Ignorance

This chapter takes place a month after the previous one.___________________________________________

Teitan Middle School, 1:50 pm..

The Detective boys, Conan and Haibara were only at the shoe lockers in school, gathering their stuff to go home.

"Finally, today was soo long I can't wait to go back home and eat, I wonder what mom is cooking right now.." Genta says as he grabs his tummy and daydreams."You always think about food Genta." Mitsuhiko says while patting his back.

Conan secretly agreed with Genta when he said today was long. He noticed that Haibara didn't speak to him all day and he was getting annoyed each minute.

"Well guys I'm off! Mom wants me back home early since guests are coming over. See you in the weekends!" Ayumi says before rushing off home. The boys wave goodbye to her and turn to Conan and Haibara.

"Do you guys wanna do something?" Mitsuhiko asks. "I'm tired so I'll pass." Haibara says yawning and walking past him. "I have something to do so I'll see you guys later bye!" Conan quickly says as he catches up to Haibara.

They start walking when Conan asks. "Why are you ignoring me?" He looks at her trying to get a response. "Hm?" She hums, confused. "Did you say anything?" Conan frowns and opens his mouth to speak again, but Haibara's phone rings. "Hold on, I need to get this." She says as she presses on her phone. Conan just looks down and walks alongside her till she's done.

They reach Doctor Agasa's house and Haibara's still talking on the phone. "Yes don't worry I will, mhm bye." She hangs up and looks at Conan. "Shinchi, I can't come over today, I have something to do at Hakase's so just go alone." She says and enters Doctor Agasa's gate. Conan didn't even respond he just looks at her as she walks away then he slowly walks to his house.

When he has entered the house, he was trying to find some excuse to go to Doctor Agasa's so he can see Haibara. 'what was up with her, why is she ignoring me.' he kept thinking of an excuse, suddenly his eyes sparked and he was now making his way towards Doctor Agasa's house.

He rang the doorbell and waited. The door opened revealing Doctor Agasa. "Oh Shinchi, perfect timing, I just finished fixing your skateboard." Conan saw this as an opportunity to stay at Hakase's. "Cool let me try it now." Conan says as Doctor Agasa leads the way to his desk. "I added some perks with it, but they're not much, I added more speed, and increased it's jumping ability." Doctor Agasa explains. "Thanks Hakase, where's Haibara by the way??" Conan asks, scratching his nape. "Ai-kun's downstairs in the basement, she said she had to check something, but anyways Shinchi I have to go, I have a convention to go to, so you take care of Ai-kun. I'll be back at 8 pm."

Conan nods and goes downstairs to where Haibara is, he knocks and hears a little come in. Haibara turns around to find Conan, and continues her work.

"Hakase went he said he had a convention or whatever." Conan says, Haibara just hums.

"What is up with you, ignoring me all day and giving me dry replies!" Conan yells frustrated. Haibara tries not to laugh and succeeds. Conan doesn't notice it.

"Answer me!" He walks closer to her until he's right behind her. "Nothing I'm just really busy." She says turning around. Conan quickly puts his hands on her neck and pulls her closer, kissing her as hard as he could. Haibara just stands there shocked but she quickly masks it and puts on an act.

"Kudo-kun, Get out!" She yells pushing him off. Conan backs away and shouts. "Not until you tell me what's gotten into you." Haibara just sighs. "I have a lot of work to do so it would help me if you'd leave." She says. "Whatever." Conan says and goes upstairs.

Haibara then smiles indicating that her plan was working.___________________________________________

Agasa Residence, 4:02 pm..

'4 hours till Hakase comes..' Conan says in his mind. He's still at hakase's house since he has to stay with Haibara and take care of her, obviously though she's not the type to be taken care of.

Conan sighs as another minute passes while he's watching TV. His stomach rumbles and he gets up to see if they have any food in the kitchen.

He opens the fridge and finds leftover pasta, he gets it out to heat it up, he also heats some for Haibara.

He gets a plate and a fork for the both of them and goes downstairs and knocks on her door. "I need to work." Haibara says but he just opens her door. "I brought you food." He says and places it on her desk, not looking at her, he turns to leave and hears her say, "thank yo-" but he shuts the door and walks upstairs to eat his portion.

Haibara started to feel bad since she was thinking she took it too far. She grabs her phone and dials the number, it starts ringing.

"Hii Ai-chan! Soo what is he doing??" Yukiko Kudo asks on the phone. "I kind of feel bad, maybe we should stop it here.." Haibara says. "Hm? Why what happened?" Yukiko asks. "I was kind of too harsh on him, and he made me food, well he heated up leftovers but still and he looked so sad, he didn't even say a single word." Ai explains. "Well if you want to stop it here you can, it was funny though." Yukiko says giggling. "Alright I'll call you later bye." Ai says and hangs up.

