Third Person's POV
Flashback to a a month ago.
Barely any light could pass through inside the building that was hidden on the outskirts of Konoha above the hokage monument. A genjutsu casted to prevent civilians from knowing a certain place existed.
Only particular ones are aware of the ANBU building and the one who established the said place walked alone along the small bridge connecting the halls.
The sound of the bottom of his cane tapping on the cold floor resonated in the dark before he stopped. A split second later, a man dressed in a black cloak with a bird mask covering his face appeared behind him, with one knee on the ground, kneeling in respect to the elder.
"Reporting Danzo-sama. As per your orders, I have investigated Takeda Alexa.", his tone was constant and steady.
The elder's single eye revealed moved back a little. "Is there anything that stands out?"
The Anbu's eyes were darted on the floor. "Yes. I have confirmed that she was adopted by a widow from the Hidden Waterfall Village and Orochimaru seem to have placed a curse mark on her alongside Uchiha Sasuke."
Danzo's eyebrow rose a bit, his curiosity peaked. 'Orochimaru...huh?...and she wasn't from that puny little village...?'
"Anything else?"
The Anbu's gaze flickered lightly. "The rest about her are normal and nothing to be warned of, Danzo-sama."
The bandaged old man turned around. "Nothing to be warned? That girl itself is already a threat now that Orochimaru has taken a keen eye to her. I must grab her loyalty before Hiruzen does."
The masked Anbu lifted his head up.
"You know what to do."
The cloaked man nodded before disappearing into the darkness leaving the elder man alone.
'Adopted...That snake...what does he know about that girl?'
Inside a certain hospital, a certain black haired girl sneezed when she was about to eat the apple Sakura sliced for her.
"You okay, Lhexi?"
Her purple eyes contracted a bit as she hug herself, shivering slightly. "I just felt something ominous."
Sakura giggled. "I hope nothing goes bad."
Lhexi nodded in return before taking another bite of the crescent shaped apples.
The pink haired girl watch Lhexi sip into a mug of milk chocolate. "Uhm...Lhexi?"
The said girl looked at her green eyes. "Hm?"
"Is there something going on between you and Naruto?"
"Hm? Naruto? Nothing really...why did you ask?", she continued on sipping the warm sweet flavor of the drink.
Sakura's cheeks warmed up a little, thinking about the scene from a few days ago. "The truth is...I actually saw you uhm...kissing Naruto..."
Lhexi spat her drink to Sakura's face bewildered and embarrassed. An angry vein appeared on the girl's forehead who's face was now stained with a mud like color hot liquid.
"A-ah! Gomen! Gomen! Here a tissue.", Lhexi handed her a box and Sakura begrudgingly took it before wiping her face.
Her eyes could murder anyone right now and Lhexi sweatdropped.
Sakura fake coughed awkwardly. "A-anyways, care to explain? And don't even dare lie to me."
Lhexi rubbed a certain spot on her neck before speaking. "Sakura, you know the concept of sharing chakra don't you?", the pinkette nodded. "In order to withstand chakra exhaustion, rest is definitely needed. But there are certain times that taking a break doesn't necessarily bring your chakra back and so the concept of sharing chakra comes to the picture."
Sakura thought deeply and finally connected the dots. "O-oh! I get it! But, was it needed to kiss him?"
Lhexi facepalmed. "Argh...why are you dwelling too much into that. It was just a kiss."
The black haired sighed before explaining. "People with good chakra concentration could easily pass chakra through mere physical contact but, knowing Naruto he can't possibly do that...yet. So, I had to pull them out forcibly."
Sakura blushed deep red at the last sentence. "W-w-what?!"
Lhexi sighed once again before drinking the rest of her chocolate. "I leave it to your imagination."
Just then the room bursted open revealing a very annoyed and pissed off Uchiha.
Lhexi raised her hand. "Yo Sasuke."
Sakura noticed the dark look on Sasuke's face, his blazing eyes set on the pinkette.
"T-then I'll get going now, rest well Lhexi.", she quickly dashed out of the room.
"Woah calm down Sasuke. You scared her.", Lhexi reprimanded the Uchiha who just scoffed before approaching her.
Sakura stopped running once she was in the hallway and breathed a sigh of relief. Sasuke's eyes really scared her to death.
