Small, Tall, and Lost

~:~ Jay POV ~:~

It was amazing. It wasnt too crowded, but that could've just been because it was morning. I looked around in awe at everything.

First things first though. Roller Coasters.

I looked at the map of the whole area.

"Let's go on all the roller coasters first! All. Of. Them!"

I saw some of the boys cheer and others look like their soul left their body.

I began to walk over to the ride nearest to us.

We spent most of the morning going on rides. Since many people weren't in the park the queue lines for the rides were fairly short. Which meant we went on at least twice for every thrill ride.

I was having a bunch of fun.

I was having so much fun. I didn't even realize I had been seperated from the group.

And that wasn't even the biggest problem. It had gotten crowded. More people had come in.

And it gets worse. I couldn't even see where the boys were because of my short height.

'Jessica you idiot!'

I facepalmed and groaned earning a few judging stares from the people around me.

I decided it would be best to walk to an area that wasnt crowded.

I pushed my way to the nearest open area and leaned on a light pole.

'Great. How am I going to meet up with the boys now? It would be great if I had a working phone... This is so frustrating! Let's buy a phone with our next paycheck! Alright Jessica?'

I sighed and looked at the map.

Suddenly a huge shadow appeared over.

I looked up to see Mingyu hovering over me.

["Oppa!"]

["Why did you separate from the group?"]

I gave him a big grin which quickly turned into and embarrassed smile.

["I wasn't paying attention to where you guys were and I got lost."]

He shook his head in disappointment and then began to look around.

["You're lucky I saw you walking away. And that I could follow where you were going because I'm tall. Well, it's also not my place to lecture you because I was also careless and lost track of the members."]

I pouted and then got an idea.

["But you have a phone! Call them! Text them!"]

He reached into his pockets and pat around his body then he frowned.

["I gave my phone to Wonwoo so he can take pictures of me..."]

I gave him a stoic face and sighed in defeat.

["Wait, but you're tall! How did they not see you walking away?!"]

He only shrugged.

I gave him a confused face and after a few moments we both ended up laughing.

["How is it that the shortest and tallest people in our group got lost together?!"]

I screamed out.

["We must be really careless to get lost like this!"]

Mingyu screamed out.

We both looked around our small area to see if we could find the members.

["Do you see them?"]

["Nope..."]

Mingyu turned to look at me standing on a bench and on my tippy toes and began to laugh.

["What?"]

["How is it that even though you're standing on a bench and on your tippy toes that you're still smaller than me? And by quite a bit too?"]

I looked down and looked back up at him and grabbed his shoulders and pushed him down until he was lower than me.

["I dare you to spend the whole day like that! It's not easy being small!"]

He just laughed even harder than before.

["So you want me to walk around the park like this?!"]

He waddled around while crounching down.

The sight of him walking like that made me begin to laugh.

["Oppa, get up! I'm going to die if I keep laughing! Ommo you look like a duck!"]

He kept waddling around but this time he added duck noises which made me laugh even harder to point that I began to cry.

["Oppa please! It hurts! Stop it! I'm dying!"]

He got up and pat my head.

["Don't die! The other members will kill me if they find out that you died while you were with me!"]

I giggled at his response.

He looked around and then looked back down at me. He leaned down so we could be eye level.

["Let's go eat?"]

I looked at him while wiping the tears from my eyes.

["Where?"]

["Let's just get some sweets around here. All this laughing made me hungry."]

He said as he rubbed his stomach.

I gave him a weird look and he simply shrugged.

["Let's go~ Please~"]

I nodded and smiled at him.

Suddenly he crouched down in front of me.

["What are you doing?"]

He looked back at me made a motion with his hands.

["Get on my back."]

I looked at him confused until I had realized what me meant.

"Oh! A piggyback ride!"

Now it was his turn to look at me confused.

["It's the name of this in English. I don't know what it's called in Korean. Or if it even has a name..."]

I got on his back and he pulled me up.

["Woah! I can see the whole park up here! What a nice view you have up here Mingyu oppa!"]

He just laughed at my reaction.

["You're so cute! Is the view usually boring down there?"]

I nodded with a pout.

["Yeah... I usually only see people's chests or their crotch."]

