"𝐘ou're actually here!" she exclaimed, pulling back slightly to look at him. "I thought I'd never see you again."
"Of course." Cheong-san replied softly, a gentle smile playing on his lips. "I told you it was a promise." They both took a step back, their eyes locking for a moment before Cheong-san's gaze drifted to the wound on Na-hee's head where blood had dried from the zombie attack earlier.
His expression shifted to concern as he gently touched the injury, causing Na-hee to wince and let out a small "ow."
"Oh, sorry! Are you okay?" Cheong-san asked, his voice laced with worry. Na-hee nodded, trying to brush off the pain. "Yeah, but it hurts like hell, which is why I have this severe headache right now." she joked, unaware that her words carried a deeper truth.
Cheong-san couldn't help but smile at her attempt to lighten the mood. Just then, a familiar voice broke through the tension.
"Holy shit!" Dae-su exclaimed, his voice cracking as he rushed towards Cheong-san. "Cheong-san!"
Gyeong-su quickly joined them, placing a hand on Cheong-san's shoulder. "You're alive!" he breathed, relief washing over his face. "I thought you were gone for good."
"What does that mean bro?" Cheong-san replied, his voice steady but filled with emotion.
"Glad to have you back, man." Dae-su said, swiping away a tear that had escaped his eye. Hyo-ryung glanced at Dae-su awkwardly, her expression a mix of concern and disbelief.
"I told you." Na-hee interjected, her voice firm. "I trust Lee Cheong-san."
"Sorry to break this heartwarming moment." Min-ji chimed in, her tone serious. "But we need to get out of here. Now."
There was a moment of silence but Na-hee was the first one to break it, seeing the urgency of the situation.
"Alright, let's move!" Na-hee urged, her eyes scanning the surroundings. The group quickly gathered their bearings and set off towards the street leading to the safe zone. Their footsteps quickened, each step fueled by the fear that zombies could emerge at any moment.
The faster they moved, the less they worried.
Dae-su was supported by Su-hyeok and Wu-jin, who carefully guided him as they ran with the group. "Go, go, go!" Na-hee encouraged, her voice filled with urgency as she assisted Hyo-ryung and others.
She kept a close eye on everyone, ensuring that no one was left behind.
Hyo-ryung and Na-hee found themselves at the end of the group, but Na-hee didn't mind. If someone or something were to ambush them, having Su-hyeok at the front and herself at the back would keep the group safe.
"Shit, this really hurts." Na-hee muttered as she patted her head, her pace slowing slightly.
"Are you okay, Na-hee?" Hyo-ryung turned to her, concern evident in her voice.
Na-hee forced a smile, nodding. "Yes, thanks, Hyo-ryung. Don't let me slow you down." she replied, trying to sound reassuring.
"Okay, just let me know if you feel anything unusual. I'll try to help." Hyo-ryung said, jogging ahead of Na-hee.
Jeez, this injury was really bothering her. She hoped it wouldn't turn her into a zombie or something.
As Na-hee jogged faster, she rolled her eyes, trying to shake off the pain. Suddenly, she spotted a figure lurking in the shadows, seemingly following the group. Her heart skipped a beat.
"Holy crap." she whispered, her voice barely audible over the sound of their hurried footsteps.
"We're not alone."
Just then, the world around her began to shift. The street they were running on started to blur, the sounds of the city fading into a low hum. Na-hee stumbled, her vision swimming as the reality around her seemed to warp and twist.
Na-hee blinked, her vision flickering as she found herself in a room- no, a world, completely in blinding white. The brightness burned her eyes, forcing her to squint and shield them with her hands.
Slowly, her eyes adjusted, and the overwhelming whiteness began to fade, revealing nothing but an endless expanse of pure white.
"Holy..." Na-hee closed her mouth in shock, her voice barely a whisper.
She called out, "Hello? Hyo-ryung? Cheong-san?" Her voice echoed in the emptiness, but there was no response.
She looked around frantically, her heart pounding in her chest. It was just her and this white world, stretching out in every direction.
