Attack on Titan: A Heart Full Of Love
02:16, 15 December 2018
It was another day in Attack High, except it wasn't just any ordinary day...today was the day for the Cultural festival! The cultural festival was basically everyone's dream day where anything can happen! There's buffets of delicious food that will cause your mouth to drool, there are events/shows so entertaining you won't have to be smart to understand them, and a time when you can close the gap between certain students and make room for some romance!
It was a special day that everyone loved and enjoyed! It was a special day when you are in school, but feel like your not at school. Get it? But anyway, a lot was going on this day. Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Sasha, Connie, and Jean grouped together to play a band in front of all the students today! They will be playing against the Titan's band-- basically it's a competitive event.
Kiyomi was currently with Christa and Annie dressed in a maid's uniform hosting a Coffee shop. I mean, on this nice and warm day, who wouldn't want to have a nice thing of coffee whether your hot or cold?
Kiyomi wasn't that sure about joining Christa and Annie in this, but the job was simple-- be kind, smile and serve coffee to the customers! That's all there is to it! Kiyomi eventually gave in to the idea and joined, much to Christa's glee. Annie, she was glad Kiyomi joined since she barely gets to hang out with the girl. But she never really talks to her or hangs out around Kiyomi very often since she is a bit shy. And Kiyomi being a little shy herself, kinda makes it harder for the two to form a friendship.
Kiyomi had her eyes open the whole time for Armin, Eren, and Mikasa. But to her disappointment, no matter how much time would pass, she never really spotted them. And they never really dropped by. But it would make sense, since the Cultural festival is pretty big and it's not like Kiyomi really ever told the trio about what she was going to do for the fest.
But despite her slight disappointment, it didn't wear down her mood. Honestly she was happy. Kiyomi loves festivals, and everyone else being in just as much of a excited and happy mood as she was, kept her spirits up high.
Often if she got a little too busy or bored while working and keeping their customers entertained, she would day dream about Armin coming on over, and how she would serve him the very best of their coffee in the shop, and she especially started to daydream if Armin would call her cute and ask her out, and then kiss her, and then hug her, and--and--!!
"Kiyomi?"
"Eh?" Kiyomi jerks her head and glances around frequently til she found Christa's crystal eyes boring into hers in what seemed to be concern. "Kiyomi are you alright? You looked like you were starting to stare off into space."
"Ah...sorry about that, Christa." Kiyomi giggled nervously before swiping a hand behind her neck sheepishly. Kiyomi didn't even think to realize that she was day dreaming that hard. "If you don't mind me asking, what was it you were perhaps thinking about?"
"Ah....um..."
Kiyomi immediately begins to panic inside her head when realizing the Christa was curious as to what exactly she was just daydreaming about. What was she going to say? Oh, I was just daydreaming about Armin and about serving him some of our delicious coffee, day dreaming about attacking him with kisses and hugs because I have a secret crush on him, and--and....Absolutely not!!
"N-N...uh..." Kiyomi was utterly speechless, not quite sure how to get herself out of this one. But then...an idea popped into her head. "I...was...thinking...about how much fun this is! Yeah...yeah, that's it!" This turned out being the worst idea in getting herself out of a pickle that she's ever thought and spoken of.
"Wait...Kiyomi, are you saying....that...your not having fun?" Christa's eyes looked hurt by Kiyomi's words. It was as if a dagger was pierced into the young girl's heart. This only caused Kiyomi to panic even more. Kiyomi often struggles in miscommunication with everyone except Armin. When it came to Armin, he had the ability to read her like a book.
"N-NO, NO, NO!! IT'S NOT-- NO!! I'M HAVING FUN!! LOTS AND LOTS OF FUN!!" Kiyomi squeals out, nearly screaming. She didn't want Christa to think that she wasn't having any fun. Truthfully she was having a whole lot of fun. She really was. But...she just sorta wished that she could spend it with Armin, Eren, and Mikasa as well. And....especially Armin.
"Oh really? I'm so glad!" Christa's hurt expression is immediately wiped off her face and is replaced with a happy and pure smile that only a goddess could give. "Kiyomi, why don't you try to quit daydreaming so much for just this one time? I mean, don't you do it enough during class?" Annie speaks up.
