Chapter 8

*Kakashi's POV*

It was around 5 days since the final exam at the academy and I was called to the hokages office for something, and was just getting to the good part of my book!

Anyway, moving on.

When I arrived some genin were there already talking to him.

"Ah, kakashi, now I know you aren't supposed to meet any genin just yet, because of the whole team situation, but I needed you all here." The hokage said from behind his hands that were linked in front of his face.

"What is it you needed Lord hokage?"

"Well it's about the living arrangements for Hatashi Yuki, Utaka Umi and Seki Ryuua." He confirmed.

"Ah, yeah the academy is ending so they don't have their house anymore. What is it you had in mind, and why are there genin here?" I asked calmly, when really I just wanted to get back to my book.

"You see, this is Itami Takeshi and Tenji Ruka, they both have clan compounds, however they both live alone in them." My eyes widened a little.

They both live alone? In such big compounds like the Tenji clan and Itami clan.

"And where were you thinking of placing the girls?" I asked.

"I refuse! None of those dimwits are staying in my clans compound!" Takeshi announced.

"That was not my plan Takeshi. My plan was to move you, Yuki, Umi and Ryuua, into the Tenji clan compound." The hokage informed.

I believe everyone was a little shocked by this, Takeshi was angry.

"Why the hell would I leave my clans compound to move in with those brats!?'" He said infuriated by the news.

The hokage sighed. "Well, I just thought it would be good seen as though Ruka would be the only male, and also because the Tenji compound is larger."

"Not happening! Find another bratty genin to live with their bratty friends." And with that the red head turned on his heels and stormed out of the room, slamming the door in the process.

"Well, Ruka, would all of this be okay with you?"

"Yeah, I mean yeah I'll be the only guy but hey, I'll survive somehow." Ruka laughed and winked before the hokage spoke again.

"Kakashi, I summoned you here to ask you to collect the girls at tell them the news. Go with Ruka also." I nodded then me and Ruka poofed away to the girls house.

*Yuki's POV*

"YUKI I SWEAR TO GOD! GET BACK HEAR YOU FUCKING FELINE!" Ryuua was yelling from upstairs as I was hiding downstairs while Umi was crying of laughter on the sofa.

Let's start with what just happened. Basically today was our day off and me and Umi wanted to go shopping, Ryuua however was too lazy so she said she was gonna sleep all day.

I, being the amazing person I am, decided to draw the Japanese sign for "Lazy" - 怠惰な - on her head, in sharpie.

She woke up to a, let's say 'creative' surprise!

"WHAT THE FUDGE WERE YOU THINKING?!" She roared while stampeding down the stairs.

"Omg, Ryuua, you might wanna get that washed off." Umi said in between laughs.

"Yuki, get out here, now." She said more calmly but I knew that that was the worst way she could say things.

I got up from behind the counter in the kitchen and tried so hard not to laugh at her face. She looked like she was ready to murder someone.

"H-hi Ryuua n-nice to see y-your awake." I put my hands up in defence. Man, I didn't want to get punched by her when she's mad.

"When I'm done with you, YOU WONT BE AWAKE!" And with that she charged at me while I screamed and Umi laughed.

In seconds i was pinned to the floor and she Was about to hit me on the head when a familiar pair arrived at the door.

"Are we interrupting something?" Kakashi asked raising an eyebrow as Ruka was hiding his laugh. He must have seen Ryuua's forehead.

It must be a strange sight. Seeing a girl with cat ears and a tail, being pinned down by a red head with the Japanese word "lazy" written on it, and another girl almost dying of laughter rolling on the floor.I'm guessing that's something you don't see everyday.

"So, should we come back?" Kakashi asked still confused as Ryuua got to her feet and went over to the sink.

"No, just a feline problem, I'll call the exterminators." She said beginning to wash her head.

"Hey! Meanie." I grumbled get up and walking over to the couch with Umi who was still recovering.

"Anyway, you guys need anything?" Umi asked who had stopped laughing and was brushing her hair.

"Yeah, it's about your living arrangements." Ruka grinned.

What's he planning? "Yeah, what about them?"

"The academy is ending soon so that means you have to leave this house." Kakashi informed us as Ryuua came back in still glaring at me.

She got most of the sharpie off but there was still a faint trace of it left.

"Oh, damn, back to living in the trees like squirrels!" I announced.

"Hopefully, you'll get stuck and we will have to call the firemen to get the cat down from being stuck in a tree." Ryuua grumbled sitting down.

"Not really, you girls are moving to a clan compound." Kakashi did a closed eye smile and I just sweat dropped.

"Very detailed explanation there kakashi." Ryuua also sweat dropped.

"What?" He asked confused.

"Which clan!" All three of us said in unison causing Ruka to chuckle and kakashi to go 'ohh'.