'What's wrong with him?'
Her shoulders sank lowly as she walk rather dejected when she thought she did something wrong that made Sasuke angry. He's cold, yes but, not to that extent he would death glare at her.
Her eyes caught a few red petals on the floor trailing towards the trash bin to find a bouquet of healthy roses thrown away. Base from the petals scattered around it, someone probably threw the flowers away only a few minutes ago.
She bit her inner cheeks. "What a waste."
Sasuke crossed his arms and Lhexi tilted her head to the side at the silent treatment he was giving her. She then noticed a red petal sticking out of his right pouch. In any case she ignored it and sighed once again.
Sasuke was sitting on the stool, Sakura just sat on a few moments ago, still not uttering any word.
"Oi...Sassukkee..."
Sasuke stared at her face and Lhexi awkwardly looked anywhere else than his eyes. She faked coughed numerous times but, Sasuke's gaze never faltered.
"Take a picture it will last longer.", she muttered unamuse.
She doesn't like attention even getting stared at. It feels creepy and annoying as hell.
She noticed his ears turning red before he finally spoke.
"What is Naruto to you?"
Lhexi blinked her eyes and creased her eyebrows, not comprehending what he was talking about. "Huuhh??"
"Hn."
"Why are you talking about Naruto like he is some sort of object? He's a human being so treat him with respect at the very least, Sasuke.", Sasuke narrowed his eyes at her.
"Are you angry?"
Lhexi blinked her eyes before crossing her bandaged arms. "Of course. He's my best friend after all."
"If Naruto's your bestfriend what am I to you then?", Sasuke asked his eyes not faltering one bit.
Lhexi couldn't help but deadpan. "Why are you asking me that question all of a sudden? You're getting creepy..."
"Just answer already.", there was a bit of rage lacing from his tone.
He needs to know. No matter what.
Lhexi sighed before straightening her posture looking directly to his eyes.
"Sasuke.", the way she called his name sped up his heart, he wants to know what she thinks of him. "To me you're just Sasuke."
Depressed lines struck the raven haired Uchiha, he wasn't expecting her answer at all.
He was guessing its probably between the lines of "you're my friend" or "a love interest".
"W-what?"
"You're Sasuke. Who else could you be?", she tilted her head to the side, her long hair sprawled all over the bed.
He scrutinized his eyes at her especially on her exposed skin that was getting paler than before he still remembered how she used to have a light peachy skin tone. These days, he could notice the dark bags beneath her eyes that were getting worse than before.
'Is she even taking care of herself properly?'
He wasn't complaining, its just that he's a little worried for her but, nonetheless for him these imperfections just made her a lot more beautiful.
"When are you gonna get discharged?", he asked.
Lhexi ate an apple slice first before responding, "Tomorrow morning."
"Hn. I'll get going now, I have training with Kakashi."
"Sensei. You should adress him with respect Sasuke. Well it's not like you'll listen anyway.", she shrug her shoulders before resting her back on the soft mattress as she turn around to the side. She heard the door open and close and didn't felt Sasuke's presence anymore before she sighed.
The curtain slid to the side and she smiled at the boy resting on the other bed. He had bandages wrapped around his legs but, not as worse as Lhexi who was dressed up like a mummy.
"Did he left?", asks the brunette.
"Hm. We're alone now.", she propped her self on her right elbow before placing her knuckles on her cheek. "Can you be able to walk?", the girl asked to Itsuki.
The boy clutched his legs. "The doctor said it would take two weeks before my legs completely heal. I would need a wheelchair before then. That Tohru guy, he's really powerful."
The said girl chuckled a little as she look outside the windows that were just beside Itsuki. "Who do you think will win, him or I?"
"As you are now you'll lose. Most certainly. He's just as strong like Gaara from the Sand. Train hard, so you won't get hurt."
"Don't worry, I'll win.", Lhexi announced with confidence in her voice.
...........
Alexa's POV
"Just fill up this form, and you're good to go.", I did as what the nurse said before signing the document and gave it back to her. "Hm. That's all. For the safe side, I'm reminding you not to overwork your body and try not to eat any spicy food."
I eyesmiled. "Yes, I'll keep that in mind. Then I'll get going now."
I left the hospital and stretch my arms. "Haah~ Finally I can kiss that damn place goodbye."
