Part 1| Chapter 1: Welcome to the Isle

08:46, 21 July 2025

On the Isle of the Lost, five teenagers were running through the island, causing as much trouble as possible.

Two twin girls, both with purple hair but one with a blue streak in hers, were spraypainting a door with Maleficent's symbol along with the slogan, 'Long Live Evil'.

Mal:

They say I'm trouble

They say I'm bad

Y/n:

They say I'm evil

That makes me glad (yeah)

A boy with a beanie slid down a pipe, flicking a few things along the way and stuffing them into his clothes which had many more pockets than could be seen.

Jay:

A dirty no-good

Down to the bone

Your worst nightmare

Can't take me home (yeah)

A beautiful blue-haired girl walked along ramp, flipping her hair and waving flirtatiously at the staring boys.

Evie:

So I've got some mischief

In my blood

Can you blame me?

I never got no love

A young white-haired boy climbed out of a window and stole a scarf. Then, he took an apple from a girl, bit it, and tossed it right back to her.

Carlos:

They think I'm callous

A low-life hood

I feel so useless

Misunderstood (hey-hey, yeah)

Y/n, Mal, and Evie:

Mirror, mirror on the wall

Who's the baddest of them all?

Welcome to my wicked world, wicked world

All:

I'm rotten to the core

Rotten to the core

I'm rotten to the core

Who could ask for more?

I'm nothing like the kid next

Like the kid next door

I'm rotten to the (core)

I'm rotten to the core

Mal, the purple-haired girl, spraypainted the letter 'M' on a shower curtain before pulling it open.

Mal:

Call me a schemer

Call me a freak

Y/n, her twin sister, then turned the water to the lowest section, so sewage water poured out of the tap.

Y/n:

How can you say that?

I'm just unique (yeah)

Jay entered a shop where a few men sat down for tea. He pretended to serve them tea, but instead nabbed the teapot.

Jay:

What, me? A traitor?

Ain't got your back?

Are we not friends?

What's up with that? (Yeah)

Evie spun through a bunch of cloths, appearing and disappearing from view.

Evie:

So I'm a misfit

So I'm a flirt

I broke your heart?

I made you hurt?

Carlos walked through a house where people were sleeping, doing everything he could to disturb their slumber.

Carlos:

The past is past

Forgive, forget

The truth is

You ain't seen nothing yet

Y/n, Mal, and Evie:

Mirror, mirror on the wall

Who's the baddest of them all?

Welcome to my wicked world, wicked world

All:

I'm rotten to the core

Rotten to the core

I'm rotten to the core

Who could ask for more?

I'm nothing like the kid next

Like the kid next door

I'm rotten to the (core)

I'm rotten to the core

The five VKs went to the center of the town and performed a dance number with a few locals.

All:

Rotten to the core

Rotten to the core

Rotten to the core

Who could ask for more?

I'm nothing like the kid next

Like the kid next door

I'm rotten to the

I'm rotten to the

I'm rotten to the core

Rotten to the core

I'm rotten to the core

Who could ask for more? (Who could ask for more?)

I'm nothing like the kid next

Like the kid next door (like the kid next door)

I'm rotten to the (core)

I'm rotten to the core

Mal stole a lolipop from a passing baby and held it up to the crowd, who laughed. But when a figured approached her from behind, they all screamed and ran away.

Mal sighed before turning around. "Hi, mom," she greeted.

"Stealing candy? I'm so disappointed," Maleficent told her.

"It was from a baby," Mal said.

"That's my nasty little girl," Maleficent smiled.

"She stole one lolipop," y/n muttered.

"At least she's trying. I don't see you doing anything," Maleficent snapped. Y/n fell silent, her face turning hard as stone.

Mal handed her mother the lolipop, who spit on it before putting it in her armpit. "Give it back to the dreadful creature," she ordered one of her henchmen, handing him the candy. Y/n made a face at her mother's actions, but did her best to hide her disgust.

"Mom..." Mal trailed off.

"It's the deets, Mal, that make the difference between mean and truly evil. When I was your and y/n's age, I was cursing entire kingdoms," Maleficent stated.

"Cursing entire kingdoms," Mal and y/n whispered in unison.

"You two," she laughed. "Walk with me. See, I'm just, just trying to teach you the thing that really counts...how to be me."

"I know that. And I'll do better," Mal promised.

"I should hope so. My first hasn't exactly inherited my talent..." she glared at y/n, "...but you have, and I'm sure you'll do excellently."

"Thanks, mom," y/n muttered, but Maleficent seemed to not have heard her.

"Oh, there's news! I buried the lead. You five have been chosen to go to a different school...in Auradon," she said.

Carlos, Jay, and Evie tried to run away, but Maleficent's henchmen grabbed them and prevented them from leaving.

"What? I'm not going to some boarding school filled to the brim with prissy pink princesses," Mal exclaimed.

"And perfect princes," Evie said dreamily. "Ugh," she quickly added when Mal glared at her.

Y/n shrugged. "A change of environment would be nice." 'Bascially getting away from my mother,' she silently thought to herself.

"Yeah, and I don't do uniforms," Jay stated. "Unless It's leather. You feel me?" he said to Carlos, trying to high-five him.

However, Carlos ignored him, his mind on something else. "I read somewhere that they allow dogs in Auradon. Mom said they're rabid pack animals who eat boys who don't behave!" he said fearfully.

Jay snuck up behind him and exclaimed, "Woof!" in his ear. Carlos jumped, then hit Jay for scaring him.

"Yeah, mom we're not going. Y/n is the only one on board, so forget it," Mal said.

"Oh, you're thinking small, pumpkin. It's all about world domination," Maleficent said.

"World domination?" y/n whispered to herself, wondering what her mother was talking about.

"Knuckleheads!" Maleficent called to her henchmen, gesturing for them to follow her.

"I guess that means we have to follow her too," y/n said with a sigh before walking after her mother, Mal and her friends following closely behind.
