Chapter 24- Crying

MACKENZIE

Bluey started crying and as usual I didn't know what to do so I did what I did last time, I hugged her cuz for some reason it kinda worked last time.

" Thanks " she said softly.

" It's cool " I replied.

" I'm sorry for yelling at you Kenzie " she apologized

Yes! Kenzie is back

" It's fine " I replied " do you wanna talk about it? " I asked.

" Not really " she replied.

Of course she doesn't wanna talk about it. Idiot.

We then arrived at another stop. Where Indy got on. She walked over to us and saw Bluey and I. She probably didn't want to interrupt us so she we went back to look for another seat. Bluey didn't even realize that Indy had gotten on the bus.

I don't even know what to say to her. She obviously doesn't want to talk about the incident and I don't know what we should talk about. I have to get the situation out of Bluey's mind. Somehow.

RUSTY

It's kinda hard to digest everything Makenzie said. Honey and I rarely talked but still, she's still my friend. When Mackenzie left I kept thinking of how Honey's probably feeling right now.

We got to Indy's stop and she got on. I hope she's feeling alright.

Mackenzie has been over there for a long time

Then I saw Indy come back and sat beside me.

Probably cuz Mackenzie and Bluey are sharing a special moment.

Indy looks very sad.

Of course she is, her friend got dognapped.

She didn't even look at me, she just kept staring at the ceiling clenching tightly to her bagI decided to break the silence and start a conversation with her." Hey Indy "

" Hi... Rusty " she replied still not looking at me.

This is such a nice conversation

Now what should I say.

" Uhh, I know you don't want me near you, so I'll leave as soon as we get down " she said still not looking at me.

What makes her think I don't want her near me.Probably cuz I was kinda angry at her.

" Indy, that's not true " I said.

" Don't worry we're almost at school, I'll be gone soon " she said.

Is she not listening to me

" Indy listen to me, that's not true, I really want yo- "

" Oh we're here, goodbye Rusty " she said as she got off the bus.

Not once did she even look at me. She probably hates me.I got off the bus and went to class.

I just realized that Jack hasn't shown up yet. I wonder where he is.

Then Mackenzie came back.

" Hey dude " I said.

" Hey " he replied " where's Jack? " He asked while looking around.

" I have no idea, probably running late " I replied.

Then our homeroom teacher, whatever her name is showed up.

I barely even listen to anything she says. That whole thing about ' being one family ' yeah I don't think so.You can't date your family member. Duhh.

At this point I don't even know why I'm in school. I don't need to be smart if I want to join the Army. All I need is to be strong and fast and the ability to not die easily. Also I need to know how to use a gun.I don't need school.

Anyways,

Mrs Homeroom teacher lady came in and started talking about stuff.

Something about what happened on Friday. About Jack being hit in the head. I still don't know how that happened. She also talked about Honey being dognapped. I still don't know how that happened. And also how Bluey smashed Indy's trophy. I still don't know how that happened.

At this point I'm thinking, was I even at school on Friday?

She said some stuff like we should all look out for anything that relates to Honey's whereabouts. She said the police are on the case. I hope.

If I ever find those idiots who dognapped her. I'LL KILL THEM.I'm dead serious.I'mma kill them with my bare hands.

Mrs Homeroom teacher lady left at some point after talking about a bunch of other boring stuff.

Then we had Physics class, so we had to go to the lab.

I don't even know why I'm doing physics. Like how will that even help me. Am I supposed to calculate the trajectory of how to throw a grenade.

Anyways we went to the physics lab. Mackenzie decided that he was going to sit with Bluey.

He's so in love with her but he wouldn't admit it.

I saw Indy sitting all the way at the back, alone.

Let's try this again

I went to sit with her. She probably thinks I hate her, I have to make sure she understands that I don't hate her. " Hey Indy "

" Oh... don't worry I'll find another place to sit. I'll leave you alone " she replied.

How does that even make sense, I'm trying to be friendly but she's trying to avoid me.

WHY?

" Indy, for the last time, I don't want you to leave. I want you to stay with me " I said sounding like some desperate weirdo.

" Really? " She asked.

" Yes " I replied. " Even if you don't want to go out with me, can we still like hangout, maybe? " I ask

" Yeah, of course " she says as she smiles.

It's nice that she's finally happy. I hope the smile on her face lasts longer.

" So what now? " She asked.

How the hell am I supposed to know.

" Uhh, do you want to hangout after school? " I asked nervously.Why am I even nervous. I'm a freaking Soldier.

" Yeah, I'd love to " she said while smiling.

Indy and I continued to talk about random things. I tried my best to get her mind off of everything that was happening to Honey. Not like I don't care about Honey, it's just, Indy continuous crying won't help in any way so it's better for her to stop thinking about it.

After a while Jack walked in. I wonder where he has been the whole time.
