𝐍a-yeon rushed over to Coach Kang, her heart racing as she asked, "Coach Kang, did you call the police already?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly with nervousness.
"Yeah, sure" Coach Kang replied dismissively, waving a hand as if to brush off her concern, urging her to help the others block the doors.
Coach Kang hurried towards Na-hee to rally the others, causing Na-hee to instinctively back away slightly, her eyes wide with uncertainty.
She felt a wave of nervousness wash over her, and just then, Wu-jin gently placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder which made her flinch at the sudden contact.
"Are you okay, Na-hee?" he asked her gently, his voice low and soothing amidst the chaos.
Na-hee nodded, her cheeks flushing slightly as she felt the warmth of his hand. Thanking Wu-jin with a small smile, she thought, who wouldn't blush when your crush is just literally a few inches from your face?
"I'm okay... I just don't fully trust Coach yet.." she replied, making sure to lower her voice so only he could hear.
Wu-jin hummed thoughtfully, his brow furrowed in concern. "Don't worry, Na-hee.." he said as he patted her shoulder, a gesture that sent a small thrill through her.
She let out a small smile, feeling a sense of comfort in his presence.
As they both helped the others barricade the doors with desks and chairs, the sound of wood scraping against the floor filled the room. Na-hee felt focused on the task at hand, pushing a heavy chair into place. She could hear the muffled voices of their classmates, a mix of fear and determination, as they worked together to create a barrier.
On the other hand, I-sak stopped On-jo from helping, her eyes wide with urgency. I-sak discovered something that filled her with fear, and she leaned closer to On-jo, her voice barely above a whisper, not wanting to alarm the others who were busy strategizing in the corner.
"On-jo, look." she said eagerly, desperation lacing her tone as she pointed ttowards Coach Kang's arm.
"What is it?" On-jo asked, her brow furrowing in confusion as she glanced in the direction I-sak was indicating.
"Why did you stop me?"
I-sak's gaze darted around the room, ensuring no one else was listening. "There. His hand!" I-sak replied, pointing with wide eyes.
Both of them quickly turned their attention to Coach Kang, who was standing a few feet away, his brow furrowed in concentration. A dark, angry bite mark marred the skin of his hand, the edges red and swollen, as if it had been inflicted only moments ago. Fear began to creep into their hearts as they exchanged worried glances.
On-jo, sensing the rising tension, instinctively took Na-hee's hand and pulled her away from Coach Kang, who seemed oblivious to their concern. Na-hee looked up at her friends with wide, innocent eyes, her curiosity piqued.
"What is it?" she whispered, her voice barely above a breath, as if speaking too loudly might shatter the fragile calm.
"He has a bite mark, Na-hee!" I-sak exclaimed, her voice trembling, visibly shaken by the sight.
"Coach Kang, your hand!" On-jo warned him, her voice trembling as both of them stared in shock, their hearts racing.
Na-hee looked at I-sak and On-jo, her brow furrowed in confusion, then her gaze shifted to Coach Kang's hand. There, stark against his tanned skin, was the a bite mark an angry and red, a stark reminder of the chaos that had just unfolded.
The sight sent a chill down on Na-hee's spine. She felt her breath hitch in her throat, the reality of the situation crashing down on her.
Instinctively, she took a step back, her heart pounding like a drum in her chest. Pulling the two girls beside her, as the two felt the shift in her energy and instinctively backed away with Na-hee, their eyes wide with fear.
"Hey you three! What are you doing? Come and help us!" Coach Kang called out loudly, his voice echoing.
"You have a bite mark on your arm!" On-jo exclaimed, pointing dramatically at Coach Kang, where a small, red mark stood. A collective gasp as everyone turned to look at him, eyes wide with concern and curiosity.
Had they really let someone in with a bite mark without knowing? The girls instinctively took another step back, their minds racing with thoughts of what that could mean.
"But he said he wasn't bitten" Gyeong-su added, his brow furrowing in confusion.
The tension in the room thickened as Coach Kang's eyes darted around, searching for an escape. "What? No, no. I wasn't bitten. Really" he insisted, his voice trembling slightly as he tried to cover the bite mark on his arm with his other palm.
But everyone had already seen it. The whispers began to ripple through the group, eyes wide with horror.
"It's a bite mark." On-jo stated matter of factly, Her voice was steady, but there was a hint of nervousness in her eyes.
The room fell silent, the weight of her words hanging in the air. Coach Kang swallowed hard, his heart racing as he realized he was cornered.