"W-Wait...do I really daydream that much in class?!" she squeals in astonishment. "Yes, you do. You do it all the time. Sometimes i even catch you drooling. And because of that I'm always trying to guess what you're exactly thinking about. You wouldn't....happen to be dreaming about a boy would you?"
CRAAAAAP!!! ANNIE HAS FIGURED ME OUT!!! I'M DOOOOOOOM!!!!!!
Kiyomi just couldn't calm herself the crap down from gaining a panic attack. But luckily, she calmed herself perfectly when a perfect little lie popped into her head. A smarter idea than the last she gave. This time instead of it being the truth, it was a lie. But it was a good lie. Because it would wind up saving her hide. For now, that is...
"I-I wasn't! I was daydreaming about....M-M...Mac and cheese..." She altered her eyes down to her feet as her face heated up in embarrassment. Everyone knows how much Kiyomi loves her Mac and Cheese. So Christa and Annie naturally fell for this.
"O-Oh? Mac and Cheese you say? Hm....I get it. I completely get it. because...I love cheesy meals as well." Annie admits with a blush and a nod.
Wait, Annie likes cheesy meals to?! I didn't know that!!
Kiyomi's mind exclaimed in the back of her head. The things you learn when you talk to people....you will never know if you actually have things in common unless you talk to them.
The girls soon gets back to work when they remember all the customers they had to serve. It honestly wasn't a very big crowd. Maybe at least five people. Most students were indulging their time in watching special event shows.
While Kiyomi is working, she hears a voice speak to her from behind. "K-Kiyomi, is that you?" Kiyomi turns around to nearly gasp when she was face to face with the person she wanted to see most. Armin! It was like a dream come true!
Armin was looking as cute as ever. He was in his white sleeve shirt, he wore black pants with some pair of gym shoes, and of course he had his blanky Bigbee hung around his neck like a hoodie. And yes, Armin gives nicknames to his blankets because they are special to him.
"Armin! It's great to see you! Would you like some Coffee?" Kiyomi offered while giving Armin the sweetest smile. Armin couldn't help but to blush upon her cuteness and he replies with a smile, "S-Sure."
Kiyomi went off to make Armin the very best Coffee she has ever fixed in her entire life. She was going to give Armin a cup of Coffee he would never forget! She had to make the most perfect the kind! The best the world has ever seen! The best Armin will have ever swallowed before!
"Armin, do I have to get onto you as well? We can't be wasting time at the Coffee shop. We have to get going to perform our band." Mikasa says to Armin, a little bit annoyed. The reason she was annoyed was most likely because Eren was just distracted with Annie, and Mikasa doesn't exactly like Annie since the two are having a love rival against each other since they both have a thing for good ol' Eren.
"H-Hold on, can't we wait for just a moment? You see, Kiyomi was--" Mikasa immediately grabs Armin by the wrist, not really caring what else had to say and she interrupts...
"Not now. We've worked so hard to get where we are now-- we need to go and perform, or everything Eren has worked for will have been in vain." That being said, Mikasa begins to drag Armin off without another care in the world.
"M-Mikasa, waaaaaait!" Cries Armin.
"Armin?!" Kiyomi finishes the cup of Coffee she fixed up especially for Armin. And now she sees Armin being dragged away by a monstrous beast--!! Oh wait, no. that's just Mikasa. But still, Kiyomi panics and begins to charge after her love with the Coffee in her hand.
"Oh, can I try some of that--" A student who had just stumbled into the shop was about to reach out for Kiyomi's Coffee, but she jerks it away without a single drip sliding out the cup, and she shoves the guy away before screaming as she vanished in sight....
"No way, this Coffee is special!!"
Christa and Annie are then left inside the Coffee shop all by themselves to keep the Coffee hungry customers satisfied. "Hm...Annie, I know Kiyomi just told us what she daydreams about is Mac and Cheese....but, do you think perhaps who she's always daydreaming about....is Armin?"
"Hm....you know what Christa, I think you just figured it out. Kiyomi thought she could fool us, but just wait when she gets back..." Annie begins to smirk. She has never teased Kiyomi before. And perhaps by teasing her, in a way, their bond can somewhat grow? Especially if she helps Kiyomi in winning Mr.Smarties butt! It was a possibility. And Annie was more than ready to take this chance.

