Chapter Five

'I'll follow you down while were passing through space, I don't care if we fall from grace'

Jax ran to the bed and untied Sam's hands from the bed post he sat behind her as he dialed 911 on his phone for help. He held pressure on her neck to stop the bleeding

"Babe its me. Please don't leave me I can't do this on my own without you. Harley needs you. I need you. The club needs you please baby" Jax cried as he held her

"I'm so sorry I wasn't there to protect you like I promised I'm so sorry this is all my fault. Please sam please baby we need you. Its gonna be ok the medics are on their way to help you" Jax cried harder. Suddenly the medics rushed in the room

"sir please we need to do our job what happened" one of the EMTs asked

"she was kidnapped I followed them here and the bastard beat her and cut her throat" Jax said as they got Sam onto the stretcher

"we got a pulse!" One of them yelled

"let's get her going she's not looking good" he said as they wheeled her to the ambulance. Happy and Opie came running back

"We lost him Jax. I'm sorry" Happy said

"I'll deal with that later call my mother tell her we found Sam I'll call her when I can. You guys grab and room and rest I'll call you in the morning" Jax said as he got on his bike and followed his wife to the hospital

"Man I dont know about you but I'm not sleeping here. I'll fall asleep in the waiting room Jax needs us" Happy said Opie agreed and they followed Jax. Jax followed Sam right into the emergency room

"I'm Dr. Druin I'll be looking over the patient" she said

"I'm Jackson Teller this is my wife Samantha she's pregnant" he said

"ok how far along?" She asked

"2 months is the baby gonna be ok?" Jax asked

"Mr. Teller its to soon to tell. We need to figure out what injuries Sam has sustained why don't you go have something to eat while we look her over" Dr driun said

Jax shook his head no "she's like this cause I couldn't protect her. I'm not leaving her side until I hear her voice" Jax said

"Mr. Teller she's in the best hands We have security I swear no one will get through those doors" a nurse said

Jax sighed he touched Sam's leg as they worked on her torso and neck. He sighed and walked out of the room. He walked down the long hallway. And opened the door to the waiting room to find Opie and Happy. he sat down between them. no words were needed as they sat and waitied.

"Mr.Teller wake up" the nurse said putting her hand on his jax opened his eyes

"I'm up where's my wife" he said standing up

"we had to take her into surgery to repair her artery in her neck she's stable and waking up" the nurse said

"the baby?" He asked "the baby was put in some distress but its stable as well. Would you like to see her?" The nurse asked

Jax stood up and walked with the nurses leaving his friends to rest. "Is she going to be able to talk?" He asked walking with the nurse

"yes her voice will be hoarse for a few weeks her windpipe was crushed slightly which we repaired. She's in a great amount of pain so don't let her talk to much" the nurse said

They entered Sam's room and Jax looked at his wife She was hooked up to several machines a bandage around her neck. Jax held his had over his mouth as tears escaped his eyes. He walked over to the side of her bed and touched her hand. She opened her eyes slightly

"babe I'm sorry" he said leaning down to kiss her dry lips

"You...found...me" Sam said quietly

"don't talk babe, I'm here. You don't need to talk. You need to get better and strong so you can come home" Jax said

"lay with me" she said trying to move over a little

"I'm gonna sit right here I'm not going anywhere. Get some rest darlin I'll be here when you wake up" Jax said pulling a chair up next to her bed

Jax sat down and held Sam's hand as she slowly drifted off to sleep.

Jax pulled out his phoneJax: ma she's in bad shape but she will be ok how's HarleyGemma: she's fine she misses you guys. You find the guy?Jax: op and happy lost him. Gemma: don't worry baby well find himJax:once she's good to move I'm having her transported. I want a patch on her at all times. Anyone allows anything to happen to her again will be dead.Gemma: good call baby. Get some rest And that's exactly what Jackson did.

