smg3: What do we do!? There aren't any memes here to use!

Smg4: Mario, you have any-

Smg4 turned around to ask what ideas he had...

But the sight he saw shook him to his core.

Mario kneeling on the ground, Crystal lying in front of him.

She was barely moving, burns all over her body mixing in with her bloody eyes. The blast had really done a number on her.

Smg4: Oh...oh god...

Mario growled, sending Angry glares shot up at Zero, laughing like an arrogant god.

Mario: You bastard! We'll stop you, you monster!"

Tears in his eyes, Mario threw a rock at Zero, but it bounced harmlessly off his head. He brought his fist down on them, Smg4 and Smg3 dodging the hit as Zero narrowly missed Mario and Crystal.

Smg4: There's nothing we can do! Run!!!

The three ran for it, Mario grabbing Crystal as she went limp.

Smg3: Leave her Mario!

Mario: Screw you, I'm not leaving her here!

They all tried to run, but Zero outstretched his giant hand and grabbed all of them in one grasp. He looked at them, opening his mouth.

Mario: Guys...Mario's glad to have known you all...

But as Zero opened his jaw...

(SHING!)

A sword slice went across his face, causing him to drop them all. As they hit the floor, They looked up and Saw Melony dropping down to them.

Mario continued to give a sad glance to Crystal, but Melony didn't flinch as she put a hand on her forehead.

A white glow of energy filled their eyes as a miracle happened...

With Melony's powers, everyone looked in awe as Crystal's broken body was fixed, the blood gone and her eyes opening like she'd just woken up.

Crystal: Mmm...was I dreaming?

Mario grabbed the girl in a tight hug.

Mario: Kid! Oh thank god, your mom would've killed me!

Smg3: And I hate to ruin the moment, but we might BE dead if we don't do something!

Melony nodded. Tilting her head in a "Get moving" gesture, the rest started moving away she she rose to the sky.

She stared down Zero, looking directly into his eye.

Melony: Niles. End this now, or I will end you.

ZERO: PATHETIC...

And so, the fight for the universe began.

The fight was intense, with both sides giving it everything they had. Zero shot a flurry of punches and even some fireballs, but Melony countered each blow. She landed shots of energy rings and got close to deal hits that stunned the monster.

From the ground, all the others could do was watch.

Smg4: Ahhh, I feel so useless!

Smg3: Well, at least you finally learned that before you died!

Crystal: Uncle Mario, look!

Mario: Wow, nice spotting Crystal! Look guys!

Smg4: It's our ship! Or...what's left of it.

Smg3: Cmon! Maybe we can fly it out of here!

They ran to the ship as Melony and Zero clashed in a blow that sent Melony flying into the ground. Seeing the others escaping, Zero grabbed a Boulder and threw it at them.

Thinking quick on his feet, Mario grabbed the Smg's and used his nose and a spring. Launching them up, they narrowly dodged the rock and with it, certain death.

Smg4: Good going Mario!

Smg3: Quick, Into the ship!!!

Mario kicked the ship back up the right way, all hopping in. Mario put Crystal down and got a blanket from her backpack and draping it over her. While healed, she was still very tired.

Mario: Stay here Crystal, I'll die before I let Meggy lose you.

They three of them started spamming the controls, trying to get it working.

Smg4: Come on, come on!!

Smg3: Please work, please work!!

Mario! WORK!!!!!

Crystal tried to used her powers to get the ship working, but it was too damaged for her to do anything. Mario's attempts to "fix" the ship just got him electrified.

Smg4: It's no use Mario! The ship's ruined!

Smg3 started to panic, but heard hammering as he saw his pet Ugandan knuckles working on the ship.

Smg3: Terrence! You came along...and you're fixing the ship???

He nodded, earning a rare hug from Smg3.

Smg3: Aw, I missed you too buddy!

Zero was gaining the upper hand, grabbing Melony and slamming her back down into the ground.

Smg4: Smg3! Now's not the time for a reunion, we've got to get off this floating Rock!

Terrence made a clicking noise, quickly running around the ship as he pounded the panels with various pieces of equipment. To everyone surprise, The engines sprung to life.

