8. Proving Myself

Felt like updating so here ya go! Some fluff ahead between Kakashi and Akina.

We were on the boat as Tazuna was telling us about Gato and his men.

I zoned out. After we left Konoha, everything happened almost exactly to the anime. The two nin attacked us, Naruto froze as the rest of us fought, Sasuke teased Naruto, he hurt himself yadda yadda yadda.

It was extremely boring but now I was shivering up in excitement for we would be facing Zabuza Momochi and Haku. I wanted to save them and I had a perfect plan for it. Sasuke would also get his sharingan and those two will still be alive.

The boat stopped as we made our way on the deck.

"Wait a minute." I stopped everyone.

I started whispering to them. "The ex Kiri nin, Zabuza Momochi is waiting to ambush us. He is one of the members of the Seven Swordsman and has Kubikiribocho a famous sword with him which he uses to behead enemies. Be careful sensei. You might need to use your sharingan."

"How do you know this?" Kakashi asked me icily.

I winced. From their point of view I must be looking like a traitor.

I raised my hands up. "Kakashi sensei I will inform the Hokage and you of everything. But I'm not a traitor to Konoha. It's for the best."

He stared at me for a few moments analyzing me.

I felt horrible. He was bound to get suspicious but the doubt hurt me.

"I trust her." Sasuke spoke up. Sakura whirled around to face him.

"How can you?! It's as if she knows what's going to happen like all the times before. It's as if she knows the future."

Sakura and Sasuke glared at each other as Naruto looked confused at what's happening.

I let out a small smile and nodded towards Kakashi sensei as Sakura talked about the future.

His single eye widened as he stared at me even harder. I squirmed under his intense gaze.

After a moment he spoke up. "Akina chan will explain everything later. For now just trust your comrade and be on high alert." He walked forward, his shoulders tensed.

Sakura shot me a look filled with suspicion before she went to Tazuna. Naruto followed her. Sasuke and I walked together.

Naruto threw a kunai into the bushes and I took out Black Nightmare. Sasuke took out his kunai glancing around him.

"Get down!" Kakashi shouted as we all ducked.

Zabuza was standing on his sword which was wedged into a tree.

"Your genin are very perceptive.. Kakashi of the sharingan." He praised.

"Especially the one with Black Nightmare in her hands. That's a legendary sword. I thought Daichi Uchiha had it unless-"

I snarled at him. "Yes I'm his daughter now fuck off."

He let out a booming laugh. "So it's true. He and his Senju wife died. My apologies child. But now hand over the old man and we'll let you live."

"Never!" Naruto shouted as he ran forward to face Zabuza. Kakashi put out his hand to stop him.

"Naruto, get back. This ninja is on a different level from you guys. Looks like I'll be needing this then." Kakashi said as he uncovered his sharingan.

Zabuza smirked. "So I get to see the sharingan in action hm? Well I'm deeply flattered." At this the Uchiha grimaced.

I spoke up. "Zabuza san, your entrance is very cool, I admit it. But maybe if you actually turn around and talk to us we might be more afraid. Right now all we can see is your ass and your bare back." Sasuke looked like he wanted to kill me. Naruto and Kakashi looked like they were actually contemplating it.

Sakura walked over to me and hit me. "You baka! You want to get us killed?"

I hissed in pain. "I can't help cracking jokes in a dangerous situation. It's my defense mechanism."

Zabuza let out a huge laugh. "I like you brat. You got spunk. Maybe I'll consider making you my apprentice after all this is over."

Kakashi stood in front of me protectively. "She's my student."

Holy fuck. I'm yours daddy.

I paused as my thoughts finally sunk in. Perhaps it's not a great idea lusting over your teacher in the middle of the battle.

I became flustered. Sakura touched my forehead.

"You are ill!" She whisper shouted. I shook my head.

In the meantime Sasuke finished giving a lecture to Naruto about the sharingan.

"Team 7 get into manji formation. Protect the bridge builder at all costs!"

I stood in my place. "Sensei, I will fight him first. Then once I fail take over."

Kakashi glared at me. "Get back! He's too dangerous. Stay out of this fight."

I looked at him. "We will pass sensei. Trust me on this. It's my intuition."

