(Ashlynn's pov)"Dad?" Jace asks and helps Michael up

"Son." Michael says as he and Jace hug."Oh, Jace. I can't believe it. Son, you're hurt. How did you find me?" Michael asks us.

"You're dead. Valentine killed you. Valetine's Valentine's here." Jace says panicked

"No, Jace. It's me." Michael tells him, Thomas Clary and I walk closer and Michael turns to us"I'm Michael Wayland. I'm Jace's father. Look, I know what Jace told you, but I've been here for ten years. Valentine took off and left me." Michael tells us

"And Jocelyn Fairchild?" Clary asks

"He took her with him. You are?" Michael asks us

"I'm Ashlynn, it's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Wayland, this is Thomas." I tell him and point to Thomas who's focased on Clary.

"I'm Clary, her daughter. Meliorn, the Seelie, told me that he was here with her." Clary tells him, Jace falls as I grab him

"Jace, no! It's Ravener venom. He kept telling us he was all right." I tell Michael as Jace rests on me.

"We have to find Clary's father, not my father. Valentine's-" Jace says before losing air.

"His stele. Where is it?" Michael asks us

"Uh back pocket." I tell him

"Back pocket. Got it." Michael grabs it and tries to use the rune to heal

"What's wrong?" Clary asks him

"The rune is weak." Michael tells her

"Ravener venom must be spreading. We have to get him help. We- we closed the Portal." I says starting to panic, before suggesting that I could create one Michael stops me.

"Valentine's got a standing Portal. Let's go." He says to us and we start walking. Michael helps me hold Jace as we walk."Hey, Jace, stay with me. Hey. Do you remember our first demon fight? We were way out past the Institute, way up at Kinshasa. You were only eight, but you were so brave. Do you remember what you said?" Michael asks him

"I'm ready to die." Jace responds

"And then I said, "Sometimes it's as brave to live as it is to die. Do you remember?" Michael asks again

"I do. It's true. It's you." Jace says to him, they both smile.

"Let's go." Michael says to us and Clary grabs mine and Thomas' hand and transports us.

(Pipers pov)"All I know is, we gotta get you two out of here. All right, who do we know in Idris?" Alec asks us

"The only people who care are Mom and Dad. But they're under suspicion themselves." Izzy reminds him

"Uh, what about Lydia?" Alec suggests

"Lydia?" I ask him

"Yeah." Alec says

"Why do you keep going there? She is prosecuting us. You said she had no choice." Izzy says to him

"She doesn't." Alec confirms

"Everyone has a choice, Alec. We made ours. Let me just get through this without losing my self-respect." Izzy says to him

"Look, I know you don't want to believe this, but Lydia said she would help if we can give her a way to do it. Maybe I can get her to delay the trial." Alec says to us

"Why? So we can sit here, playing computer solitaire, while they find something else to blame us for?" Izzy tells him

"We're just a scapegoat to the Clave. They want the Cup." I remind him

"So let me buy some time to find it. Hey, Jace and Clary-" Alec says

"Disappeared through a door to God knows where. You said they're lost forever. And so is the Cup." Izzy reminds him

"What if I was wrong? I can't find Jace because I weakened our bond, but that doesn't mean he can't be found, or that he can't find us. We need more time." Alec tells us

"You're grasping at straws now?" Izzy questions

"Izzy, listen. I'm your big brother. Please, let me help you two for once." Alec says to us

(Ashlynn's pov)We arrive at the Jade Wolf and Clary heads inside and calls for help"We need help!" Clary says

"Clary, what happened?" Simon asks as we all get inside

"We thought we found Valentine, but he was already gone." Clary tells him

"Michael Wayland?" Luke asks

"Valentine took my mother with him, but we found Jace's father." Clary explains

"What? I thought Valentine killed Jace's father." Simon says confused

"He tried. Hello, Lucian."  Michael says to him

"This can't be. I thought I'd never see you again." Luke says

"I never thought I'd see anyone again." Michael admits

"What happened?" Luke asks us

"Demon got him. He can't fight the poison. His runes are too weak and he needs blood, but we can't go back to the Institute. Simon. Simon, there's gotta be some kind of blood at Hotel DuMort. Could you call Raphael?" Clary says as we set Jace down.

