Chapter 17

Annabeth

The place looked bigger than she thought it would. Ofcourse they did say it was a Mansion, but how exactly were they supposed to keep a low profile on top of the mansion  printed:

All the symbols of the gods children that were in the prophecy were also printed, Zeus, Pluto. Athena, Hephestus, Mars and  Aphrodite.

Well alomst all of them, Hera suggested they put Posideon's name but he said no. He didn't want to honor his son who was a failure and a traitor even though he helped save the world countless of times. No one  argued with him. They can't even say his name anymore and whoever says it is cursed for a month. That's why it's called the P word.      When all 6 of them entered it was big and fancy. The rooms had symbols on the door belonging to one of the demigods. Piper was happy when she saw her room, apparently the rooms change depending on how they feel. Annabeth went into her room. It was basic just white wall a white bed with grey sheets and the window was big too. She landed on her bed.

Three days.

That's how long she had until school started for them and she was not really that excited she didn't know why there parents wanted them to go to school, Let alone Posideon suggested it? Now that's fishy. Why Goode high? The high school He went to. While Annabeth was  taking the time to put stuff away in an organized manner; There was a knock on the door.

Annabeth opened it ans there stood Hazel.

"Hey Annabeth, Piper and I are going to shopping for clothes for school in three days wanna join."

Annabeth sighed. "Hazel you know I don't like doing that kind of stuff-"

"I know your going to say your Busy but it's going to be fun just like the old days me you and Piper just the three of us, why don't you try to be more chill and not so tense, and you and Piper could get along . . .  you know.  . .  Family bonding" Hazel interrupted.

Annabeth sighed again, she didn't really want to, but she knew that if she was going to be with everyone for a couple of years mostly likely in the same class including Piper; she didn't want Piper to be mad at each other.

"Ok. Fine"

Hazel smiled happily and raced down the hall into Piper's room. The walls were so thin Annabeth heard.

"See I told you she would agree"

"Shhh" piper says "The world could here you"

Annabeth smiled to herself.

I guess Piper might have wanted me to come, I wouldn't be suprised if Piper actually came up with the Idea.

Z : why are you upset, you don't get to school that's a plus one for alot of people

      

P: I like school. Being Sick is never the best feeling especially when your stuck in bed for most of the time.

   Z:  let me guess ADHD problems😮 

P: 😔Yeah . . . 

Z: I heard that our new teacher is coming in 3 days Along with 6 new students. There distant cousins I think they R also comming on the same day our teacher is.

P: Wow that's alot of new kids. Do you think they are going to be in the same class.

   Z: tbh, I don't know, But I do know what the new class we are going to take is;  It's kinda weird.

P: Wht is it?

     Z: It's Greek mythology

Percy took a minute to respond I tried to Imagine what his expression was like.

P:  LOL

P: We don't need that class.

Z: Yeah I know but maybe learning about something that's not real might be interesting.

This time Percy took a While to respond.

Z: You forgot your spaces.

P: Sorry I was speed typing. Gtg before she comes into the room. Again. Bye.

Z: see ya in 3 days

                 Z: Don't forget to meet Abbie  If your still planning to sneak out tonight.

My phone got snatched away before I could even see if he responded.

The teacher walked back to the front of the class, some of the kids giggled  I lowerd my head in embarrassment.

"And that's detention after school"

  Percy wasn't at school for a week. I realized that he was sick  He sent me a text saying that he was coming either,  way when I told him we could do it anothor time he refused. I decided that I was going to wear something Casual a long sleeved shirt with jeans and a pair of sneaker and a jacket. I waited inside the coffee shop where we were going to meet.      After a while I saw someone come in He wore a Brown hoodie he had a blue face mask and SunGlasses  Which was kind of weird he waved at me then came and sat in front of me.

"hey" Percy says.

I chuckled "what are you wearing"  

"I don't really know. I had to grab something really quick and sneak out through the window"

"What about the Sunglasses at night?" I asked.

Percy shrugged "I don't really know. I just had this feeling that I couldn't leave the house without it like someone basically yelling at me to wear it"  He chuckled. "Well it's probably because of this stupid flu"

"You shouldn't have come we could have done this next time"

"No. It's Fine, Besides sneaking out and hanging out with one of my friends is better than being stuck in bed."

