This Stupid Ass Other Dimension

(Ashlynn's pov)"Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore." Clary says

"Welcome to the Seelie Glade, Clary Fairchild. The remotest edges of it." Meliorn tells her

"How did we get here?" Clary asks

"There are entrances all through the mundane world." Thomas tells her

"You just have to know where to look." Meliorn says

"Why did we have to come here to find my father?" Clary asks again

"Because of your necklace. It's a Portal shard." Meliorn tells us

"Tell us something we don't know." Jace says, I elbow his side

"How does it work?" Meliorn asks her

"When I touch the crystal and I think of someone, I can see where they are." Clary tells him.

"Wait, what? That doesn't make sense. That's not how Portals work." I tell her

"Exactly my thought Warlock. I'm curious, Shadowhunter, who knows so much about Portals, did you never wonder why this Portal shard doesn't behave the way normal Portals do?" Meliorn asks him

"Normal Portals can only take you to places you've been. I guess I never really thought about it." Jace tells him, he grabs my hand

"I see Isabelle is the smart one in the family. Your Portal shard works the way it does because it's a piece of a Portal from another dimension." Meliorn tells her

"Another dimension?" Clary asks

"You're saying there's a Portal in some other universe that can take us to anyone if we just think of them?" Jace asks Meliorn

"If you can find the only Portal still standing in that dimension it will take you to your father." Meliorn tells us.

(Pipers pov)"Then they put Jace in, and that can't be, you know Just, hold on one second. Where the hell have you been?" Alec asks us

"Where I needed to be. Away from you and your fiancee." Izzy tells him

"Same. Why would you think I would stick around here after I found out." I tell Alec

"Jace and Clary are on the run. I can't protect you two if you don't tell me the truth." Alec says to us

"I don't need protecting. Meliorn's alive. That's all that matters." Izzy says to him.

"I don't need your protection either." I say

"Just Hey, just-" Alec sighs "tell me this. Is there any way that Raj could have seen anything incriminating?" Alec asks us, I glance over at Raj

"I don't think you can call it an attack if no one got injured. We were ambushed." Raj tell Lydia

"How is that possible? Nobody outside the Institute knew about the mission." Lydia asks him

"It was dark. We couldn't see much.There were wolves and the others were hit with vampires. But I swear, the one that got me moved a lot like a Shadowhunter." Raj says, looking at us.

(Ashlynn's pov)"These trees are where the alternate dimensions intersect the Seelie realm." Meliorn tells us

"How is it possible that the Clave doesn't know about your dimensional doorways?" Thomas fires at him

"They are our most guarded secret.We are their protectors. Only Seelies know of their existence." Meliorn fires back

"Then why are you telling us?" Clary asks

"I owe you and the Warlock a life debt and I don't like being indebted to anyone." Meliorn tells us

"What would happen if-" Clary asks

"If the Seelie Queen finds out I've shared this with you? I could be executed." Meliorn cuts her off answering her question

"Well, we'll be extra careful then." Jace tell him

"There is no "we" in this scenario. Only Clary and Ashlynn go in to find the Portal. My debt is to them." Meliorn tells Jace

"You've given us no reason to trust you, Seelie." Jace hisses, pissed that he can't come in with us

"He brought us here." I tell him, he starts to prepare the Portal for the opening.

"I knew the Seelies were one with nature, but-" Clary says

"This will establish a connection to the other dimension." Meliorn says, before starting to make the Portal appear

"What's it like? The other dimension.Is it like this one?" Clary asks him

"It is but it isn't." Meliorn tells us

"Could you be more vague?" Jace says

"It is an alternate timeline, in a sense.There, Shadowhunters and demons no longer exist." Meliorn tells us

"What?" Jace says confused

"And Downworlders have conformed to the mundane way of life to avoid detection." Meliorn says