"Hey Clary, Raphael won't listen to you and Simon, I'll go. Raphael will listen to me. I've known him my whole life. I can create a Portal and go there. Simon do you want to come with?" I say to her then ask Simon

"Ya let's get heading." He says to me

"Okay." Clary tell us, agreeing

"He's weaker. You gotta hurry." Michael warns us

"Jace, listen to me. I'm coming back.Please, just hang on. Please. Please." I tell him then kiss the side of his head

"Ashlynn?" Jace mumbles. Thomas and Clary go beside him

"Simon, let's go, Come on." I say and create the Portal.

We get there and I'm already preparing to yell at Raphael

"Raphael we need your help." I call out "God I wish we could just take to blood and go." I say to Simon.

"If we were transfusing goat blood, no problem. But human blood, that's against the Accords." Simon reminds me

"I'm surprised you know that much." Raphael tells us

"Why do you keep doing that to me?" Simon asks

"If you worked on controlling your enhanced senses, as you should, you wouldn't be surprised. My lovely Ashlynn, what can I do for you?" Raphael ask me

"Sorry for barging in Raphael. But we need blood." I tell him

"So I've heard. Human blood. I wish I could help but you know the rules Ashlynn qué lástima, No can do." Raphael tells us. Simon gives me a weird look, not knowing what Raphael said

"He said what a pity, Simon. And Raphael please, for me? We won't say anything?" I ask him

"I'm sorry Ash, but as the Shadowhunters say. The law is the law." He tells me.

"Okay, listen. Come on. Last night, I bumped into Bernice." Simon says as he pulled Raphael away

"Mmm." Raphael hums

"She overheard a couple of bridge and tunnel vamps gossiping about Camille." Simon tells him

"You said Camille took a leave of absence, right?" Raphael asks worried

"Yeah. Yeah, yeah. They didn't care about that. They said she kept around a couple of humans. Apparently, she'd feed on them, but never went all the way. What are they called? Uh, sub submissives?" Simon calls out as Raph pulls on his arm

"Keep your voice down. They're called subjugates. Horrible things. Even Camille got sick of them." Raphael tells him

"Okay, so, they're gone. But keeping around human beings just to drain at cocktail hour, that's against the Accords. Camille had a taste for the real stuff. I know from experience.She had to have something on ice." Simon says, I walk over seeing what Simon's doing

"I'm sorry. If you want to tattle to the Clave about Camille draining humans, fine. I'm the new administration." Raphael tells him

"Yeah. You could probably get over on them with that line, but you weren't exactly an innocent bystander in my case." Simon reminds him

"We agreed not to discuss that." Raphael points out

"Did we? Funny, I can't really remember. Hey, did you ever tell the Clave what Camille did to me?" Simon asks

"You can't. I'd be implicated." Raph says

"Then help us. Raphael, Jace will die without it." I tell him

"I can't believe you'd do this to me. Blackmail." Raphael tells us

"Save it. You're getting off easy." Simon tells him, he puts in a code and the painting rises to show a collection of blood

"What's his blood type?" Raphael asks us

"Go for type O. Universal donor." Simon tells me

"I know that Simon." I tell him, Raph gives us the blood."Thank you. Simon, let's go." I tell him

"Yeah, not so fast. I like the way you handled yourself in this negotiation. Stick around." Raphael tells Simon

"I'm ambassador to the werewolves. It's very time-consuming." Simon says, I chuckle

"Let me take that burden off of your shoulders. As of now, you've been recalled. You're advisor to the interim chapter president." Raph tell him, Simon sighs "Don't complain. My new advisor has to stay here." Raphael tells me

"It's okay, just go, really." Simon tell me

"Thank you. Both of you." I say and go back through the Portal.

