Forever Lucky

The first house was way too big for me, too many rooms and a bunch of space I didn't need.

The second house was too small, very sharp corners and a very tiny bathroom. Like I can't be in a tight space, I'm claustrophobic.

The third house was just ugly and the fourth house was in a very isolated creepy looking neighborhood so no..

Hopefully this next house meets my standards.

But along the way, I had fun checking them out, only because of course my boyfriend was with me. Hobi's fun and free spirited personality is what I need around me. He never let my hand go and only pointed out the benefits of each house. Which of course I didn't agree with all, but appreciated it.

Detective Seung however, I can tell he's getting frustrated, since I haven't come to a decision yet :/

He isn't rushing me though, he wants to be sure I'm content with my decision and of course that I'm safe.

I really hope this next house is the one, I'm tired..

"Ok, here we are!" Detective Seung said.

Hobi and I looked out the window.

Hoseok: Perfect!

He said in English. We looked at each other and laughed.

Detective Seung got out the car as did us.

My house.

This is it.

Not too big, or too small, it's just right

DS: What do you think?

"It looks like my kind of house!"

Hoseok: It's close to the dorm too ^-^

I smiled at him.

DS: How about we get a better look at it.

I nod and hold my babes hand as we all walk inside.

I happily observed my surroundings.

Hoseok: Wow..this looks better than the dorm. Haha. *ashamed*

DS: Yeah this place looks so modern.

I smiled and looked at Detective Seung, "I'll take it." I said.

Hoseok: Jinjja !?

DS: Are you sure?

I nod eagerly, "Yes please! This is very suitable for me."

DS: Ok well..guess this is it.

I clapped happily.

Hoseok: Hey I have a question?

DS: Ask me.

Hoseok: Where's the person that sells houses? Shouldn't they have been here?

Oh yeah..that's a good question.

I can't believe I just noticed. .-.

My instincts started to kick in.

DS: Is there a problem I did it?

"Well..no-"

DS: I checked out all 8 houses available last week. So don't worry about the guide or whatever.

Figures, he's worked so hard.

I shrugged, "K whatever, lets wrap this up, I need to go see Lena."

DS: Ok. That was fast.

Hoseok: Yeah, but who cares. Let's go jagi~

We held hands.

DS: Wait don't you want to take a look around?

"Nah, it already looks amazing and I just want to see Lena."

DS: Ok then (:

With that, Hobi helped me get rid of the FOR SALE sign and then we left happily!

I walked inside and saw that Lena was set, she was waiting for her discharge papers.

"Lena!" I said happily and ran to her.

She looked my way and gasped, she ran right by me.

"Hobi!" She cheered and hugged my boyfriend instead of me.

Hoseok awkwardly hugged her back, "Hehe..haii.."

She pulled away, "This is like a dream come true! A BTS member to come and pick me up from the hospital!"

Hoseok looked uncomfortable.

"Ahem?" I cleared my throat.

She looked at me and smiled, "Of course I'm happy you're here too, it's just that Hoseok is a big deal, you know?"

I giggled, "Yeah whatever, come here." I said and I embraced her in my arms.

"I'm so glad you're ok...I promise from now on nothing bad will happen." I said.

She pulled away, "Hey don't make promises you can't keep, who knows what will happen when we leave this room. Lets just keep our gaurd up ok?"

I smiled, "Ok."

Hoseok: Shall we get going?

Lena: *gasp* he got my bags too! Oh my gawwddd this is so fucking cute!

Hoseok shaked his head timidly and left with her bags

"So when we get somewhere safe can you help me catch up? What'd I miss? Besides the obvious."

I sighed, "A lot, I got a new house-"

She gasped, "Already?!"

"Yeah..it's kind of funny."

"Omg spill it!" She demanded.

After Hoseok got her bags in the trunk of detective Seung's car we were driven home, along the way I told her what she missed. Hoseok also explained from his experience and of course she payed more attention to him than me. He's one of her bias wreckers, Jungkook is her ultimate bias.

