Grudge 2

Tropical Land, 1:56 pm..

Conan couldn't believe what he was seeing. Haibara, with blood gushing out of her forehead, she seems conscious but not quite well. There was a man holding her while pointing a gun at her head.

"If you don't let the hostage go we'll shoot." Megure threatens.

"If you don't back away I'll shoot the kid!" The guy says, he's the assassin they've been trying to capture. Conan feels his anger start to rise and for a moment, Haibara looks up and meets his eyes, pleading for help. He couldn't take it anymore, he pulls out his inflatable soccer ball and charges his shoes, aiming straight at the guy's head, he kicks the ball hard almost hitting the man, but he quickly reacts and shoots at the ball making it explode in the air as a small cloud of smoke forms, the guy takes this as an opportunity to run away with Haibara. Conan quickly runs after them with Heiji close behind. "Kudo! We're unarmed what are we supposed to d-" he got cut off by Conan. "You go left I go right!" Conan yells and Heiji just complies, splitting up.

The man keeps running and sees the boat ride, he quickly jumps in and speeds off. Conan finds a speed boat and jumps in speeding behind him.

They reach the volcano ride and both of them jump off at the same time going up the stairs, Conan is breathing heavily almost catching up when the guy turns trying to shoot Conan but misses by a small distance. 'He must be a really good aimer.' Conan thinks as he continues running after him. The guy reaches the top of the volcano and stands far away from Conan and points the gun at Haibara. "Stop right there little kid or I'll blow your friend's brain out." The guy threatens as he smirks at him. Conan abruptly stops in his tracks. "What's your deal with women huh?" Conan asks. "They don't even have a connection to each other yet you kill them at random." He explains. The guy laughs at him and finally says. "I was a happy man once until all that stopped by a woman who played me and humiliated me in front of everyone! I gave her everything she needed, money? I gave. Clothes? I also gave, but she still cheated and not only that but she got me kicked out of my own company!" The guy finishes, then slowly removes his wig showing his black hair. Conan immediately knew who it was, no wonder he looked familiar, he was one of the richest men who had many companies regarding electronics. "Now I'm taking my revenge.. because all women are the same!" He laughs and points the gun deeper at Haibara. "Now if you'll excuse me I have a girl to kill." Conan looks behind the guy and back at him. "I'm not too sure about that." The guy looks confused and before he can react, Heiji comes and kicks the guy onto the floor, the man quickly rushes to Haibara and holds her near the cliff, although Heiji didn't realize, he kicked the man, and the guy's grip left Haibara as she slowly started to slip off the cliff. "Haibara!" Conan shouts as he runs towards her. Heiji didn't realize as he catches the man and punched him unconscious. Conan reaches Haibara's hand before she falls, his grip loosening. "Heiji come help!" He shouts as he almost falls with Haibara but Heiji rushes over to them and catches them both bringing them up.

Conan has Haibara in his lap trying to talk to her. "Oi Haibara! Stay with me!" He yells as Haibara tries to open her eyes a little. "Shinchi.." she whispers before she fell unconscious. "Oi! Haibara! Damn it! Hattori! Call the ambulance!" He lifts Haibara up and walks down with Heiji as he dials the number to the ambulance.___________________________________________

Central Hospital, 3:48 pm..

The nurses were rushing Haibara to the emergency room, she had a breathing mask on her face. "Doctor! We don't have anyone with the same blood type! We still need an hour till the next batch comes, and the girl is losing a lot of blood we can't wait that long" A nurse says. "I have the same blood type as her!" Conan quickly shouts, the 2 nurses look at him then at the doctor. "We'll take some from you boy is that alright?" The doctor says. "Yes absolutely now hurry!" Conan says worried.

An hour has passed and they took the blood from Conan, he was now waiting for her in the waiting room since he can't go in. His heart keeps beating faster each minute and he can't stop shaking. 'What if she can't make it? What if it was too late? It's all my fault I should've protected her.' Conan keeps having these thoughts the longer he waits, he feels someone touching his shoulder, he turns to find Heiji looking at him concerned. "Kudo.. she'll make it." He assures Conan with a confident look. "How can you be sure?" Conan asks and before Heiji can answer, a nurse comes out of the room. "Are there any relatives of Haibara Ai?" She asks and Conan quickly stands up. "N-No there isn't but I'm her boyfriend, why? Can I see her??" Conan says nervously. "Sure, come this way." The nurse gestures for him to follow her.

They enter a room and Conan immediately rushes to Haibara. "She's only sleeping don't worry." The doctor says as he approaches Conan. "But we do need to keep her here for a few days until she's healed up." He continues. Conan just nods and looks at her sleeping figure. He caresses her cheek and smiles, he finally felt relief.

"Can I stay here with her in these few days?" Conan asks as he looks at the doctor. "Yes, we'll provide you with a chair." The doctor answers as he leaves the room. Conan looks at Haibara again while caressing her hair this time, going down to her cheeks, he kisses her temple and pulls back to look at her again. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you Ai.." he says quietly when a nurse enters the room with a chair for him, she puts it down near Ai's bed and leaves. Conan goes to sit down next to her and he decides he'll wait for her to wake up and stay by her side until she does.