I got back with the blood and they helped Jace. Clary, Thomas and I were all waiting for information. Michael walks out."The transfusion helped. He's much better. He's gonna wanna see you guys. But, uh, can I, um, talk to you for a minute?" Michael says to Clary

"Of course." Clary tells him, I walk in to talk to Jace

"Hey." I say to him, he smiles at me

"Hey you." Jace says to me, I walk over and sit down

"You're looking much better." I tell him

"Yeah, uh fresh blood. These vamps may be on to something." Jace tells me

"Well you're not wrong. " I tell him and  chuckle a bit

"Hey is everything alright?" Jace asks me

"Yeah, I guess I just wasn't expecting all of this to happen. Meliorn told us we would find Valentine. Maybe finding your father will help lead us to Valentine." I tell him

"Yeah. Seelies can't lie. But they take tangled paths wherever they go." Jace tells me

"Although I think it's because they see more that way." I remind him"I guess I'm just a little out of it also because of that other dimension." I admit

"Talk to me Ash." Jace tells me and sits up.

"Do you remember the other dimension?" I ask him, he shakes his head 'no'. "Well, in that other dimension, everything was different. Clary was with you. I was with Thomas, and from the looks of it, everyone was happy. I just can't help but wonder if that's how our life was supposed to go. Maybe you were supposed to fall for Clary and me and Thomas were supposed to end up together and we just got. I don't know- confused?" I tell Jace, he grabs my hand

"Ashlynn, that was that world.we all had different lives. You can't base this reality off of that one. I fell for you, Ash. I don't want to be with Clary. I want to be with you. This is our lives, and we can live it how we want." Jace tells me, I smile. He pulls me in for a kiss, and just holds me there, kissing me.

"But why would Valentine tell a prisoner what he was planning to do?" Clary asks, we were all sitting in the Jade Wolf talking about what Valentine is planning with Michael Wayland.

"He didn't. Well, not directly.But he gave me a way to learn all about his plans." Michael tells us

"What do you mean?" Thomas asks

"He injected me with Downworlder blood. The pain was excruciating. Sometimes I was sick for days. But it's not often you got a Shadowhunter to experiment on. So I guess that's why he always stopped short of killing me. But, little by little I developed enhanced hearing and vision." Michael tells us, he talks about how Valentine wanted to move his base closer to the Institute, and how he moved to Renwick's.

"Who's Renwick?" Clary asks

"It's not a who. It's a where. It's a deserted smallpox hospital on one of the islands of the East River." Luke tells her

"Under our noses is right. And we can't track over water." Thomas states

"He left me to die in that cage." Michael reminds us

"Valentine never wasted time on compassion." Luke tells him

"He won't get any from me when the time comes." Jace says

"Before it does, you need a strategy. Waiting a day could mean the difference between failure and success." Michael reminds his son

"Okay. Clary, Thomas and I will scout Renwick's tonight." Jace says, I'm slightly pissed I'm not included in this but I need to go visit Mag anyway. However, I'm not letting Jace go.

"Jace, don't. Your runes are still weak. Luke, Thomas and Clary will go. Just take this extra time to rest and" I tell him

"I'll be fine, Ash." Jace tells me

"Jace, please." I beg him, he sighs and agrees.

"Don't let those two get you into trouble."Jace tells Luke.

(Pipers pov)"You know what? I'd rather be stripped of my runes and sent into exile than be part of this world. What kind of people sacrifice justice for law?" Izzy tells Alec

"I can just stay with the Pack since I am part wolf. So let them convict me." I tell Alec

"That's very noble, Piper, Izzy. But the high road's not gonna look so great when you're running for your life from a pack of demons with no Shadowhunter powers to protect you" Alec says to Izzy

"Jocelyn lived as a mundane." Izzy reminds him

"You know Jocelyn had her runes and her weapons. You think the demons won't find you? You haven't exactly kept a low profile. You can't just let them convict you. You need an advocate." Alec tells us, Izzy and I look at each other, already knowing who we want.

(Ashlynn's pov)I portal to my home and see Magnus standing there with a drink.

"Magnus." I say to him

"Ash where have you been my dear sister? So much has happened." Mag tells me and sits down.