Zabuza looked at me. "It'll be an honor to fight the little one. She's already earned my respect after all."

I frowned. "When and how?"

Kakashi stared at me. "Once I see you injured, I'm taking over." I nodded.

Zabuza smirked. "That's a story if you live. Now looks like I'll have to get through both of you first huh?"

Zabuza grabbed his sword and ran towards me, fast. I picked up my black sword and blocked his attack with it as our swords clashed with a big bang. We struggled to overpower each other.

"My kenjutsu might not be the best, but the Uchihas are well known for their skills with swords."

"You are a formidable opponent, even though you are young. Just what I'd expect from your father."

We both jumped back as I started doing hand signs. I can't use fire against him as he was a water user. But I can use earth.

"Earth Style: Earth Spike!" I shouted as I slammed my palms on the ground.

Zabuza jumped up as soon as a spike appeared below him.

I continued to raise the spikes in height as multiple ones appeared around him in the air. I grinned as one of the spikes hit him but scowled as he disappeared in a pool of water.

Suddenly the mist around us thickened and I swore loudly.

"Sensei, you take care of him now. I won't be able to see anything in the mist." I said.

I was powerful no doubt, but I knew when to give up. I wasn't looking forward to being a sheeshkebab this early in my life when I had loads to do.

His voice resonated from everywhere. "Giving up so easily?"

I scoffed. "When you realize what I'm doing you will be shocked. Sensei, I know you can do this." I shunshined from my place to a nearby tree and concentrated to feel any chakra natures on any tree.

Bingo! Found you, Haku. He was on the other side, watching the match happening below us carefully. I shunshined over there as I raised my kunai at him.

"Hello Haku." I smiled.

He let out some KI seep through him and it vanished as soon as it appeared.

"How do you know who I am?" He asked quietly.

"I have my ways." He lunged at me with his senbon as I dodged his attacks from all sides. I was totally on the defensive. We were exchanging taijutsu punches and kicks with each other and he jumped to the ground. I lunged after him doing hand signs.

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"

He jumped into the air. Both of us were air born now.

I did another set of hand signs.

"Wood Style: Ankle Trap!" The branches around him bent to my will as they tried to capture him. He dodged them as he kept on jumping here and there. One of my branches caught ankle and flung him towards the battle field. He turned in mid air as he saw Kakashi escaped from the trap. They were now having the final face off. He threw the senbon at Zabuza and it hit his pressure point with perfect accuracy.

I widened my eyes impressed as I ran behind him.

Zabuza fell on the ground 'dead' as Haku ran towards him, picked him up and disappeared into the forest. I took in the scene around me.

"Akina chan! Kakashi sensei!"Naruto ran towards us.

"W-what happened? Are you fine? Who was that boy and where did Zabuza go?!" Sakura questioned me and Kakashi non stop. Kakashi looked at me.

"I'm fine sensei. I was defeating one of his partners." I held my arms out. "You can faint now."

He didn't need to be told twice. Before completely passing out he muttered something.

"Akina chan is the temporary leader of the mission while I'm unconscious."

"W- what! Why me!!" I struggled against his weight.

"S-Sasuke help me." I said panting slightly due to exertion.

He came up to me. "Akina are you hurt anywhere?" He asked as he checked my face and scanned my body for wounds.

"No. Naruto make 5 kage bunshins to carry sensei. Sakura and Sasuke, you both guard Tazuna. Be on high alert."

They did as followed. I turned to face Tazuna.

"Please lead the way to your house, Tazuna san. I'm the team captain for now while sensei is unconscious."

He nodded mutely as we started walking in a heavy silence. Everyone was shocked at the battle which had commenced in front of them.

"He's alive. We will have to face him once more." Sasuke spoke up.

I nodded. "They will take a week to recover. We must train in that time and become stronger."

"Let's stop here and take a breather for now. Sakura, attend to Sasuke and Naruto's wounds. I'll have a talk with Tazuna." Team 7 collapsed on the ground as they started to eat and drink water.

"Tazuna san. I know you are scared. But we will not let anything happen to you or your family. Please trust us." I told him earnestly. He nodded, the tremors in his body disappearing as he thanked me. We walked back to Team 7.

Sakura got up troubled. "I healed them." She looked scared.