At last we were safe and sound, back at Eunice's home.

DS: I'll leave you ladies to it. Hoseok can't stay unfortunately, sorry Mai.

"That's ok, I understand." I looked at Hoseok.

Hoseok: Same..but I'll definitely see you soon. Stay safe ok?

I nod.

With that, he closed the gap between us and kissed me ever so passionately.

I smiled within the kiss.

DS: Ok you'll be together soon, lets go now before your manager calls.

Hoseok broke the kiss and stared into my eyes, "I love you.." he said.

"I love you too.." I whispered.

Lena: SO FUCKING CUTE ^-^ !!

I giggled and looked at her, "Can you not?"

DS: Ok, I'll keep in touch with you, Mai.

"Ok detective, protect my boyfriend." I ordered.

He nods.

Lena: And mine too! Although he isn't my boyfriend but in my world he is! Protect them all! Please! Especially JUNGKOOK!

Hoseok got in the car and waved goodbye, detective Seung drove off.

Lena: PROTECT HIM! PROTECT THE MAKNAE! MY BABY! JUNGKOOK! JEON JUNGKOOK!

I laughed, "He gets the idea, Lena."

"Jungkook is my baby, god forbids something happening to him, I'd die of worrisome!" She said.

"He'll be ok."

"Of course I'll be ok, I appreciate the concern though. *winks*

Lena screamed very loud the minute she turned her head to see who just spoke.

Jeon Jungkook.

Her bias.

He smiled, "Wow!"

"Jungkook what are you doing here?" I asked.

Lena: omg omg omg omg omg omg

Jungkook: *giggles* I came to see Hwayoung.

"Why? How?" I asked as I grabbed my friend who was hyperventilating and dragged us all inside.

"Her dad went out so she called me to come over and keep her company." He said.

She calls him but not Jimin?

Just then, Eunice walked in with a tray of snacks.

We locked eyes.

Eunice: Oh hi.

"Uhm..hi?" I said.

Lena: Hello! I'm back. I heard what happened, I'm really-

Eunice: Don't.

Lena: Uhm..

Eunice turned on the tv and ignored us.

Is she still mad?

Guess she is..

"Go upstairs and unpack, we'll share a bed." I told her.

Lena: K..

Jungkook: Need help with those?

Lena squealed and simply ran upstairs with all her things.

Gosh such a fan girl.

Jungkook: Ok?

Eunice: Are you gonna eat?

"Yeah, after I help Lena settle in." I answered.

Eunice: I wasn't talking to you.

Jungkook: I'll eat, but noona, I heard you already found a house! Near the dorm too (:

I noticed Eunice rolled her eyes, uninterested, its like she doesn't care anymore. Her attitude is starting to irritate me. What did I do?

"Yeah I did," I answered, disregarding her actions, "It's just right, hopefully I'll move in within a few days."

Eunice: I hope so too...

"Huh?" I mumbled.

Jungkook: I'm glad to hear that, I hope you stay safe. A lot has happened and it's actually unbelievable.

Eunice: pfft tell me about it ㄱ.ㄱ some people are such burdens.

That's it.

"What's your problem?" I asked her.

Jungkook: O.O

Eunice looked at me bluntly.

"I get that you've gone through a lot but I also have gone through a lot. You act like you're the only victim here which you're not. Your attitude isn't going to help the situation or yourself. When are you ever going to get it? Why be so mean? I never did anything to you. I've always been truthful to you, so why? Why are you acting like this? Is it really because I'm a fucking burden to you? Well I'm sorry, but it isn't my fault my house was burned down. Aside from that, instead of having such a pissy attitude, why don't you change up your act to get on with your life? I'm almost out of here what more do you want? And to top it all off, why did you call Jungkook over and NOT Jimin? You know Jimin? Your boyfriend? The one whom you claim to love oh so dearly. Hm? Where is he?"

Jungkook: Can we all just calm down, I'll gladly leave if I'm the problem.

