Chapter 29
08:55, 29 November 2021Alexa's POV
That man, will I meet him again? We live in the same building so, it's highly plausible, right?
Yesterday, I couldn't stop thinking about him and even right now. When Asuna said that she hated Kyuuji, what she probably really meant was that he hurted her. But, the problem is, she's not telling me the truth.
"--xi."
And this body wasn't scared at him. I used to be scared at Kakashi and the others, to the point that I was always close to passing out, but now, I don't know.
"--xi?"
"-xi!"
Don't tell me, could this girl possibly--
"ALEXA!", I was interrupted.
I took out my kunai. "What happened? Where's the enemy?"
"They're all around us. Lhexi, you were spacing out." Itsuki sighed.
"Oh.", I quickly placed back my kunai. "So, what are we gonna do now?"
My teammates both looked at me confused. "Didn't you said you had a plan?", Yuri asked as Itsuki deadpanned.
"Oh sorry, I forgot.", I closed my eyes trying to push away other thoughts. "Alright.", I opened my eyes. "The second exam, haven't officially started yet, but it doesn't mean we can't make a move now. Yuri-san, check for the other team's scroll."
She nodded activating her Byakugan. "From the hidden rain village, they're the weakest who have a heaven's scroll. The shortest one has it on his left pouch."
I looked at the three members from afar.
"They're our target now." Itsuki smirked.
"Just a reminder, avoid that team, especially that woman with long tongue." They both nodded in understanding. "And remember, if we ever get separated don't think twice and immediately run straight for the tower."
"She must be extremely dangerous for you, yourself to avoid her." Yuri stated.
I lowered my head. "Yeah. She's the most dangerous opponent in the Chunin exams. We have to be cautious at all times. Don't let your guard down."
Yuri's expression was serious. "Yeah. We got it."
"I'll make a move now." We both nodded at Itsuki.
He stood up and I watch at how he easily snatched the other team's scroll.
"He he. Look at these brats, cheating even before the exam starts."
Yuri stumbled back at Anko's presence behind me.
"It's not part of the rule. Blame them for being so naive."
She smirked at what I said, before pointing a kunai on my neck.
"Maggots. Your team is disqualified now. If you resist I'll slice your neck, little one."
I internally smiled. "Ehh...can't I bribe you with Dango?"
I heard her laugh as she pat my head as the sharp tip of the kunai graze my skin.
"You're interesting, kid. But, that type of trick doesn't work on me."
"How about I tell you the location of the one who gave you that hickey?"
She tensed up and I could feel her bloodlust leaking out. "How'd you know about the curse mark?", she asked, leaning to my ear.
"I have a fair share of information, care to exchange with me?", I turned around facing her. She removed the kunai on my neck. "I'll tell you the where bouts of your teacher."
Her hand trailed to her neck, "You know too much brat. You would be considered a spy right now.", her eyes glared at me like a python. "Just tell me where he is before I kill you.", she hissed.
I smirked, placing my hand on my hip. "Not until you agree to my deal."
She threw her head back. "I got it. I'll let you get away with this if you tell me where that goddamn motherfucker is."
I silently hummed. "Remember that Kusa kunoichi who returned your kunai a while ago? She's Orochimaru."
She parted her lips before she giggled to herself. "If you're lying, I won't let this go."
I eyes close smiled at her. "Yes, of course. I'm aware that you can kill me anytime you want, I can't risk my life over a stupid scroll."
"What a two faced-bitch.", she chuckled ruffling my hair. "But, I like bitches like you."
She walked away, letting me finally breathe in air. That was tensed, shit I was scared that she might kill me if I mention Orochimaru.
"W-what was that?" Yuri ask as I help her up.
"Nothing. Forget about it and just follow what I say." She nodded still confused and unsure.
Itsuki went back to our team.
"What's wrong with that psycho proctor?", he asked looking back at her.
"She's in a bad mood, don't agitate her." I said to him.
We stood in front of a gate as the two chunin unlock them. I prepared myself for the battles to come.
As soon as the gate unlocked, we dashed inside the forest.
Time for fun.
..........
I held the hilt of my katana, pulling it out slowly from its sheath.
"Don't kill me! I-I'll give you our scroll! So pleas--!", I stabbed him in his heart before he could even continue.
My hand subconsciously traveled to my neck as a surge of euphoria rush to my veins. This feels good.
"Haaahh..."
I stared down at the three lifeless bodies on the ground, their eyes still wide opened in horror.