"What happened to the Shadowhunters?" Thomas asks him

"Their services were no longer required, because they won the war against the demons, centuries ago.Once they sealed the rifts between their worlds, their culture faded away. Once you arrive in the alternate dimension, you will assume the body of the Clary and Ashlynn in that world. You will think and feel just like them." Meliorn tells us

"But we'll still know we're us, right? We'll know we have to find the Portal?" Clary asks him

"There's a catch. With Seelies, there's always a catch." Jace tells us, I scoff

"Your alternate self could consume you if you let it." Meliorn reminds us

"Is there a way to not let it?" Clary asks him

"Focus on the differences between that world and ours. Find something or someone to keep you two grounded to this one." Meliorn tells us

"Easy enough." Clary says looking at Thomas

"It will be more difficult than you think. If you don't hurry, you could cease to be this world's Clary Fairchild and Ashlynn Bane." Meliorn reminds us

"And be stuck in that world forever." Clary says.

"I just need to be sure it's safe. Just in case we don't make it back." Clary says, giving the Cup to Thomas

"She's right. The Cup needs to be secure incase the Portal isn't found and we get stuck there." I tell Thomas and Jace

"You're coming back." Jace tells me, grabbing my hands

"What do either of us know about interdimensional travel?" Clary says to us

"Little bit." I tell her

"Not helping." Clary tells me

"It's time." Meliorn says, finishing the Portal apperence.

"Meliorn, I appreciate the risk you're taking, but a life debt requires you ensure our safety. I'll agree to go alone with Ash but if we find this alternate Portal, we won't be able to face Valentine on our own." Clary tells him

"They'll need backup." Jace tells him

"If you find the Portal, you may come back for them." Meliorn tells us"Shadowhunters need Seelie permission to go through. Only demons can pass through unaided." Meliorn reminds us.

(Pipers pov)"I'm sorry." Lydia tells Alec

"For what?" Alec asks

"Isabelle Lightwood, Piper Graymark by order of the Clave, you two are under arrest for high treason." Lydia tells us as we are grabbed

"What? On what grounds?" Alec asks

"Only a handful of people knew about the Meliorn op." Lydia reminds us

"And everyone knows Isabelle's sleeping with him." Raj tells her

"You know what, Lydia? You're no better than Valentine. But at least he had the guts to tell Downworlders to their faces he wanted them all dead.You hide behind the Law." Izzy tells her

"I don't hide behind it, Isabelle. I simply follow it. Because it guards against one very important thing.Shadowhunters fighting other Shadowhunters." Lydia tells us

"If they're is convicted, they'll be stripped of their runes and banished. I can't let that-" Alec tells her

"Don't. It's not your fight." Izzy tells him

"It's ours." I say as we get pulled out of the room.

(Ashlynn's pov)I arrive in the dimension to be walking in the park holding hands with someone. I freeze and take in my surroundings.

"Hey Ashie, you good?" I hear a voice ask me, I look over and Thomas is holding my hand.

"What're you doing? Let go!" I tell him

"Baby, cutie. Are you feeling alright? Too much sun?" Thomas asks me, oh my gosh, I'm dating Thomas. In this reality, you've got to be kidding me.

"Ya I'm fine babe, sorry. Dun must've just gotten to me quickly. I need caffeine, that'll probably wake me up." I tell him, I wish I knew what she's like so I could act like the me in this dimension but I honestly have no clue. I look down and see a pink short skirt, convers and a black blouse, okay she definitely has a very different taste then me.

"Ashie, that's where we're headed. Let's go then." He tells me and grabs my hand, I hate this stupid other dimension.We get there and walk over, I see Piper who's wearing I fancy boarding school uniform and has glasses, Izzy is wearing a Star Wars shirt and has glasses, and Alec's hair is gelled. What is wrong with this dimension. I sit down as Thomas goes to get coffee.

"Hey Piper!" I say, she looks up and smiles

"Hey Ashie, you excited?" She asks me

"For..?" I ask confused.