"This isn't real... this isn't real.." she pleaded desperately, her voice cracking. She felt a surge of panic as she realized she was completely alone, trapped in this surreal landscape.
Na-hee turned and ran, her feet pounding against the white surface. She felt a strange sensation, as if she was being pulled back, like a force was dragging her out of this place.
Suddenly, she felt herself jolt back into her real world, the others still running ahead of her, completely unaware of anything strange or unusual.
"What the hell just happened?" Na-hee let out, her voice filled with confusion and fear. She glanced around, trying to make sense of what had just occurred.
The street was the same as before, debris and the unease of the surrounding, but something felt off. She felt a lingering sense of unease, as if the white world had left a mark on her soul.
"Na-hee, hurry up!" Hyo-ryung called out, her voice cutting through her words.
Na-hee nodded, forcing herself to keep moving. She couldn't afford to fall behind, especially not wanting to go back to that white world thing.
"Hyo-ryung!" Na-hee called out, her voice filled with urgency. hyo-ryung slowed her pace to match Na-hee's. "What was that place? The white world? Did you see that?"
Hyo-ryung glanced back at her, her expression a mix of concern and confusion. "What are you talking about, Na-hee? There was no white world."
Na-hee's heart sank. "But I... I saw it. It was like... like a different reality."
"Na-hee, are you okay?" Hyo-ryung asked, her voice filled with concern. "You seem... off."
Hyo-ryung shook her head full of concern, her eyes narrowing. "You're just stressed, Na-hee. Come on, let's join the others." She tells na-hee as she jogs faster.
"Hyo-ryung, wait!" Before Na-hee could even finish her sentence, the world around her suddenly turned pure white again, leaving her completely alone.
She stumbled to a stop, her breath coming in short, panicked gasps as she tried to collect herself. "What is happening...?" she whispered, her voice trembling as she looked around.
The endless expanse of white stretched out in every direction, and she felt a wave of disorientation wash over her.
Na-hee began to walk cautiously, her eyes scanning the eerie landscape. As she moved, she suddenly collided with a white wall, causing her head to throb with pain. "What the!?" she yelled, clutching her temple and massaging the spot where she had hit it.
She stared at the wall, her mind racing. She had thought this reality was endless, but now she had run into a barrier that felt solid yet invisible.
She reached out and placed her hand on the wall, but she couldn't feel anything. It was as if the wall was made of air, an illusion that defied her senses.
Just as she was trying to make sense of it, the white world glitched into a sickly green for a split second, sending a chill down her spine.
"The Subject is now fully conscious."
A voice rang out, cold and mechanical, making Na-hee jump. "What's that supposed to mean?" she muttered, her heart pounding in her chest.
Before she could process anything further, she was abruptly pulled back to her reality, a hand sliding onto her own and catching her off guard.
She was dragged into a nearby alleyway, and Na-hee looked at the person who had grabbed her.
"Lee Na-yeon!?" she felt herself shout, her voice filled with disbelief and shock. How could this be? Her best friend was supposed to be dead!
"Quiet down Na-hee! I swear I'll tell you everything." Na-yeon said, her voice urgent. Na-hee shut her mouth, nodding in agreement as she followed Na-yeon into the dark cave.
They both collected their breaths, and Na-hee sank down onto the ground, exhaustion weighing heavily on her.
She looked up at Na-yeon, her eyes wide with shock, feeling like they were going to pop out of her head. "First of all? Am I seeing things? Because this is not funny." she let out, her voice a mix of disbelief and confusion.
Na-yeon let out an annoyed expression. "Hee? Do I look like fake to you? What the!" she complained, her tone a mix of frustration and relief.
"Oh, it's Lee Na-yeon." Na-hee whispered, the realization hitting her like a wave.
"First of all, I thought you were DEAD!" she exclaimed, jumping up to hug Na-yeon tightly. Na-yeon reciprocated the hug, and Na-hee felt a warmth she hadn't felt in what seemed like forever.
"This was all worth all that trouble." Na-yeon let out, her voice soft as she savored the moment.
"How did you..." Na-hee started, still in shock.
