Chapter 30

Yuri's POV

I could see my death flash before my eyes and I couldn't even move an inch, I was too scared to do so. I couldn't see anything but, blood.

What the hell is this?

I couldn't even think straight but, I knew that I was holding a kunai and sooner or later I was gonna use it to stab myself. It's true that I was scared of death but, I was even terrified of this overwhelming pressure.

It's better if I die so, I won't live as a failure. Those disgusting looks they throw at me for being weak. It was traumatizing. Sure I have parents, but they never showered me affections for I didn't met their expectations.

And because of those standards, even Neji, my beloved little cousin changed. I remembered that time during the clan meeting when my father let me play on the main compound, I visited Neji only to see him had a seal on his forehead, like me. And he was fucking four at that time.

And when his father died, his usual bright eyes changed that to that of grossed out whenever he looks at me. As if he was reminded of someone he hated so much.

Tears streamed down my eyes when I remembered those cold lavender eyes. I brought the kunai knife closer to my chest, and in one last single move, it can end all this pain.

I smiled when I felt the sharp tip, I looked up the sky peeking out from the holes of the abundant green leaves.

'Sayonara...'

Blood slowly fell in droplets. Everything was in slow motion until it touched the ground and I heard a shout then everything went completely white.

"RUN!!!"

Before I knew it, someone was holding me in their arms protectively. It was warm. I opened my eyes and met brown ones that just stared ahead as he carry me in his arms, passing the huge trees.

"Itsuki?"

I'm still alive?

Didn't I killed myself?

I look at my right hand that was hurting like a bitch to see a kunai embedded on it. Right, I remember, Lhexi stabbed me on my hand.

"Lhexi...? Where is she?", I ask the brunette who just kept on running.

"She's fighting a man named Orochimaru. She told me to head to the tower immediately to request for help.", his voice was rather calm as if he was not worried.

Orochimaru...?

Sounds familiar...

"Will she be alright...?", I asked tiredly.

I don't like that psycho, but still, I can't help but worry about her wellbeing.

He furrowed his eyebrows a little before answering. "She will be. She's Lhexi.", there was a slight hesitance in his voice.

"...that's...reassuring..."

My eyelids were getting heavy and I took one last glance at Itsuki's face before drifting to a soundless sleep.

'You crazy two faced bitch, better come back...', that was the last thing I can wish for.

Alexa's POV

I stood on the huge crater facing Orochimaru. Itsuki and Yuri are nowhere in sight, now I can go all out against this sannin bastard. He must be done dealing with team 7 if he's already here.

"What do you want from me?", I asked.

He chuckled lowly and the moment I blinked my eyes he was gone.

"I know why you're here. You want to avenge your clan right?", I turned around to see him standing behind me. I didn't even noticed.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

I have to act dumb.

He looked at me dead in the eye. "You don't have to lie. I can feel it, the distinct chakra only a pure member of the Ryuugaime clan possess. There must be some sort of secret as to why you have different characteristics. Now, this is interesting."

I dropped my act and slowly pulled out my katana.

"Then, I have enough reason to kill you."

Before I could even take a single step, something thick and slippery was already wrapped around my body. My movements were simply stopped. He had me wrapped tightly with a giant snake.

"I can't let you get away, there is no assurance I will meet another member of that dead clan. You might as well be my new vessel. One that would be far better than an Uchiha."

Now I'm his main target after Sasuke?

"Bastard, like I'll let you take over me.", I moved up the hilt of my katana to stab the snake releasing me a little before I sliced it to pieces.

I jumped up in the air, forming handsigns as I do so.

"Water Style: Water Dragon Missile!"

He evaded the attack. "As expected of a Ryuugaime, without even using your real chakra you can still perform ninjutsus. Is this how you were able to fool Konoha?"

I threw kunai knives tagged with paper bombs towards him in midair. He blocked them with a mud wall and I landed on the ground perfectly as the bombs detonate, debris flying to the sky.

Did that got him? I saw a black blur running to the side. Ofcourse not, he's fucking Orochimaru.

"Ninja Art: Snake Binding Technique."

He released hundreds of snakes, I don't even know where they came from. They attacked me from all sides, I struggled to stab them. I quickly dashed out of the viscinity just to have them irratingly follow me.

Tch. There's no end to them. If only I have a fire element.

"Wind Style: Wind Breakthrough!"

Every single snake I see was blasted up to the sky, landing everywhere far from me.

I turned around, anticipating his attack but, not quickly dodging nor blocking his fist that collided with my face. I definitely have a cracked cheekbone now.

I was sent a good distance away crashing through trees before I landed against a boulder, creating a small crater. This hurts like hell, damn it.

I slid down on the ground before puking blood. Holding my stomach, I winced painfully at my broken ribcage. Red dots covered my vision, I had to wipe away the blood flowing from my head. I began healing myself only to hear rants from Asuna.

Kora! Take better care of my body you bitch! That hurts!

'You...feel pain?'

Ofcourse! As a payment for renting this body, protect it! And learn to dodge those attacks!

'You're saying it like it's so easy. Why don't we switch and you fight, hm?'

