Chapter 10: he's sick
15:00, 24 April 2020Beomgyu's POV
I opened my eyes and I was dazzled by the morning light coming from the windows. I rose from my bed. I yawned and stretched my arms.
My brain became blank for a moment. I can't remember what happened last night. All I remember is I was watching with Yeonjun then... nothing. Wait— Did I fell asleep last night while watching? That's too embarrassing to Yeonjun. And also, why am I sleeping in a bed? Did he carried me all the way here? F*CK! IM SO DONE— DID WE SLEEP TOGETHER?!
I pressed my face onto the pillow I was holding and intensely shake my body while in the bed because of the embarrassment.
Wait. Where is Yeonjun? My eyes looked everywhere in the room but I can't see Yeonjun. Maybe he already woke up. I stood up and fixed myself in the mirror. Then I gently walked out of the room and I saw Yeonjun sleeping on the couch.
I am so ashamed right now. I realized Yeonjun let me sleep in his room while he slept here. I feel like I have lots of sins to Yeonjun right now.
As I come near him, I noticed something, he's too pale.
I was slightly surprised when Yeonjun moved. He crossed his arms. Then I noticed he is shaking. What is happening to him? Is he sick?
I came closer to him and he is sweating all over his face. I placed my hand on his forehead and gosh... he has a fever.
I was worried to him. That's why he was acting weird last night. I think it's my fault. I made Yeonjun go outside and be wet in the rain. If I just didn't go outside, you wouldn't be like this, Yeonjun. It's all my fault.
I headed to the kitchen and grabbed a pack of ice and a basin. I filled the basin with water and I put the ice in it. I placed the basin in the coffee table near Yeonjun then I grabbed two clean towel on Yeonjun's closet and a blanket.
I soaked the clean towel in the cold water then i squeezed it. I folded the towel so it can fit on Yeonjun. I placed it on his forehead. I gently wiped Yeonjun's sweat using another towel. Then I covered his body using a blanket so he can't feel coldness.
I looked at him once again. He looks really pale. What have I done, again.
I put my head down for a second and placed my hands on my face.
Yeonjun: What are you doing?
I was shocked by the low voice that I heard. Yeonjun just woke up.
Beomgyu: I'm so sorry, Yeonjun. I made you sick. I made you go out when it's raining.
Yeonjun: You didn't made me do that. I was the one who decided to go out. It isn't your fault.
Beomgyu: But still, it's my fault. If I didn't go out—
Yeonjun: Shhh. Just get me a water, I'm thirsty.
Beomgyu: What?
Yeonjun: I'm thirsty.
Beomgyu: Oh. Okay.
I grabbed a glass of water and gave it to Yeonjun. Yeonjun rose and placed his back on the backrest of the couch to drink the water.
Beomgyu: Yeonjun, I know it's really my fault so I'm—
Yeonjun: (sighed after drinking) I want more.
I am now confused and pissed at the same time. Is he playing with me?
I aggressively grabbed the glass and filled it again with water.
I gave it to Yeonjun with a contemptuous face.
I saw him smiling a bit. This jerk.
Beomgyu: Could you please listen to—
Yeonjun: Look, I don't want you to be sorry to me. You didn't do anything wrong, ok?
My aggression towards him disappeared. I felt soft once again.
Third Person POV
12:30 PM
It's already afternoon. Beomgyu don't know if he will be going home because no one will take care of Yeonjun in his house.
Beomgyu is thinking if he would be informing his Mom in sleeping in Yeonjun's house again. Beomgyu have told her Mom that he would be staying here yesterday but Beomgyu thinks it's too much if she would knew that he'll be staying again. Beomgyu thinks her Mom would be suspicious towards him.
Beomgyu: Yeonjun.
Yeonjun: Hmm?
Beomgyu: Do you think you can take care of yourself?
Yeonjun: Why? Are you going home now?
Beomgyu: I don't know. I'm a bit nervous if Mom knew that I'll be staying here again.
Yeonjun: Argh. My head.
Yeonjun started to act like his head is literally aching and Beomgyu believed in it. Beomgyu feels worried that Yeonjun really can't be alone. Meanwhile, Yeonjun is smiling inside. He made Beomgyu believe in his foolish act.
Beomgyu: Okay. I'll stay with you. I just have to get my things in our house.
Yeonjun smiled while Beomgyu didn't noticed it.
Yeonjun: What is it?
Beomgyu: Tomorrow is Monday. I have to get my uniform and school stuffs.
Yeonjun: You can just wear my uniform.
Beomgyu: How about my clothes? I also need underwear. I haven't showered yet.
Yeonjun: You can also wear mine.
Beomgyu: Eeww. No way. I'll just go get my stuffs.
Yeonjun: Just stay here, please.
Yeonjun suddenly held Beomgyu's hands.
But Beomgyu immediately removed it.
Beomgyu: No.
Beomgyu prepared everything that Yeonjun need in the coffee table near him before he leave to get his things.
Beomgyu: Call me if you suddenly feel something bad, okay? Bye!
Then he leave and closed the door. Yeonjun is left laying on the couch.
Yeonjun: When will you come back? I miss you already.
I texted Taehyun first before Mom. I have to ask him about me sleeping in Yeonjun's house.
I decided to net tell Taehyun about it because I know he'll tease me. Okay so Mom won't be going back today so I can sleep at Yeonjun's.
Third Person POV
2:30 PM
Beomgyu came back. He got what he need from his house and he placed his belongings in Yeonjun's room. Meanwhile, Yeonjun is still sick and is laying on the couch.
Beomgyu's POV
I think I have to tell Yeonjun the truth. That I wasn't really the one who told those rumors and I have to tell her everything about that girl.
Yeonjun is awake but his eyes are closed so I decided to tell him so we can be comfortable with each other and to clear things out.
Beomgyu: Yeonjun.
Yeonjun: Hmmm?
Beomgyu: I have to tell you something...
Yeonjun opened his eyes and stared at my face.
Beomgyu: I wasn't really the one who told everyone about the thing last year. I'm sorry about it.
The whole room was filled with silence for a second then suddenly Yeonjun smiled that made me confused.
Yeonjun: I know.
My eyes widened.
Beomgyu: You already know it?! Really?!