"L-Lhexi...", I turned around raising an eyebrow at Yuri who looked at me, like I was a monster.
I smiled at her. "What's the matter Yuri-san? Everything's alright, but why do you look so scared?"
"Y-you didn't have to kill them..."
I frowned. "And?"
"It's wrong!"
Wiping the blood out of my face, I placed back my katana.
"You should be used to this. Don't tell me you haven't killed anyone in the past."
Her brows was furrowed. "That's not what I meant! It's different! These guys didn't do anything wrong and they were willing to give up! You could have spared them!"
"It's already done, what can we do about it, hm? Moreover, they signed the agreement which means they were prepared to die."
Itsuki suddenly stood up from crouching down. "Found it. An Earth's scroll."
He tossed it to me and I smiled before placing it in my pouch. "Where's the tower, Yuri-san?"
She clenched her fists, glaring at me before breathing slow and deep.
"By the north.", she spoke.
"Shall we go, then?"
I concentrated chakra on my feet before jumping to the nearest branch, before jumping to another. The two followed me close behind.
We avoided large beasts but, I sometimes couldn't help killing them. I was bathed in blood from head to toe after half an hour passed, when I felt three chakra signatures to the west, one kilometer away.
I stopped on tracks.
"Sensed something?", Itsuki asked and I nodded.
"One among them have a large chakra storage."
"Let's avoid them and hurry to the tower.", Yuri stated, she doesn't want me to kill another bunch of kids.
I smiled and my eyes landed in front of us. On the three sound genins standing before us. "If you're going to the tower, you must have gathered the needed scroll.", one smirked down at us. "Give it to us, if you wish to live."
I ignored him for my focus was on the red haired female. Naruto's distant cousin, Uzumaki Karin. Maybe I can take her in as my ally. She's not a psycho yet, I presume.
"And if we don't want to?", Itsuki asked.
"You leave us no choice but, to kill you.", the other one stated before forming hand signs, leaping behind.
"Ninja Art: Sonic Soundwaves!"
I immediately pulled back the two away from the attack's reach. I can't risk their hearing go lose.
"Leave the two to us and do whatever you want with that girl, you seem to be interested on her.", I chuckled slightly at what Itsuki spoke before agreeing.
He have gotten used to my bad habits and awful personality.
He formed hand signs quick. "Fire Style: Flame Lotus Flower!"
Looks like Aiko-sensei taught him something.
The trees around us was obliterated to ashes. He had a hand to hand combat against one ninja and Yuri was pummeling down another.
The sound of metals clashing against each other resonated in my ears as I look behind me. My katana was halfway pulled out, blocking the kunai, Karin aimed at me.
She looked at me with fear in her eyes. She's a sensor, one who will surpass even Inoichi, could she have sensed malice from me?
I kicked her down her stomach and she fell down from the tree landing on the ground. This is surprising, she's so weak. It feels like I could squash her like a bug if I'm not careful.
I followed suit and landed in front of her. She threw shurikens at me and I caught them with my fingers, walking towards her.
She crawled away before running for her life. But, before she could even be ten steps away from me, I dashed in front, locking with her red eyes.
"Why are you running away?", I asked tilting my head.
She stepped away. "Y-you're a Ryuugaime!"
My eyes widened. How did she know? Even Inoichi couldn't tell.
I twitch my lips upwards. "What are you saying? I don't look like them."
"Even if you seal away that chakra or hide your true colors, you can't fake your desire for blood! How can you still be alive?! You should have been killed by now!", her mouth widened when she saw my leaf headband. "H-h-how?! D-don't tell me you're p-planning o-on--"
I scowled and the next moment, I had her by her neck raising her up the ground.
She struggled from my clutches as I giggle at her. "You see, I don't want to kill you. You're useful to me in a lot of ways and I don't want to waste that."
She kicked me and I raised her higher, choking her in the process. "You're one of the last Uzumaki and I'm the last pure-blooded Ryuugaime, it's a great combination for the two of us if we join hands, don't you think?"
"I-will-n-ever-jo-in you...", I blinked my eyes bored at her, her face was turning blue from the lack of oxygen. I sighed first before releasing her.
She landed on her butt on the ground as she desperately gasp for air.
I heard an explosion from up above us and I smirked. "My team's about to finish their job, looks like I also have to finish mine."
I crouch down to her level. "You stand no chance against me, especially if you're just a useless kunoichi who can't protect herself even from her own teammates who just treat you like a crap of medicine."
Tears welled up her eyes and I watch her well up in tears. So broken, and bruised. This child is so pitiful, I could almost feel sorry for her.