"No," I said, "You're not the problem here, nor is she, what I'm trying to figure out is why? Why make this more complicated? You're acting so distant when you should be supporting me, we need to support each other. This isn't supposed to make us grow apart, it's supposed to bring us together because only we know what its like as of right now." I said.

Silence.

Eunice's eyes lowered, they slowly got watery, I didn't even feel bad.

Jungkook: *sitting there awkwardly*

I'm waiting for a response.

Eunice: I just don't know what to do anymore...

I crossed my arms.

She looked at me, "I wasn't expecting any of this...to happen," she said sobbing a little, "It hit me like a truck..." she sobbed and covered her face, "I'm really sorry, I don't know how to cope with this..I've tried everything and nothing seems to be working.."

Jungkook was ready to go console her but I beat him to it. She burried her face in my chest and sobbed, "I just miss her so much...." she sobbed.

I held in my tears as I held her.

Jungkook: Hwayoung...look I have no idea how you feel but you have to remind yourself that you still have your father. You have Mai, Jimin.... you have me. We're all in this together.

She sniffled and pulled away, "I know but my mom was my first resort in everything. She was the first person I went to for anything..now that she's not here...I feel lost. I feel like I have to be cold and solid in order to learn."

"Sweety.." I began, "You're very strong," I told her, "But you don't need to do that or change your ways."

"I don't?" She said.

"No," I said, "if anything change for the better, not the worse."

Jungkook: She's right. You've made it this far, why join the dark side?

Eunice took a moment to think.

"Don't you want to put an end to Shin-Mae?"

Eunice: Don't say her fucking name.

I sighed

Eunice: Of course I want to put an end to that monster.

Jungkook: Then don't turn into her.

Eunice hugged me again.

Eunice: Forgive me unnie...I take back every mean gestured I did. I was stupid.

I smiled, "Its ok, as long as you know. We're a team remember? You're my closest friend. I got you."

Lena: Oh so what am I?

"You're my best friend, duh?"

Eunice got up and faced Lena.

Eunice: Hey, I'm sorry I was rude, it was dumb of me, glad you're back.

She went and hugged her.

Lena: Keke its good to be back.

Jungkook: Yeah (:

She pulled away and avoided his gaze as she smiled.

"Ok so.. Jungkook when are you leaving?" I asked.

Jungkook: Hm? Oh. Molla...I think I should go now, I mean Eunice isn't alone anymore. So-

Lena: Why didn't you call Jimin?

She asked Eunice.

Eunice: He's busy so he sent Jungkook.

WHAT!

The maknae lied to me ㄱ.ㄱ

"You came by yourself?" I asked him.

Jungkook: You think I'm an idiot? No. Officer Minseok is just out front.

Oh.

I didn't notice.

Lena: Wait..but I thought .?

Jungkook: He trust's me, don't worry I learned my lesson hehe. Besides, there's another one I got my eye on..

He looked right at Lena.

OMG.

Lena: O-oh..hehe..is jejfb..uhm..

She's totally freaking out.

"Ok Jungkookie! Time for you to go home, how are you getting there?"

Jungkook: Noona is so pretty.

"Huh?"

Jungkook remained staring at Lena as a slight smile hit his face.

Lena: *blushing tremendously she could die*

Eunice: Ok! Go home now before you get in trouble.

Jungkook: Hehe catch ya later ladies. Bye Hwayoung. Call me if you'd like, you too Lena~

Lena screamed and covered her face.

Jungkook: Hahha! This never happened before! ^-^

"What hasn't happened?" I asked.

Jungkook: A fan spazzing out this hard! Its so cute ^-^

Lena jumped and squealed.

"Yeah yeah you're handsome. Go on home now, be careful!"

Eunice: And stay safe!

Lena: I LOVE YOOUU!!

Jungkook: Love you too ^-^

Lena: *screaming*

I rolled my eyes, "Thanks Kookie, now she's gonna have a heart attack."

Jungkook: Hehe bye~

I made sure he got in the car he came in and drove safely.