"So much has happened? Like what?" I ask him

"You don't know? Piper and Izzy are on trial for high treason." Magnus tells me

"What! What do you mean high treason! What have they done?" I ask him

"Well, the rescue op for Meliorn was considered an act against Clave orders. If they are convicted, they'll both be stripped of their runes and exiled from the Shadowhunter society." Magnus explains

"Well how can we help them?" I ask

"I'm not sure sweet pea, I'm being their attorney, Alec just came and asked me. I agreed because I know you wouldn't want your friends hurt. Honestly the only way they'll be free is if Clary hands over the Cup to the Clave. I can try and help, but I don't think it'll do much." Magnus tells me

"I'll get the Cup for them then. I'm sorry I haven't been here. I went to take Meliorn back to the Seelie relm, and we tried to find Valentine by traveling to another dimension. But all we did was find Jace's father." I explain"Something's up with his father though, I can't put my finger on it but us finding him doesn't add up. I hate to say it but I don't trust him." I tell Magnus.

"Trust your gut Sweet Pea, look into it. If you feel something's wrong, then trust that." Magnus tells me, I nod"Well I have to go and try to save Piper and Izzy." Magnus tells me

"I should probably head back, tell Piper I say hey and that I'll try to get the Cup back to free them. But don't announce it, just incase something happens." I tell him, he nod

I walk in on Jace and his dad having a private conversation.

"Oh my god I am so sorry. I'll just go." I tell them

"Wait Ash. Was there something you needed?" Jace asks me

"Uh ya actually. Is Clary back yet?" I ask him

"Sorry Warlock, she's still off scouting." Michael tells me, warlock? Who refers to me as warlock? I knew something was off about him.

"Okay well does Thomas still have the Cup on him?" I ask

"Why Ashlynn?" Jace asks me

"No reson just worried. If something happens to them it'll be dangerous." I defend myself

"Thomas might have left it here. I'm not really sure." Jace tells me

"Dammit." I mutter

"Ash. Are you okay?" Jace asks me walking over.

"I'm fine." I say and go look around the rest of the Jade Wolf.

(Pipers pov)"Will I survive if I touch it?" Magnus asks looking at the Soul Sword

"If you tell the truth." The Inquisitor promises

"By the power of this sword, do you swear to defend your client with integrity and honesty?" Silent brother asks as Magnus touches the sword.

"No argument from me on that." Magnus tells them and walks back

"Piper?" Magnus whispers so just I can hear

"Yes Magnus?" I whisper back

"Ash is back from wherever she was, she's with Clary, Thomas and Jace.  She said she's going to try and get the Cup so you and Izzy would be free. But she told me to tell you not to get your hopes up as something could happen." Magnus whispers to me

"Okay. Thank you." I whisper to him

"Make your case, warlock." The Inquisitor tells him

"My case is simple. It is true that Isabelle Lightwood and Piper Graymark acted against the orders of the Clave by trying to free the Seelie, Meliorn. But they did not act against the interests of the Clave. Preventing the forced questioning and possible death of a Seelie may have saved the Accords." Magnus explains

"We're not here to speculate what might have happened if the defendants hadn't interfered."  The Inquisitor states

"You mean what might have happened if they hadn't stopped the Silent Brothers from torturing a Seelie?" Magnus argues

"I await a valid argument. Do you have one?" The Inquisitor asks

"What you really want is the Mortal Cup. My clients don't have it. Since this whole proceeding isn't about what it's really about, I move to have this case dismissed." Magnus tells them

"You're out of order." The Inquisitor states

"No. This whole thing is out of order. It's not Piper and Isabelle's fault. It's the Cup! Put the Cup on trial!" Magnus yells

(Ashlynn's pov)"We couldn't even count the demons." Clary explains

"Yeah, but we still gotta get Jocelyn out of there." Luke agrees

"That would be a suicide mission." Jace states as I walk in

"Doesn't have to be. I have the Cup.Demons have to obey me." Clary says

"Ya about that. Clary I need the Cup."I tell her

"You need the Cup, why?" She asks

"I'm giving it to the Clave." I finally tell them

"Ashlynn are you crazy!" Thomas yells"That's a stupid idea!" Clary continues"We can't trust the Clave!" Jace yells at me