"Ha ha very funny. This party means so much to me and you're just going to joke about it?" Alec tells me. I just nod

"Ashie, you, Piper and Clary are all coming to get ready at my place before the party. Remember?" Izzy says to me

"Of course I do, I was just messing." I tell them, they look at me weirdly before Piper starts talking.

"Izzy does Clary have to come? I mean i'm polite and all but you know she aggravate me." Piper says, she seems stuck up in this dimension.

"She's my friend, so yes." Izzy replies, Clary and Simon walk over.

"Simon, I do not have time for coffee today." Clary tells him

"No, no, no. I know that look in your eye. And when you get that look, I either have to caffeinate you immediately or accept full responsibility for you killing someone. And you know how I am with blood." Simon says and grimaces, Clary looks at me confused, I just give her a look that says go along with anything that happens.

"Is that new?" Izzy asks her

"Yes, I got it a couple days ago." Clary tells Izzy

"Oh, it goes with your dress? Because you're getting ready at my place tonight, right?" Izzy asks

"Ready for what?" Clary asks us, I give her a look that says don't ask but she still did.

"That is not even a little bit funny.I have poured my heart and soul into planning this anniversary party for the Institute. And the theme is amazing." Alec tells her, Piper rolls her eyes.

"Carrot, did you and Ashie get amnesia or something today, your dad is hosting the party." Piper tells her.

"But, seriously, what is with this guy and the Mad Hatter?" Alec asks

"Visionaries are quirky crazy. You don't get 4D Internet tech thinking inside the box." Izzy defends

"I'm beginning to wonder if you don't have a thing for your boss." Piper says to her

"Like, if Clary's dad would ever go for me." Izzy says smiling

"Wait, my dad?" Clary asks confused

"Uh No, I'm totally kidding. I mean, I'm not crushing on your dad, right? No." Izzy says defending herself and puts in some headphones

"Right, of course not. That'd be totally weird." Clary says to her as Simon and Thomas come back

"Yeah. Mmm-hmm." Izzy agrees.

"Order's up." Simon tells her and Thomas comes and gives me coffee.

"Hi." Clary says to Thomas, he aIgnores her and just wraps his arm around me. I give her an I'm so sorry look and take the coffee.

"We're setting up at 6:00, right? Yeah, okay. I need your help tonight loading. This gig could be huge for me." Simon asks her as Jace walks over. I freeze seeing him. I watch as he walks up to Clary.

"Hey." Jace says

"Hey." Clary says knowing what was about to happen

"You wanna get out of here?" Jace asks her

"Sure." Clary says and gives me the same look, he pulls her to the truck and starts making out with her. My mood plummets even more than it was before. Thomas starts talking with Alec but I'm not listening.

"Stop!  I'm sorry, I can't." I hear Clary say before taking off.

"Clary." Jace yells after her.

"Hey I'll go talk with her. She's just got a lot on her mind." I tell everyone, Piper gives me a weird look

"Since when are you friends with Carrot?" She asks me. I just shrug and go after her. I catch up and grab her arm.

"Oh thank god it's you. Ash I'm so sorry about Jace I had no clue-" she starts

"It's fine. Trust me I was pissed when I found out I had a thing with Thomas in this dimension. Listen we need help finding the Portal." I tell her.

"Magnus runs a business here, could he help?" She asks me.

"Let's go visit my brother."

"The Lovers. You are in a loving relationship." Magnus tells her flipping the Tarrot cards"This man has a strong hold on you. You feel a magnetic attraction to him that you cannot escape. Tonight will define your relationship. Oh. You hope he is your soul mate. But secrets revealed will threaten to tear you apart." Magnus says to her, I can tell she is starting to fade away when I cat jumps startling her.

"You don't have a cat." Clary tells him

"I have two. Chairman Meow and Church." Magnus comments

"I'm not actually here for a reading.I know you're a warlock, Magnus. I'm a Shadowhunter." Clary tells him,he laughs

"There are no more Shadowhunters.Haven't been for hundreds of years." Magnus says

"She not lying Magnus, I can vouch for her." I tell him and walk over.