Smg4: It's...its working!

Smg3: Terrence my boy! I'm so proud of you!

Smg4: Alright, time to get the heck out of here!

Mario: Let's a goooo-

Screaming drew their attention as they all turned their heads. Melony let out a battle cry, diving down to Zero with her sword at the ready.

Smg4: Yeah, Melony!!!

Mario: Way to go!

Crystal: Cmon aunt Melony...

Melony swung as she reached Zero...but he dodged out the way...

And all she could do was look into his menacing red eye...

Before his teeth clamped around her.

The whole world stopped...as did everyone's hearts...

And then Zero swallowed.

Everyone on the ship and undeniable horror displayed on their faces.

Smg4: N...No...

Mario: MELONY!!!

Crystal: Aunt Melony!!!!!

Smg4's gazed darkened.

Zero laughed, before turning as he heard the ship taking off.

Smg3: He spotted us! I'm getting us out of here!!!

Smg3 took the initiative, smashing the big red button and setting the ship to fly out of their. Zero grinned, loving the thrill of the chase.

The ship left the dimension rift, Zero flying hot on their tail as his glaring eye got even closer. Crystal was curled against the wall crying and Mario was screaming in horror when the screen came back on with Smg1 and 2 on it.

Smg1: Guys! Finally, we thought you were goners!

Smg2: Are you all okay?!

Smg3: No, we're not okay! Smg0 killed Melony!!!

Smg2: What?!

Smg1: We're so sorry...b-but we need you guys to get out of their now! There's no way to close the box...so we have to blow up the whole thing instead!

Outside the box, Smg1 and 2 used their powers to gather as much meme energy as they could onto one giant bomb.

Smg2: So get out of their quick! You only have a few minutes before this bomb is at max potency!

Smg3: Okay Smg4, let's get out of here!....Smg4?

Smg4's gaze darkened...

Smg4: Destroy it all...

Mario cowered behind his terminal. Zero had really pissed Smg4 off...

And within the bowls of Zero's huge stomach, Melony lied...unconscious...

As Zero got within swinging distance, all 4 occupants of the ship had to work perfectly if they wanted any chance of survival.

Smg4 swerved the ship out of the way of Zero's swings, dodging and rolling and even flying right through his horns. Crystal was enraged, commanding whatever weapons the ship had left to fire on Zero.

It barley left a scratch, but it managed to slow him down. Zero threw an anti meme, causing Smg3 to make the ship do a backflip as Crystal shot it to pieces. Mario got a hit in by hitting Zero with his boomerang cap.

Annoyed and angry, Zero flew to one of the dimensions. He grabbed the foundation and roared like a beast.

Smg3: What the hell is he doing?!!!!

Zero used his vast strength and threw the dimension...right at the ship!

Smg3: QUICK, PULL UP!!!!

Smg4 panicked and pulled the lever...

But it was too late.

The dimension collided with the ship and destroyed it completely...as Zero's insidious laughter boomed across the void.

As they awoke, they were all left floating in the void and unable to move...

Mario: Wah! What happened?!

Smg3: Ugh...we're still alive?

Hope was shattered as a shadow came over Smg4.

Smg4: Not for long...

Zero looked over all of them, ants that could easily be crushed under his palm.

Smg4: Mario. Despite everything, you've been a great friend.

Mario: You...you too...

Crystal: You don't have to do this! I know you went through so much pain, but please-!

Zero roared at the girl, rendering her silent. Only now did she realise that Niles was beyond the point of redemption. All she could do was look at Mario solemnly.

Crystal: Uncle Mario, are...are we gonna-?

Mario just pulled the girl into a hug as they silently cried.

Zero rose his fist as everyone closed their eyes...ready for the end...

When Melony opened her eyes, she was shocked and confused. Where was she?

She was standing on some weird glass walkway. In front of her was a giant white vortex, when she turned around and saw a black void behind her. But when she turned back...

She saw him.

He didn't have his scar, but she knew it was him.

Melony: Axol?! Wait...is it actually you?