"Well I'm sorry if I don't want my best friend and her parabatai to be convicted of hight treason!" I yell at them, "Oops, uh. You weren't supposed to know that." I mumble

"Wait Pipers on trial for high treason?" Luke asks me, everyone's silent

"Ya her and Izzy. They'll be stripped of their runes and exiled if we don't hand the Cup over to the Clave." I explain

"There's got to be another way." Clary tells me

"There's not. Magnus is their attorney and is going to try to help them. But he sees that the only way is to hand the Cup over." I tell them

"Okay I want to help but we will need the Cup, after the rescue mission I promise I will hand the Cup over to the Clave and free Izzy and Piper. Now to break into Renwick's and use the Cup, the demons have to listen." Clary tells us

"That's what Valentine wants. He knows you'll do anything to save your mother. He wants you to take out the Cup and use it." Michael tells us

"And if I do?"Clary asks

"He'll take it..And he'll kill us, too." Michael says

"Let him try." Clary snarles.

(Pipers pov)"You have led us to believe that you and Piper alone carried out this operation. But Clary Fairchild was seen near the City of Bones that night." Lydia asks Izzy as she's on the stand, suprisingly mine went by super quick

"Maybe she was out for a walk." Izzy states

"And you expect us to believe that you distracted the guards, and escaped with the prisoner on your own?" Lydia asks

"Pretty slick, right?" Izzy says, I chuckle

"I suggest you think about how slick it would be when Valentine uses the Mortal Cup to raise an army of rogue Shadowhunters." The Inquisitor tells her

"I don't want Valentine to succeed." Izzy defends

"Well, that's the first sane thing I've heard from you." The Inquisitor states

"You know what's insane? Thinking we have the right to treat a Downworlder's life as worthless." Izzy says to her

"Isabelle, I should warn you that everything you say here will be considered in the verdict." Lydia warns

"Good. Consider this. Valentine didn't come out of nowhere. We use our angel blood to justify everything we do, just like him. Like him, we forget that we are not only angels. We are part mundane. We can be afraid. And fear makes us cruel. And we turn our fear to Downworlders just as Valentine did. And just as he did we will end up turning on each other." Izzy stands up and yells to everyone

"You think we're doing that to you two?" The Inquisitor asks

"You have to answer that for yourself Madam Inquisitor." Izzy tells her

(Ashlynn's pov)"This doesn't make any sense. There were a thousand demons here last night." Luke says as him, Jace, Thomas and Michael approach Renwicks

"That's what he wants. He wants to draw us in, force Clary to use the Cup." Michael says as Circle members appear and they all start fighting.

"Clary, I don't trust Michael. I think we should put a second layer of protection around the Cup just incase." I tell her quietly

"Watch your back!" Jace yells as they continue fighting, Clary and I approach Renwick's from behind the fighting and get inside

"I agree Ash, something's not adding up about him. If we can discuise something to look like the Cup and hold that. He'll reveal himself if he's lying, won't he?" She asks me, I make a world's best father Cup appear.

"Yes he will. Let's use this and we need to go quickly." I tell her, she puts the glamour on it and it looks like the Cup.  She puts it into her bag and we walk into a room. We see her mom in a green pale of smoke and unconscious.

"Mom. Mom! Mom, please, wake up." Clary yells, clutching her mom. Michael, Thomas and Jace run in and board the door shut as demons crowd it."Where's Luke?" Clary asks them

"We left him fighting Blackwell. Luke told us to leave him, Clary." Thomas explains to her, Clary runs at the door

"No! What are you doing? Get back!" Thomas tells her

"Thomas, we cannot shut Luke out! He has to make it inside!" Clary tells him

"No, Clary, there is not enough time!" Jace explains

"We have to secure the room. We don't even know if Luke is still'" Michael tells her

"-Alive? Jace, Thomas, no. You have to tell him! We cannot shut Luke out! He will die for nothing! - I can't wake her up." Clary explains

"She's under some kind of potion. It's one I've never seen before. I know where to look though." I explain to Clary

"Luke wants you and Jocelyn out of here. That's all he cares about. Pull yourself together." Michael tells her

