Chapter 5

LUCAS P. O. V.

Time flows like water and a month of my vacation was over... I did something crazy in my life but get to know a interesting girl because of that.. She was like a serendipity to me.. Because of her everything that happened in this one month was like a dream ..

I never imagined I would forget about all the shits  happening in my life and enjoy my vacation in a way I never did before..it was fun.. Everytime  I meet her..

I feel happy.. I want to stay a bit longer.. I want to know more about her... We become pretty close in this one month to the level I told her about my past.. Even I was surprised at myself ..

I never told them to anyone before well.. She always made feel different from how I feel around others.. I wanted to see her before I came back here... I was  contemplated  whether should I meet or not..

I felt like. I would  feel Worse parting from her if I met her but at the same time I want to see her.. I usually don't  get  confused over something like this... All these are new to me.. I finally went to meet her and she talked to me happily and like I thought.. I didn't wanted to part from her but I dragged myself out of her house and came back.

It been two days since I came back here and I again got filled with that emptiness.. It's like everything  that  happened with her was a  dream that I had  to escape  from my reality..

Now that I woke up from that.. Well.. Reality sucks..but I wanted to do something useful other than complaining about my situation so I started writing songs.. Thanks to her I can wrote songs at ease now.. the new things I experienced  made my  dead feelings  born again ..

When I finished writing a full song cabel barged in my room and whined to me  to accompain him and I had no choice but to go with him.. I don't want him to whine for hours..

He was really a persistent jerk... He said his girlfriend was at the pub and wants to see her and made me drive all the way.. But I drove fast because it was the place where she lives.. The thought of  seeing  her  made me excited.. We reached  the pub after my silly mistake.

we went inside and searched for them. That's when I saw almost all the guys in the pub  looked  towards  the bar counter once in a while and commented something..

I turned towards it and saw a blonde haired girl sitting on the counter.. I walked a bit closer and saw her face... It was sia.. She was sitting and chatting with another  girl smiling happily.

Wait.. That girl.. I called cabel and he confirmed me it was his girlfriend helena.. So they know each other..? Is she the one she talked about? Her childhood friend?.. Wow.. Now everything feels like a fictional  story now... her friend and my friend are dating ..? Haah .. Is this what they call fate..? Cabel  said we should  wait a bit and allow them to spend  thier own time and we Sat down.

We Sat down near the other side of the counter and I saw so many boys trying to hit in her but she shooed them away like it was her daily routine... I felt a bit pissed..

Did these idiots never saw a pretty girl before..? there was so many girls here.. Why they are only hitting on her..?  That's when I noticed.. She was wearing a short black dress and she was beautiful... And  sexy..? She should stop wearing dresses making here look hot.. Well.. she looks hot whatever she wore.. Why she is so beautiful.. ?  I snapped out of my train of  thoughts when Cabel talked to me.

"are you surprised..? To see your women here?" he asked teasing me.

"what are you blabbering..? My women..? She is... My friend" I told him in a strict tone.. 'What if this lunatic said  this in front of her..? '

"aren't you happy to see her here..? I was really shocked to know you slept with a girl then I felt relieved when I knew it was athy.. If it was any other girl, You are doomed dude.. I was also happy that you finally took interest in a girl for the first time.. I was worried that idiotic media guys  will start the next rumour saying you are a gay.. God.. That was the last thing I want to hear in my life.. But you... Can't you speak a bit more..? I feel like I spent all  my life energy  to make you tell the full Story when I asked you "

Cabel blabbered on and on but he stopped when he notice a guy approaching sia.. He placed his hand on her shoulder and I got pissed off in an instant.. I was about to get up but I saw her sliding  down his hand and glared at him.

I was surprised to this side of her.. She was not at all like the lovely girl I know... She looked fearless and strong. I Sat back and continued to watch her.. That bastard talked some  shits and I wanted to beat the hell  out of him.. I saw her sitting unfazed still glaring at him. She gave a mocking reply to him which made the other girls giggle.

That pest suddenly pulled her hand and made her stood from her seat.. Me and cabel stood up from our seat in frustration..

Should I just kill him..? Why pests like him are being alive  in the first place ..? Just to increase the  country's population?.. But I kinda want to watch what she will do next.. so I didn't step forward.. Cause I know she won't cry or give in.. She pulled her hand out finally after using all her strength that must have hurt.. I should silently kill him.. She slapped him hard on his cheek... Wow.. She was so cool.. Pfft.. Sia... The more I came to know about you... the more I like you.. He throwed a glass at her but she dodged it effortlessly.. She made him run away in embarrassment and Sat back in her seat.

"wow... Isn't she so cool.." cabel asked gasping looking at her.

"yeah she is"

I told him looking at her. She looked upset... To be exact.. Bored or pissed about what happened.. We started walking towards them, she said something to helena in a low voice but helena  didn't listened to her cause she saw is and waved her hand to us.. she  finally looked at  us still with a irritating face but as soon as she saw me she gave a lovely  smile

At that time.. I felt that again...A warm feeling which filled  my  empty heart ... It was only you... who made me feel like this..

As I went near her she got up from Her chair but my hands caught her from falling even before I realise it myself.. like they  know she would fall .. when did my body started acting instinctive of her..? I wondered. She don't  look well.. Is she tired..? She looked up and said hii with that loving smile of hers..

