Ouch

It's been 2 months since the Birthday party things have been okay but very different you aren't spending the same amount of time with Pietro you previously had been but that is mainly because of the beautiful blonde he has been dating for a month her name is Destiny, he likes her and seems to be happy you're overjoyed for him if not a little disappointed that your kind of losing your friend but if he's happy so are you.

You and Bucky are good but you're keeping your distance talking and joking in group settings but keeping one to one contact to a minimum it's better that way.

"All avengers to the conference room immediately" Friday announces over the intercom system

ou walk into the conference room and take a seat beside Sam and have Natasha on the other side once she arrives.

"So why are we all here," you ask flashing a smile at steve who is standing in front of us

"We're all heading to Germany" he discloses

"Oh how nice a family vacation" Clint jokes

"We have received intel about a large hydra base where ita believed they are experimenting on individuals as well as possibly creating nuclear weapons" Tony put forth whilst showing images of the supposed base on the screen

"Brilliant that sounds super fun," Natasha remarks sarcastically

"Go get yourselves ready for take off we leave in 20 minutes" Steve declares before letting us all leave

"Kid I need you in the lab before we go I have a surprise for you" Tony informs you leading the way to his lab

"Well what is stark," you ask inquisitively

"You my little firecracker have a new suit, this one is flame retardant which regretfully it should have been from the beginning,  it's lightweight flexible breathable, it has some holsters for your guns and knives, you can blast flames from your hands but you insist on carrying weapons so I've facilitated that" "Well kid do you like it"

"I love it" you jump up before swinging your arms around Tony and giving him the tightest hug. You grab the suit running to your room to put it on before the mission.

You've put your suit on it hugs to every curve, hair tied in a ponytail before braiding it you look amazing now your all good to go, ready to kick some hydra ass.

"Well Holy hell look at the dragon in her suit" Natasha shouts taking your hand and making you twirl around

"You look beautiful" wanda states "the hydra agents will be as distracted as our boys make them easier to take out" wanda whispers in your ear and giggles

Steve lets out a cough "ready for take off"

Tony and Clint are piloting the jet

"We arrive in 5 let's go over the plan" Steve has us all gathered around "Tony, Sam you guys are our eyes in the skies, Clint you will be positioned on the surround taking out agents from a distance Pietro and wanda I want you both outside the base wiping out back up as it arrives" Piet gives a salute in understanding "myself Natasha Y/N and Bucky will go in remove any issues gather intel then we light that place up" "everyone understands" he finishes

"Loud and clear," we say in unison

The sound of battle bellows in your ears you've all made it in everyone outside did an awesome job covering you.

"Let the party begin" you affirm and as if by magic agents start rolling out from all angles.You're all kicking ass

"You think we might have cleared this area out" Natasha remarks looking at the tremendous number of bodies that lie on the floor

We move along an agent lunges at you from your left you grab your blade from your holster and stab him in the throat, You tackle many more agents as you make your way to the command centre to gather data.

Natasha Steve and Bucky have nearly reached the command centre when you spot a room bathed in blue light,"Guys I think I've found something" you state over your comm

"Don't do anything stupid Y/L/N I'm coming back to you" Bucky replies with concern in his voice

You push the door open inside the room are 2 cryogenic pods inside them are kids who look no older than 10, you approach them feeling sick to your stomach, as you get closer you hear a voice exhuming from the pods "destruction initiated 2 minutes remaining"

"Y/N" you hear bucky say you turn to look at him a tear rolling your cheek before you feel a sharp pain in your side *oh fuck I've been shot* you turn in the direction of the bullet to see a Weasley looking man with glasses holding a gun before he has a chance to fire again bucky has taken him out.

You reach your hand down to your wound pressing your hot hand on it to melt the flesh to stop the bleeding

"What did you do" bucky questions rushing to your side

"It's fine I'm fine we need to go" you reassure him

"We've got all we need" Natasha informs us as we all run towards the building

"Y/L/N light this place up" Tony orders over your comm

And with that trying to ignore the pain that rolls through your body you are encapsulated in flames before sending it forth to engulf the whole building

"Brilliant as always," Natasha remarks as you all make way to the jet

You sit down squirming in your seat the pain from your wound somewhat unbearable.

"You OK sweetie" wanda asks as she sits down beside you

"No, she isn't" bucky pipes up "she got shot and rather than waiting until we got to the jet for it to be dealt with she melted her flesh over it the bullet is still in there it wasn't a through and through"

You throw daggers his way "it's fine I am fine a little tender but I'll be all good once I get home" you reply with a faint smile.

Back at last you bolt off the jet before anyone else and head for your room grabbing a first aid kit some antiseptic fluid and vodka on your way

You get inside closing your door and removing your suit to get a better look at your wound you grab one of your blades and douce it in the antiseptic fluid you push the blade in to give you access to the bullet when the door opens

"What the fuck are you doing Y/L/N" Bucky exclaims

"What does it look like" you reply sarcastically

"Friday call Natasha to Y/N room immediately" bucky requests of the AI

"Yes Mr Barnes she is on her way" Friday replies

You're holding gauze to your bleeding wound

You hear Natasha running

"What's going on," she asks then casts her eyes on what you are doing 'Jesus Christ little bird you don't need to do these things yourself anymore that's why Tony has doctors here" She states as she rushes over to your side

"It's fine I don't need a doctor I can fix it myself if you guys would just leave me alone" you respond

"You have 2 options kid either you walk down to the medical bay yourself or I get Barnes to carry you down kicking and screaming" Natasha affirms in a stern voice

"Ugh fine" you roll your eyes as you get up and walk out like a spoilt child

As you stand in the elevator with bucky and Natasha you start to feel a little woozy you stumble a little which bucky notices so he lifts you in his arms

"I was fine" you mumble

"Sure you were doll" bucky laughs back

He carries you the rest of the way to the medical bay setting you down on a bed to be examined when you arrive. Natasha has already parted and Bucky is heading for the door

A doctor in a white coat comes to you and begins examining your wound you begin to clench your fist and squirm

"Bucky" you shout he looks round to you "could you stay..... please," you ask sweetly your voice full of nerves

"Yeah of course no problem" he comes and sits on a chair beside you the doctor has cut into your wound and is in the process of removing bullet fragments, Bucky takes your hand in his

"I don't like doctors either too many messed me up over the years but these guys are good they just wanna help" he reassures you

"I'm not scared... I just thought the company would help" you lie squeezing buckys hand.

20 minutes later

"That's you all fixed up," the doctor says He gives you some antibiotics and suggests taking it easy for a few days and he lets you leave.

"Thanks"

You and Bucky head for the elevator you haven't even realised you're still holding his hand.

You ride up in silence he escorts you to your room helps put you to bed and parts with a kiss on the forehead.

"Thankyou buck" you utter

"Goodnight Y/N"