The smell of mixed medicine and blood makes me wanna puke everytime. Nothing really beats the air of mother nature.
For now, I would have to train and probably find a teacher if I want to defeat Tohru. Faith really wants us to meet again.
I ran towards the mountains, to a secluded place where I can train alone. I look at the small abandoned house in the middle of the forest and made my way towards it. As soon as I removed the paper seal, the door creaked open and I found myself inside looking at the weapons and scrolls I placed when I was younger.
This is where I made my camp, secluded, and peaceful that all I can hear were the chirps of the birds, rustles of the wind and the streams of the river. Now then, time to attach the weapons, I had Tenten's father customized to my arm and leg gauntlets.
Walking quietly outside the small cabin I heard a heavy splash of water followed by a loud cry. Moving towards the sound, I found myself hiding behind the bushes watching two idiots bicker among each other.
An angry Naruto swam up from the river and pulled up his wet jacket and threw it on the ground.
"Shut up, you old pervy sage! You promised me you will teach me!"
The white haired man sat on the ground. "That is if you master this basic technique!", he crossed his arms and looked away. "Hmmph! What do I expect from an idiot."
My eye twitched.
Naruto clenched his hands to fists and glared at Jiraiya. "I'll show you how far this idiot can go!"
He moved back to the water and focused his chakra on his feet.
I observed him, he's sending lesser chakra than necessary. Looks like I would have to mingle. Jiraiya already sensed my presence, its better if I show up before he calls me out.
"Naruto, you're focusing too little chakra.", I walked out from the bushes and walked on top of the raging water towards him.
"Lhexi-chan! You're finally discharged?"
I placed my hand on my hip before nodding. "Yeah, I was about to train earlier when I heard you guys. So need any help?"
He grinned brightly. "YES! I desperately need your assistance!"
I placed my fingers on my chin and scrutinized my eyes at his stomach.
"Naruto.", my attention drifted towards the sannin who called for the boy.
"What is it now, ttebayo?", the boy ran to him and I watched as Jiraiya fix Naruto's disrupted Chakra system using the five elemental seal causing the boy to gag a little as he was thrown back.
"What was that for?!"
"Nothing. Return to your training."
"Huh?!"
I moved towards them, "Just do what he says, Naruto."
The boy looked at me with his big blue eyes before smiling then nodding.
"Yeah!"
He formed the ram sign and successfully stood still on top of water without any much trouble, he began cheering to himself and I chuckled a bit.
"What's this beautiful young lady doing in the outskirts of the village?"
I eyesmiled at the old man before answering. "You could say I was training."
"Are you acquainted with Naruto? You seem to know each other."
I nodded. "Yes, we're friends, Jiraiya-sama."
"I'm very much fluttered you know my name."
I covered my lips with the sleeves of my yukata before speaking, "Ofcourse, you jest. You're afterall one of the three legendary sannins."
He laughed a little as his eyes moved to the hidden cursed seal on my neck before he rubbed his nonexistent beard. "Your name?"
"Takeda Alexa, but Lhexi for short. That's what my friends call me.", if I didn't turned around I could have seen his reaction.
"Pervy sage! I did it! Lhexi-chan I did it!"
My eyes rolled back towards Naruto and I beamed a small smile at him.
"Good job!", I cheered and he gave me a thumbs up.
..........
"So, you need summons?", the older man asked and I nodded.
"Actually, I've tried with various scrolls but, it doesn't seem to work out.", I told him and he nodded as he think.
The blonde boy nudged me on my stomach and I turned around facing him. "What are summons, Lhexi-chan?"
"Summons are animals that you form pact with which you could use for scouting, fighting, gathering or sending information."
He seem to understood it when his eyes sparkled with excitement and interest.
"Can I have one too?", he pointed to himself.
"It depends. Besides, Jiraiya-sama can definitely help you."
"Pervy sage?"
I chuckled a bit before nodding.
"He may not look like it but, he's pretty powerful.", I whispered in his ear.
"Really?", he asks in disbelief.
Jiraiya interrupted our short conversation.
"A-hem!", he faked coughed as he playfully glare at Naruto for underestimating him. I don't blame Naruto, Jiraiya totally looks like an old fool and an extreme pervert. "Lhexi, your case is something unique but, its not rare."