After a few mins, Heiji and Megure enter the room and look at Conan and Haibara. "Good thing she's not in danger anymore." Megure says as he looks at Conan. Conan smiles and caresses her hand. "Yeah, by the way Kud- I mean.. Conan, I called professor Agasa and told him the news, he's now on his way with the kids." Heiji says. Conan just nods and continues caressing her hand. "Well I'm off, I have work to do, be sure to inform me if anything happens, and thanks for capturing the murderer Heiji and Conan." Megure says as he excuses himself. "Well me too, Kazuha's waiting for me, I'll call you later Kudo." Heiji says and leaves.___________________________________________

6:11 pm..

An hour passes since Heiji has left and Conan is still by Haibara's side, he was distracting himself with stuff around the room until she wakes up.

Haibara started to slowly open her eyes, she needed a few seconds to adjust to the bright light. Conan saw her move and quickly moved closer to her. "Ai did you wake up??" He asks her the obvious question. "Hm? Where am I.." she says as she tries to sit up. "Wait don't..you might hurt yourself." Conan says as he tries to make her lay down again. She feels some pain in her head from the explosion, and remembers what happened. "Shinchi..did you catch the guy?" Haibara asks resting her head on her pillow. "Yes but that's not important right now, how do you feel?? Are you in any pain?" Conan asks worried. "Just a little pain in my head but that's it." She answers. "Okay wait here I'll go get the doctor." Conan then leaves the room and comes back a few mins later with the doctor. "You're awake it seems, I'll just need to take notes of some things, just answer every question I'll ask right now." The doctor tells Haibara and asks her a few questions.

After he was done, some people barged into Haibara's room, the detective boys, doctor Agasa and Ran. "Haibara! We came, how are you??" The boys ask. Haibara just answers calmly. "I'll take my leave now, be sure to have a lot of rest." The doctor says before leaving. "Ai-kun! How are you feeling, we all came as soon as we heard about the situation." Doctor Agasa says coming from behind the kids. "Thank you Hakase, I'm well." Haibara answers. "Hello Ai-chan, I also came with them, I was worried about you too." Ran says shyly and smiles at Haibara. She just nods and listens to the boys as they rant about their day.

10 mins passed and Ran was now leaving. "We should leave too so we can let Ai-kun rest, we'll visit her tomorrow don't worry." Doctor Agasa says to the kids. "Aww alright Hakase." Ayumi says but turns to look at Conan. "What about you Conan, won't you come with us?" She asks confused."The doctors still need me for a few things, don't worry about me." Conan says as he sits beside Haibara. "Alright! Bye Haibara!" Ayumi says as she leaves behind Doctor Agasa.

"What are you still doing here?" Haibara asks Conan. "I'm not leaving you, did you seriously think the doctors needed me, I want to stay by your side." Haibara then rolls her eyes. "Besides, it's my fault I couldn't protect you, it should've been me who has to get hurt, not you.." Conan says as he tilts his head down. Haibara sees that he was being genuine and she felt kind of bad. "Hey..it's not your fault, you didn't know that he'd bomb the restrooms, and it was just at that time that I went in with Kazuha." Haibara says and he still wasn't looking up. She didn't know what to do and before she can think, Conan raised his head towards hers and held her hands. "I won't let this happen ever again, I promise I'll protect you no matter what." He says staring at her sky blue eyes. He remembered those eyes, when they were pleading for help, when the guy was holding her hostage and pointing a gun at her head. He couldn't bare the thought of losing her, that sight is enough to make him lose his mind. He leaned forward pressing his lips on hers in a calming way. Haibara closed her eyes knowing he was now stressed out about what happened, then their lips separated and their eyes locked on to eachother again. "I don't know what I would do without you.." Conan says as Haibara suddenly feels this rush of comfort, no one has ever cared for her like this before, she felt so safe, so loved.

She leans in again to capture his lips with hers, Conan responds to the kiss by kissing her back and then slowly parting away. "I love you." Conan says. "I love you too.."___________________________________________

A few days have passed and it was finally the day that Haibara will be discharged out of the hospital.

"Don't forget to take this medicine for your head so you don't get headaches, and get some rest too." The doctor says before Haibara leaves the room with Conan.

Conan has also slept with Haibara on a chair near her hospital bed and his back was aching from the bad position he was in all night, he couldn't wait to go back to his bed and sleep with Ai.

They both left the hospital and spot Doctor Agasa's car outside. "Shinchi, Ai-kun, how have you been?" He asks. "Good now can you drive Hakase." Conan says tiredly. Haibara shoots him a confused look but she then brushes it off. Doctor Agasa starts driving to Conan's mansion.

They finally reach there and Conan quickly gets out, Haibara close behind. "Thanks Hakase." She says as she follows Conan into his house.

He goes up the stairs and takes off his shirt in one breath and Haibara then decides to ask what's wrong with him. "Shinchi..what's wrong you've been acting like that ever since I got discharged from the hospital." She says but before she can ask again, he turns around and pushes her towards the bed. He starts kissing her neck and sucking, while Haibara was still in shock after what he just did. Conan took it as an opportunity to slide his tongue in her mouth since it was open from shock and he licks her lips and sucks on them making her moan slightly. He then goes back to kissing her neck and sucking on it. "Shinchi.." Haibara slightly moans his name, and something inside him just pops. He stops what he was doing and carries her to the middle of the bed and starts taking off her shirt. She gasped again and let him do it as he captured her lips with his again.

After a few mins he stopped and laid down next to her out of breath. "I missed you.." He says breathing heavily. "Mhm.." she just says as she turns to him and puts her head on his chest. "Can we sleep now.." she asks and he nods and cuddles closer to her. "Goodnight Ai." Conan says as he kisses the top of her head. "Goodnight Shinchi.." she says as she closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep.
