Ch.08: The help of a genius

The last day of the internship was surely markable. As Mandla said, the weekends are the best to hunt villains, mostly because it seems like all of them get out of their hiding places.

However, in general, all days were unforgettable to both Sisipho and Katsuki. The bond they have got stronger, also with the pro hero Amazon. Bakugou will always remember how she treated him well, was firm, and taught him a lot about life and everything else. He loved all days and is sad that it'll end.

Katsuki feels like he matured in this single week, more than ever. Being around people so different and with other manners was a whole experience. It was like traveling out of the country, mostly because of the new dishes he tried, all recipes from Wakanda.

When he arrived home, his parents were surprised by the calm over him, intrigued about what truly happened during his internship. However, Katsuki is only accomplished. He had a great internship, learned new skills, perfected others, and...

"Stupid witch..." and now the smiling boy is even more close to his new friend, Sisipho.

The first day of classes back at Yuei was a terrible fuss. The quiet conversation Katsuki and Sisipho were having got interrupted by the others in the room talking about the hero killer, who attacked Todoroki, Midoriya, and Tenya. The comments about their improvement being greater only due to this matter made Katsuki upset.

And Sisipho noticed again his distaste towards the green-haired boy.

Their first class is with All Might and will be part of their Hero Basic Training Class, a rescue training race through Field Gamma. Sisipho and Katsuki smiled at each other seeing the place. For sure Mandla's training will be useful right away.

However, Sisi noticed again the drastic change of demeanor of the blonde when Midoriya started to run. She's getting more curious about this drama.

"Impressive how he isn't breaking his bones now, huh?" she tried to bring the subject to see his reaction.

"This changes nothing about this fucking nerd. He still a loser." he groaned.

"Why do you hate him so much? I remember that you almost killed him in our first Hero Basics class."

"Not your fucking problem, Chocogirl. Got it?" his seriousness made her only nod and walk away to her cousin. Katsuki sighed even more annoyed. "Fuck..."

He didn't want to be this rude to her, not to Sisipho, but Midoriya is a subject that just pisses him on another level. Katsuki still feels like the boy played with him, lying all those years about being quirkless to now just have one and try to challenge him.

Because of this little disagreement, both teens ended the day without talking again. Katsuki was too proud to say sorry, and Sisipho was too embarrassed for being intrusive about a personal matter.

It was announced by Mr. Aizawa, the next day, that the summer break is coming and the class you'll go to a Forest Lodge. Sisipho loved to hear this, this is her favorite area to be.

However, only those who pass on the end-of-term test will be able to go, who fail will be stuck in remedial school.

Automatically the squad faced Sisipho with hopeful eyes. Except for Bakugou, all of them are pleading for the genius' help.

"OKAY, I WILL HELP! By the gods, y'all are so loud!" she complained, pulling her blindfold down to her eyes. "You guys can just go to my apartment this week and I help."

"YAAY~! My Bonbon is the best!" Mina gave her a bear hug, kissing her cheeks nonstop. The black girl just laughed.

"Are you coming too, Bakubro?" Kirishima eyed the quiet blonde.

"For what? I don't need to study, my grades are perfect!"

"Just to chill with us, man." Denki said.

"I can chill at home."

"But isn't BakuSquad without you, Bakugou!" Mina whined, making him even more annoyed. Katsuki's eyes fell on Sisi, who was only listening and said nothing.

This is getting him more stressed.

When lunchtime came, everyone walked to take their meals. However, Katsuki waited for Sisipho outside the classroom.

"W-What?!" she asked confused when the boy just grabbed her pulse and took both of them to an empty hallway. "What..."

Katsuki's fingers cautiously moved her blindfold up to her brow. He's slightly inclined forward so their eyes can be at the same level. The duo is all flushed and with pounding hearts, but with serious expressions. The boy was the first to break the silence.

"Sorry. I don't like to talk about my past with deku." he said bluntly and direct.

"Oh... I get it. Sorry too, for being noisy about it. I just got curious... You always change abruptly when he's the subject."

"Because I fucking hate him."

"Yeah, I can tell, hehe..." she smiled weakly.

"So now stop avoiding me, it's fucking annoying!"