Sam woke up and looked at Jackson sleeping with his head on her bed holding her hand. She needed to use the bathroom she pressed the call button to get some help out of bed

"What can I help you with Mrs.Teller" the nurse asked

"I need to pee" she whispered the nurse helped Sam stand up and walk to the bathroom. Sam hurt from head to toe everywhere hurt

"is my baby ok?" She asked not caring the nurse was watching her use the bathroom

"yes your baby is fine. We need to run a few tests you were torn up pretty bad around your vagina" she said. Sam nodded as she stood up when they came out of the bathroom Opie and Happy were talking to Jax

Sam sat back down whincing from the pain. The doctor came in "ah Mrs teller your up and walking that's good" Dr druin said "Mr teller nice to see you again" she said

Jax flashed her the Teller smile

"when can she be transported closer to home?" Jax asked

"well I need to run a few more tests and check her incision and then she's free to go as long as she takes it easy" Dr druin said Jax smiled again

"do what you have to I have a very impatient little girl at home waiting to see her momma" Jax said

"you got it, can your friends leave the room so we can examine SAM? She asked Happy and Opie nodded and left.

"Sam how are you feeling?" Dr druin asked

"like I got run over" Sam said trying to laugh

"We need to check your lower area and see if the swelling went down" Dr druin said

Jax's eyes got wide "what does that mean?"

"Sam sustained injuries to her vagina from forceful penetration. Its common to have swelling when a victim is raped" Dr druin said

Sam looked at Jax who had fire in his eyes. "Well looks good Sam let me check your neck and then well get the tests going so you can go home" Dr druin said removing the bandage from her neck Jax looked at the 6 inch incision across Sam's neck. He looked away from her. "Looks good as well we will take some blood and get you on your way. Mr Teller may I speak with you outside?" Dr druin asked

Jax got up and walked out of the room not even looking at Sam. "I noticed you were withdrawn when I was examining Samantha" Dr druin said

"I'm the reason this happened its my fault I can't look at what another monster has done to my wife" Jax said

"you'll get past that. But I recommend that you don't bring her home on a bike" Dr druin said walking away from Jax. Jax made his way outside to smoke. Opie was standing there

"I'm gonna ride back and get the van you stay and keep her safe" Jax said starting his bike and taking off

Opie walked into Sam's room "Opie he can't even look at me" Sam cried

"Sammy he's blaming himself hell get past it" Opie said sitting down next to her.

Jax returned a few hours later. Sam was sitting in the waiting area with Opie and Happy

"Let's get you home" Jax said still unable to look at Sam

Sam didn't say anything and walked slowly by herself to the van as Jax walked ahead of her. "If your gonna be a dick I'm not riding with you" Sam spat

"Sam get in the van I'm tired I just want to go home" Jax said Opie came over and helped her in the van "cut her some slack man" Opie said closing the door and walking away

Jax punched the van as hard as he could making Sam jump. Jax got in and lit a smoke. "I don't want to talk I just want to go home" Jax said

Sam looked out the window and started to cry, trying to hold back tears. Her husband couldn't even look at her.

*A month later*

"Momma when is daddy coming home?" Harley asked as Sam was tucking her in. "Soon baby get some sleep" Sam said kissing her daughters forehead Jackson hasn't been home since Sam came home from the hospital He wouldn't answer her calls and barely texted her to ask how Harley was. Sam walked out of Harleys room to find Tig

"just switching shifts Sam" Tig said

"you wouldn't have to if Jackson actually came home" Sam spat tig looked down at the floor

"he's out looking for kohn" tig said

"just stop. We both know he isn't he's at the clubhouse I'm not a fucking idiot tig" Sam said Tig wouldn't even look at her

Sam had enough she didnt move back here to deal with this bullshit.