Her drawing suddenly flew from her pocket, right into Axol's hands as he looked at it with a smile.

Axol: Woah...Melony, did you draw this? You've gotten so good.

Melony: It is you!

She broke any kind of protective surface and ran up, hugging him tightly.

Melony: I've missed you so much! There's so much I've wanted to say since I-

She stumbled on her words, remembering what happened last time they spoke as she looked around.

Melony: Wait...where are we?

Axol: I think...you know where this is...

Melony could only think: Was she also-?

Axol: Oh, don't worry though, your not like me yet. At least...not yet. You can still choose to go back if you want.

Melony: But if I do...I'll lose you again...

Axol: Well...yeah. But if you do stay, you won't be able to help our friends. Like I said...it's your choice...

Melony teared up, knowing what she had to do but not if she had the strength to do it.

She stood their, the moment lasting an eternity before the drawing floated from Axol's hands and back into her's.

Melony: I'll see you around sometime Axol...

The pathway immediately started to pull her backwards, back to her body in the real world.

Axol: I'll be right here waiting for you Melony. (Waves) And bring me another drawing next time!

Melony nodded, feeling her heart start to beat again as she went back to her body.

One way or the other...she'd see Axol again. But now, she had a score to settle...

As Zero brought down his fist to end the 4 who had helped ruin his plans, he felt pain in his throat before Melony suddenly burst from his mouth.

Smg4: Melony, you're alive!

Mario: And you can do your super melon mode now!

Melony smiled at them all, turning back to Zero. Looking at her drawing, she took a deep breath as she gathered all her strength for what she had to do. She launched herself at Zero, getting knocked back and right into an approaching Anti Meme.

Smg3: Uh...looks like all this noise has attracted some visitors...

Melony looked up in fright. There were more Anti memes then she could fight on her own, especially if Zero decided to join in.

Smg3: Smg4! Let's transmute these Anti memes and destroy Zero once and for all!

Smg4: Are you crazy?! We nearly killed Crystal when we tried that last time!

Smg3: Oh cmon, think how strong we'd become. We need the power!

Mario: Uhh, guys? Do something quick!

Smg4: Kid, you got any ideas?!

Crystal: No, I just wanna go Home!

Seeing Melony about to be attacked, Smg4 kept trying to think.

Smg4: There has to be another way Smg3! We've got to look deep inside ourselves!

Smg3's face of anger turned to one of sorrow as he had an idea.

Smg3: You're right, the true power is right here.

Smg3 reached into his pocket, pulling out Terrence. They could turn him into meme energy to use...but he would die.

Smg3: Terrence...I'm sorry little buddy. We need you to save the world."

Terrence looked back at him, Smg3 trying not to cry.

Smg3: G-goodbye Terrence...

He released the meme, letting him float in the air as one look in his eyes simply said "I love you".

Smg3 cried, grabbing Smg4's hand as they started the process.

Terrence became meme energy as he swirled around Mario. He energised the plumber and transformed him into...!

A giant Mario head.

Smg4: Okay! This will do!"

Smg3: Terrence...

Hopping on the back of the giant Mario head with Crystal, all 4 rode into battle as Mario hopped off all the Anti memes and killed them.

With no more distractions, Melony charged her sword and slammed right past Zero, slicing his face as he felt himself becoming undone.

Within the broken mind of Zero, Smg0 woke up and found himself encased in rock formations with red tendrils attached to his body. To his surprise, some kind of outside trauma was freeing his body from its prison.

Melony continued to ram herself against Zero, landing strike after strike with no space for a counter strike.

As his arms finally freed themselves, Smg0 pulled himself out of his mind prison and started running. He didn't know why or where he was going, he just needed to get out of their.

Back outside the god box, Smg2 was unaware of the others peril and was yelling at a computer screen that would never come back on.

Smg1: Guys!?! Guys!! We...can't control this bomb anymore!!

Smg1: You've gotta get out of their!

Zero was almost beaten as Melony looked at him, while Smg3 started to panic.

Smg3: Cmon guys, let's go!

Mario turned around, flying out of their.