"Mikasa, stooooop!!" Kiyomi screams. "At this rate, my very special cup of Coffee that I have fixed especially for Armin, will get cold!"
"Mikasa, stop!! This has gone far enough! If you don't stop for even a second, I'm dropping out of the band!" Upon hearing Eren's threat besides her, she stops in her tracks and Sasha exclaims...
"Eren, you can't actually be serious?! Drop out?! But today's the day! You can't possibly really mean that..."
"I do mean it." Eren's tone was as sturdy as stone, and was just as strong as metal. He meant what he said, and he said what he meant. Eren was 100% that he'd drop out if Mikasa wouldn't stop. And stopped, she did.
"B-But Eren..."
Mikasa' s hand had loosened enough around Armin's wrist, that he was able to run free and head on over to Kiyomi. But Kiyomi...she looked so sad, it was as if her pet bunny Fluffy had died.
Jean: HEY!! Thats MY pet bunny, narrator! Not Kiyomi's!!
But Jean, it fits with the situation and fits with how Kiyomi is feeling right now. The readers must know....
Jean: HOW DARE YOU!!!!
If you have read Attack on Titan Junior High Volume 3, Jean's little tantrum over Fluffy the Bunny may make a lot more sense to you. Fluffy the Bunny...R.I.P
Jean finally leaves off to his own little corner to cry and hug his knees while allowing the story to continue.
"The Coffee....I-I think it's gotten cold." Kiyomi whimpers. She almost felt that tears would release out of her eyes at any given moment. But she refused to shed them. But to her surprise, Armin takes the cup of Coffee from her hands.
"B-But Armin!" She begins to panic, but Armin reassures her that it would be fine. "Kiyomi, it's alright. You've gone through so much to not only make me this nice cup of coffee you worked heart and soul over, but brought it to me while chasing after Mikasa! And you didn't even spill a drop! I would be more than happy to try out your cup of Coffee! Hot or cold, I'm sure it will be just as delicious!"
With that being said, Armin brings the cup towards his lips before taking a sip out of it. Kiyomi grew tense and watched. She waited for Armin's reply as to how her Coffee was, and....
"It's delicious!" Armin smiled so sweetly and pure, he was an angel! His smile and satisfaction to Kiyomi's served Coffee was enough, to melt her heart along with her anxiety. "Armin....I'm so glad you enjoyed the Coffee!" She returns a smile happily.
The two just smiles at each other for several long moments which to most people, would seem a bit weird from how long their stares lasted, but eventually Kiyomi speaks up. "Armin, where are you and the others going anyways?"
"Oh, we are about to perform a band against the Titans! Its sorta like a competition. Competitive band playing." Armin explains. "Wait....you mean...? You mean that you...?"
"Yeah, that's right! I can play an instrument! I play the Bass Guitar!" Armin grabs out his Bass guitar, ready to play, but Eren stops him.
"Yo Armin, don't play right here, right now! We must play at the event!"
"Oh. Okay Eren." Armin swipes his gaze away from Eren and back to Kiyomi before bidding his farewell.
"I'm sorry Kiyomi, if we don't get going weir going to be late! Come on over to the band playing event if you want to catch us playing!" Armin waves before taking off with Eren, Mikasa, Sasha, Connie, and Jean to soon preform.
Kiyomi watched them leave and felt the urge to follow after. She would do anything to watch Armin play an instrument! But as soon as she took a step forward, a hand grabbed at her wrist, gently pulling her away. It was Christa!
"Come on, Kiyomi! Let's head back to the Coffee shop! We can't be getting distracted now, yeah?" Christa smiled angelically towards Kiyomi but she honestly felt nothing by her smile.
All she really felt was sadness upon the thought of unable to watch Armin preform, a d the guilt of wanting to leave Christa and Annie alone at the shop so she could attend some over event besides helping the girls off.
As Kiyomi did her part at the Coffee shop, the light that once bounced in her eyes had faded away. The smile that once smeared across her face was washed away. The energy that once coursed through the girl as she worked, had died down.
Both Christa and Annie noticed this change. They wondered to each other what it could be. What could been the cause of her sudden mood swing.
"Perhaps she's tired?" Considers Christa.
"Perhaps...she wants to watch Eren's band perform? Or rather, she wants to see Armin preform..."
Annie and Christa exchanges stares and a grin makes way up their faces, as they believe that they just solved the problem as to what was making Kiyomi so glum.
