nine;
03:19, 22 October 2025The two youngest vampire accompanied Eunha in the forest, each weaponed with a bow suited for them. They moved slow and quiet through the brush, careful of the fallen leaves beneath their feet. She was leading with Wooyoung following behind, and Jongho at the tail end. She suddenly halted their movements, putting the vampires on high alert. They picked up on the rabbit that hopped out of a patch of grass. But Eunha had her bow pulled back and released the arrow before the boys even sensed its presence. It made a loud squeak from the impact of being hit by the arrow but was hindered from escaping, succumbing to its injuries almost immediately. "How did you notice it before we did?" "You do this for fun. I learned for survival." Eunha stepped out of the brush and picked up the rabbit, removing the arrow from its limp, hanging body. Wooyoung and Jongho gave each other a glance before following her back to the horse. She tied the rabbit to its saddle, next to the carcass of a buck laid over the back of the horse. The November air was getting colder the closer the sun came to setting on the horizon. It was chilling enough for Hongjoong to force a cloak over her shoulders before he allowed them to leave. Once they arrived she was about to enter to main doors but Wooyoung stopped her. "Can we show you something before we head back inside?" Eunha stopped in her tracks and turned to face them, looking down slightly since she was on the stairs leading up to the entryway. They both had grins from ear-to-ear plastered on their face. "Yeah.. of course." She gave them a confused but suspicious look before following behind them around the side of the castle. They stopped near the edge of the forest, Wooyoung stepping towards a tree. He bent over to grab a large branch before drilling it into one of the trees, creating a bullseye in place as their target. Jongho raised his bow with an arrow ready to be fired. He steadied his form before releasing it, allowing it to soar through the air before jabbing into the bark of the tree. It landed a few centimeters away from the indent. Wooyoung stepped forward next and got into the stance he needed to, pulling back the string of the bow, arrow loaded. He let it fly moments later, hitting opposite of Jongho's but it was closer to the bullseye. "Not bad. You're both learning." Eunha reloaded her arrow before pulling it back, letting herself steady on her aim spot. When she let go, it joined the other two on the tree. But it hit dead center of the bullseye. She loaded another arrow and let it fly almost immediately. There was a loud snapping sound. Both vampires gawked at her, ushering over to find she had split her first arrow in half, the second one piercing into the head that was wedged further into the tree. "How the hell?!" She couldn't help but laugh at their responses. Wooyoung turned to the youngest vampire. "I bet I can do that before you can." "You can practice all you want, but you'll never be as good as me."
Now Playing:Sagittarius by Wooyoung of Ateez
After they returned their bows and Jongho hauled the deer inside, Eunha accompanied Wooyoung to return the black steed to its stall before they followed in the younger vampires footsteps. Only they bypassed the first floor and immediately headed for his room—more like Wooyoung dragging her there. "What the rush?" She giggled, watching him shut and lock his door. He turned and be-lined for the new hiding spot of his journal. "There's something I personally wanted to show you. It's not done yet, but it's about you." He fumbled around until he found it, hidden behind his vanity. He urged them to sit on the edge of his bed, opening it to his most recent page. "Do you want me to read it aloud?" Wooyoung shook his head. "No, it's okay. You don't have to." He sat in her lap, letting her hold it.
The truth I've been keeping in silence in the darkThe galaxy that has lost its brightnessNow your light is making changes In ways I never imagined
Every night I'll be your signYou're the reason why I ran through this long nightYou complete this viewLean into the universe traveling
It seems that this dark, fallen heartHas found its light againOnly when I am headed towards you
Eunha looked up once she was done, which allowed Wooyoung to add in what he hasn't wrote in. "No matter how many nights pass by, I'll stay here without a change, to be in touch with you. You're my life forever." "You have such a way with words.. a way I'll never understand. It's beautiful, Wooyoung. I love it... You could really be famous for this, you know." The vampire scoffed playfully. "I don't care about fame. Especially not when I have you.. and my amazing brothers." Eunha found his statement both heartwarming but also interesting, making her giggle. "I think it's sweet you call each other family... but doesn't that make it kind of.. weird that most of you also fuck each other?" "Some cultures just believe to keep it in the family." The vampire laughed at her gawking at his statement. "It's not weird because we aren't actually blood related." "But in a sense.. you do share blood." He gave her an irritated glance as he put away his journal, hiding it in a new place. "You do know San knows about them right?" "I was drunk and in desperate need for a fucking, get out!" Eunha giggled her way out of the pouting vampires room, making her way to her own. She passed San's on her way, an idea sparking in her mind. She didn't go in at first, taking the trip to her room first then returning to enter her saviors room. He was asleep in his bed, wrapped in bandages they have redressed every few hours. It had been four days since the incident. Even though she had re-broken her ribs in attempt to keep her child safe, as well as adding a giant bite to her arm. It was no where near as bad to what San looked like after it was over. Mingi never even got the chance to see the bite, let alone heal it. The baby's healing capabilities dealt with both it and her broken ribs. Hongjoong had called in the help of Hwanwoong and Soobin, as well as the others. He heard and felt his mate in danger, and didn't want to take any chances. No one was killed, but they were able to run the mysterious hybrids off. She grabbed the vampires hand, accidentally waking him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you. I just wanted to see how you're doing." San smiled up at her. He's been in and out of consciousness from the mushrooms Mingi has been feeding him; since wounds inflicted by hybrids are more severe and extremely painful. "I'm okay as long as you're okay." He noticed the book in her lap, peaking interest in it. "What do you have there?" "Oh!" She sat up and laid it on his bedside table. "It's my, uh.. it's my journal. My poetry journal. You can read it if you'd like, when you aren't drugged up." She tried to laugh with him but couldn't help but frown at his state, crawling into the bed next to him to lie her head on his chest. "San-ah... you could have died.. you look.. terrible." "I know. A dog's chew toy isn't my best look." His response was more to lighten the mood, but his loopy mind didn't take in account for her pregnancy hormones. A sob shook him out of his humor, wrapping her in his arms to instead comfort. "Fuck, darling. I'm sorry. I'm really okay. I promise. It didn't matter what was happening to me though, I couldn't bear what was running through my mind in that moment." Eunha gripped onto his shirt, the same she had done when she was terrified if they were going to make it out of there. She knows this is all Soojin. It has his name written all over it. "Eunha, baby. I'm okay. See? I'm just fine, I'm seeing pretty colors, and your face is all droopy." He pulled the human from wetting his chest with her tears, making her face him. "Are you calling me fat?!" "Actually don't listen to anything I'm saying. I'm sorry, darling. Blame Mingi for the mushrooms." He rubbed her back after her bringing to his chest again. He didn't feel any pain so he felt fine to move for the time being. It took her a moment of crying before she finally calmed down. "I just thought I was going to lose you." "I don't plan on going anywhere for a long time, darling."