"Ashlynn, you actually talk to me now and adress me by Magnus?" He asks me

"What?" I ask him

"I can prove it." Clary tell him inturupting us, she turns around a d points to her shoulder.

"All I see, Shadowhunter is you could use a serious tan." Magnus tells her.

"Right. Bad strategy. No runes in this dimension. I'm from an alternate reality." Clary says to him

"We're."I correct.

"If that were true without an anchor, you'd be assimilating into this world." Magnus tells us

"Believe us, we are trying to fight it.Which is part of why we need your help." She tells him

"Mag please listen. In our dimension, Shadowhunters still battle demons.And now there is something so much worse. We need your magic to help us stop it." I tell him as Clary draws the demon and shows him

"I can't help you. My magic's gone dormant." Magnus says "And so has yours." He tells me

"Then wake it up." Clary tells him.

He makes a drink and drinks some"This better work." Magnus says to us. I go to grab some but he stops me."Sorry Ashlynn, my sister from this dimension would not be happy to come back and have her powers." I nod

"What does that do?" Clary asks him

"Hopefully kick-start my magic." Magnus yells us

"And?" Clary asks

"Give it a minute? That book is very precious. Warlock spells preserved in all their grandeur." Magnus tells her as we walk over to the book that Clary's looking at.

"It's stunning." Clary tells us

"This isn't working. This is the longest I've ever abstained. From a lot of things." Magnus adds

"Why don't you just try something simple? Move that." Clary tells him, he tries to move is but struggles and fails

"Usually, you have a little bit more of a flourish to it." Clary says showing him how he normally does it.

"I do not look like that." Magnus tells us

"Well-" Clary says, he gives her a glare "Magnus, we just have to find the Portal." Clary tells him

"Even if my magic was working, I'd still need an energy signature of some kind to track it." Magnus tells us.

"Maybe we try something different.I don't know how this came into this dimension with me." Clary tells him showing the necklace

"Because it's of this dimension. It belongs here." Magnus tells her, he grabs it and magic pulses through it.

"Oh. Now that's what I'm talking about. We have lift off. The energy is very faint. It's been dormant for a long time. Like me. Let's see if we can wake it up." Magnus says and wakes it up.

"Can you see it?" Clary asks him

"Yes. It's in a subbasement of Fort Knox." Magnus tells us

"Like, literally Fort" I ask him

"No, but it might as well be. The Institute." Magnus tells us

"Why is that a problem?" Clary asks

"High tech, high security. Impossible to get into." Magnus tells us

"And hosting an anniversary party tonight that we have the hookup to." Clary tells him, my phone goes off and it's Izzy with an emergency. Clary's goes off too.

"Damn. Meet us tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Institute. Dress to impress." Clary tells him.

(Pipers pov)"Keep it short." Raj tells Alec.

"Jace stole the Cup. Izzy, Piper, did you two know about this? My God, did you guys help him? The Cup is the only thing that can get you two out of this." Alec tells us

"Jace is doing what he thinks is right." Izzy says to him.

"What's right? He put the whole Shadow World in danger. He put you guy in danger. We have to get him back here. With the Cup. It's the only thing that can help you." Alec tells us

"They've taken Meliorn back to the Seelie realm. You can't track him there." I tell him

'Not by any of the normal ways." Alec tells us

"No, absolutely not. You cannot track Jace through your parabatai bond." Izzy says to him

"It will weaken both of you. Or break the bond." I tell him.

"Jace already weakened it. How does he think I can trust him after what he did?" Alec states

"Don't say that. Please, Alec. Think about what you're doing." Izzy tells him.

"Please Alec." I say.

(Ashlynn's pov)"What's the emergency? Oh, my God.What happened?" Clary asks Izzy when we walk in and see the bruise.

"Kickboxing class. I thought, "Why not? Quick class after work. And, boom! Home in time to see you." Izzy tells us

"Well, you got the "boom" part right." I say to her.

