Night Time Confessions

What, you guys honestly thought that I was gonna this out long and agonizingly slow? Nah, I'm human too. I'll be nice. Here ya go!!

It was a few days after I told Addie and it was also the day I had decided to tell Alex that he was the father of my baby.

He was laughing with Izzie in the locker room and my stomach growled with jealously before Cristina asked, "What is she doing?" George frowned, turning to them then responded, "She's hanging out with Alex."

We walked out with their quiet chatter about Alex and Izzie while I slowly got more and more annoyed as we grew closer to Bailey.

"Can we please just shut the hell up about Karev and Stevens and their gossip session and save lives!" I demanded, turning on my heel to glare at my fellow interns. Bailey stopped in her tracks with her brown eyes widening before I leaned against the wall, not bothering to admit the fact that I was,1, annoyed beyond belief and 2, hostile towards anyone.

"Oo Kay, Dr. Hostile. You're going to need a good case cause I'm not dealing with your cranky ass all day." Bailey pointed out to me but I only grumbled in remark.

We first went over our rounds which mainly considered of a 23 year old woman who can't stop blushing (I honestly feel really bad for this girl) and a man scheduled for a resection non-small cell carcinoma.

Alex was being insulted by Izzie while George and Meredith stood by the vending machines, getting themselves something to snack on until our next possible patient arrives. I leaned against the far wall, gritting my teeth but luckily, I didn't do anything damage thanks to my gum I had been chewing.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that Bailey and Cristina was scurrying along beside a gurney and I eagerly went to join them only to see who the patient was. There was no way in hell that I'm seeing who I think I'm seeing.

"Parker! Congratulations,I've found your good case. Trust me,you two are going to get anything just great." Bailey assured me and my blood ran cold.

She turned to announce to my co-workers, "Hey there's a new surgical case coming up from the pit. Likely diverticulitis. Let's go." then I realized that I wasn't the only one who was frozen in place.

The patient was screaming at us, saying we were amateurs and she wanted to know where the Chief was. Bailey turned to me then stated, "Patient's name,Parker?" I gulped and turned towards Meredith then declared,"Ellis Grey."

Ellis zoned in on where Mere was standing, causing her eyes to widen before she yelled, "What did I tell you! Haven't I told you not to bother me while I'm working?!" My best friend ducked away and Bailey turned to me then stated, "You, put Dr. Grey in an examination room. You four, follow me."

I grabbed the rails of the gurney then begun pushing her towards the area of the ERs as she continued to scream at me. As I pushed down the brakes for the gurney, Ellis finally pushed me to my breaking point.

"You stupid intern! Don't you know how to do anything right?" she demanded, shoving me away. I gritted my teeth then snapped,"Look! I'm tired of you pushing me around. I'm your doctor and I dont have time for this child play. So, let me help you."

George soon entered later and he glanced over at me before I noticed that Ellis's demeanor had changed.

"I'm in the middle of my work day Thatch." she protested as she begun struggling back and forth with George for her chart.

"Thatch? No,my name is Dr. O'Malley. I just need to check your..." Ellis cut him off and I couldn't help but snicker at the look of defeat that crossed his face as she snapped, "Darling I'm not in the mood to play doctor now. Hands off, I'm busy. Um..."

Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted Meredith standing in the doorway, slightly hiding from her mother, before she motioned me over.

"Avi, she's uh, allergic to penicillin." I frowned at her information. I don't appreciate other people telling me what I already know. After all, I had already looked at the damn chart.

"Dr. Grey, if you're trying to tell me what I can find on the patient's chart,I suggest you get back to doing your job. I'm a doctor, a surgeon none the less." I stalked back into the room where poor George looked like he was going to fall over so I grabbed his arm then tugged him out into the hallway.

"What was that for?" George questioned, studying me with a different glint in his eyes but I only brushed it off like the fool I am. I gave him a once over, noticing how tired the poor guy really was before I declared, "George, this is all out of complete kindness. You look like a pile of horse crap with sparkles and glitter sprinkled over it. I want coffee and you need to mainstream it like a drug."

He chuckled at my example before we walked over to the coffee cart and ordered a doctor's form of crack then sat at a nearby bench,just enjoying each other's presence. Of course however, Dr. Awkward O'Malley had to ruin our moment,"Are you pregnant?"

I felt my blood run cold and my stomach churned with uneasiness but I knew my secret would be out soon so I nodded slightly then asked,"What gave me away?" He shrugged but never answered and I sighed before I spotted Alex walking near us. Jumping up, I hurried off to him and grabbed his wrist.

