Chapter 26

Keefe's POV

Keefe got are transmission from Sophie asking if he was okay.  He tried to respond but couldn't drag himself out of the darkness. Then he heard Sophie shout which was just what he needed to pull himself back. 

When Keefe opened his eyes, he was met with Fitz standing over a crumpled-up Sophie.

"Fitz?" Keefe asked.

"Oh yay, another traitor to deal with," Fitz responded as he turned around.

"What are you talking about!?" Keefe shout-asked him. 

"Know that Sophie only ditched me for you."

"Actually, I seem to remember you breaking up with her." Tam, who Keefe didn't even realize was there, Interrupted.

Then Fitz just vanished. Keefe instantly ran to Sophie. She was passed out. "Hail Elwin. NOW!" Keefe shouted at Tam who nodded and went to the hallway.

"Hang in there Foster. I'm here." Keefe whispered to her. Then Sophie's eyes started to flutter open. "Foster," Keefe shouted and hugged her.

"Keefe." That was all Sophie said.

When Elwin got there he gave Sophie a quick check and said everything was fine. Then Sophie and Keefe called their friends to Havenfeild.

Everyone had different reactions. Keefe and Sophie were answering questions left and right. One question, in particular, stood out to Keefe.

"How did Grady and Edaline react?" Dex asked Sophie.

"Well," Sophie started as Keefe leaned in curious. "Edaline just asked if I was truly happy. And of course, I said yes. When I told Grady he asked why not Dex he seems nice." Dex was bright red. The only people who knew why were Keefe, Sophie, and Dex. "Then he asked what happened to Fitz and I told him. Just wait it gets weird." Sophie said glancing at Tam. " He seemed like he was finally done when he shouted......" Sophie paused for suspense. "Tam."

"Um. WHAT." Tam asked turning a tomato red. "Yeah Linh, I'm leaving you coming or staying?" Tam added standing and digging around for his home crystal.

"Staying," Linh said simply. Then Tam left.