I felt chills go down my back as I said that and Mingyu kept laughing.

He wrapped his arms comfortably under my legs and I wrapped my arms around his shoulder.

["Are you comfortable?"]

I nodded and laid my head down on his back.

["Let's go get food!"]

He began to walk over to food stands and we looked around to see if there was something we wanted to eat.

In the end we both decided to get churros and share a big cotton candy.

["Oppa. Do you think we'll find the others?"]

He nodded as he bit into the cotton candy.

["Either we'll find them or they'll find us. Don't worry. We'll be fine."]

I nodded and reached up on my tippy toes to bite a piece of the cotton candy Mingyu was holding.

~:~ Mingyu POV ~:~

After eating we walked around more to see if we would bump into the members.

It was honestly really fun spending the day with Jay.

We laughed a bunch and we got along really quickly. It was like I've known her for years. There was absolutely no awkwardness between us.

I hadnt been able to get to know her since she was always with Joshua and Vernon and she didn't speak Korean when she got here.

She's actually pretty cool.

["Oppa! Let's get matching headbands!"]

I looked over at the stand she was pointing at.

There were cat ear headbands of different colors on the stand.

["Why?"]

She pouted at me.

["So it can be proof of our awesome friendship and a nice memory of our Lotte World adventure!~"]

I looked at her and then at the car ears and back at her.

'Ah~ why did it have to be cat ears out of everything here?! If the other members see me wearing them they'll surely tease me until I die...'

I closed my eyes regretting my decision.

["Okay... Pick the one you like the most..."]

A huge smile appeared on her face and I felt happy inside.

She jumped up and down and made her way to the stand and looked around the headbands.

I softly chuckled seeing her excited for such a small thing.

"You should get this one!"

She held out her hands toward me and tried to put the headband on my head. She jumped a few times not being able to reach. She looked at me with a frown.

["Oppa! You're too tall!"]

I laughed and leaned down to her level.

["There~ happy?"]

She nodded and went back to the stand to look for her own.

I grabbed the cat ears and began to turn them around and look at them.

The ears were white and fluffy. The inside of the ears were a pastel pink and one of the ears had a darker pink ribbon tied around it.

["Jay~ why this one! It's too cute! I can't wear this!"]

She stuck out her tounge at me.

"But it looks good on you! It's cute! I like it! You have to wear it, please~"

Slowly I put on the cat ears again and walked over to pay.

I made a face at her and then nodded and sulked by the cashier.

["Your girlfriend is cute."]

I looked at the guy behind the register.

["Oh... She's not my girlfriend..."]

He looked at me and then looked at her again.

A smile appeared on his face.

["Can I have her number then?"]

I looked at him and frowned.

["No. She's mine."]

He gave me a weird look and turned away from me.

["Jay! Hurry and pick! We need to find the others!"]

She looked over at me and gave me an okay.

She skipped over happily with her cat ears on her head.

It was the same as mine except hers had a blue ribbon and the inside of the ears were a pastel blue.

I looked over to the cashier and asked him to scan the headbands and I quickly pulled Jay away from that guy.

["Oppa! Look!"]

I looked at her and gave her a look of confusion.

"My ears match my outfit!"

I looked again and saw the ears matched her pastel shoes and her white cardigan.

["Oh! Isn't that the jacket I bought for you?"]

She nodded her head and smiled.

["I can't believe you didn't notice it before~"]

We laughed for a bit and then decided to head to the entrance of the amusement park.

'They should be there right?'

It had gotten a bit more crowded over the last few hours so I decided to hold Jay's hand so she wouldn't get lost again.

We both made jokes and messed around on own way to the entrance.

~:~ Woozi POV ~:~

It had been a while since we had lost sight of Jay and Mingyu.

Everyone kept saying:

["Look for a human pole! We'll find them!"]

Or

["Why is Jay so small? It should be a safety hazard to be that tiny!"]

In the end it was almost time to leave and the place had gotten more crowded.

We had looked around everywhere and hadn't been able to find them.

So we all decided to go back to the park entrance to wait for them there. And that's where we've been for the past 45 minutes.

All of us looked like meerkats trying to spot where they were.

