Chapter 10

Today is the day of the competition. The gown Mitsuya created is majestic! It's so beautiful that I don't want to wear it. I just want to stare at it. I'm not being biased here because he's my boyfriend or something, just to be clear.

Ahh... Boyfriend. Calling him my boyfriend makes me feel butterflies.

I was given a room to change and do my make-up, Thankfully I know how to do my own make-up. I based it on what I'm wearing. I will try my best to win, for him... for his dream.

Mitsuya

Our homeroom teacher comes with us to the competition. y/n is now changing and doing her make-up in a provided room. We went there to check on her.

"l/n, can we enter?"Ms. Suzuki said as she knocked.

"Ah! Yes ma'am." y/n replied and opened the door. Everything went in slow motion! She's perfect... No, she's too perfect for me. She's like an angel fallen from the sky.

"Wow! l/n you're beautiful, The gown suits you right! I know you can win this, Right Mitsuya?" Ms. Suzuki looked at me but I'm staring at her. After a while, she cleared her throat, It startled me.

"Ah. Yes... Yes." I said and y/n chuckled.

"Ah, young love." Our teacher said, making y/n and I snap our heads at her.

"What? I'm not blind. I saw you both together and the chemistry is overflowing. Anyways, good luck with the competition, I'll go ahead at the venue. Be there within ten minutes okay?" She said and wave goodbye at us.

When I saw Ms. Suzuki gone, I looked back at her. "Hey," I said.

"Hi!" She replied and looked away.

"Uhmm..." I scratched the back of my head. "You're beautiful, y/n as always." I let out an awkward chuckle.

"It's because of your creation, Takashi. You're very talented! I will do my best to win this so you can have the scholarship."

"Thank you! But I don't want to pressure you, whatever the result will be, I'm so happy that you are my muse."

Her cheeks instantly became red. Ahhhh! She's too cute that I want to kiss her here, right now but it will ruin her lipstick.

"If we win this, Can I have a reward?" I asked.

"What? I should be the one with a reward." She chuckled.

"Well, If we win I will give you a reward and you'll give mine."

"What reward do you want?"

"A kiss," I said without any hesitation. "Not on the cheeks, on the lips."

"Wow, bold of you to say that." She chuckled. "Okay. I'll give you a kiss if we win. Then we'll go on a date for my reward."

"Deal! It's a win-win for me." I said, chuckling.

After Takashi checked the gown and made sure that everything is perfect we went to the venue. The competition started shortly after. We were lined to ramp on a catwalk so we can showcase the gown to the crowd and the judges.

I practiced on my walk weeks before the competition so I'm confident that I can win this. This is for Takashi's future and also for his siblings.

It's now my turn to walk. I am nervous but I keep on thinking about him, Seeing his happy face if he wins is enough for me to give my best.

I heard gasps when I started to walk, I felt proud of him. The crowd was captivated by his creation. I slowly turn to show them the back of the gown. Then I walk back.

After the ramp, they give time for the designers to explain the details of the gown. Takashi did well explaining everything.

"I was fascinated about Greek mythology especially Aphrodite, The goddess of beauty. I thought of this design while incorporating the modern style that will suit my muse. I want to showcase not only my gown but also my muse and anyone who will wear my creation."

After he explains, everyone claps. My heart race and look at him, He just wink at me.

There's a ten-minute break to deliberate the result. That was the longest ten minutes of my life. After that, they called us in front together with the designers. I was so nervous. I look a Takashi but he's calm. I took a deep breath.

Moments later, I felt his hands holding mine. I look at him, He looked calm but his hands are cold! He's nervous! This is scarier than the fight against Moebius.

The host went up to the stage and started to announce the runner-ups after that it's time for the winner.

"The winner will get 50,000 yen and a full scholarship to their university of choice." The host said and opened the envelope.

"The winner is..." He paused. Argh! The pause it's killing me. I just want to get the envelope and look for the winner.

"The winner is from Tokyo Metropolitan Hiroo High School! Mitsuya Takashi and his Aphrodite-inspired gown!"

Mitsuya and I looked at each other for a couple of seconds. His eyes are wide and his mouth agape. I hold my mouth in shock. Oh my god! We won! I'm so proud of him. He can now chase his dreams!

Mitsuya hugged me before we walk forward. He received a big ass check and a trophy. After the pictorials and interviews, I change to my casual wear.

He waited for me outside the dressing room. When I stepped out I saw him leaning against the wall with his hands inside his pockets.

"Hey. Congratulations!" I said.

"I can't believe that I won."

"Your gown is beautiful, Takashi. The audience and the judges were captivated by it."

"Uhm... I made that, thinking of you. You're part of why I won."

His words made me blush. He's a smooth talker!

"Thank you for agreeing to be my muse. Now I can help my mother with Luna and Mana's school fees. I can now chase my dream. Thank you."

"I only model your design. It's you and your talent that made us win." I replied and smiled.

He nods. "Then let's go home! I'll buy meat so we can all eat." He said,

"Ohhh! Meat! I love it!"

Mitsuya

It's been a week since I won the competition. The school made a banner about it and everyone is congratulating me, I'm not used to the attention.

"You looked exhausted, Taka-chan," Yuzuha said.

"I'm not used to the attention from school. Everyone is congratulating me." I said as I sit at the chair beside the dining table.

Akio is busy playing with my siblings.

"Your girlfriend is your muse?" Yuzuha said. My eyes caught Akio flinched.

"Yeah! Her name is y/n. Wanna see some pictures?" I said.