"Hey, Kiyomi." Kiyomi jerks her head over to the two girls to go give them her full attention. "Yes?"
"Kiyomi, do you want to leave to watch the others perform their band at that music competition?" Christa smiles.
"Ah...u-um..." Kiyomi wanted to admit the truth, but she didn't want to hurt Christa or Annie's feelings. But based on Christa's smile, it would appear that she still the very least, wouldn't be hurt by either answer she gave.
"Just fess up already. Admit that you want to go because you want to watch your crush perform." Annie crosses her arms together.
"H-Huh?!?! C-C-Crush?!" Kiyomi nearly squealed out in both shock and surprise. "Don't act clueless-- we know. It's Armin, right? Your always so glued to him! I'm honestly surprised you even agreed to help us out at this Cafe." Annie spills out.
"Aw, it's because she's just too nice, Annie." Smiles Christa. "Yeah, too nice like you." Annie rolls her eyes, a little annoyed. "But Kiyomi, if you really want to go...go! We won't stop you from having fun! Just do what your heart tells you!" Christa advises Kiyomi optimistically.
"R-Really? So...it's okay?"
"Why, of course it is, silly! Don't worry about us and have fun!" Christa cheers. "O-Okay! T-Thank you!" Kiyomi dips her head in gratitude before hurrying off for the music event.
"She didn't deny the fact that she's crushing on Armin." Annie points out to Christa as they watched Kiyomi hurry off.
"Yeah, your right. Oh...I totally ship it already!"
____________________________________________________________________________
Kiyomi, after a lot of running and map browsing, finally made it to the show. And she made it just in time before the event would begin!
There was both a man and woman who entered on stage with two microphones and started to thank everyone for coming, and to enjoy the show!
"Phew, I made it just in time!" Kiyomi sighs in relief. After having made it, she tried her best to squeeze through the crowd to make it up front to watch her friends play up close.
Soon enough, after a bunch of applause for the two who appeared on stage to thank everyone for coming, they left stage and the room darkened to the point you could see nothing.
Excitement surged through Kiyomi's body, a feeling of thrill inside of her. She couldn't wait to watch! Eventually after a few moments, the lights flashed on, focused on what lied on stage.
On stage was Armin, Eren, Mikasa, Sasha, Connie, and Jean! To start things off, Connie began to blam his sticks smack into the drum set he had propped up, and the others followed along with their own instruments!
Kiyomi had eyes on all her friends, but over time her eyes remains fixed onto Armin as he played his Bass Guitar. He looked so cool, confident, and seemed to be having as much fun as the audience!
Kiyomi had no idea Armin knew how to play an guitar. She'd have to ask him about it later. He and the others in Kiyomi's eyes, were amazing!
Eventually to end things off, Armin slides towards the edge of the stage and gives his Bass Guitar one final majestic strum before the crowd grew wild!
Kiyomi had happened, before arriving here to witness this convert, Hannah and Franz! They were chilling at a booth giving away free flowers! And when they saw Kiyomi happening by, they couldn't help but to give her one.
Kiyomi decides to toss her white and beautiful flower over to Armin. He catches it in the nick of time, and when he realizes the one who tossed over the flower was Kiyomi, a huge blush made way onto his face!
After Eren's band left stage, the Titans stomped right in. They gave a violent and most ear piercing concert that the humans would never forget! But it was so loud and crazy, it damaged some students hearing so badly, they actually lost their hearing!
But the Titans in the crowd loved it, and applauded so loud, the damage in everyone's hearing worsened. Once the Titan band made way off stage, the man and woman who originally first appeared on stage before the event would begin made way onto the stage once more and they wanted to know from the audience's perspective, who they liked more.
A few raised a hand for the Titans, but even the Titans had to raise just as many of their hands as the humans did for Eren's band! They were after all, completely amazing in their performance!
So in the end,the band that won the competitive concert event was Eren's band! When announced that their team won, everyone bursted into more cheers, and with a big grin, Kiyomi clapped for her friends.
Eventually the crowd began to disperse, and Kiyomi was able to make way to Armin. "Armin, you were awesome! You were so amazing!" Kiyomi bursted in excitement. "R-Really? You think so? Thanks!" Armin smiled sheepishly.
