Chapter 8: 𝑇𝑟𝑢𝑡ℎ 𝑜𝑟 𝑑𝑎𝑟𝑒

It was Friday morning, February 10th, Mikasa's birthday and Mikasa was already on her way to school, she hadnt told Eren about her birthday because she didn't want to celebrate her birthday without her loved ones.

It was currently 7:50 and Mikasa was only half way to school, she had woken up late and had to rush.

After a few minutes she arrived at school and it was 7:59, she had one minute to make it to homeroom so she ran as quick as possible, she then arrived and took her seat sweating bullets.

Just as she sat down the bell rang and Ms.Hangi walked in the class holding a pile of papers.

She set the papers down on the table and faced the class.

"𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁"- Hangi-san said with excitement

Everyone was quite interested on what the announcement was.

"𝗕𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗶 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 '𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗶 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 11 𝗮𝗻𝗱 12𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲." -Hangi-san said

"𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 09 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝘀.𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲."

Mikasa was definitely gonna sign up for the try outs, It would mean to show off her athletic ability and even travel all the way to Dubai.

"𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘂𝗽, 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝘁?- Hangi-san said.

Everyone nodded and then the bell rang meaning it was time for classes to start. Mikasa's class had Math so they all got up and made their way to room 10.

Everyone got their seats and we're greeted by their Math teacher Mr.Miche.

"𝗽𝘀𝘀𝘁, 𝗽𝘀𝘀𝘁, 𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗮"-Eren tried whispering to Mikasa

Mikasa faced Eren and Eren asked..

"𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗶 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀?"

"𝗢𝗻𝗲, 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲 '𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗮' 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘆𝗲𝘀"- Mikasa said sternly

"𝗔𝗵 𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗸"-Eren said feeling quite sad

Mikasa noticed this and sighed

"𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆, 𝗜'𝗺.. 𝗜'𝗺 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗲𝘃𝗲-Mikasa started blabbering but was then cut off by Eren

Eren grabbed her wrist

"𝗛𝗲𝘆, 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗜 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘁"-Eren said with a small but sweet smile

Mikasa once again got lost in his eyes and didn't even notice that Eren was speaking to her

"𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮.. 𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮"

Mikasa snapped out of her trance and looked at Eren one more time then faced the teacher once more.

'𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝘂𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀'-Mikasa said having an irritated look on her face but Eren took no notice of it.

~𝑇𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑠𝑘𝑖𝑝~

It was lunch and Mikasa rushed past everyone in the hallway to make it to roon 09, she made it and entered seeing about 50 students there and only 24 people would make the cut.

Ms.Petra was very athletic so her and Mr.Miche would be the two coaches.

The two teachers explained everything, how many people would make the team, the expenses, and the day of the tryouts which was on Monday after school from 3:35 to 4:35.

Everyone walked out of the room and made their way to the cafeteria to eat something in the remaining time of lunch left.

~𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑠𝑘𝑖𝑝~

It was the end of school and Mikasa was making her way to the front of the school where the students would be picked up by their parents or by the bus.

Mikasa saw her uncle Levi pull up and just as she was about to walk over, someone grabbed her arm and it was no one other than Eren.

"𝗗𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 6 𝗽𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱"-Eren said while reaching in his pockets for something.

Mikasa sighed and nodded and then was handed a note from Eren.

"𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱"-Eren said

Mikasa only nodded and walked over to the car to see Levi with a grim look on his face.

"𝗪𝗵𝗼'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝘂𝘆, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘆𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴?"-Levi said while starting the car

Mikasa froze for a bit then yelled.

"𝗢𝗳𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳***!"

Levi smirked

"𝗔𝗵 𝗼𝗸, 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗜 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁"

Mikasa groaned and rolled her eyes.

"𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲"-Mikasa said out of the blue

"𝗜𝗺 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘆𝘀?"-Levi asked keeping his eyes on the road.

"𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗶, 𝘆𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘀, 𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝘄𝗻"-Mikasa said with a bit of annoyance in her tone.

Levi sighed

"𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴"

"𝗦𝗼, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁- Levi tried asking but was cut off by Mikasa.

"𝗡𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹"-Mikasa said sternly

"𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁"

~Timeskip~It was 6:11 and Mikasa had finally made it to Sasha's house, she checked the home number on the house and on the note just to make sure it was the right house, it was.

Mikasa sighed and walked up towards the entrance door and rang the bell, before anyone opened she waved goodbye to Levi who had dropped her off.

Then mere seconds later, Sasha opened the door with a bag of chips in her other hand.

"𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲!"-Sasha yelled

"𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗜?"-Mikasa said while walking in.

"𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝘆!"-The others said

Mikasa waved hello and then sat down on the carpet everyone was on.

"𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲, 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗲?"-Sasha asked eagerly

Connie,Annie,Ymir,Reiner,Bertelto,Eren and Horseface raise their hand in agreement while Mikasa, Historia, Marco and Armin kept their hands down.

"𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴"-Sasha said with an evil grin.

Armin, Historia and Marco groaned.

"𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆"-Jean said while getting some food

"𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮, 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗲"-Sasha asked

"𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴"-Mikasa said with no emotion

"𝗢𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻, 𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆"-Everyone said

Everyone kept begging and Mikasa couldn't take it anymore and she finally agreed.

"𝗜 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲... 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵"

"𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆?"-Sasha asked

Mikasa kept quiet for a bit then answered.

"𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆... 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆"-Mikasa said while looking at the ground.

"𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧?!"-Everyone yelled

"𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀?!"-Eren asked

Mikasa didnt say anything and continued to look down at the ground.

Everyone got up.

"𝗪𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁"-Historia said looking determined

Mikasa tried to stop then but they all ran out.

Mikasa was now left alone.

"𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻'𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱... 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼..."-Mikasa said to herself

~𝑇𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑠𝑘𝑖𝑝~

After a few minutes, Eren was the first person to come back.

"𝗨𝗵 𝗵𝗶"-Eren said while walking towards Mikasa and sat down right next to her.

"𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼"-Mikasa said back

Eren pulled out a red piece of cloth and handed it to Mikasa.

"𝗔 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗳?"-Mikasa asked

"𝗨𝗵 𝘆𝗲𝗮, 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝘂𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹"-Eren says while scratching his nape

"𝗘𝗿𝗲𝗻..."

"𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗿𝗼-"-Eren tried asking but was cut off by Mikasa's lips touching his lips.

Eren was shocked but didn't think twice to kiss back, the kiss lasted a few seconds before Mikasa pulled away. It was gentle but passionate.

She then realised what she did and quickly turned away while blushing. Eren was blushing aswell but did his best to hide it.

There was awkward silence between them until the others came back and started giving Mikasa the presents they got for her.

Mikasa was thankful for each one.

Both Eren and Mikasa couldnt stop thinking about the kiss so much that it made the whole atmosphere between them very weird and awkward.

Soon it was time to sleep so everyone got comfortable, Sasha and Connie were sleeping on top of each other, Annie, Bertelto and Reiner slept close to each other, Ymir and Historia slept together and Miaksa was sandwiched by Armin and Eren.

They all soon drifted to sleep.