"We need to talk." He scoffed and shrugged me away from him then demanded,"Oh,so I'm important to you again? How ironic,always on your time,huh, Aviana?"

"Alex,you don't understand! I had plans when I said yes to yo-" He chuckled but it wasn't whole hearted... It was sarcastic.

"Haven't you ever heard of the word no? Oh wait, I forgot,Dr. Montgomery. You've never heard the word no." He was throwing my true identity in my face.

"How did you find out?" He rolled his hazel eyes then snapped,"Please. It's all over the hospital. The great Addison Montgomery's little sister has been hiding in Seattle Washington." He went to walk away but I stopped him in his tracks,"One date. I'll explain everything. Please. "

He paused and his head ducked down before he replied,"One date. Right after work. No questions, everything is coming out on the table tonight, Aviana." Alex walked away and I knew that it was time to play the game with his rules.

I walked back into the room with George leading me before he attempted to give her an exam again, only to have no luck. I forced a smile on my face then strode over to her before I declared,"Hello, Dr. Grey, my name is Dr. Montgomery. I've always admired your work. It's just fantastic."

A genuine smile stretched across her face before she stopped in her tracks then asked,"So you're familiar with the laparoscopic-grey method?" I nodded. I had the damn thing memorized by the time I was eleven for God's sake!

"I need to do a quick exam before you go into surgery,Dr. Grey. New PR crap. Sorry." She nodded as she pulled off her cardigan then sat on the bed before George slowly slipped out of the room.

After the exam, I had George get me the CT results but what I found, I didn't like. I went for the Chief and explained that there was a liver mass but I wasn't entirely sure what it was exactly.

Through all of the talk at the hospital, I found out that the girl's surgery had been successful and there was no more blushing, the old man had a literal broken heart, and Cristina had been bleeding internally for her entire pregnancy. Unfortunately though for everyone else,I wasn't worried about anything but Alex.

I changed out of my scrubs then pulled on normal clothes that consisted of a Blink 182 shirt,a pair of skinny jeans, and my Converse before I hurried downstairs to meet Alex at the entrance of the hospital. He stood, checking his watch every few seconds but when he heard my shoes scuffing on the sidewalk, he looked up and raised an eyebrow.

"Look, we can go to dinner and do this, or we can go to the park. Your choice." I suggested but he held his hand out then replied,"Let's do both." We grabbed subs and walked across the street to the park before sitting side by side on the swings, eating without a word.

Once we finished our dinner, he turned then declared,"Start talking because I don't have much time." I inhaled a deep breath and rocked side by side as I begun explaining everything to him,"I was adopted right here at Seattle at the age of two. My real parents didn't want me or something but Addison's parents, my parents took me in and raised me as their own. I had a good stable boyfriend back in Manhattan but that was before Derek and Addie broke up. The boyfriend I had was Derek's best friend and the man Addie cheated on my brother in law with. He drove me to drugs, heavy drugs. Heroin, coke, you know it, I was probably hooked on it. But then, I sobered up. I went back to school for two years to get an eight year degree and also graduated at the head of my class. I left Manhattan and came here, where I belong. "

"But it wasn't enough. I met Jackson here and I met you. That one night stand... You didn't use a condom and I wasn't on the pill. Alex, I'm pregnant. And you're the father. I know this, because I used condoms with Jackson at all times."

Alex's Point of View:

Me? A father. I stood on shaky legs as I shook my head then protested,"No. This can't be happening." She rose to her feet as well and mumbled,"I can get an abortion... I'll have Addison do it before she leaves."

"No! Dammit,Avi, I don't know if I'm ready to be a father." I declared but then I realized that the times has changed. I've gotten away. I've changed. I grabbed her hand and stated, "But I'll do it. I can do this. We'll raise this kid together. I'll be by your side the entire time."

I pulled her into me and I could feel her tears soaking the material of my shirt but it wasn't sadness she was feeling. We were sharing the same damn emotion. Happiness.

You? Be a father to this amazing surgeon's baby? Ha! A venomous tone entered my head but I shoved it away. We could do this. We could be happy. 

I could be happy.

Aw,I just love seeing Avi and Alex together. But I do enjoy seeing some Avi and Jackson.... Anyway, sun burns and heat exhaustion doesn't mix well. That's why I didn't update last night like I wanted... But I updated today, so yay!!