I raise an eyebrow and he began explaining. "There's a chance that you already formed a pact with your own summons when you were born."
I blinked my eyes, confused. "Is that possible? When I was a baby?"
"A few clans practiced that tradition for several centuries. Maybe you're also part of a certain clan."
I looked at him alarmed. He's pretty intuitive. I underestimated him. Despite his appearance, he's smart.
"Then what should I do?", I asked.
He inhaled a deep breath before opening his mouth. "I don't know!"
Naruto and I deadpanned on the same time. Jeez. Is he really a sannin?
"I only heard this kind of case from before and its already decades ago since then. I can't help you but, I can give you my own fair share of advice."
Naruto and I look at each other before I nodded. "Please tell me, Jiraiya-sama."
"But first!"
"Hai hai, pervy sage just say what you want ttebayo!", Naruto gave a sour look.
"Can you show me the older and hotter version of you?"
I had a major eye twitch before I pulled back my fist and swung it in front of him, I stopped millimeters from his nose just before my knuckles reach him. His long spiky hair were pushed back and the ground below us crack.
The wind generated from the impact blew away trees and a layer of the sediments behind him. The river split into a half sending a huge wave towards us. Despite my short height, my burning gaze and dark aura were enough to impose him and scare him off a little.
I smiled at him, a kind forced one. He sweat buckets for it probably reminded him of Tsunade who beat him up to a pulp almost killing him in the process.
"L-Lhexi-chan! C-c-calm down!"
My head stiffly turned towards Naruto.
"Hm?", a small chuckle escaped from my lips.
..........
My body was cold from being soaked under the raging torrents of the waterfall that kept on hitting my head and shoulders nonstop. I sat on top of a rock with my legs crossed, my eyes closed and my hands on my knees.
Jiraiya instructed me to meditate and search for my inner soul. That was the only way I could make a link to my summons
The problem is I can't make any progress whatsoever. I tried to keep my mind at peace and reach even deeper towards my soul but, it just doesn't seem to reach. As if there's something missing.
Need help?
I smiled. Right on time.
'Yeah. Let's link our souls together. That might work.'
Hm. I got it.
I emptied my find and placed all of my focus on finding the soul of Asuna. The maze was vast but, that didn't stopped us from searching.
The sun descended and the moon replaced its position. I could hear the sound of crickets and the cold wind.
Then something got attached and I creased my eyebrows a bit and touched the soul. It was all too familiar and I smirked to myself before encircling the warm and fuzzy feeling as it does the same.
Something appeared and I could feel something else appearing, it was warm.
'Is that my summon?'
There's more to come.
Asuna was right because it didn't took a minute before several souls began appearing and I opened my eyes, formed the necessary handsigns bit my thumb and slammed my hand on the rock.
My eyes widened when the ground disappeared, the night turned day and I found myself among the clouds, free falling from the blue sky.
The air pressure pushed my body slightly bit but, gravity still won and I continued descending.
I could hear Asuna screaming in my head and I laughed at her reaction, finding her funny.
Idiot! Idiot! Do something about this or we're both gonna die at this rate!
'Hey! I haven't tried sky diving before! This is fun! Don't ya think?'
Its not sky diving if you don't have a parachute!
'Hai hai'
My body relaxed and I stared at the clear blue sky. I spread out my hands in the air, my soaked heair and clothes instantly drying.
My body turned around to see a mountain cliff, a lake below it. I took out two kunai knives and narrowed my eyes at the rough side.
What the hell are you thinking? You're not pulling an Itachi move are you?
'We should have prepared for our funeral at least.'
As soon as I reached the cliff, I focused chakra on my feet and attached them on the rock. But it wasn't enough to keep me steady, blame my pressured weight.
My feet skidded down the mountain and I quickly embedded my knives on rough part of the rock before letting them go. The middle part of the cliff were full of moss making my feet slip in the process.
Fucking idiot! If you die I'll kill you!
I found myself falling again in the dark part of cliff and flung myself around midair, the ground were closing in. I'll hit the floor sooner or later and my head's probably gonna get crushed.
Lhexi!!! You bastard, you could have warned me you were gonna commit suicide!
'5...'
I flipped around so my feet would reach the ground first.
'4...'