"Clary, if you don't help us, no one survives. Do you understand? We will get her home. Look at me! We will find a way to wake her up. Do you believe me? " Thomas asks her

"Get ready." Michael tells us

(Pipers pov)"I'd like to call Lydia Branwell to the stand." Magnus asks

"I don't see the relevance." The Inquisitor tells him

"Well, that makes two of us. I don't see the relevance of this whole trial." Magnus states"Ms. Branwell? If you'll take the stand? I just have one question. Why are you prosecuting this case?" Magnus asks her

"Answer the question, Counselor." The Inquisitor agrees

"Because the Law is hard, but it is the Law. But that doesn't make it right. We're trying someone for being compassionate, thinking for herself. She saved a life that was being sacrificed for nothing." Lydia says

"That will be enough, Branwell." The Inquisitor tells her

"No it isn't. I'm looking out at the faces here. A brother and sister who disagree on everything except for how much they love one another and how loyal they are to each other. A man who took this case pretending to want payment in rare objects, but who really believes that injustice toward his friends is intolerable.Loyalty, decency, compassion, love. These are the concepts that we should consider to decide guilt or innocence in a case like this." Lydia states

"Those are not the concepts of the Law. Now, enough of this nonsense." The Inquisitor tells her

"I agree. The case is nonsense. I withdraw the charges." Lydia says to us, I cheer and Izzy and I hug. I hug Alec before quickly letting him go. I walk over to Magnus and hug him and he let's papers fly everywhere. I even hug Lydia.

"Silence! Order! Silence! If you think refusing to prosecute exculpates the defendants, you are wrong. They are guilty. The defense was correct. The Clave wants the Mortal Cup. If it is returned within 24 hours, this ruling will be vacated. If not, Isabelle Lightwood and Piper Graymark will be stripped of their runes and exiled from the society of the Shadowhunters forever." The Inquisitor tells us.

(Ashlynn's pov)"Clary, now! We can't wait any longer." Jace says as Clary pulls out the 'Cup.'

"Demons, I command you! Find Valentine! Demons, find Valentine!" Clary says but nothing happens

"Let me try." Michael says to her, she hands him the 'Cup' and he grabs his blade and slices a rune open. He shifts into Valentine.

"Come on. No. No. Valentine." Jace yells and panics, I give Clary an all knowing look. We were right.

"Demons attack my enemies! I command you!" Valentine yells but once again nothing happens.

"Knock it off, guys!" Clary yells and they stop, Valentine looks confused

"Sorry, but we were suspicious of you the whole time." I tell him

"You're not the only one who knows how to cast a glamour." She tells him and takes out the real Cup. The fake one turned into the #1 best father cup,  Which suprisingly suits who was really Michael Wayland."Should we let the demons take care of this? Or-" Clary asks

"No. Send them away. He's mine." Jace growls ,I prepare to be using my magic for the fight

"Demons, be gone!" Clary yells and they all leave.

"You pretended to be my father." Jace yells as he walks up with the seraph blade

"I wasn't pretending, Jace." Valentine tells him

"You murdered him. You're a liar!" Jace yells

"I am your father. I always have been. The face that you saw as Michael Wayland was mine. Then and now. It was a powerful glamour. I want you to know me as I am. To know the truth about me and you." Valentine tells him and Jace freezes

"Jace! Jace, don't listen to him! He's my father. We know that for a fact." Clary tells him

"Yes, that's true. That's a fact. I am your father, Clary. And Jace's. And actually Thomas' as well." Valentine tells them, Jace is fully frozen and Thomas is frozen.

"There's no way I'm related to you." Thomas states

"Athean, right? Jocelyn after having you gave you to the Atheans,  as she knew they would take care of you. There's a reason they haven't tried to contact you since the moved correct. You are a Morgenstern, and Jocelyn made them swear to never tell you. They swore by the angel Thomas." Valentine tell him"Think about it. Why are the three of you so drawn together? You are meant to be. Blood calls to blood, no? Ah, My dear family together at last. A lost mother, found. Brothers and sister, finally united." Valentine says as Jace runs back up to attack

"You won't kill me. You won't kill me. I said that you were weak, and I meant it. What's wrong, Jace Can't kill the man who raised you, hmm?" Valentine taunts

"I can!" Clary yells and walks up but Valentine has Jace in a headlock

"Go ahead, Clary. Two for one. We can't even fight back, huh? No? Come with me, son. You know that you love me. Your sister is welcome to join us as well as your brother..And bring your mother along. We can find a way to get her moving again." Valentine calls as I take my stance.