"Survive?" Na-yeon finished Na-hee's sentence, nodding. Na-hee nodded, her eyes searching Na-yeon's face for answers.
Na-yeon moved closer, her expression turning serious, which was unlike her usual demeanor. She took a deep breath, her eyes locking with Na-hee's. "Na-hee... what I'm about to say might be hard to process." she said slowly, her voice filled with gravity. "Listen carefully."
Na-yeon took a deep breath, her expression softening slightly. "we're.. not really in our world right now. We're in a game. A survival game." Na-yeon started, which made Na-hee speechless at her words. Na-hee doesn't even know if she should believe the words coming out of Na-yeon's mouth.
Na-hee stared at Na-yeon, her expression a mix of skepticism and irritation. "A game? How?" Na-hee tells Na-yeon, Cleary not in the mood to belive her.
Na-yeon sighed, running a hand through her hair. "Na-hee, I know it sounds crazy, but I'm serious."
"They're not like normal people, Na-hee. They're twisted, and they'll stop at nothing to get what they want. If they fully turn obsessed and catch you, you're trapped forever."
Na-hee put her hands on her waist as she looked at Na-yeon skeptical. "Because it all sounds ridiculous! You're just trying to make up some wild story to explain why you're acting weird." Na-hee let out a deep breath.
Na-yeon's frustration was evident. "I'm not making this up!"
Na-hee crossed her arms, her skepticism unwavering. "Okay, let's say I believe you for a second. What do say we do? Just walk away and hope they don't follow us?"
Na-yeon's expression hardened. "I don't have time for this, Na-hee. You don't have to believe me, but I'm not going to let anything happen to you."
Na-hee didn't utter a word at Na-yeon's words, couldn't shake the feeling of unease. Part of her wanted to believe Na-yeon, but the other part of her was still skeptical.
Na-hee shook her head, her voice laced with nervousness. "If you're saying the truth, how do you know all of this and I don't?" she asked, her eyes searching Na-yeon's for any sign of doubt.
"Okay, let's start from the very beginning." Na-yeon told Na-hee, her voice steady but laced with tension. "In the broadcasting room, I made an honest mistake, I tried to infect Gyeong-su. I don't know why, I just felt this overwhelming jealousy toward him, and I acted out of my consciousness." Na-yeon paused, her voice dropping to a whisper.
"When I did, Gyeong-su whispered something to me."
Na-hee leaned in closer, her heart racing. "What did he tell you?" she asked slowly, her eyes searching Na-yeon's for any sign of fear.
"You're a pawn in a game far beyond your understanding." Na-yeon recalled, her voice trembling slightly. "And if you choose to stay, I'll make sure you experience the same pain I did."
Na-yeon took a deep breath, her hands clasped tightly together. "At first, I didn't understand what he meant. But I knew it was not like Gyeong-su at all, that idiot is stupid as hell- I just felt this wave of nervousness and confusion, like my mind was spinning out of control."
Na-hee's heart ached as she listened, her concern growing. "But then... what happened?" she prompted gently.
"Then, I somehow survived." Na-yeon continued, her voice breaking. "Mrs. Park helped me, but...she sacrificed herself for me." Na-hee felt a lump form in her throat as she held Na-yeon close, the weight of the news settling in.
Na-yeon stared into the distance, her expression haunted. "I was in the storage room, at the music room." she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
Na-hee's eyes widened. "You were there? Why didn't you...?" she trailed off, her voice filled with concern.
"Go out? Because I was scared and felt shame." Na-yeon repeated, her gaze fixed on the ground. "But then, when all of you escaped, I finally built up the courage to go outside. I saw your recordings" she continued, a small, bittersweet smile touching her lips. "I saw what you said."
"But you know what I noticed?" Na-yeon's voice grew more intense. "The other recordings were glitched, like it was on purpose. But yours, it was like it wanted to focus on you." She paused, her eyes searching Na-hee's. "The sudden voice from my thoughts told me what I needed to do to survive, to get to you."
Na-yeon took a deep breath, her expression shifting to one of dawning realization. "After that, everything in this universe came flooding into my mind slowy. I don't know how, but I suddenly had these memories, memories I didn't have before. That night, I was supposed to die because of Yoon Gwi-nam, but I didn't."