"No. I said i wasn't. Don't talk back to me. Okay?" Coach Kang's voice was sharp, cutting through the tension in the air.
His frustration was palpable, and Na-hee could feel the heat radiating from him. She took a small step back, her heart racing as she tried to process his anger.
"Coach, it looks like you've been bitten." Na-hee said, her voice trembling slightly as she blinked rapidly, trying to maintain her composure while glaring at him.
Coach Kang's gaze hardened, and anger surged through him like a storm. "I said I wasn't! Stop saying nonsense!" he yelled, his voice loud, making Na-hee flinch.
I-sak and On-jo, sensing the rising tension, instinctively moved closer to Na-hee, their presence a silent promise of support. They held her tightly, forming a protective barrier as Coach Kang stepped forward, his expression fury.
"Then why the hell are you hiding it? Show it to everyone!" I-sak yelled back at him, stepping closer, her voice echoing off the classroom walls.
The tension in the air thickened, and a brief silence enveloped the room, all eyes darting between I-sak and Coach Kang.
"Coach Kang, it would be best if you get out of here right now" Na-hee interjected, her tone firm yet laced with concern.
She stepped forward, her brow furrowed, ready to defend her friends. Na-yeon, sensing the escalating situation, rushed up towards her, pulling her back gently but insistently.
"Come on, Na-hee, let's just-" she started, but Na-hee stood her ground, her determination unwavering.
"Get out of here immediately" I-sak reiterated, his voice steady but edged with urgency.
Coach Kang, arms crossed and a smirk playing on his lips, let out a sigh of amusement, clearly unfazed by the confrontation.
"Please get out" Na-hee added, her voice barely above a whisper, her palms feeling sweaty as anxiety coursed through her. She could feel her heart racing, the weight of the moment pressing down on her.
The silence stretching as everyone held their breath, waiting for Coach Kang's next move. "You brat!" Coach Kang yelled. towards the girls. Na-hee instinctively stepped forward, positioning herself protectively in front of her friends.
The other girls stood frozen, concern etched on their faces, their eyes darting between Na-hee and Coach Kang. "Keep your distance." Na-hee stated firmly, her glare piercing Coach kang.
"She said to get out!" I-sak interjected, her voice rising as she directed her attention back to Coach Kang, who was now fuming, his fists clenched at his sides.
"Hey, come here!" Coach kang sharp command sliced through the air, sending a wave of tension rippling through the group.
Everyone felt alarmed, their hearts racing as they turned to see Coach Kang's furious expression directed at the girls.
Na-hee, her eyes wide with determination, stepped forward instinctively, positioning herself between I-sak and Coach Kang. "Stay back, Coach!" she shouted, her voice steady despite the fear bubbling beneath the surface.
She raised her hands, palms out, in a gesture of protection, but Coach Kang dismissed her with a harsh wave, his frustration boiling over.
"Yah! don't hurt Na-hee!" Na-yeon yelled up, her voice trembling slightly. Though her heart pounded in her chest, she couldn't bear the thought of her friend being in danger.
"Stay back, Coach" Su-hyeok warned, his tone low but fierce. He stood tall, his posture radiating an unyielding strength as he positioned himself beside Na-hee.
Suddenly, Coach Kang's nose began to bleed, a crimson stream trickling down his face. He turned his back away from everyone, his shoulders tense, and a wave of fear washed over the group. Everyone instinctively backed away, their eyes wide with disbelief. Su-hyeok, sensing the danger, pulled Na-hee close to him, shielding her with his body as if he could block the impending chaos.
As Coach Kang turned around, his fury palpable, On-jo seized the moment and smacked him on the head with her backpack, leaving everyone in shocked silence. The sound echoed in the room, and Coach Kang's expression twisted into one of rage, his eyes narrowing dangerously.
Na-hee's heart raced as she quickly pulled On-jo and I-sak away, knowing that Coach Kang was about to explode. She felt a warmth when On-jo's hand brushed against hers, a fleeting moment of comfort amidst the chaos. "You slut!" Coach Kang cursed, his voice booming as he shouted at On-jo, his face contorted with anger. Na-hee widened her eyes in disbelief.
"Watch your mouth!" Na-hee retorted, surprising even herself. She wasn't the type to talk back to teachers, but in this moment, her protective instincts kicked in. Coach Kang began to walk toward them slowly, each step heavy with menace, and the tension in the room thickened.