"Good. Now to answer your question, the nin I was fighting was Zabuza's apprentice. I was stronger than him and so he retreated once he saw they were losing. They will come back after a week." I informed them.

"We will be ready for him dattebayo!" Naruto said with a determined face. I nodded and smiled.

"Hn. Let's get walking."

Sakura stuck rooted to her spot. I walked towards her. "What's wrong?" I put my hand on her shoulder.

She pushed it away as she glared at me. "Why didn't you kill the apprentice when you had the chance? You let him go! You are a traitor. You knew this was going to happen yet you still made us face him! We almost died. Are our lives some kind of joke to you Akina?!" Sakura stopped her rant glaring at me.

"Sakura chan!" Naruto shouted horrified that his team mates were fighting.

Sasuke looked stunned.

I sighed keeping an emotionless facade on. "Are you done? I wouldn't expect any of you to understand my situation. Focus on the mission."

Sakura looked like she was going to punch me. I needed to reach Tazuna's house soon before I fainted due to blood loss.

Haku had scratched my stomach deeply with his senbon and other places. I obviously returned the favor to him on his arm instead.

A tense silence had covered us while we were walking. A couple of weak ninjas were waiting in the trees for us as we neared Tazuna's home. Unfortunately for them, they were standing on trees.

"Sasuke, if anything happens to me, you are the Team Leader. But as my order as long as sensei and I are both out, do NOT leave the house." I spoke up. I created 3 mokuton bunshins and sent them ahead.

"What are you talking about?" His voice had hardened.

"There are a couple of low leveled ninjas waiting for us. I sent bunshins to.... dispose them."

Sakura flinched and Sasuke's gaze wavered. They understood my hidden meaning.

Naruto nodded his head. "Okay!" I snorted. He didn't understand.

We reached Tazuna's house and I sighed in relief.

The introductions got over as Tsunami fussed over us and I felt dizzy and nauseous as black spots danced in my vision.

"Naruto. I'm going to faint in 3... 2..."

"Sakura chan!" Naruto screamed frantically.

"....1" I whispered as I fell backwards. The last thing I saw and heard before I blacked out was Sasuke staring at me worry etched onto his face.

"You overdid yourself, usuratonkachi."

Time skip

"- she wake up?"

"I don't know sensei, but it should be today or tomorrow. Her stomach, chest and other areas had deep scratches on them."

"What happened after I was knocked out?"

I groaned as I got up, cracking my fingers as I did so. I yawned at them as I opened my eyes. I was half awake half dead right now.

"Akina chan! You are awake." A little blonde ball full of energy attacked me with hugs.

I patted his back and chuckled. "I'm not going to die so easily, so push that fear out of your minds."

My vision slowly cleared as I saw Sasuke looking away from me, his fist clenched.

Not even a greeting? I frowned. I thought we were making progress.

"Akina chan! I'm so so so sorry to accuse and doubt you of being a traitor. I'm really ashamed of myself. I'll do anything to make it up to you. It's my promise which I'll never break." Sakura apologized continuously as she bowed her head.

"Sakura, it's okay. You all were terrified at the shinobi world and I kept from secrets from you guys as well which I'll explain later. I'll keep you to your offer though. I'll call on it one day." Sakura smiled relieved.

I clapped my hands together. "Now can you guys excuse us? I need to talk to Kakashi sensei personally."

Sasuke left the room last, banging the door on the way out. I winced.

"You might want to talk to him. He's acting more broody than usual. I don't know if I can handle more of his attitude." Kakashi said giving me a smile.

I laughed. "Sensei, you were the same when you were younger."

Kakashi looked at me. "Explain. I can't take more of your intuitions and lucky guesses."

I sighed.

Flashback to when Team 7 got the escort Mission

"Hokage sama?" I called for him.

"What is it, Akina chan?"

"I want to inform you about a couple of things. First, Sasuke will get his sharingan. Second, depending on how this mission goes we might get two new recruits. Lastly, I would like to request a meeting with a group of certain individuals namely Yamanaka Inoichi, Nara Shikaku, Akimichi Choza, Hatake Kakashi, Sarutobi Asuma, Yuhi Kurenai and your ANBU named Tenzo who can use wood style and you as well."