"Oi! Karin! What do you think are you doing?!", I looked behind her to see one of her teammates clutching a burnt side of his body.
Karin immediately stood up before rushing to his side. She had a look on her eyes, hesitancy. He harshly pulled her arm before biting on her. But, before he could absorb her chakra, I walked towards him. Slashed my katana down the boy's body like butter.
Her eyes dilated watching her teammate split into two. Blood splattered on her face. She stared at her crimson hands before letting out a horrifying scream.
That should have been my reaction when I first had my kill, but I was different. It must be because of my bloodline or this body.
She fell down on her knees, still screaming. Argh. So noisy. I scratched my ear and gave an irritated sigh.
"Shut the hell up, will you?"
She was still screaming bloody murder, I think I might accidentally kill her if she won't stop.
What do I do? Even if that boy treated her like shit, he was still her teammate. I walked behind her and sat next to her, watching the pool of blood reach to the soles of our feet.
"If you don't quiet down, you would end up like him.", I threatened and she shoved her fist to her mouth, muffling her cries.
"This is so boring, Oi! Itsuki! Yuri-san! Done?!", as soon as I yelled that, they both landed beside me, staring at the dead body in utter disgust.
"What are you doing? This is not the right time to be resting especially if you're with an enemy."
"Enemy?", I asked looking at Itsuki. I hang my arm around Karin's shoulders who shivered more than ever. "She's not an enemy. She will be useful to us. I believe so."
My male friend sighed tiredly at my lunatic ways. I was suddenly yanked up by my collar by Yuri who was looking at Karin with pity.
"Give it a break! How long will you keep this up, huh?! You keep on killing innocent people who can't even put up a fight against you! Just what are you thinking?!", her other hand gripped my clothes. "From the day I met you! I always have thought you were kind! Was that all for show?!"
Her rants somehow reminded me of Kenma, I smiled. "I can be a human to my friends and I can be a monster on my enemies." I held her arm and pull her slightly towards me. "Although this may be the Chunin exams this is still a battlefield, Yuri-san."
"But--!"
I couldn't hear what she said next when my mind felt like it was getting split into two. My eyesight went haywire and I shook my head, trying to throw the pain away. Then everything I have done sinked in my mind.
'Asuna...did you...?'
I heard a chorus of giggles.
I took over this body just for a bit, and yet your consciousness still remains...this is amazing don't you think?
I-I killed those kids? My hand traveled to my chest. What is this feeling? I've never felt this great before. I didn't felt guilty and still I knew that I was wrong.
Now, I understand why the Ryuugaime clan was called blood thirsty murderers because it was real. Once we get to taste killing someone, we will look for it again and again shedding more blood. Killing is just like drugs for us, it's addicting.
But, I can't let myself fall for something like this. I can't throw away my remaining morals and sanity left. I should not become a psycho who kills others for fun. No matter how inhumane my actions are, I'm still a human in the end.
"Sorry, Yuri-san, I won't do it again.", the girl before me blinked her eyes confused and surprised.
"H-huh? W-whaT?!", she grabbed my collar harsher, blocking my air pathway. "After what you did?! You're just gonna say sorry?!"
I pat her hands, trying to get out of her grasp. "C-can't breathe--!"
She wrapped her hands around my neck and literally squeezed the life out of me.
"Don't fuck with me! Mere words can never atone for the lives you have claimed!"
I was gasping for air and mouthed words to Itsuki who just sighed once again before pulling Yuri away from me.
I coughed multiple times while punching my chest. "I-I know, so I won't repeat it again."
She glared at me and I sent a forced smile at her. "Aiko-sensei was right, you're really a two faced bitch."
I chuckled at her words. "Hai hai--"
Turning to the side while rubbing my neck, I quickly noticed something wasn't right.
Holy mother of cow...
Where the hell did my necklace travel to?
And where's Karin?
My eyes moved all around the place. Looking for an object and a certain red haired that suddenly went missing.
"Oh my...my...of all places, who knew I would land on a goldmine here...", a hiss was heard behind me followed by a release of tremendous terrifying ki that shook me to my knees.
How did Sasuke even stood against this much killing intent?
I forcefully took out all my courage just to swivel my body around, catching his form. "Hello there, looks like Kyuuji missed a little one.", he licked his lips with his long tongue and I don't even have to describe it, it's just straight up disgusting.
He eyed me like a piece of meat that he can't wait to devour.
And from that moment on, ladies and gentlemen, I knew that I fucked up real bad.