Suddenly, Coach Kang collapsed on the ground, causing everyone to cower in fear. Su-hyeok instinctively moved closer to Na-hee, his grip tightening around her wrist.
"What the hell!"
Coach Kang began to shake violently, his bones cracking, and his movements became erratic. Na-hee felt a chill run down her spine, something was about to go terribly wrong.
"Get him out of here, throw him out!" Na-yeon cried out from the corner, her hands covering her ears as if trying to block out the horror unfolding before them.
"He's turning into one of them!" Panic surged through the room as Coach Kang lunged toward Min-ji and he bit her face the others stood frozen in shock and in horror, Dae-su, alarmed, rushed forward to intervene, grabbing Coach Kang and throwing him into the lockers with a loud crash.
Min-ji sat on the ground as she cried, her hands covered in blood from Coach kang. "I don't wanna die..." She admitted lowly. Na-hee stared at her classmates in sorrow, she felt bad but she also felt the sudden outcome.
As Coach Kang recovered, he launched himself in their direction, and screams filled the air as everyone scrambled to avoid him. Na-hee slid on the floor but quickly regained her footing, her heart pounding in her chest.
Coach Kang's eyes were locked onto her, and he lunged again, his movements wild and unpredictable.
Na-hee's instincts kicked in, and she ran, narrowly escaping as Coach Kang collided with desks and chairs, sending them flying. The chaos around her blurred as she focused on survival. Cheong-san, seeing her distress, quickly pulled her toward the group, his eyes filled with concern and determination.
Su-hyeok managed to push Coach Kang to the ground, letting out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. Cheong-san grabbed a desk as a makeshift shield and rushed toward Na-hee, ready to protect her at all costs.
Cheong-san used the desk to pin Coach Kang against the wall, his face strained with effort as the coach grunted in anger. Gyeong-su quickly joined him, and together they struggled to keep Coach Kang restrained.
The room was filled with chaos, and Min-ji's terrified cry pierced through the noise, causing the others to back away from her instinctively.
Na-yeon, in a panic, rushed toward the door, desperately pushing the desk aside in her path. Min-ji, unsure of what to do, started to walk towards Na-yeon, her eyes wide with confusion.
"Don't come closer!" Na-yeon shouted, her voice trembling as she cowardly stepped back, fear overtaking her.
"Get away from me!" Na-yeon kicked Min-ji away in a moment of sheer panic, causing Min-ji to fall to the ground.
As she lay there, her expression shifted, and she slowly began to transform, her features twisting into a grotesque semblance of a zombie. The sight sent shockwaves through the classroom, igniting even more chaos.
Dae-su held Min-ji tightly, trying to prevent her from biting anyone in their frantic escape. Su-hyeok rushed toward the door, his heart racing, and began to help Na-yeon move the rest of the desk away from the entrance so they could make their getaway.
Once they successfully cleared the path, he yelled out to everyone, "Let's go!" His voice was laced with panic as each person scrambled to get out one by one.
Dae-su struggled to keep a firm grip on the zombie-fied Min-ji, who thrashed in his hold. Meanwhile, Gyeong-su and Cheong-san fought to keep Coach Kang pinned against the wall with the desk, their muscles straining against the weight of the situation.
Just as Na-hee was about to rush in to help them, Na-yeon pulled her close, Na-hee yelled urgency in her voice. "Get out of there!" she urged, as she was dragged outside to safety while the four boys remained behind, battling the relentless zombies.
In a moment of desperation, Dae-su threw Min-ji to the ground as he dashed out of the room, his heart heavy with the decision. Cheong-san and Gyeong-su followed suit, quickly tossing Coach Kang to the floor.
With adrenaline pumping, Gyeong-su, Cheong-san, and Su-hyeok finally made it out of the classroom, but just as they did, the zombies lunged at Su-hyeok. He fought against the two zombies, his breath coming in ragged gasps. With a burst of determination, he managed to avoid their grasp and slid the door closed behind him, sealing off the chaos for just a moment longer.
Na-hee quickly caught up with everyone as they frantically scanned the hallway for classrooms that were free of zombies. Their loud footsteps echoed, attracting the attention of the undead.
At the end of the hallway, the zombies snarled hungrily, causing Na-yeon to fall to the ground in fear. Na-hee, who was right behind her, rushed forward to help her up, gripping Na-yeon tightly as she screamed in terror while the zombies rushed toward them.
The group instinctively stepped back, their hearts pounding in their chests. The zombies were mere inches away from Na-hee when, in a flash, her savior appeared. Su-hyeok came barreling down the hallway, leaping off the wall and launching himself at the nearest zombie.
