San was beginning to show slow progress with his healing, well enough that Mingi took the mushrooms away from him—much to his dismay. But he kept him on bed rest since half of his wounds were deep or missing sections. The two eldest in the castle still weren't on speaking terms, but Eunha knew they would eventually talk it out. She was actually on a search for the hybrid but couldn't find him, resorting to asking for his location. And of course the only vampire she ran into was the exact one that wanted nothing to do with the other for the time being. "Would you have any idea where Hongjoong is?" Seonghwa was seated on the sofa, book in hand. He pulled his attention away from it to his pregnant wife standing over him. "Sorry, doll. I don't know where the sour wolf is." She let out a sigh but instead of continuing her search, she plopped herself down beside of him and leaned against his side. "This pregnancy thing is starting to really piss me off." The vampire closed the book he was engrossed in and sat it aside, giving the human his full attention now. "How's that, doll? Are you feeling alright?" "I don't know, which would you like to hear about first? The random waves of sickness? Losing breath just from walking five meters? The constant need to urinate? Eating everything in sight? The way I can feel every one of my organs shifting to make room? Or the constant back pain? I could go on.." Eunha hid her face in his chest and curled up against him. He felt helpless because he had no alternative for her pain and discomfort. "I wish there was something I could do for you." Seonghwa caressed her head and pulled at the quilt laid over the back of the couch, draping it over her. Eunha moved her face back into view. "Kick Hongjoong's ass, he's responsible." He couldn't help the laugh that vibrated his frame, making her giggle along. "I wouldn't mind doing that anyway." "It'll have to wait for later, I'm comfy now."
Eunha fell asleep about an hour after she accompanied the vampire, now pressed firmly into his side with her legs pulled up in a fetal position; snug under the blanket. She looked peaceful, which forced Seonghwa to keep from moving. And he was definitely stuck here until she woke up. But he had no reason to, continuing the book he was reading. He didn't get far when the person she was previously searching for made himself known by entering the main doors. Hongjoong's first glance was on his mate, sleeping peacefully—but the next person his eyes landed on was the last person he wanted to see. He didn't seem interested in them anymore and bypassed them, but Seonghwa took this as his chance. "She's been looking for you all day." "What are you now? My father?" The hybrid huffed in the direction of his companion, but he didn't continue his exit. "If you're just going to go to your room like a child, take her with you." The eldest vampire snapped at his elder, showing no fear and no intention of backing down in their continuous dispute. Hongjoong wanted to retaliate, snap back. Instead he calmly walked over and slowly lifted his mate off the vampire, ignoring him completely and left the room, but he still heard Seonghwa's next words. "When you figure out what the hell we're going to do, let me know."
Eunha woke up well past sunset. The immortals skipped a human meal for something more red, leaving just the pair of soon-to-be parents. Hongjoong didn't leave her side the whole time, stuck in his own thoughts. "Hi there, baby girl." "Hi. I was looking for you." She ended her statement with a large and loud yawn, arms stretching outwards. "I heard." He fixed the beautiful mess of hair on her head. "Are you hungry? You missed dinner." "Maybe later. I'm okay for now." Eunha reached over to play with his hair as well. "You know, I kind of like the brown on you better." "You think so? I haven't gotten accustomed to it.. but I think I like it better dark. Is that why you were looking for me? To tell me you liked my hair?" Hongjoong joked with her, bringing them both into laughter. "No, of course not." She playfully shoved his shoulder, even though he didn't budge. "There's something I've been thinking about." The smile on her face let him know it was nothing of negative spirits. "What is it?" "I know we still have plenty of time before it comes.. but I've been thinking of a few names. And I wanted your opinion on them, and also what you might have in mind." He hadn't even really thought of naming their baby, his mind crammed with protecting them as well as his brothers. "I don't have any for the time being, go ahead. I'd love to hear." "I haven't really thought of anything I liked for a girls name, and we can talk about it more later. But I do have one I really like for a boy." Her smile only grew as she got closer to revealing the name, especially since curiosity grew on his face. "I've only heard you speak of him once before, but I know you think very highly of him. And what more way to honor him, than to name your son after him." Hongjoong's curiosity warped to confusion, wracking his brain for who she could be referring to. "Bumjoong." The hybrid shot up from his place on the bed, his face expressionless at first. Eunha sat up with him, suddenly worried she might have upset him. And she had, because Hongjoong's eyes began to pour tears that he couldn't stop. "I love it." His voice cracked and she pulled him into a hug, comforting the wolf who missed his older brother with everything in him. "When you told me his name.. I couldn't get it out of my mind. It's all I've been thinking about, and I was hoping you would be on board." Hongjoong laughed through his tears of both happiness and sorrow. "Of course, I'm on board. I'm the captain after all." He pulled away from her embrace, allowing her to wipe his tears. "I kind of hope it's a boy now." "I think it is." Eunha peered down, rubbing a hand over her growing bump. "I just have this feeling.." "I don't know. I feel like it's a girl." Hongjoong joined her, placing both hands to caress her stomach. "I can't wait to meet them."
San quickly grew tired of being cooped up in his room. He had several visitors, but ever since Mingi took away his pain relief he's been grouchy. His eyes eventually fell upon the journal Eunha had left for him. His curiosity grew and he grabbed it, reading a few of her first entries. Most were labeled with an emotion and others had the names of his brothers. He flipped through a few pages until he landed on one that had his name written at the top, much larger than the rest of the text. It was dated a few weeks before the incident with Hyunwoo, before he confessed. After he read it the first time, he couldn't stop. It only made him smile more, and surprisingly numbed his pain.