"Kiyomi, I saw you tossing Armin that flower." Eren winked at Kiyomi. She blushes in return. "So, um...Armin, how long have you been playing the guitar?" Kiyomi decided to ask Armin curiously. He must have for years, for he did an outstanding job on performing today.
"Just a few weeks, actually." Armin admitted a little shyly. "W-Wait....in just a week!?!?!" Kiyomi was astonished. She could never learn how to master an instrument in such short amount of time!
"Well you played really well! I'm surprised you've only been playing for a short while. I actually thought you've been playing for years, that's how good your music was." Kiyomi blushes a smile.
"R-Really? D-Do you really think I did that great?" Armin was a little taken back by Kiyomi's kind words, he couldn't have imagined that he would been complimented on his instrument playing this much!
"Uh-Huh! A-And maybe...only if you want to, you can perhaps teach me how to play? I've sorta always been interested in string instruments. But trying on my own, I never could figure it out."
"Of course! I'll do my best to teach you how to play a Bass Guitar instrument to the best of my ability! And by chance, do you still have a instrument in your possession?"
"N-No....my family donated it." Kiyomi sobbed sadly. "I-Is that so? Well, once I get my hands on enough money, I can buy you one to teach you with if you'd like." Armin offers. But Armin's offer only causes Kiyomi to jump in a panic as her eyes grows ten times their natural size.
"W-Whaaat?! T-That's crazy! A-Are you sure?"
"Of course I'm sure! It's no problem, I think we both would have a lot of fun!" Armin smiles. "Alright then! It's decided! Hee, hee!" So from there on, Armin after a while of waiting and money earning from doing good deeds for his fellow neighbors, earned enough to go out with Kiyomi to a instrument store in town, to buy her, her very own Bass Guitar.
Kiyomi picks out a white and blue Bass Guitar that had a image of a flower painted across it. It was both a very beautiful design in both image and color. Kiyomi thanks Armin over five times, before they left to his how to start practicing.
When Kiyomi came over, for the first time, she met Armin's grandfather! He seemed so friendly and nice, he seemed like an easy one to go and talk to about anything, really. "Ah, I see you finally found yourself a girlfriend Armin!"
Armin's grandfather smiles, happy that his grandson had finally found himself a girl! "G-Grandpa, s-she's not my girlfriend!!" Armin nearly shrieked in pure embarrassment. Kiyomi couldn't help but to giggle, she found Armin's embarrassment kind of cute.
After awhile, Armin brought Kiyomi into his room to practice Bass Guitar playing with her. Armin's room was very nice and neat, compared to other boys rooms. Most of the time guys seem to always make their room so messy, it's like you're walking over a ton of spiky objects lied about in the room like a cave full of traps!
Armin teaches Kiyomi the basics and the two had a lot of fun. Never did Kiyomi ever think that music would help her and Armin become closer. It took Kiyomi a little longer than it took for Armin to learn how to master the Bass Guitar. Kiyomi was always a quick learner, but despite that, it took her time. Learning to both play and master an instrument is afterall, something you can't accomplish overnight.
But over time, Kiyomi grew to get better at playing the Bass Guitar, to the point in Armin's ears, it sounded perfect. "Wow, you've really gotten better. I'm not quite sure if there's really anything else I can teach you now." Armin chuckled.
"Aw, really? I'm sure you can teach me at least one other thing! Even if it's just tricks!" Kiyomi pleaded. Deep inside she feared, if she completely mastered the Bass Guitar that Armin may stop inviting her over and they might not be able to hang out anymore.
"Hm...well, there is playing a guitar behind your back." Mentions Armin. "Oh! Let me try!" Kiyomi begins to attempt playing her Bass Guitar from behind her back, but it was easier said than done. She continuously kept dropping the guitar from behind her on accident, her fingers kept slipping, and she was basically becoming the definition of a screw up.
Eventually Kiyomi gives up when she gets way too frustrated with her constant failures. But Armin simply watched in amusement and giggled. Over time, Kiyomi eventually lets out a sigh, as her frustration and anger dissipates. It was impossible for her to stay angry whenever Armin was around.
"So....is this it? Are you not going to invite me over anymore?"
"What? Unless you want me to. Just because you have mastered the Bass Guitar doesn't mean you can't hang out anymore. I actually have a lot of fun having you over. It's been fun. Usually I just have Eren and Mikasa who visits every once in awhile. So this....is kinda nice."