Wind sliced through a small part of my face, cutting my cheek a bit.
'3...'
I raised my hands up in the air before swinging my hands to stop the continuous roll of the colorless wire that was attached to the two kunai knives above.
'2...'
My body stopped midair and I clung on the wires and stared down at the lake below me, I was atleast 8 meters above it.
'1...'
I let myself fall this time and I dropped on top of the lake, water splashing around me, disrupting the peaceful serenity of the stream.
'Zero...'
"Safe."
Safe my ass, you almost got us killed.
I giggled a little before looking around me. I stood on top of the water before taking a walk around the misty mysterious place creating ripples on each of my step.
The fog suddenly cleared and I stared at the huge animal whose head was afloat in the water.
"A crocodile?"
It suddenly rose up and I instinctively reached for my katana and stared down at the huge lizard before me.
It walked towards me on its fours and I skid my left foot back a little, taking my stance.
'Is it gonna attack?'
It was a few steps before me when it stopped moving and suddenly bowed its head. I was slightly relieved but, I didn't let my guard down. I narrowed my eyes at it.
"Can you speak?", I asked.
Its green slit eyes moved up towards me before a deep and croaky voice followed.
"Y-yes."
It seems to be scared of me?
I crouched down and pointed the tip of my blade to its neck just to be safe, it began shivering.
"Where is this place?"
It shut its own eyes and lowered its head. "W-were at Mountain Hiro..Asuna-hime...", it addresed me with respect.
My eyes widened in surprise before smiling to myself and placed back my katana back to its sheath.
"Your name?", I smiled at it when it opened its eyes and looked at my orbs.
"G-giro..."
"Are you the only one here?"
Suddenly more and more huge lizards began swamming towards us, revealing themselves. A small one caught my attention for riding on another.
Giro moved out of the way and the small lizard made its way towards me.
It bowed slightly and I did the same before it hopped on top of the water, walking to my direction. It was so small its probably around the size of a puppy.
It took small steps and I sat on top of the water when it did the same.
"Welcome to our humble abode Asuna-chi."
'Oi, Asuna shouldn't you be the one talking to them?'
You do it.
"I am the father of Giro and the chief of all the lizards in this place as well."
I pressed my knuckles on my cheeks and looked at the small animal. If they know who am I, then I can be myself.
"Truly, you are the daughter of Daisuke-chi. You resemble his imposing dignity."
Father?
"So what? He is dead."
His mouth parted slightly. "When we learned of what happened to the great Ryuugaime clan, we were devastated and saddened. And we rejoiced when we learned that the heart of the clan survived."
"How do you know my name?"
He smiled bitterly before answering in his grave voice. "Your father was a cruel man. When you were born, he forced all of us into submission and coerced us into forming a pact with you. Our task was to protect you but, five years ago a barrier was placed between you and our clan that prevented us from helping you."
The massacre was carefully planned out. To think that they even blocked our summons.
It bowed its head. "Please punish this old fool for doing nothing when you needed us the most."
I could feel the emotions behind his words.
I waved that thought away. "That was in the past and we can't do anything about it. Instead of punishing you I want you to serve under me. Do you have any quelms?"
It immediately shook its head. "Its our honor to serve you Asuna-chi."
I smiled before standing up. "Then first remove the contract that's binding everyone of you to me."
He was genuinely surprised when it took a small stride towards me. "H-hai? But, i-if we do y---"
"Its alright. I want to renew the contract. And I only need capable ones who would fight beside me. The rest can do anything they want. When the day comes, I would be needing your help."
"There is no need for that. We were already willing to give our lives to you before you were even born. Daisuke-chi just wanted to protect you."
Every single lizard bowed it head in respect and simultaneously spoke.
"We the descendants of the great Dragons pledge our loyalty to you."
"Then who's the strongest one here?"
..........
"Yo! Lhexi!", I opened the door wider to welcome Kakashi who stood in front of my apartment.
"Kakashi-sa-sensei...what brings you here?", I asked.
He eye smiled at me. "Man! I was looking all over Konoha for you."
"Why?"
He leaned slightly forward. "To train you ofcourse and I'll ask a particular someone to help you with your kenjutsu and taijutsu. He's the best around the village. What do you think?"
I nodded a little bit unsure.