"So I came up with a conclusion." Na-yeon said, her voice steady but filled with urgency. "If a character dies, they can recall all the memories that have happened before. But it will take time." She looked at Na-hee, her eyes wide with realization.
"That's how Gyeong-su knew my plan. He knew. He changed his- the story. The others might also have already recalled their memories."
Na-hee felt a chill run down her spine as the gravity of Na-yeon's words sank in. "So, you're saying... we're not just playing a game? There's something deeper at play here?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Na-yeon nodded, her expression serious. "Yes. And we need to be careful. If the others have recalled their memories, they might be planning something."
Na-hee let out a deep breath, processing Na-yeon's words. It was difficult to take in, but she knew Na-yeon was right.
"The way you explained it sounded smart." Na-hee said, a small smile playing on her lips as she looked at Na-yeon.
Na-yeon raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. "Are you serious? You think im that dumb?" she asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.
"Yes."
"I just realized that I have been given a second chance, and i wasn't going to waste it." Na-yeon tells Na-hee, her voice barely above a whisper. "i needed to understand what was happening first"
Na-yeon finished with a sigh of exhaustion, turning her head to look at Na-hee, who was also still processing everything. A smile curved her lips as she teased, "So, you believe me now?"
"Oh, I definitely do." Na-hee replied, her voice steady but laced with a hint of unease.
She carefully collected the puzzle pieces from Gwi-nam's creepy threats, the display of affection that felt more like a threat, their unsettling eyes, and the eerie white world. "Yeah, I definitely do."
Na-hee raised an eyebrow as she turned to look at Na-yeon again. "Oh, right. When I was running earlier with the group, I was suddenly pulled into a white world." she let out, her voice tinged with a mix of confusion and unease.
Na-yeon leaned closer, her eyes narrowing as she urged, "Did you see anything else?"
"At first, I saw nothing, just white everywhere." Na-hee continued, her gaze drifting as she recalled the experience. "Until I collided with an invisible wall. Then, suddenly, there was a glitch, and robotic words came out." Her voice lowered as she mimicked the mechanical tone, "The Subject is now fully conscious."
Na-yeon processed her words, her expression shifting from curiosity to concern. "Do you know what that means, Na-yeon?" Na-hee asked, her voice laced with a hint of urgency.
"I think that's the system telling the game runs on how it's supposed to be." Na-yeon offered, her mind racing through possibilities.
"Or... this game is designed to focus entirely on you. What if that wasn't a script? What if it was a warning that the system knows you're not just an NPC anymore?" she let out, her voice trailing off as the implications sank in.
"If it's the second one, then the system already knows you've warned me." Na-hee stated, her eyes locking with Na-yeon's. The weight of her words hung in the air.
"Oh shit." Na-yeon let out, her heart pounding. "I don't know what will happen."
"Me too." Na-hee replied, her voice barely above a whisper. Both of them fell silent, their eyes darting around their surroundings, the reality of their situation settling in.
Na-hee cleared her throat, her mind still shifting from the overwhelming amount of information she had just received. She shifted her weight, sitting down on the cool ground with a soft thud. "So... what kind of a game are we in?" she recalled to Na-yeon.
Na-yeon leaned back against the wall, her eyes narrowing as she tried to piece together the puzzle. "Basically, it's like a harem, you know, yandere?" she replied, her tone casual but laced with a hint of unease.
"Yandere?" Na-hee echoed, her brow furrowing as she tried to recall the term. "Like... that yandere game we once played?" she asked, her expression a mix of confusion and dawning realization.
"You can say that." Na-yeon replied, her voice dropping to a whisper. "But this is different. Much different."
"But why?" Na-hee whispered, her heart pounding in her chest. Na-yeon turned to look at Na-hee as she lifted an eyebrow, "Why us? Why are we here."
An uneasy silence settled between the two, heavy with unspoken fears and unanswered questions. "To be honest... I don't know." Na-yeon admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "Especially, I don't know why it targets you specifically."