The Hokage looked absolutely shocked for a moment before he masked his emotions. "And why is that?"

"To explain how I know all this."

The Hokage nodded his head. "I understand. As soon as your team comes back I will ask them for a meeting. But may I ask why these particular individuals?"

I slightly flushed wondering if this was a good idea. But what's done is done right?

"Because they are vital to the future as I will explain once I'm back."

The Hokage nodded, not entirely convinced as my kage bunshin disappeared.

Part 1:98% complete

Flashback over

"Well, I suppose I can tell you but without Yamanaka Inoichi here to look into my mind, I doubt you'd believe me."

"I'll believe you. Now start."

And I explained everything. How I died and was reborn into this world, I became the daughter of two exceptional shinobi, how I was aware from a young age at what was happening around me and how I knew what was going to happen.

I left out the part where they were in an anime/manga and my conversation with Death. No one would be happy to know they are entertainment for teens in another world right? However, I didn't tell him about any upcoming incidents.

Kakashi's face was a beautiful massacre of emotions. Shock and doubt were the main emotions.

There was a long period of uncomfortable silence.

"So you are telling me that.... you were reborn into this world which you knew about already? And you know the past, present and future of our world?"

I admit, that sounded like a load of bull.

"Well, yes I know your whole past. But if I change things right now in the present then things in the future will change as well. I'm trying to stick to the main highlights so that everything happens according to what I know and I can also save everyone."

Kakashi took a moment for it to sink in. "Prove it so that I can believe you."

I smiled. "Obito Uchiha and Rin Nohara were your team mates. Namikaze Minato is your sensei who is also Naruto's father. Minato san married Kushina Uzumaki former 9 tails Jinchuriki of Konoha. What else?"

Kakashi asked me quick questions and I answered them all. He asked a few personal questions as well which I couldn't answer.

"Who was my dad?"

"Sakumo Hatake."

"Who was my mother?"

"... I don't know."

"Tell me about my childhood."

"You became genin at age 5 and were promoted to chunin at age 6. You were considered a prodigy in your class and you had a lot of fangirls much like Sasuke. Obito is a lot like Naruto in the sense that they both have the dream of being the Hokage. Rin and Sakura are both interested in medicine. I must say sensei, we are a duplicate of that team." I smiled sadly.

"To- Obito gave you his sharingan as your Jonin gift. Later Rin committed suicide by jumping in the line of your chidori earning you the nickname of Friend Killer. Your sensei and his wife died in the 9 tails attack and when you were really young your father had committed suicide as well. You were all alone and you joined the ANBU. Gai sensei, Kurenai sensei, Asuma sensei and others brought you out of your cold shell."

Kakashi winced slightly. I got up and hugged him.

"I'm sorry sensei. I shouldn't have said that. But I am sorry about your childhood."

He put his arms around me as he breathed heavily. He rested his chin on the top of my head.

He finally spoke. "I believe you. I know you will do good in this world by helping people with your... knowledge and intuitions. I trust that you will protect everyone."

A big smile broke out on my face as I blinked back tears forming in my eyes.

"Sensei.. Thank you for trusting me. I might be young but I'll try my best. That's why I am telling a few of you about my knowledge. I can't do it alone."

I felt happy. I slowly started seeing Kakashi as my father and started to slowly forgive myself for my parents as Sasuke knocked some sense into me.

After the heartwarming embrace (I'm pretty sure he was crying coz I felt drops hit my head) we got up. I slightly winced at my reflection in the mirror. My brownish red hair was a mess and my clothes...

"WHERE ARE MY CLOTHES?! WHY AM I NOT WEARING ANYTHING EXCEPT BANDAGES! SAKURAA!!!" My face was a bight red. Kakashi saw me like this. I hugged him LIKE THIS!

She's dead.

How was this chapter? It feels like forever since I updated this story even though its been 5 days or something. Im going crazy thinking of amazing ideas and plot holes for Shippuden.

Yeah, its gonna be lit and probably leave you guys with heart ache. I've already decided how to end things but I still have to write so so much before that.

Q: Do you want Akina to join the Akatsuki?

I already have plans for her, but just wanted to ask you guys.

The author can be pretty evil.