Lena: OMG DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT?! OMG OMG OMG!

Eunice: Hehe I didn't spazz out that much when he kissed me.

Lena: No offense Eunice but stay away from him! You already have Jimin! Please leave the maknae alone Dx !

"Lena you're older than him." I reminded.

Lena: So? I look younger than I am.

True she looks like Eunices age.

Eunice: Keke do what you want, I know I have Jimin. Jungkook is pretty cute though, I'm sure he'd be interested in you.

Lena: *squeals* no don't say that you could jinx it! *screams*

"My gosh will you chill out?" I told her.

We all laughed.

-4 Days Later-

Times up, I'm going home today.

Detective Seung said I'll be blown away, although I'm not sure what he means by that yet.

Eunice seems to be back to normal, she's not rude anymore and in fact she got along with Lena very well.

These past days have been memorable, we went to amusement parks, museums, movie theaters, restaurants, we did it all.

The three of us grew SO close.

It almost feels like I'll be saying my farewells. Since I'll have my own place again, I hope I'll still be able to see Eunice. And Lena.

My best friend got her passport just the other day, I still haven't convinced her to stay. She might not want to.

Sigh oh well.

Hopefully everything will go back to normal.

"Mai which?" Lena asked.

"Which what?" I asked.

She held up two shirts, "Which shirt should I wear.?"

I giggled, "Does it matter?"

"Uh yeah? I wanna look good the second I step in to that smoken new crib~"

I rolled my eyes, "It doesn't matter..."

"K, pink it is then!" She said and dressed herself

I sighed and continued folding the little clothes I had.

"Hey you ok?" She asked.

"Fine.."

"You don't sound fine? C'mon! What's the matter? Aren't you happy you're going home?" She asked.

I shrugged, "Molla.."

"What is it?" She asked, getting up and sitting next to me.

We locked eyes.

"Lena?.."

"Mhm?" Her eyes lit up.

No matter what happens, we're not safe, I'm skeptical, paranoid, afraid..

Words can't describe how I feel right now, I know I'm supposed to feel happy and all but I don't

After all that's happened, I'm afraid it really will get worse. We cannot be sure everything will be ok because we've done so before and.. well.. it never turned out pretty.

I'm very afraid of what's bound to happen. I can almost picture it.

"Mai?"

"Sorry- I was just- ah... nevermind." I said and continued folding.

She grabbed my wrist, I yelped a bit.

"It's going to be ok." She assured.

Eunice: Are you girls ready ^-^? Detective Seung is here!

Here we go.

Lena: I'm ready as I'll ever be ^-^ ! Oh Eunice thank you so much for everything. I really don't know how to repay you.

Eunice: Keke its ok, just never forget me and keep in touch.

Lena: of course! Girl you're my little munchkin~

"Hey she's mine." I said.

They laughed.

I zipped up my small bag and went to hug Eunice.

"Stay safe unnie." She said.

A big knot formed in my throat.

I nodded as I pulled away.

DS: Girls? Mai?

Lena: We need to go ^-^ !

She grabbed her few bags and left.

Eunice smiled and left too.

I took one last look at the room.

I took a deep breath, "Hopefully this isn't the last time I'm here..."

DS: Mai?

"Coming.." I mumbled.

Detective Seung helped us get our belongings in the trunk.

Eunice: Bye Unnie! Bye Lena! I love you guys ^-^ call me!

Lena: Bye~

I looked back at Eunice with eyes of sorrow.

DS: You ok there, Mai?

Eunice smiled warmly at me.

My tears were building up and the knot in my throat was tighter.

Eunice: Mai?

I immediately ran back to her and embraced her in my arms, letting out a soft sob.

She held me, "Whoa..Mai..what-"

"I love you so much. You're the little sister I never had." I sniffled and pulled away, "You're all the family I never had. I cannot bare the thought of something happening to any of you."

DS: Mai...

Lena: ....

Eunice smiled, "I love you too unnie, we all do. Stop crying, we'll be ok."