"My clan compound. You guys are moving in with me!" Ruka grinned and I face planted into a pillow.

"Whyyyyy!? Ewwww!" I whined and he just got an anime vein.

"Well it's my, luxury accommodation, of the forest. Your choice." He smirked and Ryuua sighed.

"Fine!" We all said and Umi laughed and I giggled.

"Well get your stuff and let's move." Kakashi said before disappearing. Causing us all to sweat drop.

"Kakashi is helpful as usual I see." Umi sighed gathering he things from her room.

Me and Ryuua did the same as Ruka lounged on the sofa.

"Leave it to the girls then?!" I called from up stairs.

"Yep! That was the plan!" He called back. I could practically hear him smirking.

After getting our things we headed to Ruka's place.

"Wow!" I squealed upon seeing the size of the place.

The colour scheme was loads of pretty greens, pastel and dark. The clan symbol was adorning the door and it was a simple green flower with a crystal in the centre. The inside was huge and modern with two sofas, a TV and the usual modern decor.

"Right there's 4 spare rooms up those stairs, and on the bottom floor, that way, there are 4 others. Take your pick." Ruka shrugged and sat on the couch and started to flip through TV channels.

"Okay thanks Rukaaaa!" I sang while skipping off up the stairs. Ryuua stayed down stairs and went the other way while Umi went with her.

Boring people! Stairs are great! I shook my head and began looking in the rooms.

One was painted dark green with black swirls and had a bed, draws and a wardrobe. Too dark!

The next had all bite walls with a bird painting on one wall. It had the same furniture as the other, it was plain and simple. Too simple actually.

Jeez in like fudging goldilocks! 'This room so good but this ones just right.' UGH!

In the next room across from it there was just plain green walls with no decor. There was a bed, sofa and TV along with the draws and wardrobe. I don't like the colour! I whined internally. Am I going to like any of these rooms!?

I sighed before moving on to the last room. Here goes nothing I thought while stepping inside.

The walls were painted the prettiest pastel green and had dark green vines painted on the top near the ceiling and flowing down wards. The balcony looked out over the little garden with koi fish and Sakura trees. There was a TV, sofa, desk and chair, wardrobe and draws. It was perfect! Yay I love it! I sat down on the bed and it was sooo comfy.

"Like it?" I turned to the voice and saw Ruka standing in the door way.

"Like it?! I love it!" I fell back into the bed and he chuckled shaking his head.

"It was my little sisters." He sighed and I looked up at him confused.

I thought he lived alone?

"She along with the rest of my clan moved to the hidden must village, but I decided to stay here. I haven't seen them in what, 6 years." He got a distant look in his eyes and I got up and walked over to him.

I was usually the perky, hyper person but now I was feeling sorry for Ruka.

"It's okay. Things will get better. Plus we are here now! We can be your family as well as your friends." I smiled while skipping out of the room.

He chuckled from behind me but followed me downstairs.

"Found a good room?" Umi asked from her spot on the sofa.

"Yep!" I said popping the P before walking off to find Ryuua.

I found her unpacking in a simple room with white walls. They were decorated with black and silver swirls. It had the same furniture as mine but didn't have a balcony, just a big window that lead straight outside.

"Have you unpacked yet?" She asked while putting her katana on the bed.

"Yeah."

"By that do you mean you threw you bag on the bed and left it there?"

"Yeah!" She rolled her eyes and then made her way out of the room, I followed.

"You like the room?" I asked her as we made our way to the living room.

"Yeah it's, simple, but hey I like simple, it's refreshing!" She smiled and i grinned and shook my head back.

"Guys we're late!" Umi told us while outing on her ninja shoes and grabbing her lightning blade.

"Oh right! The training session with the guys! I forgot!" Ryuua hurried back to her room and gabbed her katana and weapons pouch.

I collected my twin swords and strapped them to my back and slipped my weapons pouch to my hip.

"Hey Ruka! You coming?" I asked as we headed to the door.

"Nah, I'm good here. Don't come back late coz I'm making ramen!" He called back from the couch.

"We will definitely be on time then. Yay we're having ramen! I love ramen!" I smiled before running to catch up with the others and closing the for behind me.

Hmm, is Ruka okay? Normally he would be all over going for a training session? I shrugged off the thought and continued to walk. He'll be fine! It's probably his many hormones or something like that! I laughed I myself.

*Ruka's POV*

'We're here now. We can be your family as well as your friends! Her words replayed in my head like a broken record. Why can't I stop thinking about what she said?!

If she knew me.. She wouldn't want to be my friends.. Or my family..

I sighed and got up to go to my room. I locked the door and fell back onto my bed.

No! I came here to change! The past is gone.. The memories are still there.. But the past is gone.

And with that I went to go grab something to eat.

Oooooo cliff hanger!!!