Crystal: Wait! Auntie Melony, come on!

Smg4: Melony, We have to go!!

Melony looked back at Zero, knowing her chance to end this was now or never. She charged her sword to full, her whole body glowing with yellow electric fire as her sword became a beam of light. She closed her eyes, focusing her mind...

Then she leapt up in a move that shocked even Zero, as she came back down and stabbed him...right in his giant eye!

Zero screamed as he suffered the worst pan he'd felt in his entire life.

Melony looked at this beast without pity...

Smg1: Guys...the bombs...dropping now!!!

Smg1 and 2 couldn't control the energy anymore, both passing out as the bomb dropped. It collided with the box, setting it into flames.

The others looked around in panic as the void around them started to fall apart, Zero's monstrous form falling back into the fire.

Lost in his head, Smg0 became confused and panicked as the entire area around her became glitchy.

When he could see straight again, he saw Niles. He was working desperately on the controls of the monster they had created, trying to get it back up and fighting, or just trying to take the others down with them.

Smg0: Niles! Please just let them go! Our time is over, don't drag them down with our failures.

Niles: I AM NOT A FAILURE!!!

Niles turned and smacked Smg0 to the floor.

Niles: WE ARE THE REAL MEME GUARDIANS! WE ARE SO CLOSE TO CREATING THE PERFECT UNIVERSE! The power of the god box...IS SUPPOSE TO BE OURS!!!!!

Niles had completely lost any sense of reason, willing to die even if their was just a chance he could kill the others as well.

Smg0: You're my friend Niles...but I can't let you do this...

Niles: I'll fix this, don't worry...just watch...(Punches controls)...JUST WATCH!

He turned around, his eye glowing red as he stared at Smg0...

Niles: YOU AND I WILL FIX IT ALL!!!

Mario zoomed in, grabbing Melony as she held on for dear life.

Smg3: Hold on tight!!!

Mario dodged blast after blast as the entire void was coming down around them. Finally...

Smg4: There's the Exit!!!

Making a beeline for the exit, Mario was knocked to the side by an explosion as he started to wobble.

Smg3: Ahhh, we're not gonna make it!

But Mario wasn't going to give up, pushing his speed to its limits.

The blazing inferno was filling them as they zoomed to the exit, just narrowly in reach...

Before a bloodied and broken Zero burst from the flames, hand outstretched to grab them and drag them to hell with him.

The painful seconds passed as it felt like years, the gang looking back as certain doom stared them in eyes.

Niles was ready to crush them, ready to end this on his terms...

Until Smg0 jumped in front of him.

Niles's bloodlust vanished from his eyes in surprise...

Outside, Zero froze as his two halved minds confronted each-other.

Niles began to cry. Even he knew by now that the jig was up...

Niles: This can't be the end...we were supposed to be together in our new universe...

Smg0 put a hand on his shoulder...

Smg0: We are together Niles...and that's enough.

Niles had tears in his eye, while Smg0 looked towards a faint but distant light...

Smg0: Come on buddy...let's go...I bet Fred's waiting for us...

Niles's look of sadness turned to a somber smile...as the two walked into the light together...

And the monster that was Zero fell back into the inferno, finally at peace...

The god box exploded as Mario burst out in a Knick of time, the others riding on his hat.

Smg4: Mario! Smg1 and 2!

Agreeing, Mario swerved by the pair's ship and grabbed them both as their guardian ship was left to float in the vacuum of space...

And they escaped just in time, right as the god box glowed with light glowed with universal energy and finally exploded...

At last, it was over...

While this was happening, the others were still busy getting people int9 the safety bunker as meteors continued to rain down. Bob threw the last Goomba child in as Meggy and Tari continued to check with all the search parties.

Meggy: You still haven't found her?!

Luigi: We've been looking Meggy, we really have!!

Meggy: Well, keep looking! Search the mountains if you have too!

Saiko: Uh, guys? (Points to sky) Look!

Curious, Desti looked up to the sky. The red clouds suddenly faded and the meteor's that had and were falling just...disappeared. Desti knew that could only mean one thing...

