The kiss was a wake up, Amerie could see now. Alice was the one, she still loved Alice.

"Awww" Amerie heard.

Both teenagers turned their heads to the noise.

"Mom! Knock next time" Amerie groaned

"The door was open, and I saw you two kissing and decided to watch. It was a very long kiss, but you two can continue eating each other's faces. Also I'm making pasta, Travis will be home from practice in time for dinner. Alice you're more then welcome to stay" Taylor smiled

"I'll have to check if I'm allowed, I don't see why not though" Alice smiled

"I'll leave you two love birds to snog each other while I make dinner" Taylor chuckled walking away from Amerie's room

"She gets on my nerves a lot" Amerie sighed

"Most mom's are embarrassing. My adoptive moms already are." Alice smiled

"I'm happy you found a good family" Amerie smiled

"Thank you. And I feel confident about myself in front of them. I don't have to be in the closet, because they're lesbians, so I get to be gay as fuck" Alice joked.

"But what about the autism, the ADHD?" Amerie asked

"Maya is ADHD so she's totally cool with it, Carina she's not, but she's really supportive." Alice said

"Have you spoke much to them. About me?" Amerie asked

"They know about you, but they don't know your mom is Taylor. Or any details that could lead to them knowing that. I promise I only said I had a hot as fuck girlfriend who I had to leave and it made me super depressed, and it's so cool they let me swear. I can say fuck so many times and won't get in trouble. They swear so much to, they can't have a conversation without saying fuck more then five times." Alice rambled

"They sound nice" Amerie smiled

"They really are" Alice nodded

"TAYLOR, AMERIE I'M HOME" Travis announced

"My dad's here" Amerie said

"You call him dad?" Alice asked

"Yeah. They got married, don't say anything they haven't announced it to the public." Amerie said

"Congratulations to them. They seem happy, you seem happy. Are you? Are they happy?" Alice ranted

"They're happy. I'm happy with them too, but it's strange we're more fixed in one place now. It's more like a family, and if mom needs to go anywhere I stay here, go to school." Amerie said

"School, which school?" Alice asked

"Some private school with a ridiculous long name that I can't pronounce." Amerie chuckled

"Public school. They gave me options with schools I said no to private and this area is full of private schools, so I have to catch two busses" Alice sighed

"Maybe I can move school and catch two busses with you" Amerie smiled

"I don't think your mom would let you go to a public school, people know who you are and private schools there's more rich kids, celebrity kids all of that. It's expected to be some child of a pop star or billionaire to attend" Alice said

"Yeah I guess" Amerie sighed

"Girls, dinner is ready. You must be Alice, I don't believe we have met. I'm Travis, Taylor's err husband." Travis greets

"Don't worry I know you two are married I won't say anything till you announce it. I won't even talk about it." Alice said

"Thank you." Travis smiled

The three of them made their way down stairs into the dining room.

"Since when do we eat dinner here?" Amerie asked she was so used to just eating on the couch or at seats in the kitchen.

"We have a guest over" Taylor said

"Alice won't care if we eat like slobs" Amerie sighed

"Amerie we are eating here now sit and eat" Travis said

"Fine" Amerie groaned pulling out the chair. She began to stab her pasta with the fork.

"So Alice what's your new family like?" Taylor asked

"Good, they're really nice and supportive" Alice smiled

"That's great. Amerie can you eat please." Taylor said

"I don't like the sauce" Amerie shrugged

"You haven't tried it yet" Travis pointed out

Amerie shrugged and fell back into her chair, trying new foods was not on her agenda today.

"There's some plain pasta in the pot, but can you at least have some of the salad with it" Taylor said

"Fine" Amerie mumbled grabbing a new bowl and dishing up some plain pasta and placing some salad in the bowl.

Dinner was awkward, Amerie stayed quiet while Alice answered Travis' and Taylor's questions.

Amerie could sense something, Alice was never this good with questions or speaking in fact she hated questions and felt pressured by them. Amerie realised Alice was masking, but why. She had never masked in front of her or her mother, is it Travis? Is she not comfortable with Travis.

Amerie shook her thoughts away and sighed clearing away her bowl.

"Let me get that Ri-Ri" Taylor said taking the dish.

"Thanks.." Amerie sighed

"No need to thank me" Taylor smiled

"Okay" Amerie nodded

"You've seemed off today. Are you okay?" Taylor asked

"Yeah. I just I don't know if I want to date Alice again. After Riley and the things he did to me, it put me in a bad place. I just don't think I'm ready for dating again. I don't understand how anyone could love me or want to date me" Amerie sighed

"Hey. None of that. You are so loveable Amerie. You're gorgeous, kind, caring and a lovely person to be around. One day you will find someone who will be the one, the one you marry, the one you start a family with. I promise you, happy endings do come it just takes time searching for them." Taylor smiled pulling Amerie into a hug

"Thank you." Amerie nodded.

"I love you, my sweet girl." Taylor whispered into Amerie's ear

"I love you too" Amerie smiled