"Then....maybe we could start playing songs together? Like...in sync?" Kiyomi picks at her brain and a great idea pops right on out. "Of course!" Armin smiles, delighted.
The two thinks up a song both likes and knows the rhythm to, and they begin to play together along with singing out the words. Armin's grandfather was just outside the door and smiled in happiness. He was happy that Armin was making some more friends and inviting them over. Making friends is a good thing. Plus, this girl might just become Armin's girlfriend one day. It was at least, Armin's grandfather's wish. And it was also Kiyomi's as well.
Eventually as more and more time passed, Kiyomi decided to be brave and to confess her true feelings to Armin. Especially since he didn't seem to be going to say anything anytime soon. She had to tell Armin how she felt. Especially before Armin might come across another girl in his life. This is the best and rightest time for her to tell him.
Kiyomi was nervous, thinking she might screw up on telling him. Confessing feelings of love to your crush can be a difficult thing to do. And so was singing and instrument playing. In the beginning Kiyomi had no idea as to how to play an instrument. But with Armin's guidance, it became easy for her to do so. And at first, singing was the hardest for her to do. She was always scared and nervous of others hearing her. But with Armin, he was able to ease away her fear, and it came easy to sing whenever she was alone with him.
Because of Armin, she became much stronger, much braver. She wasn't the scaredy cat she once felt she was. She felt more confident in herself, and it was all because of him. Armin was the student Kiyomi had a crush on, almost ever since she even first met him. But now, her feelings have grown much stronger. The time she spent with Armin was very meaningful to her. And she didn't want Armin to just know that she loves him. She also wants to tell him about the big impact he has made on her life.
So Kiyomi ends up writing her own love song for Armin. It took her two nights to decide which of her several written love songs to sing to him. She eventually picked one and asked to see Armin the following night that day at School. He agrees, and it became a plan.
In Kiyomi's love poem that she would sing to Armin, had her feelings of love in the words. But besides that, she wrote how she was grateful to Armin and how he's made such a impact on her life and how he means the world to her.
Eventually the night came and she went on over to Armin's house. He should definitely be home. He should be expecting her. She rings the doorbell, and the one who greeted her first was Armin's grandpa, who was very happy to see her.
She greets him with a smile like always, but Armin's grandpa could tell something was up when he was able to sense the nervousness in both her expression and tone. "Are you finally going to be asking out my son?" He raised the question.
Before answering Kiyomi glanced about in the living room they were standing in to make sure that they were alone, and when she saw no Armin, she answered with a smile....
"Yes!"
Kiyomi approaches Armin's door to his room and she knocks three times. "Armin? I'm here!" she calls. "Coming!" she could hear Armin's voice echo from behind the door. After a few seconds of waiting, Armin opens up the door, greets her and welcomes her in.
"Want to play a song like usual? I can see you brought over your guitar." Smiles Armin sweetly. This was the usual the two always did. Kiyomi would come on over to Armin's house, and always the two would agree on a song to play on the guitar, as well as sing it. But this time was different.
"Well....no. not yet. First, can I play you a song?"
"Of course." Armin agrees to Kiyomi's request. Kiyomi tries to calm herself a little before strumming her fingers against the guitar strings and she begins to sing her own written song to Armin.
Armin listened to her beautiful voice, and Kiyomi was so nervous the whole song. Her fingers would sweat and twitch in nervousness, and her face heated up red. Breathing became a little difficult, but she remained as calm as she could be, and sung her song all the way through.
By the end of the song, Armin got the message and his face himself was heated red. Silence filled the room, and Kiyomi had feared that Armin had perhaps turned her down. But then, out of nowhere, she found Armin smack in front of her face! He gently presses his lips against hers, and she returns the kiss.
For awhile the two would be kissing, but eventually they had to step back for some air. "I...I love you too, Kiyomi. I wanted to tell you for a long time, but...I was always scared that you may reject me. I'm glad we feel the same."
And from that day on, the two were a couple. For awhile they kept it a secret between themselves and their parents. But one day, the students at Attack High including Eren and Mikasa learned of their special relationship, and they became the School's most cutest couple. Once they graduated from Attack High, they soon married and lived happily ever after, the end.
The End
