Five (Nico)

Today we go to meet the child that Loren thinks is best for us to adopt. I must admit I'm quite nervous actually maybe we'll get a baby. Hopefully. That would be quite convenient actually.

When Levi and I are dressed, we head to the car and obviously Levi drives beachside well my leg is broken so I'm in no fit state to drive. On the way there I breathe slowly and heavily "it's ok" says Levi reassuringly "they said we're fit parents, that means we should be fine" continued Levi "I know" I sigh "I just fear that we aren't really good enough, what if we can't handle parenting Levi?" I asked "don't think about it negatively, I'm sure it will all be fine once we meet the child or children" replied Levi, I nod and sigh as I watch the trees and houses speed by.

Eventually we reach the adoption agency and walk through the automatic sliding doors. There we see Loren meet us with a firm smile, her ginger, curly hair cascading down her back and over her shoulders "hello!" Exclaims Loren cheerfully "hello!" We reply in unison, Loren ushers for us to follow her so we do. We get into an office and she explains the details to us

"So we have managed to pick out twins for you both as we feel you are fit for twins, two girls both 3 months old" explains Loren "unfortunately we haven't got names for them, if you have names in mind please tell us and we will sort that out for you" continued Loren, we nod and look at each other "we decided one of us names each girl" begins Levi "I decided Kenzie-Leigh" continued Levi, wow what a beautiful name "and I decided Phoenix" I added "what beautiful yet unique names" complimented Loren, we smile

"Ok, I'll lead you to where the cots are and you can meet the children, you two decide which one is Kenzie-Leigh and which one is Phoenix, all the parenting is up to you now the conditions have changed considering the children cannot talk. Therefore what we do is we let you meet them and take them home, in a week's time I will still visit to see how you are getting on and check the babies health, after that my next visit will be two weeks after, my visits will be less regular as the babies turn one, if I have to visit more often that is bad news but going by you two I may not have to see you at all which is good!" Explains Loren

"Oh and you may like to note that their birthdays are on the 24th of March" adds Loren, we nod and follow her into a small nursery where two baby girls lay in two little cots. We stare at them in awe as they gurgle and kick their legs aimlessly in the air. We loom over them and decide which one is Phoenix and which one is Kenzie-Leigh. I choose the one on the left with the red quilt and Levi chooses the one on the right with the yellow quilt. "I'm guessing the one with the red quilt is Phoenix and the one with the yellow quilt is Kenzie-Leigh" assumed Loren, we nod

"That's correct" I say as I steady myself so I can stroke Phoenix's cheek, Loren smiles. I quickly put my hand on my crutch again as my balance is useless "hopefully this stupid cast will be off soon" I say, Levi nods

"Well, you still seem like you can get around and help which is good, Nico" replied Loren, I smile and nod. "So where are the forms?" Asked Levi. Loren ushered us back into her office and we sat down on the chairs, she ruffled around in her drawers and eventually came out with a small wad of paper and plonked it down on the desk.

"So this may take a while however, I will need you to sign where it asks on every page, don't worry the pages aren't attached yet to make it easier for the both of you, therefore one of you signs one paper and hands it to the other person while you get another bit of paper and sign and so on" explains Loren, she recited that like it was written on a script, maybe she has just explained it so much it is embedded in her mind. I cracked my knuckles and Loren handed us two black pens. They were quite fancy too, I must add that they're fountain pens, even more posh.

"Thank you" Levi and I say in unison as Loren hands us the pens. I take the first page and read through the words. I don't really take them in and I don't really care, I just want to take Phoenix and Kenzie-Leigh home, I'm attached already. I begin to sign on lines aimlessly when I get the the tenth page as I begin to get used to signing.

Eventually we reach the end of the what seemed so small but was such a big pile of forms and we hand them back over to Loren, "thank you guys! Now, do you have the stuff needed to take Kenzie-Leigh and Phoenix home? If not we allow time for you to get this stuff, if you do not have two cots or car seats you have 48 hours to get this equipment" explained Loren. Shit. After everything we forgot to build the cots "we have everything, we need to build the cots but that won't be such a hardship and it will only take a few hours" replied Levi.

"Unfortunately for safety precautions we need to keep Phoenix and Kenzie-Leigh in our custody until you have all equipment up and ready for the children to have a stable home to enter when they first arrive" said Loren, we huff and leave. When we get home we get started on all the baby stuff we forgot to build.

Oh god all they want is a child! Sorry for the long periods of time between updates as I said in the last chapter I'm really busy but I'm trying to update as much as possible. Thank you for all the support tho guys I love you all!