Na-yeon felt tears threatening to fall, but she forced herself to stay calm. "All of this... it's a cycle." she whispered, her voice trembling. "It means the moment you die. We have to go through all of this again and again."
Na-hee looked up, her eyes filled with a mix of sadness and resignation. "Maybe it's our fate?" she started, her voice trembling slightly.
"To be stuck here, to relive this over and over again." She rested her face on her knees, the weight of the situation pressing down on her. "Maybe this is just how it's supposed to be."
Na-yeon gently placed her hand on Na-hee's shoulder, their eyes locking in a moment of shared determination. "Na-hee... I swear we'll make it out of here." Na-yeon said, her voice steady yet filled with unwavering resolve. "Don't lose hope."
Na-yeon took out a knife from her skirt pocket and showed it to Na-hee. Her hands were shaky. "I have this. I'll use this if those fuckers try to hurt you." Na-yeon told Na-hee. Na-yeon put the knife back in her pocket.
Na-hee stared at Na-yeon, her eyes blinking, her breathing shaky. "This is all messed up..." Na-hee stuttered.
In an instant, the two girls heard the sound of running footsteps echoing through the cave. They looked up, and there, standing at the entrance, was a shadowy figure. Squinting their eyes against the dim light, they strained to make out the anonymous person's features.
It was none other than Yoon fucking Gwi-nam.
Na-yeon and Na-hee quickly stood up, taking a cautious step back. "I should've known.." Na-hee whispered, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and frustration.
"Na-hee, let's go!" Na-yeon called out, her voice urgent as she quickly grabbed Na-hee's hand.
They sprinted through the dark cave, their hearts pounding in their chests, hoping to find another exit. The sound of Gwi-nam's footsteps echoed, growing louder.
Fear gripped them as they ran, Na-yeon's hand clenching tightly around Na-hee's, determined not to let her go this time.
As they sprinted, a faint light appeared ahead. "There!" Na-yeon shouted, her voice filled with hope.
They ran faster, the light brightening their faces as they continued forward. After what felt like an eternity, they managed to escape Gwi-nam's grasp and quickly ducked into a nearby alleyway, their breaths coming in ragged gasps.
The two girls leaned against the wall, trying to catch their breath. Just as Na-yeon was about to speak, Na-hee raised a finger to her lips, signaling for silence.
"W-wait! Na-hee?" Hyo-ryung called out, her voice filled with panic as she scanned the area. "Guys! Na-hee!" she shouted to the others.
The group stopped in their tracks and turned to look at Hyo-ryung. Cheong-san jogged back to her. "Where's Na-hee?" he asked nervously.
"I don't know! I turned around and she was gone!" Hyo-ryung replied, her eyes wide with fear.
Dae-su ran his hand through his hair. "What? where did she go?" he exclaimed.
The others quickly gathered around, their expressions filled with concern. "What's happening?" Su-hyeok asked, glancing around and noticing Na-hee was missing. "Where's Na-hee?"
"That's what we're wondering! She's gone!" Hyo-ryung answered.
"If Cheong-san managed to get out of the construction building, that Gwi-nam probably did too" Joon-yeong said, his voice laced with worry. The others scanned the area, their hearts sinking.
"What? What do you mean Na-hee is gone?" Min-ji exclaimed.
"I'm going to find Na-hee." Nam-ra declared, her voice firm and resolute.
"I'm coming with you." On-jo agreed without hesitation.
"What if the zombies are heading this way?" Min-ji asked, her voice trembling.
"You guys didn't see her?" Ha-ri questioned, but no one answered.
"Alright, you guys go first towards the safe zone. We'll find Na-hee." Su-hyeok instructed, trying to keep everyone calm.
"What if you don't manage to find her in time?" Wu-jin interjected, clearly at a loss, his voice firm.
"Wu-jin..." Su-hyeok began, but Wu-jin cut him off.
"Why don't you want us to help you find Na-hee? She's important to me. I'm going." Wu-jin said, his tone firm and determined, Cleary his emotions are going at all places.
"If anyone wants to help, come. I don't care." Nam-ra said, already starting to walk away, On-jo following closely behind.
