Chapter 49

( A/n: This is another Original episode, that's going to be in the place of Thawfest. This Episode is called " New Hope ". I hope you'll like it. This is part 1. )

The Riders were at Meryl's house as Stoick and Gothi had asked Meryl to watched over Liv's human body. Meryl placed the sleeping six year old in the bed of the spare room that Heather used to stay in. Evergreen jumped on the bed and curled up to the little girl. Astrid tucked the little girl in, and Meryl smiled at the blonde, who noticed.

Astrid: What?

Meryl: Nothing. I just find it sweet how you and Onyx sorta started acting like you two were Liv's-

Astrid: Don't finish that sentence.

Meryl: Alright, but you can't silence the truth.

Onyx was in the kitchen with the others with the book of dragons, Hiccup was drawing Liv's dragon form. Ruffnut was holding Tida in her arms, Tida was fast asleep.

Fishlegs: Onyx, do you or Meryl know what kind of Scalewalker Liv is? Or how she was able to fire those boulders at us without touching them?

Tuffnut: Liv? I thought her name was Mistake.

Onyx: Me and Astrid thought that the kid deserved a better name then " Mistake ". And no, Fishlegs, I've never seen anything like her kind of Scalewalker dragon, but... I do know how she was able to levitate those boulders. Remember the legend of the Galdr Scalewalkers we've told you about during the walk here?

Snotlout: Yeah. So?

Hiccup: Onyx, are you saying she is a...

Onyx: Galdr dragonet? Yes. She had the hair and eyes of a Galdr Scalewalker, and we already saw what she is capable of.

Tuffnut: Wow. Cool.

Snotlout: That makes sense why Alvin is keeping her. He's using her as a weapon.

Onyx: ( growls ) Exactly.

Fishlegs: We need to think of something to save her, but she thinks Alvin is good and we are bad.

Onyx: Don't remind me. The thought of how he is manipulating her makes my blood boil.

Meryl and Astrid then walked in and joined the others, Astrid placed her hand on Onyx's shoulder, calming him down.

Meryl: Well, I can tell you this. She has very delicate skin, there's extreme bruising around her wound. Gothi told me that the wound isn't as bad as it looks, and that it scar, but still.

Fishlegs: Maybe she's a HiveLing?

Meryl: Oh, no. She's definitely not a HiveLing.

Onyx: All of Outcast island would be dead and slaughtered if Liv was an HiveLing.

The Riders looked at their two Scalewalker friends with slight confusion.

Onyx: HiveLings are extremely protective of each other, if you harm or capture one of them, especially their young, they will hunt you down and, well...

Meryl: Rip you limb by limb, and feed you to the sharks.

Snotlout: Alright, good to know.

Hiccup: Okay... What about a SkySlasher?

Meryl: Nope. SkySlashers don't have two pairs of wings and they are slimer. And they don't have fur, none of the other kinds of Scalewalker dragons have fur.

Fishlegs: ( excitedly: ) Is it possible she's a new species of Scalewalker?

Onyx: More likely. Sense she doesn't look like any of the known kinds of Scalewalkers.

Hiccup: ( equally excited as Fishlegs ) What should we call her species of Scalewalker then?

Fishlegs: Well, her dragon form kinda looked like a butterfly.

Astrid: She's also a climber, like Onyx. She used her claws to climb onto the walls of the Outcast arena. She had the loudest roar I've ever heard. And her fire breath was nothing I've ever seen, it looked hotter than any dragon fires I've ever seen.

Then suddenly, the Terrible Terror that the riders have seen with Onyx before flew in with another thorn in its claw, it lands on Onyx's shoulder and showed him the thorn.

Onyx: ( to the Terrible Terror: ) Again? Hehe, silly terror.

Snotlout: How dumb is that terror if it keeps getting thorns in its feet?

Onyx and the Terrible Terror glared and growled at Snotlout.

Onyx: ( to Snotlout, sternly: ) Don't insult Sweet. She won't be afraid to scratch out your eyes out, and I won't stop her.

Meryl: So, that's her name. Let me guess, dragon guardian?

Onyx: Yep.

Fishlegs: A what?

Meryl: Sense Orphan Scalewalkers are very common, it's rare for a viking to take them in, because well, you know.

Onyx: But it's very common for a Scalewalker dragonet get taken in by certain species of dragon. Sweet, here, was the one that took me in when I lived in the woods, and she was the one that taught me how to climb. ( Removes the thorn from Sweet's claw )

Sweet purrs and nuzzles Onyx's cheek affectionately.

Meryl: I even have a few dragon guardians, but He's still not a big fan of Vikings and he understands that I'm independent.

Hiccup: How come you didn't mention him before?

Meryl: Because he asked me not to. And he said that if any of you hurt me, he'll burn the whole village alive.

Hiccup: All right, I'm sure we will all remember that.

Onyx: ( to the twins: ) And there's a big chance that Barf and Belch is Tida's dragon guardian.

Tuffnut: Why wouldn't he?

Ruffnut: Yeah.

Fishlegs: Wait, ( to Meryl and Onyx: ) Do you think it might be possible that a dragon on Outcast island will choose to become Mista- I mean Liv's dragon guardian? And we can try to befriend her through them?

Onyx: Judge by how Alvin is trying to train dragons. There's a high chance that he'll be putting captured dragons in the prison, with her. So, it's highly possible.

( Meanwhile with Mistake, on Outcast island )

Mistake was woken up by the sound of the Outcast soldiers puting something in one of the cells across from her, in her like of sight.

Outcast soldier: Watch out! It's a feisty one! Get in there you beast!

Once the outcasts finished putting the creature, in the cell, they left, and Mistake then saw a figure of a small dragon with a stinger at the end of its tail.