The next morning Sam asked neeta to come over so she could run some errands. Leaving the patch with neeta Sam started her errands. She drove by TM and thought about going in but chose not to. She finished at the store and drove back by TM. This time pulling in. She put her car in park and mentally prepared herself. She stepped out and walked over to the clubhouse door she opened it and almost threw up. A crow eater all over jax. Sam walked over and she immedietly got up and walked away

"when do you plan on comimg home?" Sam asked. Her voice was still pretty hoarse

"Im dealing with shit Sam" he said still not looking at her

"get your drunk ass up and get the fuck home!" She yelled knowing that it was going to hurt her vocal chords later

 "no sam im not going home. Why should i?" Jax asked standing up

"you have a daughter thats been asking for you for weeks jackson. I am your wife i came back for what reason?" She said

"sam go home were not discussing this anymore" jax said trying to walk away

"why cant you look at me?" Sam asked

"you disgust me thats why now go the fuck home!"jax yelled in her face

Sam held back the tears. She slapped him across the face "dont you ever say that to me again. Dont come home. Dont come to the hospital when i have this baby. We. Are. Done." Sam yelled as loud as she could she turned around and started to walk away

Jax grabbed her arm forcefully "Don't tell me I can't see my kid being born" Jax said sternly looking into same eyes something he hasn't done since she came home

"I just did. Unless you figure out whatever's going on in your head I don't want you or your club near me" Sam said walking away

She walked out of the clubhouse and got in her car and drove home. Her phone kept ringing and ringing it was Jackson she refused to answer him. Once arriving home she sent neeta on her way. To only hear a harley roaring up the street. It stopped in the driveway but he didn't come in. Her phone buzzed 'can we talk please' he asked 'yup' she said

Quietly Jax walked in the door "where is she?" He asked

"napping" Sam said he walked into the kitchen and sat down

"I'm sorry sam. I shouldn't of said what I did" Jax said

"well you did" she said coldly

"I let you down by not protecting you when I should of been" Jax said

"no matter who was protecting me he would of gotten to me eventually" Sam said "sure I guess. But he traumatized you" Jax said looking at her

"No Jax he traumatized you. I look at my scar as a battle wound. I survived it. I live with what he did to me, you don't think it bothers me? It does everyday but I deal with it, I'm not shutting everyone out like you are" SAm said

"Babe I don't know what else to do I can't lose you again" Jax said standing up and hugging her

"Jackson your nearly there. I can't do this on my own anymore. I'm terrified. I have nightmares and who's here to hold me at night? No one. I'm not about to ask a patch to lay in the bed cause I'm scared. My own husband won't even sleep in the same house. I can't do it anymore Jackson." Sam cried

For the first time in a month he held her. Held her while she cried something she's needed since she woke up from surgery. Jax stroked her hair and cried along with her

"Babe I'm sorry, I should of been here I didn't realize that it was this bad" Jax said

"Jax you never gave me the chance to talk. You shut me out the moment we came home" Sam said

"I know babe I'm sorry I'm not going anywhere anymore I promise I love you" Jax said waiting to hear her say she loved him too but she wouldn't say it. He didn't blame her. He was the asshole that shut her out when she needed him the most

"Daddy your home!!!" Harely squeeled running to Jax. He picked her up and hugged her tight

"yes darlin I'm home I'm sorry I was gone for so long" he said

"its ok daddy just don't leave again momma needs you" Harley said

"I know baby girl I know" Jax said. His girls needed him. And he wasn't leaving.

The next morning Sam woke up she realized Jax wasn't in the bed, she looked at the clock and it read 9:45 'holy crap I slept' Sam hadn't slept more then 3 hours since she was brought home from the hospital, her doctor bad given her sleeping pills but she refused to take them in case Harley needed her but Jax insisted that she take one last night promising her he would be here when she woke, he held her all night long. Sam got out of bed and put one of jaxs shirts on. Noticing her belly getting bigger she was only 16 weeks and in a few weeks she would find out the sex of the baby. She was nervous and excited all at the same time. She looked in the mirror and touched the scar on her neck. The very one that caused Jax not to look at her for a whole month. It was her way of pushing forward, she was strong and a fighter and no one could bring her down.