In the end, Ha-ri, Min-ji, Dae-su, and Hyo-ryung headed towards the safe zone, while the others were desperately searching for Kim Na-hee.
"Nam-ra, can you hear her anywhere?" On-jo asked, her eyes scanning the surroundings.
"I'm hearing something." Nam-ra replied, moving towards the sound. "Somebody yelled."
"Yelled?" Gyeong-su echoed, and the group looked around as they heard footsteps running. They followed Nam-ra, their hearts racing.
As they approached, the others peeked around the corner and saw Yoon Gwi-nam seemingly finding something, or someone.
Su-hyeok grabbed them as they hid behind the corner. He made an expression, his eyes widening in a way that said, 'Are you guys crazy?'
Nam-ra started walking the other way, and the others followed, glancing around nervously to avoid Gwi-nam.
Na-yeon quietly led Na-hee, her heart pounding as they listened intently, trying to avoid running into Gwi-nam. She knew his intentions, and she would do anything to protect Na-hee.
Na-yeon stopped suddenly, causing Na-hee to collide with her back. "Why did you stop?" Na-hee whispered, her voice trembling.
Down at the alleyway, the others stood in place, analyzing Na-yeon who was standing before them. They thought she was dead, it was a surprise, mostly to Gyeong-su.
"Na-yeon?" On-jo let out softly as she started to walk closer, not knowing Na-hee was also there just behind Na-yeon.
The others froze as they watched Na-yeon, some in shock and some with hatred at how she was still standing. Na-yeon felt her eyes widen as she turned around, her grip tightening on Na-hee's arm.
"Run." she whispered urgently, gesturing for Na-hee to flee the other way. They quickly left the group.
"She's alive?" Cheong-san let out, his tone firm, as he watched Na-yeon's retreating figure disappear around the corner, with another figure running in front of her.
Nam-ra wasted no time and also ran after them. The group stood and looked at Nam-ra in confusion. "Why are we going after her?" Gyeong-su asked.
"She's with Na-hee." Nam-ra told them as she ran faster. The group quickly recollected themselves and followed Nam-ra.
"How did she manage to survive until now?" Joon-yeong let out quietly.
As they ran after Na-yeon and Na-hee, the group's breaths came in sharp, uneven gasps. The alleyway echoed with their footsteps and the frantic beating of their hearts.
"Why is Na-hee with Na-yeon?" Gyeong-su panted, his eyes glaring with hatred. "She's always been a coward, hiding behind others. Why would Na-hee trust her?"
Cheong-san clenched his fists, his voice low and intense. "I don't know, it doesn't make sense."
"Of course that doesn't make any sense! Na-yeon tried to kill me, remember?" Gyeong-su told them, his voice rising in anger as he recalled back at the recording room.
Cheong-san nodded, his voice filled with suspicion. "But why would Na-hee trust her?"
Joon-yeong shook his head, his voice low and intense. "Maybe Na-yeon is trying to lure Na-hee away. You know? to convince Na-hee."
Gyeong-su stopped abruptly, causing the others to halt as well. Nam-ra turned back to look at the group, but her legs brought her to a sudden stop. She stared at them, confusion and urgency etched on her face.
"You're right, Joon-yeong." Gyeong-su said, his voice low and intense. "She's going to twist the story and convince Na-hee that she never tried to kill me."
Cheong-san clenched his fists, his voice filled with disbelief. "I can't believe Na-yeon.."
Gyeong-su took a step forward, his eyes fixed on Cheong-san. "We can't let her get away with this. We have to stop her before she can manipulate Na-hee any further."
Gyeong-su's eyes gleamed with a dangerous intensity as he tightened his grip. "When we catch them, I'm going to make Na-yeon pay for what she did to me."
On-jo frowned, her mind racing. "But what about Na-hee? We can't hurt her."
Wu-jin shook his head, his voice filled with suspicion. "I don't think so. Na-yeon is just trying to manipulate Na-hee. She wants to keep her for herself."
Su-hyeok stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous intensity. "Then let's do it. We'll take Na-hee away from Na-yeon."
