Chapter 34

It's been about a month since abigail's been home with Storm and it really hasn't been that bad at all. My mum flew in last week to come and help out which has proved to be extremely helpful because Abigail was starting to get really worn down and so was I.

We needed an experienced mum to help us out.

"Niall dear why don't you take Storm so Abigail and I can go out and do something fun. She hasn't been out of the house in so long and she needs a nice relaxing day." My mum smiled walking into the kitchen where I sat with Liam and Louis. 

"Yeah sure but I'm not sure Abigail will want to leave Storm for too long." I warned my mother. 

"It'll be fine. She'll have a little separation anxiety at first but once her feet are soaking in nice warm water she'll be fine." My mum laughed before walking out of the room. I went upstairs into the nursery to see Abigail putting Storm down into her crib. 

"Hey, my mum wants to take you out this afternoon. You need a break." I whispered coming up behind her. I looked down into the crib and storm was fast asleep. She looked a lot like Abigail. Same hair and facial features and her eyes were exactly like her mums.

"I don't know. I think I should stay just in case she needs me." She stood up straight and turned to look at me. She looked so much older but it was because she was so tired. She never slept and she never let anyone alone with Abigail, she was extremely overprotective. I just gave her a stern look and I could tell she was thinking it over. I know she wants this day off, I can feel it. "But maybe if it's just for an hour or two."

"Go get dressed, my mum is waiting downstairs." I grinned picking up the baby monitor and walking out of the room.

A few minutes later and Abigail was downstairs in clothes that weren't puke stained. She was going on and on about what we should do with the baby and she took forever to get out the door. "Wait, she's awake." She stopped suddenly and ran up the stairs.

"But there's no crying." Liam looked confused. A moment later Abigail came walking down the stairs with Storm who in fact was awake. 

"Just hold her and rock her if she gets fussy. Call me immediately if things don't work out." She looked down at Storm and I could tell she was rethinking everything.

"Yes, of course." I grabbed Storm from her and cradled the baby in my arms. "Now go, have a nice day. We all love you and think you deserve a day off. You've been an awesome mum so far." 

"Okay, okay. I'll be back soon. Please be careful with my baby." How hard could this be? "I love you so much, I'll be back soon baby." She leaned down and kissed Storm's head before giving us a smile and walking out the door with my mom.

"So what do we do now?" Louis asked sitting down on the couch. 

"Well now we make sure this baby stays alive for the next few hours otherwise we'll be dead too."

We were all sat on the couch watching tv as I held Storm in my arms. She was such a calm baby, ironic. She was a little antsy because Abigail wasn't around but other than that nothing major has happened.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and slowly reached down to get it. "Hey mum."

"Niall! I don't know where Abigail is. We were getting our nails done and she was waiting for me to be done and said she was going next door to get a drink from the market and she never came back so I went to look for her and she wasn't in there and she won't answer her phone." My mother sounded so frantic and out of breath. "I already called the police. She wouldn't run away, she has a baby now!" 

"You're right she wouldn't run away." I was trying to stay calm since my mother was so hectic but when I said that Louis and Liam looked over at me. "Text me your address, I'll be there in a bit." I hung up the phone and immediately the boys asked what was wrong. 

"My mum can't find Abigail and I know she didn't run away."

I'm sorry it's been so long but I'm finally starting to finish up all the stories on my account.