"Andrea's foot right into my face. She has to pick today to finally land her roundhouse?" Izzy says freaking out

"It's It's okay. We'll fix it." I tell her

"Oh, my God. What are people gonna think? And then Alec worked so hard to plan this. I just cannot not go to the party. And what am I supposed to do? I worked so hard." Izzy tells us as I sit her down.

"Hey. Hey, we're gonna fix it." Clary tells her

"Okay. But then we have to fix you and Jace, because the two of you not talking really messes with my chi." Izzy tells us, I get slightly annoyed again and grab the colours. Clary ad I start working on her face."Are you sure those are the colors?" Izzy azks us.

"We will make it work." Clary tells her

"Okay, because if I don't show up to the party, your dad and Simon are so gonna kill me." Izzy reminds u

"So, um do you think you could get a friend of ours on the guest list for tonight?" Clary asks her.

"Um well, if you make this work, I'll do anything for you two." Izzy tells us.Apparently I kept my dress here. When I looked at it I was in shock at my taste in this dimension. I really don't have any taste do I? It's a coral dress, the top is outlined in silver. At the waist it poof out a bit, but is one single layer, each strap ties around my neck and creates a bow. It doesn't suit me at all. I find out what I was going to do to my face and hair, but that was worse. So I decided to deal with the dress, but do natural colours for makeup, and have a braid going around my head and merging into a bun in the back. I fixed it, even though the dress isn't good, I can't rock it. I walk into the party and see Piper, she's in a beige, short dress with flowers and vines over it, her hairs in a braid twist style and she isn't wearing her glasses.

"Hey Ashie, you look stunning." Piper tells me

"Thanks Piper, I changed the hair and makeup last minute." I say

"Thomas is going to flip when he sees you." She tells me.

"That's what I'm going for!" I say grinding my teeth, Clary and Mag better hurry the hell up, I can't deal with this stupid ass dimension.

"Whoa, Ashie baby. You look.. stunning." Thomas says as I aproach him.

"Thanks Thom." I tell him blushing, he grabs my hand and pulls me into his arms.

"Let's dance." He says, I start to fade away, glancing around at the Institute and seeing Piper and Alec looking so happy.

"Hey have you guys seen Clary?" Jace asks us

"The redhead?" I ask Jace, he nods

"Nope, ask Izz, she invited her to get ready with my, studious and her earlier." I tell him and go back to dancing with my boyfriend. I see Valentine and freeze.

"See, I was obsessed when I was a kid.Alice looked into the mirror and fell into another dimension. Well, it must have stuck with me, because, when I grew up, I looked into the Internet and realized it needed another dimension." Valentine says as I snap back into it. I lost myself. What would've happened if I didn't snap out of it? I would've lost myself.

"And our 4D, breaking-the-speed-barrier Internet was born." Izzy tells the group

"Says my talented developer. People said I was mad, so I owned it, hmm?" Valentine says smirking, I need to find Clary, and fast. The longer we're here, the easier it is for us to lose ourselves.

"Thank you so much for the gig, Mr. M." Simon says to Valentine

"Dimon, how many times do I have to tell you?" Valentine tells Simon

"Sorry Val." Simon says and does some handshake

"Poker night. Next Saturday, all right?" Valentine tells him

"Yes! Is Blackwell is gonna be there? 'Cause that guy is a sore loser." Simon asks

"Yeah, that's 'cause you bled him dry.If you'll excuse me, I have some pressing matters to attend to.Take care." Valentine says and goes to dance with Jocelyn. I see Clary standing on her own.

"Hey Thomas, baby? I'm going to go talk to Clary, tell her Jace is looking for her?" He nods and let's me go. I walk over to her.

"Clary we need to hurry the hell up. I almost lost myself there." She nods and Jace walks up.

"May I?" Jace asks her. My mood that was already at a -10 just back me a -500.