Nam-ra, who was leading the way, her eyes narrowing. "We need to catch up to them." Her voice catching the others attention.
Cheong-san placed a hand on Gyeong-su's shoulder. As they ran through the narrow alley, the sound of their footsteps echoed off the walls.
As they rounded the corner, they saw Na-yeon and Na-hee standing at the end of the alley, their backs against the wall. Na-yeon's eyes widened as she saw the group approaching, and she stepped in front of Na-hee, shielding her with her body.
"Stay back!" Na-yeon shouted, her voice trembling with fear. "I won't let you hurt her!"
Gyeong-su's eyes narrowed, and he took a step forward. "What do you mean?! You're the one who almost killed me."
On-jo stepped forward, her voice filled with urgency. "Please, Na-yeon. Let's all talk this out."
As the group closed in, Na-yeon's grip on Na-hee tightened, her eyes darting between the groups and the narrow alley behind them.
"Stay back!" Na-yeon's voice wavered, but her body shielded Na-hee with desperate resolve. "leave us alone!"
Gyeong-su ignored her, his focus locked on Na-hee. "Na-hee, come with us. Na-yeon is lying to you."
Nam-ra stepped closer, her intense gaze locked on Na-hee. "Na-hee, remember what she did. She tried to kill Gyeong-su."
"Na-yeon saved me." Na-hee whispered, her voice barely audible.
Gyeong-su's heart clenched at her words, but he pressed on. "She's manipulating you."
Su-hyeok voice was low. "We're not leaving without you."
Na-yeon's eyes darted to the dirt beneath her feet, her anxiety spilling over as she locked onto Gyeong-su's infuriated expression. "Shit!" she hissed, snatching a handful of gritty earth and hurling it directly at his eyes.
"Ah! What the!" Gyeong-su roared, instinctively shielding his face as the dirt stung his skin. "You're crazy!"
In the chaos, Na-hee lunged forward, grabbing Na-yeon's arm with surprising strength. "Run!" she yelled, her voice cutting through the tension as they bolted down the alley, their legs burning from the relentless sprint.
Gyeong-su cursed, wiping dirt from his eyes, while the others scrambled to regroup, their pursuit momentarily disrupted by the sudden ambush.
As they fled, Na-yeon glanced back, her heart pounding not just from the run but from the fear of losing Na-hee.
"Na-hee!" Gwi-nam called out, his voice smooth but laced with a possessive edge. "I've been waiting for you."
There stood in front of them Gwi-nam.
Before the two could react, Gwi-nam lunged forward, his hands closing around both Na-yeon and Na-hee's arms. "You belong with me." he said, his gaze burning into Na-hee.
The two girls froze, their expressions shifting from shock to fear. Na-hee thrashed on his hold, her voice shaky. "Let us go, Gwi-nam. This doesn't involve you."
Gwi-nam smirked, his grip tightening on the girls. "Oh, but it does."
Na-yeon shook her head, her eyes filled with a mix of anger and sadness. "You'll only trap her again. I won't let you take her."
Na-yeon pulled out a knife, her hands trembling with anger. "I won't let you hurt her." she hissed, her eyes locked on Gwi-nam. Gwi-nam smirked, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous intensity.
As Na-yeon charged forward, Gwi-nam dodged her attack with ease, his movements fluid and precise. He grabbed her wrist, twisting it until the knife clattered to the ground.
Na-hee stepped in, her voice filled with desperation. "Yoon Gwi-nam stop!"
The sudden interruption caused Gwi-nam to hesitate, giving Na-yeon the chance she needed. With a surge of strength, she broke free from his grasp and lunged at him again, this time aiming for his chest.
Gwi-nam stumbled back, a look of surprise on his face. "You dare attack me?" he growled, his eyes burning with anger.
Na-hee and Na-yeon stood, their breaths quicken as they faced Gwi-nam. His half-bie strength was overwhelming
"We can't fight him." Na-hee whispered, her mind racing. Na-yeon shook her head as she held onto her knife tightly.
"Na-hee is right, I'm practically a god." Gwi-nam said, his tone dripping with pride.