I have read a lot of fanfics in the past when I was younger. If I'm right, the other voice in their head usually takes over them when they're in a state of crisis or in near death-like state. Which means, the same goes for Asuna. Moreover, I believe she's stronger than me.

'Oi, Asuna, he's closeby...'

I...

'Just hurry up and take over. Don't make me wait or else this body you cherish will be a guinea pig for that bastard.'

There was silence. Damn it I have to get moving now, but I can't, moving the slightest will stretch more pain.

'Asuna! Hurry!'

I can't!

'What do you mean you can't?!'

I don't know how to fight!

'What the...'

I know it's absurd but, it's true. I was only able to execute those skills earlier because our minds merged and I only relied on your knowledge and experience.

'Which means...'

I know! I know I'm useless like a piece of shit! Seeing your memories doesn't mean I own your skills. And, I only saw a few clips of your past life, I don't even know what will happen in this place in the future.

"Haah...", I sighed looking up at the sky, done.

I shouldn't really expect something so high. I will only be dissapointed as much. To think that I was once scared of such a coward. I forgot how much she was sheltered and spoiled in the past. She never even held a weapon before and her siblings were such prodigies.

'Then, why did you kill those kids?'

It...felt good for some reason.

I can't object that.

'You know, even Kyuuji will think twice before killing someone. He even hesitated and tried to force you to come with him just for you to live, remember?

I'm better off dead than go with that fucker.

I sighed once again.

'Does it hurt that much?'

'I'll inject this body with painkillers so it will go numb.'

'Alright, stop talking so I won't get distracted.'

She did what I said and I painfully reach something from my pouch before piercing my skin with the thin needle. I watch as the liquid slowly be injected through my veins and I quickly threw it away.

The pain was slowly going away and I waited for a minute before the painkillers finally took effect.

I stood up, feeling nothing but, numbness in my body. I gripped my katana tightly, looking forward towards the direction of Orochimaru. And there he was running towards me at such a crazy speed.

He's late.

Was I thrown that far?

I'm almost out of chakra, I would have to rely on this then.

Placing my left hand on my stomach, I slowly twisted it around unsealing the chakra I hid for years.

I could feel them scorching throughout my veins, swirling around escaping my body, encircling me with chakra.

Orochimaru stopped on tracks, his eyes widening at the sight. My chakra have grown too big compared to five years ago. I might as well be called a zero tailed beast.

What's the meaning of this?

I didn't know it was this big.

Third Person's POV

A glass of water shattered on the floor, its sound resonating inside the whole room, catching the attention of the people inside.

"Kyuuji-taichou?", Hikari asked looking a little surprised.

Kakashi blinked his visible eye at the brown haired male who's eyes dilated and his hands slightly shaking. He knew something was definitely going on. And his stomach was twisting as to what it maybe. He's gut feeling was telling him it was bad, really really bad.

Kyuuji stood up from the couch catching the attention of the others.

"What's the matter Kyuuji-kun?", Kurenai asked worried.

Kyuuji shut his eyes close for a moment before grabbing his jacket and started walking towards the door. "I need to go somewhere.", he left slamming the door close.

"What's wrong with him?", Asuma looked for an answer from everyone in the room who had the same question. "That kid really, leaving his mess for us to fix."

Kakashi shrugged, and buried his nose on his book, his single eye narrowing, as it rolled towards the closed door.

Kyuuji stepped outside the building and began walking to a certain direction. Each step taking more distance than the previous. He quicken his pace and began running, his arms flinging behind him as he speedily dash outside the village.

Black dots formed around his vision for he was panicking but, he continued on running, relying on his other senses.

He could feel it, that chakra that only belongs to one person in this world. He couldn't believe it but, he wanted to even though he knew she shouldn't be alive anymore. The girl of his dreams and nightmares was alive but, he didn't want to create a conclusion for he fear that it may be just an illusion created from his sole selfish wishes.

He didn't want his hopes to be crushed.

He stood infront of gate 41 of the forest of death.

"Kyuuji-san? What are you doing here? It's currently the 2nd phase of the the Chunin Exam.", one shinobi told him politely.

Even though, he couldn't see anything, he sensed the huge number of A-ranked shinobis scattered inside the forest and it was topped with the supposed to be dead girl. Just as he was to step inside, it dissappeared crushing his soul, leaving him devastated.

It pained his heart to accept the fact that she was really gone for he killed her with his own hands. Although, he knew she was dead, to believe it was a living nightmare for him.

No matter how many years have passed, he could never forget her and he will never ever will.

'Asuna...how long will you torment me like this?'

Alexa's POV

As soon as I opened the seal, chakra swirled around me, I quickly crouched down and performed handsigns.

"Hidden Art: White Dragon's Touch."

Everything froze just like that night, and including that was Orochimaru. The ice crystals covering his body cracked and he escaped from getting completely fozen by shedding his skin.

Damn Snake.

He appeared infront of me and I kicked him on his face which he blocked with his arm, he slightly skid on the ground.

"Chakra enhanced, huh?", he grinned.

I wanted to peel off the smug look on his face.

