00:17, 1 January 2025☆Elphaba's POV☆After a massive celebration and a grande party, Fiyero and I sat Glinda down.
"Glinda," I stated. "I have something to tell you."
"So do I." Glinda stated. Fiyero and I looked at each other, then back at Glinda.
"You first." I stated. Glinda handed me the green elixir bottle that used to be my mother's.
"I found out the Wizard is actually your father." Glinda stated. "I am so sorry, I should have told you sooner, but you are technically the rightful ruler of Oz." I shook my head.
"No," I stated. "I am not. That's what I need to talk to you about... Fiyero and I don't want to raise our babies in Oz. They're safer if we raise them outside of Oz."
"Why do you want to leave?" Glinda asked.
"Because we aren't safe here." Fiyero stated. "Even with your pardon, we are more likely to get kidnapped and killed as long as the twins are in Oz."
"Think of Liir and Orla." I stated. "Don't you want the babies safe?" I took Glinda's hand and placed it on my bump. Glinda sighed.
"Do Ione and I get to visit anytime we want?" Glinda asked.
"As long as you tell us first." I stated. Glinda moved her hands away from my bump.
"Then it's settled." Glinda stated. "You two may go home and raise the twins in that cottage. I just wanted you and your family closer to Ione and I. After all, you did call us your family."
"Well," I stated. "You two still are our family. It's just that after the Nome King kidnapped my husband, we just don't feel safe in Oz."
"Plus," Fiyero stated. "We love living in that cottage. The babies can go and play out in the garden without us worrying about them. We literally have a play section of the garden at the cottage."
"You two garden?" Glinda asked.
"I don't." I stated. "Fiyero does and the garden looks amazing."
"Hold up," Glinda asked. "Fiyero Tigelaar, Mr. 'Dances through life,' the king of corruption..... Gardens?"
"You wanted the macho, brainless prince." Fiyero stated. "Not the sympathetic gardener who has a massive heart for all living creatures."
"I learn something new about you every day." Glinda stated. I yawned. Fiyero kissed my forehead and hugged me tightly.
"Long day?" Fiyero asked.
"Yes." I replied. "I need to go to sleep." Fiyero looked at Glinda.
"You're both dismissed." Glinda stated.
"Goodnight Glinda." I stated.
"Goodnight Elphie." Glinda stated. "Goodnight Fiyero."
"Goodnight Glinda." Fiyero stated. We both made our way to the bedroom.
In the bedroom, I laid down and cuddled up in the blankets. Fiyero crawled in and cuddled up next to me.
"Any day now." I stated. "Any day, we are going to be parents."
"It only felt like yesterday when you sent me that letter." Fiyero stated. "I was wondering what you wanted to tell me in person."
"And when I told you," I stated. "You smothered me in so much love."
"What can I say," Fiyero stated. "We made a couple of babies." Fiyero kissed me.
"Good night Yero." I stated.
"Good night Fae." Fiyero stated. We both fell asleep.
☆Fiyero's POV☆The next morning, we began making our way home. Elphaba brought her broom and hat along. I couldn't help but look at her.
"The Wicked Witch is carrying my babies." I stated.
"I'm no longer the Wicked Witch." Elphaba stated. "Not in that term anyway." I kissed Elphaba's hand and smiled at her.
"Well," I stated. "At least nobody will be able to harm the babies from where we live. We may not be able to keep them safe forever, but at least we can keep them as safe as possible as they're growing up."
"I agree." Elphaba stated. "I can't wait to meet them. Any day now, they will be in our arms." I smiled at the thought of my babies being in my arms. I pulled over just so I could kiss Elphaba's bump.
"I love you two so much." I stated. "Daddy can't wait to see you guys so he can hold you." Elphaba kissed me and smiled.
"Come on," Elphaba stated. "Let's go home."
"Home..." Chistery stated. I forgot he was in the back. We continued making our way home. Elphaba began singing.
"Where the North wind," Elphaba sang. "Meets the sea, there's a river full of memory. Sleep, my darling, safe and sound for in this river, all is found. In her waters, deep and true lie the answers and a path for you. Dive down deep into her sound, but not too far or you'll be drowned."
"Why do lullabies always have to have some terrible warning in them?" I questioned.
"I wonder that all the time." Elphaba stated. We finally made it back to the cottage. We all got out. I took Elphaba's hand and lead her inside.
"Welcome home, Fae." I stated.
"Welcome home, Yero." Elphaba stated. I picked Elphaba up bridal style and carried her into the cottage.
"Where to my dear?" I asked.
"To the bedroom," Elphaba stated. "I need a nap." I carried Elphaba to the bedroom and laid her down. I laid down next to Elphaba and cuddled up next to her.
"Any day now." I stated.
"I know." Elphaba stated. "It's crazy. We're going to be, as Glinda puts it, a 'Momsie and Popsicle.'" I chuckled.
"Our kids are not calling us 'Momsie and Popsicle.'" I stated. "It just sounds so.... Glinda."
"I know." Elphaba stated. I kissed Elphaba's bump and rubbed it. Elphaba began playing with my hair. There's something soothing about Elphaba playing with my hair.
"You two are going to be safe." I stated. "I promise. Nothing bad will ever happen to you two as long as you're with us. Mommy and I love you two." Elphaba kissed me the top of my head and played with my hair. I kissed Elphaba and pushed her hair back.
"I love you." Elphaba stated.
"I love you too." I stated.