Before she could say anything more, he gently pulled her blindfold down and hold her hand so both can get to their places.

"What took you guys so- Uhhh~" Denki's change of tone made all table look at them. "Holding hands already~!"

"Hey! You need my blessing first!" Eijirou complained.

"Fucking annoying... I'M JUST DRAGGING THIS SLOW ASS! Otherwise, we would arrive here only tomorrow!" Katsuki rolled eyes, sitting down and opening his lunch.

"Geez, what kind of fanfic are you guys reading? Just by holding hands, two people are automatically dating?" even Sisipho snorted at their reaction. "And what do you mean by blessing, Kiri? Are you my dad now?"

The squad laughed at the duo discussing their difference of age, that's only a few days. Mina only watched everything with suspicious eyes. Not to her cousin, because this one is easy to read, like an open book.

Her eyes are on Bakugou, who's narrowing eyes at Kirishima and Sisipho's proximity, cheeks pink and a deep scowl. Mina is sure that he's jealous and that's not the first time she notices. But this is something she'll tease him about on another day...

BakuSquad has reunited again, now in Ashido's apartment. The place is huge and spacious, something they all can tell that's an exigence to any house this family owns.

In the living room, Sisipho let everything ready for them. As she rather studies comfortably than on a table, the center of the room is full of pillows and some blankets. On the coffee table a lot of sweets and drinks.

"Wow~! This is amazing!" Sero told, looking around in awe. He was the first to choose a place to seat, and soon all of them sat around the big center, eating the sweets.

"Why so many?" Denki asked.

"To give us the energy to focus and memorize everything."

"Didn't know this is a thing."

"It's a Bonbon thing! We don't call her like this only because she looks like a bonbon, but due to this girl right here has a sweet tooth!" Mina explained, pitching her cheeks.

"Too bad Bakubro didn't come..." Eijirou mentioned sadly.

Soon they all started to study. Sisipho gave her best to teach them and explain all their questions, selecting some lessons for them to focus on.

"Intomba, I'm going out to solve a mission, need anything?" the boys' eyes got wide seeing Sisi's mom again, their faces reddening because of the costume showing off all her muscles. "Oh, your friends arrive!"

"AUNTIE!" Mina and Eijirou got up to hug her tightly, both are very dear to her, the inverse being true.

"My gods, you two are just so cute~!" she hugged them tightly. "And you two, welcome again! That training before that festival was so quick, we didn't have time to meet each other better. Please remind me of the names again."

"D-D-Denki Kaminari!" he stood up and bowed at her. "I'm a b-big fan, Mrs. Amazon!"

"Hanta Sero! A-Also a big fan!" he did the same as the blonde did.

"Nothing of fans inside this house. If you two are friends with my intomba, you're my friends too. We're family now, so just call me Mandla!"

The boys melted at her words and also ran to hug her, making the others laugh hard. Soon Mandla said her goodbyes and got to her mission.

"Your mom is so cool!" Denki is fanboying nonstop.

"Why she calls you that name?" Sero asks.

"Intomba means daughter in her language. I also call her umama, that's mom, and my dad is utata."

"It must be so cool to live in a house with two different languages! Are you fluent in her language too? What it is?"

"It's called isiXhosa and I'm fluent indeed, I need to because once a year we go visit our family back in Africa."

"Will you tell us where in Africa exactly now? Huh?" Denki plead.

"Only if you guys pass the exam and have good grades."

"SO BE IT!" with that the focus got back to the lessons.

Sisipho is studying meanwhile, stopping here and there to help them. When the doorbell rang, the girl got confused, but soon knew who is it. Excusing herself, she walked out of the living room to open the front door, where an ash-blonde boy is waiting.

"Oh? Are you lost, sir?" she teased him.

"Shut up. I have nothing bett-"

"Yeah, yeah~ we're a waste of your time, you have more important things to do, we all are a fucking shit and blablabla. Just come in already and lock the door."

Sisipho already knows all of his quotes and excuses, so she doesn't even try to listen anymore.

"Fucking rude?!" he complained, watching her walk away, his eyes running down her body. "Annoying goddess..."

