00:17, 1 January 2025☆Fiyero's POV☆Two weeks after we returned home, I was out in the garden, tending to the poppies, when I heard Elphaba shriek. I quickly ran into the house to see Elphaba heavily breathing.
"It's time!" Elphaba shouted.
"Now?!" I exclaimed.
"The babies are coming!" Elphaba exclaimed. "Get Dr. Pichler!" Chistery flew off as quickly as he could. Elphaba was breathing heavily, trying to remain calm. Remembering what I read, I sat Elphaba down and began coaching her through her breathing.
"Okay," I stated. "Deep breaths, Fae. Deep breaths." I had Elphaba imitate my breathing. I can see the look of fear in her eyes.
"This is extremely painful." Elphaba stated.
"It's going to be okay." I stated. "Just breathe. Okay?.... We're going to be parents soon."
"How are you not freaking out?!" Elphaba shouted.
"I'm not the one in intense pain." I stated. "Trust me, I am crying like a bitch on the inside." I continued to attempt to calm her down.
"Where is the doctor?" Elphaba asked.
"I don't know." I replied. "Just take a deep breath, okay?"
"Okay..." Elphaba stated. I rubbed my wife's back and continued to coach her through her breathing.
Where is that doctor? I thought.
"Check to see if I need to push yet?" Elphaba asked. I took a look to see a head.
"It's coming!" I shouted.
"Now?!" Elphaba shouted.
"The baby's coming!" I shouted. Elphaba began pushing.
"And how?" Elphaba asked in between pushes.
"I see a nose," I stated. "I see a curl."
"That's a good sign." Elphaba stated. Elphaba finished pushing the first baby out. I grabbed my son and cut the cord with my cutters. I cleaned Liir off, only to see he had green skin like Elphaba. He also had my hair and eyes. I immediately gushed.
"Well," I stated. "It's a healthy, perfect, lovely, little boy." I handed him to Elphaba. Elphaba looked at him in shock.
"Liir's green." Elphaba stated.
"Now to get Orla." I stated as I took Liir and wrapped him up. I laid him in his bassinet and went to tend to Elphaba.
"Just one more." Elphaba whispered. I dried the sweat off of Elphaba.
"You're doing great." I stated. I kissed the top of Elphaba's head. I checked to see if Elphaba had to push again.
"Do I have to push again?" Elphaba asked.
"Not yet." I stated. "Though I wonder what is taking Dr. Pichler so long." I went back to cleaning the sweat off of Elphaba.
"Oh Oz," Elphaba stated. "This is more painful than being splashed by water." I kissed Elphaba's hand.
"It's okay," I stated. "You're doing great. Orla is just taking her sweet time." I checked to see if Orla was going to make her entrance into the world yet. That was when Dr. Pichler entered.
"I am so sorry," Dr. Pichler stated. "I couldn't get out of town fast enough. There is a celebration going on in town."
"Well," I stated. "I already had to deliver one baby." Dr. Pichler checked on Elphaba before looking at Liir.
"Feed him." Dr. Pichler stated. "I'll deal with Mrs. Tigelaar." I went to feed Liir as Elphaba went to push our daughter out. After Orla began crying. Elphaba passed out.
☆Elphaba's POV☆After pushing Orla, I fell asleep from the exhaustion. I woke up to see Fiyero holding one twin in each arm.
"Yero?" I asked. "How long was I out?"
"About a couple hours." Fiyero replied. "Don't worry, the babies have been fed and cleaned." Fiyero handed the twins over to me. I took a good look at them. Liir had green skin, though it wasn't as bright green as mine. It was more of a soft green. Orla, on the other hand, had Fiyero's skin tone. Orla opened her eyes, which were green like mine. I began to cry.
"Fiyero," I cried. "They're beautiful." Fiyero carefully wiped my tears.
"They're here Fae." Fiyero stated. "They're finally here. We went from a family of two to a family of four." I kissed the babies heads.
"I love you two so much." I stated. "You two are so beautiful." I kissed Fiyero and smiled.
"I wish this moment can last forever." Fiyero stated. Chistery came galloping into the room. Glinda came following behind him.
"I'm here," Glinda stated. "I left Ione at home because I didn't want to overwhelm you and - Oh my Oz! They're adorable!"
"Easy Glinda," I stated. "I know they're adorable. They're my babies.... Do you want to hold one?"
"Are emeralds green?" Glinda asked. Glinda picked Liir up and held him.
"That's Liir." Fiyero stated. "Turns out Elphaba and I had the same name picked out for a boy."
"He definitely looks like Elphaba." Glinda stated. "Except the eyes are Fiyero and the skin isn't as bright green."
"Regardless of the skin," Fiyero stated. "He is my son and I love him to death. Considering he and his sister were both made with love, I love both my babies unconditionally." I handed Orla to Fiyero.
"I can't believe they're here." I mumbled.
"Neither can I." Fiyero stated.
"Can I hold the girl now?" Glinda asked. Fiyero traded babies with Glinda.
"I'm in so much pain." I mumbled.
"The doctor said that's common." Fiyero stated. "You should be good in a few months."
"Don't worry," Glinda stated. "I am sending extra help over. She's going to cook and clean while you and Fiyero focus on the babies."
"She does not touch my garden." Fiyero stated.
"I already told her that." Glinda stated.
"Thanks Glinda," I stated. "These past nine months have been exhausting."
"I get it." Glinda stated. "That did not look like an easy pregnancy."
"Do you think my magic will come back?" I asked. Fiyero kissed the top of my head.
"Well," Fiyero stated. "I think your magic will come back ten times stronger." Liir sneezed, causing a book to fly off the shelf and break a window. The three of us were in shock.
"Okay," I stated. "Looks like we need to teach Liir and possibly Orla how to control their magic."
"Agreed." Glinda and Fiyero stated at the same time.
A/N: Hey everyone. I just want to thank you for reading this story. Now, question. Do you want a sequel focusing on the kids or a completely new story? I am finding the world of Wicked and Oz fun to play around with.
Let me know.
