Chapter 29

When Tinsley and Jax pulled in to the drive way of their home, there were cars and bikes lining both sides of the street. It looked like all of SAMCRO and theirs loved ones were present. Tinsley was shocked to see Willow and Half Sack were there. Things must be getting pretty hot and heavy with those two. They seemed almost inseparable. Tinsley even noticed Opie's truck and Donna's car were parked out front of Jaxs house. They hadn't been around much since the whole fed issue. Jax had told her earlier that the details on the witness to Hefner's murder would be released to the public tomorrow. Tinsley couldn't help but wonder if Opie was the rat, why would he be here acting as if nothing wrong. But then again, peopel who were trying to hide something, trying to stick to do things as normal as possible.

There was a big banner strung across the front porch that said Welcome Home Abel. Black and blue balloon were on the mailbox and the porch. When the guests saw that Jax and Tinsley were home, they all filed out of the house and headed out on to the porch. Jax grabbed Abel's carrier and walked towards his house. Tinsley was snuggled into his side carrying thr diaper bag. As they got up onto the porch, everyone began hugging Jax and Tinsley welcoming them home and congratulating them on Abel. They walked into the house and up the stairs and placed Abel's carrier on the floor of his room. Jax took him out and handed him to Tinsley. She laid him on the changing table and checked his diaper. He needed to be changed so she changed him and got him redressed. She picked him up again and they both headed into the living room. They had a little time before he needed to eat. Everyone gathered around her trying to get a peak at him. He was passed around from member to member. Just as Tinsley got him back, he started to fuss. It was time for him to eat so Jax went to mix him a bottle. When he came back with the bottle, the front door opened and wendy walked in. No one knew why she was here. As far as Tinsley knew, no one had told her about the welcome home party.

Jax caught sight of her and pulled her upstairs into Abel's room to talk to her alone and hopefully avoid any type of scene.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Welcoming my son to his home." Said Wendy.

"You gave birth to him Wendy. You gave up your rights to him. Yo have no reason to be here" said Jax.

"Yes, I gave up my legal rights but he's still my god damn son. I gave birth to him. Not that bitch sitting out there holding him and playing the role of his mom." Said Wendy.

"I'm only going to tell you this once. Don't ever call her a bitch again. She has been sitting by that child's side at the hospital every day after work until visiting hours are over. No, she didn't give birth to him but she is his mother." Said Jax.

"What the bitch can't speak for herself?" Asked Wendy.

Before Jax would say anything, a cove came from the door.

"The bitch is right here. You got something to say?" Said Tinsley.

Jax hadn't seen her walk into the room.

"As a matter a fact I do. That's my son in there that you are playing mother to." Said Wendy.

"He stopped being anything to you the day you decided to shoot up. He stopped being your son the day you almost killed him. He stopped being your son the day you signed over all your rights. Speaking of shooting up, aren't you supposed to be in rehab?" Said Tinsley as she stalked closer and closer to Wendy.

"Not that's it's any of your fucking business, but I've been clean for 45 days. My treatment is over." Said Wendy.

"Big fucking whoop! 45 days! Someone get this girl a damn medal!" Said Tinsley.

"Tinsley..." started Jax.

"No! I will not have her come in my god damn house and disrespect me. That's right, I said MY HOUSE! I live here. I will be here every morning when Abel wakes up and I will be here every night when he goes to bed. And guess what, I'll be here when he starts to walk. I'll be here she be starts his first day of school, I'll be here when he had his first crush. I'll be here when he get his heart broken the first time. I will be here for every first he experiences. And where will you be? In out of rehab? Dead and buried because chose the needle over him again? You have already proved that its more important than him before." Said Tinsley, practically screaming are wendy.

"Tinsley, she gets the point" said Jax.

"Obviously not! She's still here. Leave! Get the fuck out of my house and don't you dare step foot back in here." Said Tinsley.

Wendy swing on Tinsley before Jax knew it was coming. Tinsley caught the movement though and stopped the punch. Tinsley punched Wendy in the stomach and when she doubled over holding her stomach, Tinsley grabbed her by her hair and drug her down the the stairs and through the group of people standing in the entry way by the front door. She drug her out of the house and threw her down on the yard.

"Now I told you to get the fuck out of my house. If you want to continue this, come back in eight months! I won't be pregnant then you junkie bitch whore!" Said Tinsley.

She turned and walked towards the house and all eyes were on her.

"You're pregnant " said Gemma as she pushed through the crown and out onto the front porch.

"You didn't call me" said Willow

A collective gasp was heard throughout the yard.