"Ya that's not happening." I tell him, he goes through a Portal before anything happens though. Luke runs in and grabs Jocelyn.

"Jocelyn. I'm taking you home." Luke tells her. I transport us back to the Institute, once we arrive I give Clary the look of 'you promised' and she finds Lydia

"Lydia, here." Clary says and gives her the Cup

"Really?" She asks

"Yes, now let Piper and Izzy go." I say to her

"As a matter of fact, since the Cup is to be returned to the Clave, Izzy and Piper are not longer convicted." Lydia tells us.

"Clary gave Lydia the Cup. Hodge is taking her to lock it up until she goes back to Idris." Jace says as Clary is sitting beside her mom and I'm using magic to try and figure out what potion was used.

"Okay." Alec tells him

"Okay? That's it, Alec?" Jace asks

"I don't want to get into it." Alec states

"Stop. I do wanna get into it. You almost killed me. You weakened our parabatai bond just to find me." Jace tells him

"You betrayed me. You lied to me.You attacked me when I was doing what we should've been doing together." Alec says

"I didn't betray you, Alec. I saved you from yourself! If you'd have taken Meliorn to be tortured, you would have that on your conscience for the rest of your life." Jace states

"Really?" Alec asks

"Really." Jace confirms

"Everything you do is for a higher principle. You took the Cup, and you nearly handed it over to Valentine." Alec exposes

"That was not our intention. You know that." Jace says refereeing to him, Clary and Thomas.

"Our intention? Was it your intention to risk Izzy's life for hers and his? This isn't about Clary and Thomas. This is about you. Now, I'm gonna go tell my sister and her parabatai they still hava a future." Alec says, I finish looking and shake my head. I walk out and go with Alec.

"Hey I know you're angry and all, but if anything I should be angry with you after you broke Pipers heart." I tell him

"I know. As much as I want to be angry with you. But I have a feeling the glamour as a second layer of protection was your idea?" He asks

"It was, that cup wasn't leaving Clary's hands. It's the only way I could guarantee that I could save Izzy and Piper. Just to let you know, I was trying to hand it over while the trial was going on." I tell him he nods

"So, we're cool?" He asks

"Ya we're good. Now it's just you and Jace that need to make up." I tell him

"Yeah but at least we lost it with style." I hear Izzy says as we walk in

"Jace, Thomas and Clary are back. They gave the Cup to Lydia. You're free to go." Alec smiles as he tells them

"You were right, they came back.You knew!" Izzy yells, Piper runs up and hugs me

"Oh, I didn't actually." Alec tells him

"Well, my work is done here. Walk me out, will you? We have some business to settle." Magnus tells Alec

"Go. We'll be fine." Izzy confirms

"You got the Cup for us. Magnus delivered your message. And you succeeded. Anything else?" Piper asks, the three of us hug

"Well, uh we found out that Jace and Thomas are also Valentine's kids." I tell them

"Wait-" Piper says

"What?" Izzy exclaims

"Ya, turns out Michael Wayland was just a powerful glamour used by Valentine to raise Jace. And Thomas was given to the Atheans by Jocelyn who made them swear on the angel that they would never tell." I explain

"Holy shit!" Izzy yells

"Ya, well now that everything has been explained. Mind filling us in on what's going on between you and Jace?" Piper asks

"Well.." I trailed off "so he told me he liked me and I told him I liked him. So now we're kinda dating? I mean we haven't gone on a date or anything but we act like we are." I explain, they both squeel, then hug me.

Later on I walk around until I see Jace in his room, and it looks like he's crying.

"Jace?" I ask from the door, he turns and I run over and hug him, he cries into my arms and just lays there as I comfort him.