"Hii... Are you okay..? "

I asked her.. There was this  uncomfortable  feeling when I saw her not in her usual cheery mood.. It pestered  me until she become normal.. Like  if she was sad I was the one getting hurt..

-end of lucas p.o.v-

"I am okay lucas.. I guess I was  surprised  to see you again and tripped.. Hehe.. " she said smiling sheepishly.

Lucas looked at her for a moment and sighed. Helena noticed  the way he look at her  and grinned.

"hi lucas..."she said walking two steps forward.. Lucas turned and looked at her and gave a small  smile.

" hello.. "he said slightly bowing.

" wow.. You finally talked to me huh..? I really have so much to talk with you for stealing my best friend from me.. but for now.. let's get going" she  said grinning. But lucas felt like she was mad at him..he gulped and nodded his head. '

"let's get going.." athy said to helena and they came outside and started walking.

"guys.. Where is your car..?" helly asked them.

" that... We parked it in front of Athy's house.." cabel said smiling sheepishly and lucas turned his face away from them.

"huh.. Why..?" helly asked confused.

"lucas drove to athy's house instead of pub and even parked it  so we just left our car and walked here" cabel shrugged.

"did you thought we were home?" athy asked lucas who was still looking the other side.

"but I told cabel we were sitting in the pub when he called me.. May be he drove their out of habit.. " helly said staring   at lucas smiling a little bit pissed  off , he didn't replied back and gave a small  smile .

"is that so..?" athy asked titling her head looking at lucas in eyes. He turned away and mumbled..

"no.. It's.."  he didn't finish the sentence ' I forgot we are going  to the pub and went to her house instead  in excitement to meet her... It's waste using excuse when it was so obvious right..?' he thought  and sighed giving up and stood there  with blank face.

'Pfft... So cute.. He can't think of a simple lie and deny what  helly said  ?.. He is so straightforward' she thought and giggled.  He gave a slight smile looking at her giggling.

Cabel and  helena looked at them with a smile and they started walking ahead hand in hand chatting.. Lucas and athy walked behind them. he slowed  his pace because athy was walking slowly. 'is she tired?' he glanced at her from  time to time  then  he then noticed her hand.

He suddenly pulled her close to him by her waist and she looked at him wide eyed in surprise slightly blushing.. 'wh... What is he doing..?  My heart is going crazy.. My face must have been so red right now.. thank God he was not looking at me.. What is he looking at.. Huh.?.. My wrist..? '

He gently hold her wrist  and looked  at it with a serious face.. There was  finger traces  of that guy   in her wrist ..

' she was so fragile that his fingers left a trace on her hand.. But she acted brave and defended herself  not   minding the fact  she was weak.. Impressive.. 'he thought and looked up to see her looking at him confused.

"are you okay.. Is it hurt..?" he asked in a low voice.

"it hurt a bit back then but now I am alright.. don't worry"

she smiled at him. He slowly nodded his head still looking at her wrist. He had an urge to find that jerk and kill him at the very moment. He then realised he was holding her waist and suddenly  backed off.

"I ..I am sorry" he said looking away.

"it's ok.. why are  you  always asking sorry and... for worrying about me.. Thank you lucas.. " she told him smiling. He smiled at her and they almost reached their house.

'he was walking slowly because of me right?  Just like always.. He was silently taking care of me.. But I feel sad and happy at the same time.. I want to told him to go ahead but I also want to walk beside him slowly like this..why  I get so selfish when it comes to him.. 'she thought and sighed.

"I am sorry lucas because of me you are walking slowly.. You can go ahead I will come after you" she told him scratching her nape.

"its OK I usually don't  walk fast" he said looking front   at the road.

' did he forgot  I know how fast he  can walk...? huh..? He was lying now.. For me..? To walk with me..? Pfft... I feel a bit happy now' she thought and smiled.

"huh...its felix and lily." lucas said as he saw felix and lily standing outside athy's house talking with  helly and cabel.

"huh.. what are they doing here  now..? they said they are coming tomorrow .."

athy mumbled.. suddenly her head felt dizzy and  her vision slowly blurred. When they walked near them lily saw her walking slowly  with her eyes  half closed and called her  name worried..

"thy... Athy..." her hearing faded slowly and she can feel  that she  was losing consciousness and  slowly falling down the last thing she saw before she fully lost her consciousness was a pair of red eyes and just like that she fainted.

Lucas caught her on time. Others ran towards them worried.

Oh my God... Athy.. Wake up.. What happen to her suddenly? "helena panicked.

"she may have fallen  asleep after drinking she looked exhausted " lucas said .

"no lucas.. that was not cocktail.. it was just  plain orange juice she didn't drink any alcohol today.. And she was not  the type to fell asleep suddenly like this.." helena said in a worried tone  and everyone got panicked.

"what...? So  she fainted..? " lucas asked looking at her.

"let's take her to the hospital..  she survived a terrifying accident not long ago... I am so scared.. felix let's go.. right now" lily told felix panicking and he consoled her.

"yeah.. let's go.. don't worry.. nothing will happen to her.. Lucas get in the car with athy .. " felix  said as he ran  towards the car rushing to open the door . Felix Sat on the  driver  seat and lily Sat beside him in front . Lucas walked fast and carefully entered the car still carrying athy. Cabel and helena take thier car and followed them.