Concentrating Ice Style chakra on my hand, a spear appeared and I used it to stab his eye which he easily caught with his bare hand.

My eyes widened and before I could react he punched me on my gut before kicking me on my chin.

"Even if you have a massive chakra, its useless since you can't control it properly.", I gritted my teeth and backflipped midair.

The second forbidden jutsu. Roar of the Thunder Dragon.

I don't know if I can execute but, its better trying.

His eyes widened when he saw the pattern of my handsigns and immediately sprung to action.

I placed my fist on my mouth before blowing air into the hole. I remember, it's one of the most dangerous ninjutsu on the book.

Why?

Because right now, Orochimaru was blasted away and was getting attacked everywhere around his body and trees were getting uprooted. Lightning rained down creating fire on the dried leaves and the wind was so strong it was slicing through the ground and trunks.

Shit.

I have to get out of here quickly.

It's backlashing on me. My arms and legs were bleeding from the cuts created by the wind. I blocked my face and hurriedly tried to escape only to be pushed in the air as lighting crackled, almost hitting me.

I encased my body with multiple layers of ice spheres. I stayed still inside the sphere, hearing it cracked layer by layer. It was a good ten minutes when it went quiet.

Flicking my fingers, the ice broke down to the molecular level. I landed gracefully on the ground and my hands trembled a little at the sight.

It was a total destruction, a huge part of the forest was obliterated into nothing but dust.

I couldn't believe it was this powerful. I felt like a ping pong ball in the middle of a court.

Just then, someone held me by my neck, my body hovering in the air while glaring at the yellow eyes of Orochimaru. He didn't have a single scratch, oh, he must have shed his skin skin again.

"That hurted little one.", he hissed as his grip tightened and I crawled on his skin, desperately gasping for air.

"Le-t go."

My vision was turning hazy and I have to get out of here, if I want to live.

"You shall me my new vessel.", I felt him biting my neck, placing the heaven's cursed mark.

Shit.

Concentrating chakra on my hand, I proceeded to stab him in his stomach and he let go of me. Since I couldn't feel anything, I didn't notice how much blood I was losing and more than that, how much painful the cursed mark was.

Then it all turned black.

Kabuto's POV

It has only been the first day of the second part of the Chunin exams when from afar I saw something, a huge crater in the middle of the forest.

I look back at my team. "Wait here."

They both nodded in return and I run towards the said place to see Lord Orochimaru in a bad state. He was wounded, but, who could have done it to him? It's not a genin could easily feat.

"Orochimaru-sama!", I called, dashing towards him.

He looked back at me. "Perfect timing, Kabuto."

I stopped by his side to see a girl, lying on the ground in such a bloody mess. Black marks spread across her body. What exactly happened? Lord Orochimaru clearly gave her a curse mark. But why?

What could be so special about this child?

"Give her the pill Kabuto."

My eyes widened in shock and I turned back to him. That pill is originally intended for Sasuke, to forcefully awaken his dojutsu, that is if he haven't awakened it yet. Although it's only temporary, lasting for a few minutes or so.

I nodded and although I was perplexed I did what he said. I turned the girl over and finally recognized her.

It was the famous leaf genin on wanted list within Tsukigakure with a B-rank title who have atleast a million ryo bounty on her head.

Her name was Alexa, one who's name is unique that it's hard to forget.

I fed her the black pill and made her drink some water. Stepping back, she began choking and gasping for air, holding her throat.

She rolled on the ground first before painfully standing up, her blood dripping on the dry soil. Chakra encircled her, getting bigger as each second pass by. It was so large, it was visible to the naked eye.

This feeling was somehow familiar.

That was the time when something else wrapped itself around her body. It was black, menacing and terrifying.

The moment she opened her eyes, I was frozen in fear.

Those eyes...

Those eyes...

I heard Orochimaru-sama laughing, but I couldn't take my eyes off her. Because if I did, I was scared that I would meet my death sooner than I expected.

Her eyes were glowing golden, three blue circles around her blue iris. To think that someone from that clan was still alive, scares me.

"O-Orochimaru-sama...", I stuttered while taking a step back.

"I was right! She's indeed a pure blooded one! That damn old geezer would be thrilled to learn about this! Even if I don't destroy Konoha, there would be someone else who would fill my spot. Afterall I'm not the only one who bore hatred for this village. This people will soon reap what they sow.", he continued laughing like a maniac as if ignoring the person we should be most alarmed right now.

"Even I wasn't aware of this child who was hiding in the shadows for years, secretly hiding her fangs. I wonder what's left of Konoha in the future if she succeeds with her revenge?"

The girl took a step forward looking directly at us but, not exactly, it was as if she was blind. I took a stance ready to battle her if the situation turns even worse than this. She took another step only to fall forward, Lord Orochimaru caught her before she almost landed on the ground.

He formed the five elemental seal and casted it on her. Her terrifying chakra was gone and it was replaced by something normal and average.

"Kabuto, take a blood sample and heal her but, not completely. Just make sure she doesn't die.", I nodded before taking her injured body in my arms. "After that, take out those rats.", he hissed.