Desti: Well, I'll be damned...Those whacko's actually did it!

A light in the sky drew Saiko's attention, narrowing her eyes as she stared even harder.

To her surprise, she saw a giant Mario head coming her way at supersonic speeds, giving he just enough warning to dodge as she jumped out of the way. They hit the ground in a big crash...

In the fiery aftermath, Mario turned back to normal as he lied exhausted on the ground. Around him were Melony, Crystal and all 4 Smg's as they were almost equally tired.

Crystal sat back up, rubbing her head...

Crystal: Ugh...where am I?

She was immediately crushed by two pairs of super strong arms.

Meggy and Tari: Crystal!!

Tari: Oh my god, your okay!

Meggy: Do you have any idea How worried I was?!

Crystal: Mommy? Momma?

Meggy: We're so happy your okay!

Tari: I thought you would never come back!

She hugged them back, quickly followed by Meggy shaking her shoulders and looking at her with a mix of fear and anger.

Meggy: Do you have any idea how grounded you are?! No tv for a month and your not leaving home until your older then-!

Meggy's parent rant was cut of as she saw Crystal sniffling...

Meggy: Sunshine? What's wrong? (Strokes face) Are these...burns on your face?

It was when Meggy noticed some scars and scratches from burn residue that She just jumped up and held her mom tighter, following by Meggy shooting  a wondering glance at Mario...

Mario: I'll fill you in later...

Mario passed out a second later...

For now though, they had won...and everything was gonna be okay...

(A few days later...)

People were beginning to rebuild in the aftermath of the god box...

With Omnia academy undergoing repairs, Melony stood before a huge crowd as she and the rest of the power club were graduating.

Looking out, she saw most of her friends and all her classmates looking up at her, clearing her throat as she began her speech. Crystal looked batter then ever, her burns and scars healed after a day or 2 in Egad's latest Bacta tank invention.

Melony: We've been through a lot together this year, and grown a whole lot. Sure, we've all made some mistakes...

Swag and Chris were commanding the remains of the box club with a tank to clean up their mess.

Melony: But we always pick ourselves up and continue on...

Saiko helped Boopkins in fixing a wall while Bob gave them more materials. Desti got back to talking with her old teammates and even shared a few laughs.

Melony: With our dreams...

Meggy hugged her parents in relief for their safety, Tari and Crystal looking with smiles.

Melony: Or helping others...

Smg1 and 2 continued their teaching jobs with Shroomy as their new student.

Melony: Or just doing whatever makes us happy!

Mario lounged out eating spaghetti while Luigi sat on the grass and read the latest men's magazine.

Melony: And even when it seems it's the end...

Smg4 smiled as he sent Morshu back off to the internet graveyard.

Melony: Nothing is ever really gone...

Smg3 stood with killer ink as he gave Terrence a funeral. The leader put a hand on his shoulder, where he suddenly gave her a hug. Very reluctantly, she hugged him back.

Melony: As long as we keep each other's spirits alive. So remember that even though we're graduating, that no matter what happens or how far apart we are...

To finish her speech, she flipped to the drawing of her and Axol, a warm smile on her face.

Melony: We'll always have each-other.

The whole crowd cheered...

...

In the aftermath, Luigi, Tari, Boopkins and Crystal were all giving the girl a big hug.

Everyone: Congratulations on graduating Melony!

Meggy: You finished your course so fast! I gotta catch up to ya!

Saiko: Yeah, I could think of a few advantages to having a god for a friend, especially one with a sword.

Bob: Come on, collage is over! Let's go on spring break and go party with some girls!

Smg4: Or maybe we could just...go and nap...for a very long time...

Smg3: I'll get us a lift.

Smg4 and Smg3 joined hands as they used their powers and glowed. Mario once again insulted them, making them hit him with the energy.

They turned the energy into an Omnia academy bus, everyone piling in...

But Melony was the last to board, looking to the sky smiling...

Melony: Wait for me there Axol. I still have lots of things to do down here.

And as she boarded the bus and it took off, the future was bright as it held so much more in store...

And this was only the beginning...