Swearing under his breath, he followed her to the living room, where all the others made a fuss at seeing him.

"Sorry guys, I needed to call for backup to deal with your stupidity." she smiled innocently at them, receiving pillows on her face in response. "HEY!"

"Bakugou, you lost it! We saw Bonbon's mother again! She's so cool!" Sero told him.

"Yes! She even hugged us this time!!" Denki added enthusiastically.

"Uhm... Guys, Katsuki did his internship with my mom and me back at the cabin forest." Mina and Kirishima, who already knew, are wheezing with their reaction.

"WHAT?!" Sero is speechless.

"YOU SPENT A WHOLE WEEK WITH TWO GODDESSES AND SAID NOTHING?" Denki is in tears now. "Life is so unfair, I wasn't chosen by the gods!"

"DIDN'T YOU HAVE TO STUDY? SHUT UP ALREADY!" Bakugou's command was immediately obeyed.

"Hey, you two too, or else we'll be away from each other the whole summer break!" Sisi's words made Mina and Kiri focus too.

Katsuki sat on the couch a bit away from them and the black girl followed him. She's again using a gown, a red one this time and he loves how those intense colors fit so well with her.

'Those damn thighs...' he sighed, remembering about the time he touched it while carrying her back to the cabin.

"You really don't need help with anything, Kat?" she asked low to him, sitting with her legs up to her torso, leaning close to him.

"No, I'm good. Just need to go over some topics to keep fresh on my mind." he said showing his notebook.

"Yeah, me too. But by helping them I'm almost memorizing the whole book." she chuckled, focusing on her reading again, the blonde doing the same.

He noticed while they were studying that she just has this tic she does when concentrated where she grabs a curl between her fingers and keeps rolling it around nonstop.

"You're distracting me..." his whisper next to her ear sent shivers around her body, impossible for him not to see and smirk at the reaction. "Stop."

"It's involuntary. Stop you from looking at me."

"I can't." her eyes widen. Turning to face his red orbs, both breaths got stuck in their throats due to their noses almost touching.

"Try harder." she said narrowing her eyes at him.

"I can't." he briefly looked down at her lips, biting his inner cheeks hard to stop himself from moving forward when she used her tongue to moisturize them. "Stop!"

"I'm doing nothing..." Sisi is trying to read him, but now Katsuki is making her brain so confused.

"Yes you are, witch." taking a deep breath, Katsuki turned his face back to the book, the tension thick around them. It's becoming harder and harder to keep himself away from her.

For the first time, Sisipho felt this strong pull to kiss someone. It's so odd, but not at the same time. 'Maybe because it's Katsuki? I like him so it must be normal.' she thought, deciding to talk about it later with her mother.

The studying kept going until the end of the day when Amazon came back with some takeouts for the dinner. When everyone was full and happy, also very well-studied, the squad dispersed to their own homes.

The last one is Katsuki.

The boy just stayed until everyone got away. So when Mina and Kirishima said their goodbyes, he decided it was time to leave. Katsuki bid farewell to Mandla and Orion, being led to the front door by Sisipho.

"Thanks for coming, Kat! It was cool to have you here." Sisi smiled at him. The boy stopped in the outside hallway and faced the girl by the door. "What?"

"Nothing. Night." he said bluntly and motioned that he would leave.

However, at the last minute, Katsuki decided to do something.

Holding the black girl's chin gently between his index and thumb fingers, he kept her face in place so he could give a kiss on her cheek.

Katsuki's lips touched the soft skin and he felt like fireworks are exploding inside his stomach. Moving away slowly, he could see the shine in her eyes because of what he did. He smiled a bit seeing her beautiful color changing around her cheeks.

When he stepped back to walk away, it was Sisipho's turn to secure him in place. Grabbing his shoulders firmly, she got on her tiptoes and returned the kiss on his cheeks.

Katsuki is shocked by her quick and bold act, feeling his body getting red in embracement. Her lips just feels so good, but sadly she moved away.

"Night, Katsuki~!" she giggled, waving at him and running inside, trying to hide her happiness. He chuckled at her adorableness and walked to the lift, so he can finally go home.

But his mind will be stuck in this hallway for ages, inside her shining eyes.