"I'll go wait by the door." I tell her.

"Jace. Hi. Um" I hear Clary says

"Clary, what's going on with you?" Jace asks her

"Nothing." Clary tells him

"So This must be the Jace I've heard so much about." Valentine says to Jace

"Uh, yes, sir. Yeah." Jace says

"Sir is for my father. Call me Mr. Morgenstern." Valentine informs him

"Okay. Um" Jace studders

"Uh, Dad, this is, um, our song." Clary inturupts

"Oh, right. Nice to meet you." Valentine tells Jace

"It was a pleasure to nice Uh, nice to meet you as well." Jace fumbles as Valentine walks away."Damn it." Jace curses, Clary goes to walk towards me but Jace stops her.

"Uh, Clary What What's going on with you? - You - You ran away from me this morning. And you you didn't respond to my texts all day, and now you won't even dance with me?" Jace says hurt

"I'm sorry, okay? Really, I am.I just I've got a lot on my mind." Clary tells him.

"Just one dance." Jace bargains.

"Fine. Okay. One." Clary agrees

"One?" Jace asks

"One." Clary says

"You got somewhere else to be?" Jace asks her. Magnus arrives and tries to get in, I know I won't be able to get him in but apparently he's not on the list.

"Dammit Izzy." I curse.

"Check it again. I told you, I'm on the list." Magnus says to Raj

"You're not here." Raj tells my brother.

"What seems to be the problem?" Alec asks, dammit, if Alec gets rid of him.

"This one wants to crash the party." Raj tells Alec

"Alec he's my brother, he was supposed to be on the list. Izzy was going to put his name on."I tell him, Alec nods.

"I'll be responsible for this one. Come on in." Alec says, Magnus walks over to me. We walk into a corner and wait for Clary

"All right. I'm gonna ask Izzy to move in with me." Simon says to her.

"Oh, my God, Simon. She's totally gonna say yes." Clary tells him.

"You think so? I mean, I don't know.Maybe it's a bad idea. Like a really bad idea. It could be a bad idea." Simon says

"Simon, look into my eyes." Clary says giving him a weird stare

"The Dracula stare." Simon says

"Mmm-hmm." Clary hums

"Well played." Simon says and they both laugh

"Okay, I'm good. I'm good." Simon says and looks at Izzy

"All right. Go get 'em, tiger." Clary says

"Okay." Simon says and walks off. I walk up and grab Clary's hand

"Come on, let's go." Magnus says to her

"Who are you?" Clary asks him

"Clary, it's me, Magnus." Magnus tells her

"Do I know you?" Clary asks "Ash why are you talking to me? And who is this guy?"She asks

"Focus." Magnus tells her

"Okay, seriously, let go of me." She tells me as Magnus uses his magic to show her his cat"What is wrong with you? Dude, I-" Clary says as Magnus shows her a symbol from the book."That was close." Clary says to us

"You're telling me." I say to her.

"This way. Let's go." Clary says to us. She opens up a board from the wall and we all go through.

"What are we even looking for?" Clary asks once we get down there

"I'll know it when I see it." Magnus tells us

"What if this doesn't work?" Clary asks him

"It will, biscuit. I can feel it." Magnus says before I look back and see Jace and Thomas walking down the stairs.

"You know, if you were having second thoughts about us, you could have told me, instead of coming down here and hooking up with some random guy." Jace says to Clary

"Ashie, what's going on? We're good right?" He looks so hurt

"Jace, this isn't exactly a good time." Clary says to him

"Really? You know when would be a good time for me, Clary? Never.Never call me again." Jace says before storming off, a demon pops out of no where."What the hell is that thing?" Jace yells, Thomas is frightened.

"Let's go." I say, Clary grabs Thomas and I grab Jace and we pull them out of sight.

"It's okay. It's okay." I say comforting Thomas and Jace. A pulse of energy flows and Jace and Thomas stop shaking."Thomas?" Clary asks

"Yeah. You okay?" Thomas asks and Jace looks at his suit.