Shit!! Thought Tinsley. She hadn't wanted everyone to find out like this.

"Tinsley, did I hear you right when you said you were pregnant" asked Gemma again.

"Yes, you heard right.. we just found out today. Come to find out that's why I passed out earlier. I wasn't getting the right nutrition and I was drinking too much caffeine. Jax and I didn't want everyone to find out like this but.... surpriseeeee!" Said Tinsley.

The entire group began to shout their congratulations. Jax worked his way to her side and whispered in here ear "what happened to waiting to tell them"

"It just slipped" Tinsley said.

Jax just looked at her.

"Alright, I wanted to hurt Wendy for the way she talked to me. But it didn't mean for everyone to find out this way" said Tinsley.

"What am I going to do with you?" Asked.

"Anything you like as soon as these people are gone" said Tinsley.

The welcome home party was starting to wind down and people started to leave. Abel was in his crib sleeping and so the noice level had been lowered quite significantly causing people to start thinning out.

"I'm glad he's home" said Opie as he hugged Tinsley and Jax.

"Thanks man" said Jax.

"We need to get out of here. The kids have school tomorrow." Said Donna.

"You're right. We'll see you guys later" said Opie as he, Donna and the kids walked out the house.

More and more people started to leaving. Finally, everyone was gone but Gemma and Clay. Tinsley and Gemma started cleaning up. As they were putting the dishes away, there was a knock on the door. Jax walked to it and checked the peep hole to see who it was. It was Unser.

"Hey Jax" said Unser.

"Hey Wayne. What's up"? Asked Jax.

By now Tinsley, Jax, Clay, and Gemma were standing in the entry way.

"Thought I'd tell you guys this before you heard it from anyone else. Opie was killed tonight" said Wayne.

"What?" Asked Jax

"Are you serious" said Gemma.

"I'm afraid so. He was shot in the back of the head with an automatic rifle of some kind. Won't know much more than that until the medical examiners are done. Witness saw a gangster SUV speeding away from the scene. That's all we got right now." Said Unser as he turned to walk off the porch.

The four of them stood there in shock. 

Not long after, Clay and Gemma headed home leaving Tinsley, Jax and Abel alone. They locked up the house. Jax stood in the living room and Tinsley and went upstairs to check on Abel. He was sound asleep. She turned his baby monitor on and grabbed the portable base and clipped it to the waistband of her jeans. Walking back down stairs, she found Jax standing on the back deck. She walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around him.

"Are you ok?" She asked.

"He was by best friend Tins." Said Jax.

"I know baby." Said Tinsley

"Who could have done this?" He asked.

"Do y'all have any active beefs with anyone?" Asked Tinsley.

Not really. I mean the Niners were pissed that we started selling guns to the Mayans and showed just how mad they were when the guys went to deliver the shipment. But I don't think they would have done this" said Jax.

"Unser said it was a gangster SUV. That would mean it was the niners right?" Asked Tinsley.

"Not exactly. There were two different spots for the shipment. One drop was for the money and the other was for the gun. That way if ATF was watching, they couldn't catch us accepting cash for guns. Mayans could be thinking that we double crossed them and stole a Niners SUV to make us think it was the Niners." Said Jax.

"That makes sense I guess." Said Tinsley.

"This is going to kill Donna." Said Jax.

" I know. She was already wanting Opie out of the club because she was scared this was going to happen" said Tinsley.

"It's my fault" said Jax.

"What? Baby no, this isn't your fault" said Tinsley grabbing his face and making him look at her.

"But it is. When Opie got out of prison, all he talked about was leaving SAMCRO. I convinced him to stay. I convinced him that SAMCRO is what he needed. If I would have just let him leave, none of this would have happened. My best friend would still be alive. He wouldn't be lying on some cold slab in the county morgue with half his head blown off." Said Jax as he began to cry.

"There is a good possibility that he could be dead still even if he hadn't stayed in SAMCRO. He was working in the log woods. I knew some folks back home that used to talk about how dangerous it was. There was people getting killed all the time because of some kind of accident" said Tinsley.

"I know your right but it still doesn't make me feel any better about it." Said Jax.

"I know baby." Said Tinsley.

Jax pulled her to him and hugged her as tight as possible. His body shook with the force of his sobs for the loss of his best friend and brother from another mother. Seeing him like this broke her heart.

Abel stared to fuss so she broke their embrace and headed upstairs to check on him. It was time for him to eat so after changing his dapper, she went back down stairs and mixed him up a bottle. As she came out of the kitchen, she heard Jax's bike start and heard him leave the house. She didn't know where he was going but she hoped he as going to be ok.
