Chapter 9

It's been a month since the fight against Moebius and things went back to normal between Mitsuya and me as Akio.

But with me as y/n... we were kinda avoiding each other or I am avoiding him. Being with him in both of my identities is so damn hard! that is why I have decided to pick the less complicated one which was Akio.

Though everyday I still regret rejecting him. I still don't have the courage to tell him that.

I continue my façade as the perfect student. I just need to claim the top spot so Dad will be pleased. After the fight, I didn't hear from my brothers which is good, I guess? They are not mocking me anymore. I am now one step closer to beating them. I just have to be more stronger.

Mikey is now inviting me whenever the founding members together with other division captains and vice-captains are hanging out. this means He is noticing my strength and my possible help in future brawls.

Everything is in place... for now.

We're at the hideout hanging out with the Toman's captains and vice-captains. I was just watching Angry and Hakkai sparring in front of me when Baji sits beside me.

"Yo." He greeted.

"Hi, Baji-san."

"I'm still curious. How did you knock out half of Moebius?" he asked.

"Uhhh... I just kicked them?" I replied in a confused tone.

"But you're small. How can you knock out someone who was double your size?" He stands up and lifts me from my waist.

"Baji-san!" I almost squeal. I almost forgot that I'm Akio now.

"See, you're easy to carry." He said, laughing.

"Baji-san put me down."

"Make me."

Mitsuya

I saw Baji playing with Akio. He lift him and put him on his shoulder. Akio keeps telling him to put him down but Baji is testing Akio's strength.

I can't blame him. With his size it's really impossible to knock someone down. Not unless you're Mikey, of course.

I was about to step in when Akio suddenly made Baji fall. A loud thud was heard, making the other Toman members look at them. I don't know how the hell that happened. He's too fast! All I can see is that Akio is now sitting on top of him, looking down at Baji's face.

"I told you to put me down Baji-san." He said. Akio's face is covered with his hair. he brushed it up using his slender fingers. I saw Baji got stunned lying on the ground staring at Akio.

Been there bud. been there.

Akio stands and extends his hands at Baji. Baji snaps from deep thoughts. He accepts Akio's hands and stands up. He then messes his hair. "Not bad, rookie. Not bad." He said with an awkward laugh as he scratches the back of his head.

"Thank you, Baji-san," Akio replied.

"He's something eh?" Mikey said as he stood next to me.

"Yeah, He is strong! With his help, we can win in our next fight."

"Yes. Take care of him, Mitsuya. The words that we have a strong rookie are now spreading. Soon other gangs will pursue him. I want him to remain Toman."

"Yes, Mikey. I'll watch over him."

"Thanks!" Mikey tapped my shoulder and walked towards Akio.

It's the weekend and I have nothing to do so I decided to go to Mitsuya's house. I also brought food for the hotpot. He's kinda busy this past few weeks because he's making the gown that I will wear to the competition. If I remember it right, he only has two weeks to finish it.

"Are you gonna make it to your deadline? This is a detailed design." I said as I helped him with some sequins.

"Yeah! I think I can finish this before the deadline." He said calmly.

"That's great! The gown is beautiful. I know you will win."

"Yeah. I really need the prize money and the scholarship." His eyes suddenly got sad.

"Oi, why are you sad?"

"Huh? nothing, nothing."

I stand up and walk beside him. he's busy poking the gown with sewing pins. "C'mon! We're friends. What's bothering you? Maybe I can help."

He looks at me for a couple of seconds. "I got rejected." He said in a sad tone. My heart suddenly pounds. I know that he's talking about what happened to the rooftop.

"Oh... Why? Why she rejected you?"

"I don't know... She kissed me then when I told her that I like her she then told me that she didn't like me. She never told me why. She just ran away and started avoiding me at school."

"Maybe there's a reason why she did that?"

"You know me, Akio. I can understand the situation. If she just tell me why."

I felt guilty. Maybe I should talk to him and give him the reason why I said no. He deserves it.

Days passed and it's the end of the class. I'm about to go to my club activity when I saw Mitsuya talking to a pretty girl. It looks like a confession scene, I immediately hide behind the wall and peek at them.

Wait, why am I doing this?

My heart pounds and it aches. Am I getting jealous? I saw the girl bows and Mitsuya too but I didn't hear what they talked about. Did he reject her? Or maybe Mitsuya is the one who confessed?

I peek again and saw him walk towards me, I panicked. It's too late he'll see me. I turn around and started to walk fast.

"y/n?" I heard him calling my name but I ignored him and walked faster.

"Hey." He grabbed my wrist.

"Hi! Oh! You're there." I let out an awkward laugh.

"Yeah. I was just..." He said, pointing from where he came from. "Nevermind."

"Okay?" I said and was about to resist his grip but he hold me tighter.

"It's good that you're here." He then pulled my wrist. He drags me to H.E room. There are no people here since it's the end of the class. He opened the light and there, in the middle is where the gown that we were working on was placed.

He took the grown from the mannequin. He's a hard worker. He was finishing this in his home and still brings the gown to school to continue working on it. That's one thing I like about him.

Ahhh! there it is again the regret.

"it's almost finished. here fit this so I can adjust."

"Who's that girl?" I said. Shoot! I can't hold it.

"What girl?"

"Did she confess? or did you confess? is she your girlfriend now?" Oh no! I can't control my thoughts.

"What confess? Why? Why are you asking me that? You rejected me without any explanation, Remember?"

I look down. "I know." I paused for a while to gather my strength. I shut my eyes tight, It is now or never and I don't want to live with regrets. I like him so much! I'll just work a lot harder to please dad.

"And I regret what I did," I whispered.

"What? I can't hear you."

"I'm jealous okay?! I'm jealous and I never been jealous not until now, when I saw you with some pretty girl okay? I rejected you because my mind is a mess that day but I regret what I did and I want to be with you! God knows how hard for me to see you every day but, I can't talk to you like before and-"

He marches towards me and cups my cheeks and kisses me. My eyes widened from what he did and it made me shut my mouth from talking. I then slowly close my eyes and kiss him back.

"I heard enough." He said after he let go of my lips, he's still cupping my cheeks. I slowly opened my eyes.

"All I want to say is... I'm sorry." I said.

"You are forgiven." He said with a smile. He was about to kiss me again when I stop him.

"Wait, But before we start dating I want to say something."

"Go shoot."

I took a deep breath before speaking again. "I may have other secrets from you."

"I will wait until you are ready to tell me."

"I am clingy, touchy, and pervy in some ways." I said in a serious tone.

"I will adjust." He chuckled.

"I hope when the time comes that I'll tell you my secret you won't leave me."

"I will not promise because promises are meant to be broken but I have a super wide understanding y/n. I will try my very best to understand you and be with you."

"Thank you." I hold his hand ang smiles at him.

"So... for the record..." He hold my hand and look into my eyes. "y/n will you be my girlfriend?." He said removing the locks of hair from my face.

"Yes, Takashi I want to be your girlfriend." I replied.
