Attack on Titan: The battle at the Castel

A lot has happened since my first expedition outside the walls. We found the Female Titan within our walls, and her true identity was no other than one of my 104th friends, Annie leonhart.

Some time later there was a rumor that wall Rose had fallen and there were Titans barging in.

I helped and used my Titan killing skills to the best of my ability to do my part in battle, but also to protect my friends and comrades.

Some battles were incredibly tough and at times hope seemed lost and I just wanted to give up.

But I can't give up. Not when we have come so close.

So I keep fighting till the bitter end.

I spent a night with Nanaba, Gelgar, Christa, Reiner, Bertholdt and Ymir at a castle.

We were tired and needed rest, so we would sleep there and take turns keeping watch.

Eventually there was shaking that felt like an earthquake that scared me awake and I saw everyone running up the steps, hurrying to the top of the castle, so I followed them.

Once we reached the top, we saw a herd of Titans charging towards us, and they started attacking the castle.

Did they want to destroy the castle?!

Fear immediately took over me and I felt myself fall to my knees.

“H-hey! Are you ok? Get back up! Com’on, Kiyomi!” Connie shouted at me, trying to get me back in the spirit to stand.

But how? We don't stand a chance….this might be where we die…

While I was losing hope I looked up ahead and so did everyone else, and there, we saw a giant ape-like Titan walking from afar. It was huge!

But suddenly it started to slowly pick up giant pieces of rocks, and it started tossing it at our castel, further damaging it.

Nanaba and Gelgar thus unsheathed their blades and told us to sit back and everything would be fine and this is how things get done.

After a while of watching and doing nothing, a light appeared and I found myself being able to stand again.

“K-Kiyomi?” Spoke Connie.

I found myself unsheathing my blades and I jumped off the castel and started helping out Nanaba and Gelgar before making my way towards the Beast titan.

“Hey, hey, hey!! What does she think she's doing?! She's gonna get herself killed!!” Shouted Connie.

“What does she think she's doing?! Playing the Tragic hero?” Ymir didn't seem happy. Both Connie and Ymir was worried.

“Ah...so you don't just care for only Christa, do you Ymir?” Said Reiner.

“O-Of course not, don't be stupid.” Denies Ymir.

I don't think I can beat this Titan. Not at all. It really wasn't so long ago I was a trannie. It wasn't all that long ago I just went out on my first expedition too.

After my first expedition I hurt myself real badly, having gotten myself hit by one of the Female titan’s swing from her arm.

But luckily, it was nothing too serious. And my injury seems to be healing swiftly.

I won't be able to beat the Beast Titan. No matter what, I can't see myself being able to do that much. I'm not like Levi or Mike. They have had years of experience, not me. I don't have as much experience as they do.

But….I want to protect my friends and comrades...and I want to see Armin once more. So I have to try. Even if I die trying. I have to.

So I fought the beast Titan, slicing up it's arms and right when I was about to get his nape...a Titan grabbed me, but luckily I sliced my way out of its grasp and managed to get away from the two and started to head back to the castle.

I was so low on gas...I don't think I'm going to even make it back.

Suddenly just as I feared, my gas ran out and I found myself falling.

As I fell, I screamed but luckily I was close enough to the castle, Reiner managed to grab my wrist and pull me back up.

“That was way too damn close!” Says Connie.

I couldn't say anything back, I simply just huffed and puffed on my knees, trying to catch my breath.

“Hm...you were smart to flee. There was no reason to fight to the death against that ape Titan. If you really did try killing it, you'd be

dead.” Ymir states.

I know…but still, I can't help but had to do it. Besides, if this castel got anymore damaged than it already is, it would have collapsed by now.

I was snapped out of my thoughts however when I heard ear piercing screams.

I looked down below the castle and saw Gelgar and Nanaba getting torn limb by limb by Titans.

Nanaba began screaming that she was sorry to her “daddy” and that she would be a “good girl” from now on but her screams ended upon being bitten Down.

Connie let's out a loud curse right after, feeling helpless, not being able to do anything.

Great sadness swelled in me and I felt tears trying to make their way out my eyes, but with sadness, there also laid anger and I placed my foot on the edge of the castel to jump down,

but…

“Hey, what do you think your doing!?” Reiner shouted at me, grabbing my arm real tightly and pulling me down.

“Did you forget your out of gas?! And either way, it's already too late to save them!”

Reiner was right...it was too late. Tears streamed down right after.

I couldn't save them…

“They didn't die just so you could be a hero. Don't use their deaths as an excuse to commit suicide!”

W-what?! Ymir!! Since when did I want to ever commit…?!

Hm...she is right about one thing though. I can't just jump down and fight those Titans just because they died. If I were to, I would likely be killed too and their deaths would had been in vain.

A bit later though, I overheard Ymir saying how she wanted a knife and if Connie had one on him.

He said yeah and asked why she wanted it, and Ymir responded, saying it was for nothing much but she wanted to give the Titans a little hell.

Before that, she told Christa to live a life that she can be proud of and right after, she jumped off the castel.

Christa screamed and reached out for her but suddenly there was harsh light and a small explosion and I found myself falling backwards and hitting my head against the ground.

It hurt….

I slowly sat back up and saw Connie, Christa, Reiner and Bertolt watching something below the castle.

Their faces had an expression of horror.

I joined them, and I saw a Titan tearing apart other Titan's.

“I-is that...Ymir?” Speaks Christa.

In the end we found out that Ymir had the ability to shapeshift into a Titan, like Eren and Annie and she seemed to be hiding this from everyone.

The scouts arrived and we're able to help defeated the rest of the Titans. And in the middle of all of this, the Beast Titan seemed to had escaped. It was an abnormal...but wise. Could that Titan be another one of the shapeshifters?

When Ymir was pulled out of her Titan, Christa revealed her real name to her.

Her real name was not Christa...but Historia.