He tackled one to the ground, momentarily pinning it down, completely unaware that another zombie was charging toward the others. Na-yeon screamed in fear, gripping Na-hee's clothing tightly as she instinctively shielded herself behind her friend.
With adrenaline coursing through her veins, Na-hee spun around and kicked the approaching zombie away from them, her fist raised high in determination. She knew that using her legs was the best strategy for fighting zombies, as it avoid direct contact with them.
Just then, Na-yeon let out another scream as another zombie managed to break free from Su-hyeok's grasp and began marching toward them. Na-hee stood tall, her resolve unwavering, and delivered a powerful kick to the zombie's face. it Stumbled back towards Su-hyeok and he beat the shit out of it.
Cheong-san, determination gleaming in his eyes, seized a nearby window frame as a makeshift defense. Gyeong-su, recognizing the urgency of the situation, quickly followed suit, grabbing another window frame. Together, they formed a sturdy barrier against the relentless tide of zombies that threatened to overwhelm them.
Just then, Dae-su burst into action, yanking a heavy door from a nearby classroom. He gripped it tightly, his resolve unwavering as he shouted,
"Hey! Get out of the way!" With fierce determination etched on his face, Dae-su charged toward the boys, who were already struggling against the weight of the horde.
Feeling a surge of confidence, Na-hee joined them. She rushed forward, lending her strength to the group. As she glanced back at the others, her eyes widened with urgency, signaling them to join the fight.
"Girls! Come quick!" Na-hee yelled, her voice cutting through the chaos like a beacon. Without hesitation, the girls sprang into action, rushing forward to add their strength to the growing barricade.
With their combined efforts, they gained a significant advantage, pushing the zombies back toward the stairs.
"Get out of here, Na-hee! Head upstairs!" Wu-jin yelled, his voice firm and commanding.
Su-hyeok signaled to Na-hee, urging her to lead the way. She nodded at him, her heart racing with a mix of fear and determination.
"Come on, everyone! Up the stairs!" she called out, leading the girls toward safety, ready to face whatever dangers lay ahead.
The others made it upstairs, but they cowered in fear when a zombie suddenly appeared in front of them. "Get back!" Na-hee shouted, and they all scrambled up the stairs in a panic, their hearts racing as they felt the urgency of the moment.
"Dae-su, watch out!" I-sak warned as another zombie emerged behind him. Reacting quickly, Dae-su shielded them with the heavy door once again, but more zombies were closing in fast. Na-hee rushed forward to help him, and the others quickly joined in.
"Guys, push!" Cheong-san yelled, his voice filled with determination as he urge everyone.
I-sak stood in front of the locked door to the science lab, her heart pounding in her chest. The sounds of chaos echoed behind her, mingling with the relentless groans of zombies closing in. Desperately, she twisted the doorknob, but it wouldn't budge. Panic surged through her as she realized the gravity of their situation.
"I-sak! What's going on?" Cheong-san shouted from the hallway, glancing back nervously as he fought off a couple of zombies. His eyes darted between the door and the advancing threat.
"It's locked! I can't get it open!" I-sak replied, her voice shaking with fear. She could hear the growls of the zombies getting closer, and her heart raced faster, each thud echoing in her ears.
*Shit? Now?!* Na-hee yelled in her mind, her heart pounding as she stared at the zombies desperately trying to bite them. The urgency of the situation was palpable.
"Try to open it!" Na-yeon urged I-sak, her voice laced with anxiety.
"Can't you see that it's locked!?" I-sak snapped back, frustration mingling with fear.
On-jo turned to Dae-su, her expression serious as she instructed him to push. "What!?" Dae-su replied, confusion evident on his face. Na-hee shook her head, realizing that On-jo might have a plan. Desperate to give her the chance she needed, Na-hee encouraged them, "Just do what she says and push!"
With a surge of determination, On-jo managed to grab hold of a nearby tool, rushing toward the lock with urgency. They all pushed harder against the door, hoping to buy her enough time. As she worked on the lock, Na-hee could see the fear in everyone's eyes, but On-jo's focus remained unwavering, her brow furrowed in concentration.
"Be careful! It's above you, it's climbing over!" Gyeong-su quickly warned, his voice urgent as he fought off a zombie that was trying to reach them.
They hit the zombie with the window frame, causing it to crash to the floor with a thud. Meanwhile, Na-yeon and On-jo remained focused on unlocking the door, their breaths quickening with each passing second.