"Jace? Please tell me it's you." I plead, Jace looks at me.

"Ash everything okay?" He asks and hugs me. I hug him for dear life.

"Thank God, it's you two." Clary says

"Mind filling me in?" Jace asks me, the demon comes out of nowhere.

"Jace!" I yell, I run over and grab a wooden pole, hand one to Clary and start beating this demon. Jace and Thomas snap brooms and join in. We hold him off when Jace gets stabbed in the neck. We shove the wood into the demon knocking it out."Jace? Jace. Oh, my God! Jace, it's okay, it's okay. Breathe. Jace?" I tell him as he tries to open any blockage to his neck.

"Where's my stele?" Jace asks

"It didn't come through with you." Clary tells him.

"You're gonna need more than a stele for that." Magnus says to us looking at the wound.

"Will Portaling him back to his own body cure him?" Clary asks Mag

"No. Blood travels with you. It's why your angelic powers still work here. The demon venom is in his blood." Magnus tells us

"Then we have to get him back to the Institute in our dimension." I say to them

"No, we've gotta find Valentine." Jace tells me

"Jace, you're in no condition to fight." I remind him

"We might not get another chance, Ashlynn. This is too important." Jace tells me.

"I found it! Come on." Magnus yells to us.

"Magnus. You'll have to destroy the Portal after we go through." Jace says, I'm helping him stand up and he's struggling to talk.

"Why?" Magnus asks

"To secure your dimension from all sides. Otherwise, if it stays open, you'll be vulnerable to demon attacks again." Jace tells him

"I'll take care of it and the malodorous monstrosity on that table. Thank you." Magnus tells us

"Well, I should be thanking you." Clary says

"No you gave me back a life. I won't forget it. Now, go." Magnus says to us.

"I'll miss you Mag." I hug him.

"I wish my actual sister got along with me." Magnus says.

"Try and make an effort with her to talk to her. She'll come around." I tell him

"Think of your father." Thomas tells Clary, as we all go through the portal, me and Thomas holding each of Clary's hands.

(Pipers pov)"Hey. Hey, Alec!" Raj yells at Alec.

"Just Just wait." Alec tells him and shuts the door

"What happened? Are you and Jace okay?" Izzy asks

"No. Our parabatai bond, it's just so weak. He's like a ghost." Alec claims

"Alec, what did you do?" Izzy says

"Lydia and I thought we could stop the trial if we gave the Cup to the Clave." Alec tells us

"Lydia helped you?" Izzy asks

"It doesn't matter. She has no choice but to go through with the trial now." Alec says to us, we sit down and each hug him

"It's okay, big brother. I know you tried." Izzy tells Alec.

"I'm sorry." Alec tells us.

(Ashlynn's pov)"Jace. Okay. It's okay. It's okay. I'm here, it's okay." I tell him once we make it through, Jace lays on the ground and pulls out his stele.

"No going back now." Jace tells us as he tries to heal.

"Magnus was right. It's not working." Clary says to him, I use a bit of magic to try to stop the vemon flow.

"It's enough." Jace tells us and stands up.

"What is all this?" Clary asks looking at the table's of different potions.

"The makings of an army. There's no one here." Jace says to us.

"Did Meliorn lie to us? He said that that Portal would take us to my father." Clary says

"No, he was here, maybe he just left?" I offer, we hear rattling as Jace pulls me behind him

"Get behind me." Jace tells the others. We get closer to the locker and Jace opens it. Why isn't Thomas leading, Jace is still weak. I see an adult man curled up in the corner.

"It can't be. It can't be. You died. I saw it." Jace says to the man

"Jace?" I ask him, grabbing his arm and pulling him slightly back and out of danger.

"Jace is it really you?" The man says to him

"Jace, how do you know this man? " Clary asks confused

"He's my father." Jace gasps, I gasp as well and Jace loses his balance,  putting his weight on me.
