Suitor

Jay's POVI was sitting on counter and he's preparing food, I do remember when he used to do it for us in high school and I was consistently smiling knowing how much pain we endured through all this time. At least I had people by my side who protected me and supported me, but him I don't even know where he was, how he was and how he survived. "Okay, the meal is ready", He diverted my attention, he served the food in dishes and moved towards dining table, and I just followed him. I know I'm strong and resilient but when he's around me I feel like he's here to take care of everything. But now, I know he's trying to look fine but he's not, don't worry I'm here for you.He ruffled my hairs, "eat it, otherwise it'll get lumpy", I looked at him and aside his hands, "did Duan Jiaxu caught your soul, behaving so soft". He chuckled, "isn't girls into soft boys more, I'm trying to become one". I hissed, "don't you know me, and I love how you're, my Keifer". He smirked, "ahh.. love..., my...", he dives into my eyes, "already putting a label on me, well I like it". This man knows how to make me blush, and my words are just coming out by themselves, "I mean that was in the past, now I don't have such things in my mind". He pulls me with my chair, "alright, I'll make it happen, and you know I'm quite smart". I scoffed and tried to get out of his grip, "I'm handsome, intelligent, tall man, attractive voice, nice personality...", he continued, this narcissist man but I'm loving it, my old Keifer is back.He smirked, "am I not a perfect suitor, and I've everything, but only thing is I'm not rich anymore", I can see change in his expressions, the heir of Watson, the man who was king is now living like this. But you're still king of my heart Kiefer, you don't need money to be a crowned. He backed off, "but I promise, once my new album is launched and become famous, I'll earn a lot".This time I moved closer, "it's okay, you've got a queen... I'm quite rich than you". He smiles, "you'll spend on me". I rolled my shoulders, "well, I can", he kissed my forehead, "I love you". We just stared into each other's eyes, I know our faces were moving closer, I want it I do, but no... I came back from wonderland into reality and put the spoon full of meals into his mouth. He coughed, and I laughed and he too.The living room was full of our giggles, the silent home became a happy place, there's no more awkwardness and desperation to talk but unspoken words, but the distance is withering slowly, we're here together. My Keifer is back into my life, I'm really happy and I don't want him to go this time and he's to make some efforts to stay. I'm ready to hold your hand, but assure me Keifer that you're going to stay, a tear escaped my eyes, I don't want to suffer again but be with you, either it's good time or bad time. He wiped off my tears, "I won't let you cry", did he just hear my inner voice, "okay! from today see me as a man". I squeezed my eyes and laughed, "from today? I mean weren't you before, you...".

He flicked over my forehead, "you messy cat", I snorted, "don't call me that again". He shook his head, "I just want to say, you've been seeing me as old High School mate, or maybe teenage love. But from now see me as an adult, a man chasing his love. I'm serious about it, 'm gonna put real efforts to make you mine, officially and permanently". God! damn his words, he always leaves me speechless. Keifer's POV

I can feel her heart pounding, she's fighting with herself and not coming closer but it's fine the more the wait, the more it's worth it. I finally got up and moved to wash dishes, and she didn't even stop me, I know this girl lazy, the messy cat. After doing the dishes, I saw she's busy in her laptop, "internship?", she nods in yes. I sat beside her, "even I'm looking for one, is there any vacant seat in your office?". She smirked, "is it because of Mr Amarand?". I nodded, "no.. no I'm serious. I've to be a responsible man before committing a relationship. In future we will marry and have caretaker and watcher, so for them". She cut me off, "wait what? marriage? our marriage? and what's with caretaker and watcher?", she lined up questions. I giggled, "hmm.. our kids". Her face flushed, turning her ears red, she clenched her jaws, "you're an idiot", and slapped two three times on my shoulders while pushing me away. I was enjoying her annoyed reactions. She is really cute.I pulled her cheeks, "my messy cat", she pointed her index finger at me, "I'm neither a cat not yours but you're a jerk, insane and a crazy man". I scoffed, "tss... you're.. you're my wife and you know you just used three profanities". She got up but I pulled her and she lands in my lap, our cheeks touching and the moment we were again lost in each other. Little smile around her lips just glowing up my dark world again. 

I was able to find myself in those eyes again, we can hear each other's heartbeat and feel the heavy breathes and it's my home, I'm at my home again, she's my home, the beautiful and heavenly place.

The moment shattered with her phone, damn her phone buzzes a lot, it's Aries this time, it's been so long I've seen my best friend "can you keep it on speaker, I want to hear his voice". She dis the same, "Jay, have you done your dinner", they're doing some casual talks, and she was about to get up but I tightened my grip, "aye Keif..".Aries's voice was shocked, "Keif?", Jay handles it, "Keifi, my rabbit". He affirms, "are you looking for new boyfriend or still stuck with Keifer?", she saw me and smirked, "not yet, but someone has approached me, should I go for it?". Is she talking about me, I grinned "he's my classmate and a native". But I'm not native, is she teasing me, ahh.. Jay-Jay you're messing with wrong person, and you know that. 

I started tickling her, and her eyes widens, she tried stopping me with her elbows and pushed me, "you started it", I whispered, "stop it..", she blurted. Aries's voice was concerned, "what's wrong?", and she finally pinches me and get off. She covers up, but I was in mood of having fun and it's been so long that I teased her and even Aries, "Jay, come on", I said in a low voice, but I was sure Aries heard it.

"Are you with someone?", he asked, she pressed her palms against her forehead, "ohh, Jay, I can't wait", it must have blown their minds, she hits me too hard with her fists, "ahh.. it hurts". She abruptly ends the call and climbs over me, sitting between my legs, "what do you think of yourself?". I wrapped my hands around her, "suitor, and your future husband". She realise her position, and backed off immediately and I was just laughing, she warned me not to disturb again and calls Aries again, "it's network issue Aries, and there's nothing like you're assuming". and she finally handles the situation.

She again turns to me, "behave!", and even left a love mark, I mean a punch mark on my face. She's really a copy of Angelo, more than Aries same attitude and strength, I groaned while massaging the punched area.Next morning, we both got ready and went to college and had a nice conversation regarding new project, I even told her about my new album, she became excited and want to join together. The production house was already looking for a girl signer, "I've a gem to offer them, my Mutya". But for my inconvenience, the intruder Ben arrived, "Hey Jay-Jay good morning", she greets him and he turned to me, "Morning!", I replied with just a nod. As we approached towards class, he tried to get close to her, she's ignoring but I can't do that. My eyes went on Jay's open shoelace, at the same time Ben too points at that but before that I was already on my knees, I firmly tied those, and she smiled at me. I can see his clenched fists, huh... you've to realise she doesn't belong to you and will never become yours. As we reached the class, there was a talk regarding F1 race in the city, "oh wow, Keifer it's a long fucking time, we've raced". Ben was shocked, "race? it's about car- race". She knits her brows, "I know that, I've been a passionate racer". I smirked, "what do you know about her?", Ben's face was something to watch, Jay turned to me, "right, I've defeated him many a times". You don't have to say this, but she chuckled, "it's fine if you feel good then I'm ready to get humiliated for you". Our eyes met, and Ben coughed, it's useless man, as soon as you realise it, it's good for you. He held Jay's hand, "can we talk during the break time, alone". I want to twist his hand, but Jay won't like it, and I know she knows well to handle such situation. But she said yes to him about having a conversation.