A million scenarios had played in my head of what could have happened with them. I was really worried if they were okay.

It didn't help that Mingyu left his phone with Wonwoo. If he hadn't then we wouldn't be worried so much right now and probably on our way home.

"Jay! Over here! Jay!"

I quickly turned my head in Vernon's direction to see him waving his arms around.

I looked at the direction he was facing and sure enough there was Jay with Mingyu.

She was waving back at Vernon with one hand while the other held Mingyu's hand.

'Are they...? No... It's not possible...right?'

Suddenly everyone began to run over to them.

Vernon was the first one to reach Jay. And when he did he right away grabbed her and gave her a hug.

Pain.

I kept walking over to them and joined everyone else.

Vernon's hands were grabbing Jay's face turning it in everyway possible. He then grabbed her arms and did the same.

Mingyu rolled his eyes at the sight of Vernon overreacting.

"Are you okay? You aren't hurt anywhere? Why are you so clueless and clumsy?! It was like this when we first met!"

She hugged him back and snuggled into him.

More pain.

"I'm fine. Seriously! Mingyu played with me the whole day and he bought me food too! He took care of me very well. We even bought matching cat ear headbands! Aren't they cute?"

They pulled away, but Vernon held Jay's hands.

He laughed and nodded.

"Yeah, you're cute. Too cute actually."

Jay blushed at Vernon's comment.

'What is he doing?'

["Ya! You and Mingyu look like a couple with those matching cat ears!"]

Joshua called out.

["You guys aren't secretly dating, right?"]

The8 asked.

["No~ they are a sign of our awesome friendship and a memory of our adventure in Lotte World!"]

Jay said as she whined.

["Wait. Not that I think about it, weren't they holding hands while walking here?"]

Jun screamed out while pointing at them.

["Yeah! You're right! You guys aren't lying to us right?"]

Jeonghan began to look at Mingyu and Jay suspiciously.

["We aren't! We promise!"]

Mingyu said holding his hands up in defense.

["Mingyu, remember that you're an idol and you can't date anyone. Please be careful."]

S.Coups told him while walking up to him.

["Well~ since we are on the subject... Jay is there anybody you like?"]

DK began to ask Jay while poking her cheek.

["I like all of you."]

She stated plainly.

["Not that type of like! But more of you have very strong feelings for someone."]

Seungkwan began to poke her other cheek.

She looked down and then slowly her face began to turn red.

["Oh! She's red! She has to like someone!"]

Wonwoo exclaimed pointing out her blushing cheeks.

["Jay you should tell us!"]

Hoshi began to say while he put on a cute act.

She remained quiet with her said slightly down. She looked like she was about to say something.

Suddenly Vernon and Dino began to look at her intently.

I found myself doing the same.

'Is she going to say who she likes?'

["Ya! Let's go home! I'm tired now and I want to sleep."]

Everyone groaned from not getting an answer out of her but quickly nodded their head in agreement to Jay's request.

We all walked over to the small bus that had just arrived.

All the members were already in bed and sleeping. While I was the last one to get to bed.

Why? I was finishing up writing a few lyrics that had come to me while on the way home.

I rubbed my eyes and walked over to my bed to see Jay sleeping peacefully while hugging Finn.

I got in bed with her and slid the covers over us.

["Jay... Do you like Vernon? Is there anyone you have feelings for? At all? I'm sorry for being so distant from you all the time... I just can't seem to become close to you. I get so nervous I end up saying something I don't mean. Why am I so nervous around you though... I don't get it..."]

I looked at her still sleeping.

I sighed and ran my hand through my hair.

She moved around causing her hair to go over her face.

I moved her hair out of her face and suddenly her hand grabbed mine.

She snuggled closer to me and laid her head on my chest.

I could feel my heart speed up and my face get warm.

'Good thing everyone is asleep...'

I softly grabbed Finn and placed him on the top of the pillow over our heads. Then I slid one arm under her and with my other arm I hugged her waist and pulled her closer to me.

I kissed her forehead and then stared at her until I could feel my eyes begin to close.

I wanted to keep looking at her longer but it seems that I felt so comfortable sleeping with her in my arms that I easily fell asleep.