Yuzuha

Taka-chan hand me his phone. I looked at it and saw a picture of a beautiful girl. I almost choke. What the fudge!

I suppress my laughter. Oh, This is interesting.

"Taka-chan, I'm prettier than her," I said and as I thought, Akio snapped his head towards us. This is just a hunch since I saw some similarities but I need to confirm and also I want to see her reaction.

"You're pretty too, Yuzuha" Taka-Chan smile at me.

"Remember when we were young, you kissed me?" I simply glance at Akio and he's shooting daggers at me. I try my best not to laugh.

Mitsuya

"We were kids and curious back then," I said, almost stuttering. This is embarrassing! Luna and Mana might hear it.

"Eh? That was my first kiss." She paused. "Oh! I don't have a gift for you, I should kiss you instead as my congratulation gift." She said and leaned close to me. I froze in shock because she is acting weird. She's not like this before.

My eyes widened when Akio suddenly pulls Yuzuha.

"Yuzuha-chan let's buy some desserts!" He said and dragged Yuzuha out of the house. I was left with my siblings dumbfounded.

I let go of her hands when we reached the park near Takashi's apartment. I'm not mad, I just panicked. She's about to kiss my boyfriend!

"I knew it." Yuzuha laughed. "You're obvious Akio! Oh sorry, y/n-chan."

I froze. How does she instantly know that I am y/n just by looking in one single picture? I'm with Takashi from school to Toman and he doesn't even suspect anything.

"You're smart, Yuzuha-chan."

"I know. I'm a Shiba." She said, smiling. "Don't worry, I will not interfere with your relationship if that's what you are worried about."

"No, No. I'm..." I paused. "Fine, I panicked when you were about to kiss him."

"I will not kiss him, silly. It's like kissing Hakkai, ew! I just want to confirm that you are y/n-chan and see your reaction." She chuckled.

I let out an awkward chuckle and look away. This conversation is kinda awkward.

"Phone." She added. I look back at her.

"What?"

"Give me your phone."

"Why?"

"Just do it."

Confused, I took my phone from my pocket and gave it to her. She then taps the screen a couple of times.

"I know that you have your reasons why you're doing this. It's kinda complicated living a double life so If you want someone to talk to when you're stressed or something and you can't tell Taka-chan about it, call me." She said and toss my phone. I immediately catch it.

"I like you! You make Taka-chan smile often!" She said, then walked away. "I'm going home, Tell Taka-chan." She said while walking.

"Thank you, Yuzuha!" I shout, she just waves her hands.

I bought Ice cream before heading back to Takashi's apartment. I felt somewhat happy that his childhood friend likes me. After we eat, we walk around to kill time before the meeting.

"Akio?" Takashi stopped walking.

"Hmm?" I hum and look back at him.

"It's not my business but do you like Yuzuha?" He said in a serious tone. I almost swallow the gum that I am chewing.

"What?"

"If ever you like her, I'm just asking you not to hurt her. She's a family and if you make her cry I will break your bone, understand?" He looks like a father protecting his daughter from her suitor, it's scary.

Wait... My eyes widened when I realized something. did he misinterpret what happened earlier?

"I... I do-"

"I'm not scaring you." He chuckled. He cut me off! "I'm just asking you to treat her right, I trust you, Akio because you're my friend." He said and smiled at me. I was about to answer when Hakkai suddenly showed up.

"Guys, Mikey is for calling us."

"Go, I'll be at the shrine later," I said.

"He's asking for you too, Akio," Hakkai said.

"Then let's go!" Mitsuya answered and we immediately went to our bikes.

We went to Toman's hideout. There I saw the captains and vice-captain with Mikey in the middle.

"Good! All the captains and vice-captains are here." Mikey said and looked at all of us. "I have an announcement to make."

What is that announcement? Is this another brawl?

"I received an invite from Izana Kurokawa of Tenjiku. They are challenging us in a brawl to see who's the stronger gang! We have two months of preparation so I am counting on you guys! This is one step closer to being known throughout Japan!"

Wait. It's only three months! the deal was we fight after eight months of being a Toman member. I'm not strong enough to face them yet.

"Akio, are you okay? You're sweating and breathing heavy." Takashi asked.

"I... I'm fine." I said and smiled. After the meeting, I went home and fell flat to my bed. They don't play fair!

Moments later my phone rings, I look at it and it's my brother.

"Ran."

"Ohhh, no Nii-san?" He said on the other line.

"You always tell me not to call you that."

"Are you pissed little sister? I'm guessing Mikey announced our fight."

"You said in eight months! It's just been three months since I became a Toman plus two months preparation before the fight. It's only five months!"

"What? Are you scared?"

"No!" I paused and took a deep breath. "I just want to follow our agreement."

"Well, It's not our fault when Izana suddenly challenged Toman. He heard about you and wants to see you in action."

I didn't speak. This is pressuring me. There's the first place in school ranking that I need to reclaim for my dad then this.

"Just think about this, if you win we can announce it early that you're a Haitani." He said when he realized that I will not speak.

"That is... if you win." He added.

"Oh, I will win nii-san." I said in a mocking tone.

"We'll see." He then ended the call. I put my phone down and lay flat on the bed.

Why do I need to prove everything just to be accepted? It's my name for fuck's sake! Why do I need to fight for it?

Hi guys! I can't find the name of mitsuya's school so I just search a school name in tokyo hehe gomen.

Sorry if the update took so long, I just had a slight writer's block from this book but i will try my best to update regularly from now on :)