He sneezed.

"Bless you."

"Thanks"

A waiter came to our table"What would you like"

I gave him my order and   Percy just asked for water. A few minutes later Percy went to get our order. That's when three girls came in A girl with blonde hair and grey eyes anothor girl with Dark Brown hair with Golden eyes and a girl with a braid with a feather in her hair and blue eyes they sat at a table in front of us. They looked like they just came back from the mall They had a ton of bags, Except for the blonde.

"The last time I was here, Piper and I Were attacked by a guy who knew my name"  said the Girl with Grey eyes

       "Really" Hazel said "So did you see who he was."

"No"  the girl with Blue eyes said "he was wearing alot of dark clothes and he broke off my charm speak."

Piper shivered.

"Do you thinks it's a-" The girl with Golden eyes lowerd her voice,  I read her lips she said

Monster!? I must be mistaken.

Percy came over and sat down his back facing away from there table, he was behind the girl with Blonde hair.

"Ok. Here it is"

He put my food down. Then placed his food down.

"I thought you said you were only taking water." I said.

"I got hungry waiting" He said as he pulled his mask down to his neck he still kept his glasses and hoode on his  I could tell that his nose was red.

I ate my food.

"Did you hear about the new Class that was added."

"Yeah I heard from Zack. Greek mythology" Percy says.

"It's weird right." I said.

"Yeah. It's not like we are going to be  using it in life, What a waste of precious time. It could be used for free time"

I chuckled.

"Excuse me could I please apply for a job." Percy changes his voice to a young man. "Yeah sure the only thing you have to do Is tell me who are the twelve Olympians and what they do" He changes his voice into a A grown up grumpy adult

I laugh.

"Waste of time learning about things that aren't real"

"On the topic of Greek mythology who is you favorite god or goddess."

"None of them, but the one I dislike the most is Athena. She thinks she's better than anybody else because she is a smart Aleck that drives me mad. I just don't like that woman, Also choosing between Posideon and Athena which are my two that I don't like: Athena defiantly is the-"

A Hand was slammed on our table it was one if the girls,  the girl with grey eyes. She looked angry. It suprised me and Percy.

"Um . . . . . do you need anything" I asked she ignored me and looked at Percy. I couldn't tell his expression because he had his face mask back on.

"Take it back." She growled.  

"No"  Percy asked.

"I understand everybody has opinion for what they think about Greek Mythology but people actually study the unreal. Your insulting people who spend years studying and they want to share the knowledge with other people" she says

"Well . . . I'm sorry If I hurt people's feelings."

"Well you should be "

"But I wasn't making fun of the people who study Greek mythology or insulting anyone"

"What . . ." she gritted hee teeth

"I was just talking about was the Olympians that I didn't like and one of them is a know it all. Your really giving me that Athena Vibe."  Percy sounded pretty calm like he was used to being yelled at by random strangers Which I was surprised about.

I could see Her Face turn red and steam come out of her ears.

"What is your problem. Your getting angry about something that's not even real, or more like somone,  if you want to be like Athena you don't need to try. Your a natural." I could hear the irritation in Percy's voice

"Annabeth calm down" said the girl with blue eyes. If it weren't for her two friends to calm her down, I had a feeling that she would have done something bad to him. The Manager asked us to  leave since we were making noise Annabeth storms out with her two friends.

I walk  beside Percy he took his hoode off and Sun glasses and took off the face mask he then ran his hand through his hair.

"I don't know what came over me today." He stopped "I didn't even know her but I was mad angry frustrated She just gave me that feeling-"

"The Athena Vibe"

"No." Percy chuckled. He didn't say what the feeling  was. "She just rubs me the wrong way, Even her friends. Probably beacause I'm sick."

"That's why you should have stayed home."

Percy shrugged "it's just a cold. In Three days I'll be back at school."  "Looking forward to that"  I say

" Hey Sorry for getting us kicked out" Percy says.

I shoved him playfully as we continued walking "are you kidding. That's the most interesting thing that has happened this month,  but next time we go to the theme Park"

Percy smiled he rested his hands on his head.

"Yeah. . . I'm just glad I won't get to see her again,"
