Chapter 6 - Nightmare

The next day

BLUEY

I went downstairs to eat Breakfast, I had to pretend that nothing happened.

" Morning sweetie " Mum said as she passed me my Breakfast.

" Good morning mum " I said

" You seem off today, are you ok " she asked.

" I'm fine, just a little tired " I said trying to cover up the fact that I am terrified to death by some guy who knows everything about me.

" Well anyway, I contacted the school board to ask if the school bus was taking you back home, and it is. But I'll have to take you to school again so go get ready " she said

" Ok " I replied.

At school

MACKENZIE

I saw Bluey standing outside the school like she was waiting for someone.

" Hey Bluey, who are you waiting for? " I asked.

" I'm waiting for Jean luc, I've looked everywhere and I can't find him " She replied sounding worried.

Of course, it just has to be Jean luc.

" He might just be running late, there's no need to worry about him " I said

" Umm Mackenzie, do you have Jean luc's phone number? " She asked.

Why does she need his number.

" No, sorry " I said

" Ok " she said as she continued to wait, checking her phone every second for the time.

She's acting really strange.

" Bluey, maybe you should go inside, class is about to start " I said.

" No thanks I have to wait for Jean luc " She said sounding more concerned.

" Is something wrong? " I asked.

" N-no... Everything...is fine " she said like she was about to cry.

" Are you sure, you seem like you're about to cry " I said pointing out the fact that her eyes are watery.

" WELL MAYBE BECAUSE I'M ABOUT TO HAVE A MENTAL BREAKDOWN, AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO, OK " she said as she started crying.

At that point I had no idea what to do, I had no idea what she was even talking about. Then I hugged her cause that's the only I could do.

" Bluey, you can tell me what's wrong " I said trying to comfort her.

She calmed down for a bit then said " so... Yesterday... I was at home and then I got a te- " she couldn't finish her sentence because she was interrupted by someone yelling

" BLUUUUEEEEEYYYYY " we both turned around and saw it was Indy.

Why was she yelling.

" Bluey come with me right now, I need your help " she said as she literally dragged Bluey out of my arms.

" Indy, Bluey and I were talking " I said as I attempted to stop her.

" I need her more than you do " she said as she took Bluey away.

There was nothing I could do because Bluey allowed it.

BLUEY

Indy took me behind the school where no one usually goes.

It was weird cuz just yesterday she didn't want to talk to me or to anyone but now she just dragged me away from Mackenzie.

She looked around then sighed." That was close " she said.

" Indy, what are we doing here and what do you need my help for? " I asked.

" I don't actually need your help, I was just saving your life " she said.

" Saving my life? " I questioned.

" You can't let him know " she said.

" Know what? " I asked

" About everything, about nightmare, about his stupid text, about his dum rules, about his crimes, about his murders about everything he has done " she said as she took in a deep breath.

I was shocked, really shocked.How did Indy find out about nightmare.

" You know nightmare? " I asked

" Yeah, he texted me yesterday. He told me all about how he knew my entire life. he's the reason I've been acting weird, he's also the reason I'm not going on a date with Rusty. " She said.

" Wow, just wow " I said back cuz I was speechless.

" Yep you're not the only one stuck in this mess " she said.

" Indy, what do you mean by he's rules, crimes and murders? " I asked.

" Surprised you don't know " she paused another deep breath " I disagreed with him when he told me to cancel my date then he threatened me, I told him that I would call the cops, he said that would be stupid, I told him that I wouldn't listen to what he has to say...then he told me everything " she finished.

" Everything? " I asked.

" Everything. He said I was the second player of his game but didn't tell me who was the first. He said people had died because they refused to obey his rules. Rule number one is to do exactly what he says. Rule number two, don't tell anyone anything about his game. That's all the rules he has told me, he says I'll find out the rest later. " She concluded.

" That was a lot to take in " I said.

" I know " she said

" Hold up... How did you know I was about to tell Mackenzie everything? " I asked.

" Huh " she said like she didn't understand what I said.

" How did you know that I knew nightmare? "

" Oh, well today he texted me and told me that a new player had joined the game but he didn't tell me who, so when I saw you outside, you looked really worried and you were on your phone, I decided to study your movements and then you started crying and just when you were about to tell Mackenzie I swooped in and stopped you. " She said.

" Wait, what if I didn't know nightmare and was about to tell Mackenzie a completely different thing " I said

" Well, it would be a huge risk but, if I mentioned nightmare and his murders and crimes you'll think I've gone crazy or I'm playing a stupid game so I tried my luck. " She said.

" oh that makes sense, well what now? " I asked

" We go back to class and wait for his tasks " she said.

" What tasks? " I asked.

" Oh I forgot to tell you about that, he's gonna be giving us tasks, the more tasks we complete the better our chances of staying alive " she said

" Great, just great " I said sarcastically.

" Don't worry, we're in this together " she said comforting me.

" Wait, what Happened to Jean luc? " I asked.

" What, I have no idea, is he ok? " she asked.

" I don't know, nightmare said he 'took care of him' something about ' can't have any witnesses ', I'm scared I don't want anything to happen to him " I said.

" Ok, umm... he's gonna be ok, we're gonna get through this " she said " c'mon let's get to class, we're already late " she said as we both walked to our class.

I hope Jean luc's ok.

Well, I actually wanted to make it a love story but I had no plot ( Mackenzie and Jean luc fight for Bluey's love, then what? ) So instead I made it kinda mysterious and scary ( I actually have no idea how to write a scary story ).I hope you enjoyVote and comment <3