She decided she'll eat first and then go up to him. Meanwhile, Conan was alone upstairs eating his pasta and watching a show, he wasn't paying attention to the tv at all, he was thinking about his girlfriend, he can't remember if he did anything wrong. 'what if she lost feelings?' 'maybe she got bored of me.' he kept thinking negative thoughts and then he got up and put his plate in the sink. 'I'll just take a cold shower.' he says and walks upstairs, he has some spare clothes since he sometimes sleeps with Ai here.

Haibara goes upstairs to put her plate in the sink and looks for Conan. She went in the living room and didn't see him there, neither was he in the kitchen, and he wasn't in her room, then she heard a faint water noise so she thought he was taking a shower, she decided she'll wait for him in the living room, she walked downstairs to the living room and sat down waiting for him.

10 mins later, he got out of the shower, he put on his boxers and pants. He didn't put on his shirt yet since he thought Haibara was still downstairs in her basement, so he went to the living room with his shirt in his hand while drying his hair with a towel.

When he came in the living room, Haibara stood up since she heard his footsteps but then she froze looking at his bare chest. Conan also slowed down since he didn't expect her to be here.

Haibara started admiring his abs that would bring her to her knees but she stayed upright, she stared at his biceps and muscled body. After realizing what she was doing she immediately looked up at him and released a fake cough.

Conan smirked but quickly hid it since she was still ignoring him. "I didn't know you were here.." he said walking to the couch next to hers. "Uhm-yeah I was just..coming up to...take a break from working." She quickly found an excuse.

He put on his shirt and continued talking to her. "Alright do whatever you like." He said and grabbed his phone looking at his mails. Haibara decided she'll wait a few mins before she tells him, she grabbed the tv remote and started switching between the channels while they sat in silence.

Haibara grabbed her phone and sent a text to Yukiko.

"I'm going to tell him right now."

"Okayy tell me how it goes!!"

Haibara let out a cough, Conan looked up from his phone. "Kudo- kun, I have something to say." All his attention was now on her, he was scared she'll end things with him. "Do you know why I was ignoring you all day?" She asked, Conan shook his head. "Well.. because..." Conan gulped and got ready for any news coming out of her mouth. "It's because me and your mom decided to pull a prank on you." She said and laughed. Conan froze, he prepared for any news except for that.

"Are you kidding me??" Conan rolled his eyes but secretly felt relief. "I'm gonna kill my mom." He said. "I can't stop laughing..you should've seen your face." Haibara says holding her stomach. "Whatever you guys are actually physcopaths." He says as he gets up and walks to haibara, he gets his phone and dials his mom's number, she picks up. "Mom.." Conan says. "Hiii Shin-chan!! Did Ai-chan tell you what we did, admit it, it was funny!" She says giggling.

"Not one bit, you guys are lame." He says looking at Haibara who was now wiping tears from her eyes. "Says the one who got all upset." Haibara says looking at him. Conan just frowns. "Whatever bye mom." He hangs up and stares at Haibara. "How do you feel, was it worth it?" He says crossing his arms. "Well duh I loved every min of it." She says putting her hand on his cheek. "Well I didn't, I felt the opposite." He says and walks closer to her and rests his head on her shoulder. "I miss you evil-eyed witch." He says sighing. "I'm not saying it back." She says and grabs his head to look at her. "Oh c'mon you're lying." He says messing up her hair. She fixes it. "Maybe just a little but that's it."

"I'll take what I can get." He grabbed her cheek and kissed it, then he made his way to her lips and kissed her, slithering his hands to her waist. Haibara kisses back and rests her hands on his neck. He deepened the kiss and licks her lips to pry her mouth open. She does and he slips his tongue in there kissing her passionately. He then pushes her to the nearest wall and sucks her lips. Haibara releases a moan and plays with his hair. He slowly starts to go down to her neck and kisses it while sucking a little, he starts kissing from her neck to below her ear and starts sucking earning a moan from her and she pulls on his hair. He sucks deeper making her accidentally whimper, it made him go feral over her so he went to her collarbone and started sucking there and grabs her leg pushing it up to caress it.

He finally stops after a few more mins and pulls away, her cheeks are flushed and her eyes are sparkling, Conan couldn't help but kiss her cheeks. He rests his head on her shoulder again. "Don't do that ever again." He says while kissing her shoulder. "Alright you sensitive man." She says as he pulls his head back. "c'mon let's go watch something." She grabs his hand walk to the couch. He cuddles close to her and she kisses the top of his head.

They watch tv while they wait for Doctor Agasa to return, but instead they fall asleep in each other's arms.

Later at 8, Doctor Agasa comes back and finds them asleep on the couch cuddling. 'they're such kids.' he says as he looks at them in awe.
