Mature content AheadNo POV

The ride back is quiet, Logan keeps her close refusing to let Hank treat her. He strokes her cheek, eyes hard and full of sorrow.

Covered in a blanket, he watches as Estelle's body begin to heal itself. Her rough skin smooth, no bruise left as a reminder.

Only her broken mind and cold body.

Arriving Jubilee and Gambit greet them only to see there grim expressions. Logan doesn't listen to there protest, as he takes her to his room, closing and locking the door behind him.

He knew when she awakens she wouldn't want to be surrounded by something so similar.

He wouldn't want that.

He didn't after what happened to him.

Holding her, he lays in bed, keeping her close before drifting off to sleep.

A week passes of her deep slumber.

Logan remains by her side, taking care of her, making sure she doesn't slip away from him in the dead of night.

It's nearing the end of summer, the leaves are changing and the winds cool. As the birds chirp happily Estelle opens her eyes slowly, adjusting to the light. Turning her head she stares out the window watching the birds fly off into the winds one final time.

Looking into the deep blue sky, every memory and moment comes back to her. Her body stiff, her mind tired, she mumble a name softly.

"Logan..."

She does so a few times, tone or volume never changing. By the fourth time he opens the door relived at the sight of her alive.

"Estelle."

Rushing to her side he holds her hand, she squeezes it gently. The love is there, but even he can see the light in her eyes are gone.

What happened to her has been destroyed, the people buried in rubble.

A courtesy of Scott.

But that doesn't change what happened. She might have been able to heal Wolverine from his own trauma, or the vow to remain in the X-Men made by Professor X. But it's clear that she's weak against her own powers, weak against her past.

She mumbles softly, "I...I missed you."

He smiles at her, kissing her knuckles.

He didn't tell the others she's awake, not like it mattered he hasn't even allowed them to see her.

So as a week passes, she continues to lean on him in her fragile state. Refusing aid from Hank, or mental bending from Jean.

On a quiet afternoon, she mumbles softly to herself, "I...I want to disappear."

Logan's grip tightens around her, "Then let's go."

She's confused at first, until he sits up. Pulling out two small bags, he packs light. Helping her stand, they slip their clothes on. Something comfortable, something easy.

Logan's told her of his journeys around the world. To escape the life of Wolverine. To escape from the world around him.

This time he wouldn't do it alone, this time, he would guide her through the darkness.

Looking up at her she speaks softly, "Where do you want to go?"

She thinks for a moment, "Anywhere, as long as you're there."

Gripping his hand, she squeezes gently showing him a small smile to contrast her broken eyes.

Kissing her on the forehead, they leave in the dead of night. Through the lands of America, across the sky and through the sea. They travel from coast to coast.

The world he's told stories about become hers, it becomes her peace.

Little by little, light returns to her gaze. No longer was she jumping out of fear. Running from shadows, but now walking through them to reach the light on the other side.

Even now as she plays the Koto in a far temple in the mountains of Japan she feels at ease.

Wind blowing against her rich curls, thin air seeping through her lungs she finds tranquility. And at the end of the day, Logan is there waiting for her warmth after a long day.

Holding her close, they find privacy under the moonlight. He kisses her gently, melting in his touch, Estelle mumbles something.

He pulls away from her, "Hm?"

Whispering softly against his lips she smiles softly, "You're too sweet."

He chuckles, "Last time I checked, you like sweet things."

She nods before kissing him again. Clothes decorate the grass, making a safe place to lay she straddles him. Her hips move at a teasing pace, causing him to groan.

He tenses, cheeks flushed, this is enough for her to continue on, pushing him to the edge. Gripping her hips gently, he guides them, making her curse under her breath.

Kissing his exposed neck, her movements become quick and steady. Positioning herself, she guides him inside causing him to shudder in pleasure. The control he once held is gone, Estelle reveals in it, lacing her fingers with his she whispers sweet words to him.

Lost in each other's touch, she leans her forehead against his. Jerking his hips, she gasps, unable to control the need of release. And when she meets it, he takes the chance to flip her over. Sitting up, he pulls her close, wrapping his arms around her.

Hiding in the crook of his neck to silence her wails of pleasure. Rolling her hips slowly she claws his back, a deep groan escapes him making him cup the back of her head.

This is enough for him to meet his high, but he doesn't stop as he slams her on his member over and over again. Keeping her steady he enjoys the view as her expressions twist and turns.

Biting her chest she gasp, holding into his arms for security. Reaching her high, she stares at the stars before growing limp against him.

Out of breath, he holds her close mumbling confessions of love she smiles, returning every vow with a kiss.

Pulling her away, he holds her hand, rubbing the edge of her knuckles. Confused she smiles at him softly, slipping a silver band on her finger she's taken aback.

Kissing him passionately under the light of the moon, she runs his fingers through his hair.

He's amazing.
