Feeling's are difficult

You walk down the stairs and linger momentarily outside Pietros door preparing yourself for what lies ahead.*you just want answers that's all Y/N just ask Pietro and prepare for a response you may not like*

Knock knock

"Pietro you awake," you ask in a low tone trying not to disturb the now sleeping household

He pulls the door open smiling dressed in grey basketball shorts and a blue tight-fitting t-shirt "Hey Y/L/N what's up"

You slide past him and sit yourself down on the sofa bed he's sleeping on, you pat the space beside you "I just wanna talk" you respond with a little grin

He rushes over and drops himself down beside you. You lie yourself down he follows suit and you begin talking avoiding eye contact as you do

"So um I think we need to discuss some things about like us and our friendship and things that may affect said friendship" you turn to look at Pietro's face to get a read on his feelings about what you're saying when he grabs your face and interrupts your thought process

You pull away and jump off the bed

"Like that.... those kind of actions would affect a friendship" you splutter out

He gets up too, now standing in front of you "that's not new for us we do that we kiss we have sex, I know its been a while but come on things haven't changed" he grabs you around the waist you swiftly pull away and put distance between you

"But they have" you state with a frown taking over your face "do you love me?"

"No no I don't love you... Well I don't think I love you" he laughs rubbing the back of his neck "How would I know if I loved you?" He questioned

"Well I don't know, do I. I didn't even think it was even a possibility until goddamn Barnes mentioned it"

You notice Pietro's shoulders tense a little at the mention of bucky. "Fuck that guy has issues he doesn't like how close we are and he's trying to freak you out by saying all this stuff" he spits out "What makes you think he might be right about me loving you" he continues with uncertainty filling his eyes

"The way you've kissed me, it's different than how it used to be" you take a brief pause before continuing "it's sweet and soft not our usual 'I wanna fuck you now kisses' " you awkwardly laugh

He rebuttals "I like being with you hanging out with you, talking to you, touching you, kissing you, I like making you laugh and when you're not around I feel weird but I don't...." "aw fuck dude I think I love you" he blurts out throwing himself down on the bed in defeat

You head over and crouch down in front of him taking a hold of his hands "it's OK we can figure it out, but I need to make it clear I don't love you back not like that piet you are the most amazing, funniest guy I know but I don't love you" you feel his sadness radiating off him absorbing it yourself

"Y/L/N I didn't realise until like 5 minutes ago that I even felt this way about you" "so can take a minute" he replies taking his hands away from yours

You sit on the floor in silence waiting for Pietro to speak

"Ok this is fine I'm gonna get wanda to make me forget it all" he announces as he gets off the bed heading for the door, you leap up and stand in front of him placing your hand on his chest

"Piet is that not a little bit extreme," you ask tilting your head to the side

He takes your hand off his chest and places it in his "no Y/L/N I need to forget this whole being in love with you thing or it will destroy us, you are my best friend the person I feel safest with other than wanda and I don't know if I could stay your friend whilst feeling these new emotions for you, so I'm gonna do it we had a problem and I found a solution" he kisses your hand and makes his way out the door in search of wanda.

Wanda did it she suppressed Pietro's love for you and things went back to normal, he was just your friend again although you couldn't forget it you let it go and got on with your life.

A/NI ended up hating the idea of Pietro being in love with Y/N it added more depth to your fight with bucky but I found writing about his feelings a little awkward and hard to do so thanks to wanda and her abilities to mess with the mind she did a little clean up so you Pietro are back to just being buddies.