I softly smiled, "Ok.."

We hugged once more then finally, I was ready to move in.

When we arrived it felt like nothing spectacular was going to happen.

Lena: THIS PLACE IS DAEBAK!!

DS: *giggles*

"Is it secured?"

DS: Definitely. You don't have to worry. You're house is on high alert.

I nodded.

Lena: Oh boy lets go in!

DS: Ok, here's the key, Mai would you like to do the honors?

"Me?" I pointed to myself.

Lena: Yas girl~ do it!

I mean..

DS: I really think you should do it.

"W-why?"

Lena: Ugh let me do it!

She snatched the keys.

DS: Wait-!

Lena unlocked the door and barged in.

"SURPRISE!!!!!!"

OMG.

Lena: *screeeeeech!*

DS: Aish..

"Lena!"

I ran inside and grabbed her, along with someone else before she nearly fainted.

I gasped, "Hobi.."

He smiled, "Hey babe."

Lena: OMG ITS BTS OMG OMG

We let her go and she immediately went and hugged Jungkook.

Jungkook: Keke hey noona..

Namjoon: Hehe well uh..hey Mai. Welcome to your new house!

Jin: That's near the dorm, you're welcome to come over whenever. Unless we tell you otherwise.

DS: I'll let you know.

Taehyung: We hope you like your new furniture and your first picture!

"My picture?"

He handed me a portrait.

It's a picture of them.

My heart felt all warm.

I looked up and smiled.

Yoongi: Sorry for the ugly faces, the cutest one's mine though.

Detective Seung and I laughed.

Jimin: HAHA. Very funny -_-

Taehyung: Do you like it?

"I love it." I said, "Hehe thank you.."

He hugged me.

Hoseok: Ah-ah! Hands off!

DS: Really? -.-

Namjoon pushed Hoseok away.

Namjoon: Aww come here Mai ^-^

He joined the hug.

Hoseok: Dude!

Detective Seung shaked his head.

Yoongi: Keke let me join~

He soon hugged us as well.

Taehyung: YO Jin! Jimin! Come join the hug!

I giggled, "You guys.."

The other two joined as well.

Hoseok: (ㅜ____ㅜ*)

DS: This is what you get when your girlfriend is too pretty. I wanna join!

He joined as well making the others laugh.

Jimin: Hehe yo Kookie! Come join ^-^

"Ugh..you guys..I can't..breathe.."

Hoseok: Where's Jungkook?

Everyone immediately pulled away.

Jimin: Where's Jungkook!

"Hey where's Lena?"

Yoongi: Aww shhiit.

Taehyung: Did they sneak away?

DS: There's no way. Jungkook! Lena? Where are you?. I'm gonna check outside.

Jin: That sneaky MAKNAE.

Namjoon: Should we leave em alone?

Jimin: NO! Something could happen!

DS: No sign of them.

My heart started to race.

Just then the two came walking down the hall with glasses of water.

"Lena." I said in relief.

Lena: Oh hey! Jungkook came with me to get some water.

Jimin: *huffs* someone was thirsty..

Lena: Huh?

"Water?" I retaliated. "SURE.."

Lena: What?

Jungkook: Keke they think we did something wrong..

Lena: Omg no! Jungkook is like my son. *hugs him cutely*

Yoongi: I find you very attractive.

Lena: T-thank you.. *blushes tremendously*

Yoongi: *smirks*

Taehyung: Can we eat the chicken wings we bought?

DS: Ah yes of course. Mai? Care to join us?

Jin: She has no choice, its her house.

True.

"What Jin said, lets dig in." I said.

They all cheered and opened up the boxes of delicious chicken wings.

I can't be more grateful.

Hoseok hugged me from behind and pulled me down the hall where we can be alone for a moment.

"Hehe what is it?" I asked.

"I want to be alone with you." He said.

I smiled, "Why so anxious?"

He cupped my face, "So I can do this."

His sweet lips pressed against mine.

Despite everything, I swear I'm forever lucky.
