Chapter 8 - You forgot

NARRATOR'S POV

NEXT DAY

Bluey and Indy strategized while Honey began to work on the project. The others had not been informed about the science fair so the girls had a greater chance.

" Ok, so how exactly do we destroy other people's project? " Indy asked Bluey.

" We'll have to do it on Friday, when everyone's project is ready, that way they can't make any changes " Bluey replied.

" Yeah, that makes sense " Indy replied.

They heard the bell ring signifying that lunch break was over. They went back to their class.

" Students, I have an important announcement, you guys are having a science fair on Friday so that means you have two days to work on your project " She paused because of the mumbling and grumbling she was hearing." Is there a problem? " She asked.

" Nothing major but it's just that how are we supposed to complete a project in two days? " Lucky asked.

" Well, that's you guys problem, I'm not the one who makes the rules " She paused and looked at the paper in her hands. " You'll also be competing with other classes- " she got interrupted by the students who continued to grumble. " I know, you're surprised, but like I said before, I don't make the rules but you guys have to follow them " she then looked at the paper again. " Well, the grand prize is a Trophy and a coupon for a fifty percent off of one mega tub of ice cream. Isn't that wonderful "

" Fifty percent off?, For a competition on such short notice shouldn't they make it hundred percent off " Lucky suggested.

" Stop complaining, anyway, I've got good news " She paused and waited for the students response but she didn't receive any so she continued " This project accounts for ten percent of your grade so take it seriously "

" What! " Lucky exclaimed.

" What is it now Lucky? " Mrs Samantha asked.

" Ten percent of our grade, for a project that we have to complete in two days, that's ridiculous " Lucky complained.

" I don't make the rules " Mrs Samantha replied sternly. " Anyway you won't have any more classes today, so you can work on your projects. You can also partner up if you want to " She concluded.

" Ok I'm leaving, if you need supplies you can go to the lost and found, it has some really cool stuff so go check it out, bye " Mrs Samantha said as she exited the classroom.

Indy, Bluey and Honey went to their usual spot ( Behind the school ) to sit and talk.

" Honey, do you need anything? " Bluey asked.

" No, not right now " Honey replied.

" Ok, just asking " Bluey replied.

Rusty approached them.

" Hey guys, what are you doing here? " He asked.

" We're just working on our projects " Bluey replied

" Oh, ok. Indy remember to meet me after school " Rusty said.

" Why? " Indy asked.

" Don't tell me you forgot? " Rusty asked.

" Forgot what? " Indy asked.

" You forgot. " Rusty said.

" Indy you're date " Bluey said

" Oh my gosh...oh no...I'm so sorry " Indy said after realizing that she totally forgot about her date.

" It's ok, we'll still have a good time " Rusty said.

" Umm...Rusty... I'm not... going with you, sorry " Indy said

" What, why? " Rusty asked

" umm...I have to umm...do something...uhh- " Indy got interrupted

" She has to complete the project " Bluey said.

" But you could just do it tomorrow " Rusty insisted.

" Yeah...no cuz I'm Honey's partner...and...w-we have to work at school " Indy lied.

" So you're bailing on me " Rusty said sounding disappointed.

" N-no... Rusty, that's not it, it's just..." Indy tried to explain but Rusty didn't let her.

" Whatever " Rusty said as he walked away.

Indy wanted to go after him but she knew that would just complicate things. She didn't want Rusty involved with whatever nightmare was doing so she decided to let it go.

" Indy, it's gonna be ok " Bluey tried to comfort her.

" Yeah, He might be angry now but he'll come around " Honey added.

" Yeah, I know " Indy said trying to hold back her tears.

Rusty went back to meet Jack, Mackenzie and Lucky.Lucky was getting equipment from the lost and found to use to construct his project.Mackenzie was on his phone while Jack was listening to music.

Jack noticed that Rusty wasn't happy so he went to meet him.

" Hey Rusty, are you ok? " Jack asked.

" Yeah, I'm good " Rusty replied.

" No you're not " Lucky said.

" What are you talking about? " Jack asked Lucky.

" Nothing really, it's just that Rusty is not ok " Lucky replied.

" What makes you think that? " Rusty asked.

" Well, you're supposed to be going on a date with Indy today, after the teacher left we came here to the lost and found but you didn't so I assumed you went to meet Indy but now you're coming back here looking sad so I think she rejected you, but it's just an assumption, not like it's really what happened. " Lucky concluded.

" How did you figure that out? " Rusty asked.

" I just guessed " Lucky replied.

" Is that what happened? " Mackenzie asked.

" Yeah " Rusty admitted.

A lot of time went by and some students decided to work on their projects while some decided to slack off. School was over and the students went to the school bus.

Indy, Bluey and Honey decided to sit at the far end of the bus. While Rusty sat with Jack at the front far away from the girls because he was avoiding Indy.

Lucky and Mackenzie sat behind Jack and Rusty.

Chloe and Coco sat in front of the girls.

The rest of the seats were occupied by other students.

The students chatted with each other before arriving to their destinations.

Lucky and Bluey departed from the rest and they waved goodbye to each other then walked into their various houses.

Well, this chapter didn't have much but I still wrote it.It might not be interesting but the next chapter will be better. Shout-out to FluffyUwUFurry .If you haven't read his/her story, go read it now, it's about Bluey and her friends who went to Chloe's cottage for a fun night but instead got attacked by psychos (I think).