"What's taking so long!?" someone shouted, panic creeping into their voice.
Finally, with a satisfying click, the lock gave way. The door swung open, and they rushed inside, leaving the terrifying sounds of the undead behind them. They were safe, at least for now, and it was all thanks to On-jo's quick thinking and unwavering resolve.
Dae-su slammed the door on the zombies, but in the chaos, a window in the science lab shattered. As the number of zombies began to swell, Dae-su hurried inside the room, slamming the door behind him with a heavy thud.
On-jo glanced at the door, her heart sinking as she realized the phone, which had been tucked into her jacket, was missing. It must have fallen when she had rushed in.
Just then, a zombie stumbled into the scene, its foot crushing the phone beneath its weight. A wave of despair washed over her as she understood their situation she had lost all hope of calling for help.
The group quickly caught their breath, huddled in the corners of the room, trembling with fear. Dae-su wiped the sweat from his brow, but suddenly, a zombie's gnarled fingers reached through the broken window, grabbing his face. A collective scream erupted from everyone as panic surged through the cramped space.
"Oh shit!" Dae-su shouted, his voice laced with terror.
Joon-yeong, witnessing his friend in trouble, sprang into action. He grabbed the fire extinguisher nearby and swung it at the zombie with all his might. In the chaos, he accidentally smashed another window, the sound of shattering glass echoing ominously in the confined space. Fear coursed through him as he stumbled back, his heart racing in disbelief at the horror unfolding around them.
Seeing Joon-yeong's struggle, Ji-min and Cheong-san rushed forward to help.
"Get a desk!" Cheong-san commanded, his voice steady despite the chaos.
Na-hee quickly joined them, her determination evident as she rushed toward the group. Together, they grabbed a large desk, pushing it against the broken windows in a desperate attempt to barricade themselves. However, the growls of the zombies outside grew louder, reminding them that they were still in grave danger.
Na-yeon darted toward On-jo, her eyes wide with urgency. "On-jo, hand me the phone!" she said anxiously, not realizing that On-jo had lost it during their frantic escape.
"Sorry, I lost it" On-jo replied, genuine regret washing over her. The phone had been their only chance to call for help, and she felt the weight of that loss.
Na-yeon, however, was quick to anger. "How could you lose it?" she snapped, her frustration boiling over.
"Who cares? We've got a secured room now" Gyeong-su interjected, trying to defuse the tension with a serious tone.
"Like you can talk" Na-yeon shot back, her eyes narrowing at him. "It's because you didn't lock the door! If you had done that, the gym teacher wouldn't have gotten to us"
Na-yeon continued, "We almost died because of you!"
"Then why didn't you do anything?" Gyeong-su countered, unwilling to give her the satisfaction of winning the argument.
"You're so fucking annoying!" Na-yeon exclaimed, her voice dripping with disdain.
At that moment, Gyeong-su had finally reached his breaking point. He rushed toward her angrily, tightening his grip on her shoulder. Na-yeon flinched, her confidence faltering as fear flickered in her eyes.
"GET OFF OF ME, GYEONG-SU!"
"You're so fucking unbearable!"
"I FUCKING HATE YOUR GUT!"
"Can you two stop arguing?! We're in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, and you're fighting?" Na-hee admonished them firmly, her voice cutting through the tension like a knife.
"Na-hee's right! Stop it, you two!" Joon-yeong chimed in, his frustration evident.
Na-hee gently patted Gyeong-su's shoulder, pulling him away from Na-yeon and toward the others. "Ugh! This is so fucking annoying!" Na-yeon exclaimed, kicking a chair out of her way in anger. In a fit of frustration, she yanked off her headband and threw it to the floor, the fabric landing with a soft thud.
"Sorry, Na-hee" Gyeong-su muttered, his tone apologetic.
Na-hee smiled softly at him, waving off his apology. "It's fine."
Taking a moment to assess the situation, Na-hee looked around to ensure that everyone had made it out. Her heart sank when she realized one person was missing. She caught a glimpse of everyone, except... Lee Su-hyeok. Panic surged through her as her eyes widened.
"Su-hyeok? Where is he?" she called out, her voice laced with urgency.
Everyone froze, their eyes darting around the room in search of Su-hyeok, but he was nowhere to be found.
"Has anyone seen him?" Cheong-san asked, glancing at Na-hee with guilt.
He knew he could have helped Su-hyeok but had chosen not to for Na-hee's safety. The thought of leaving her side in a moment like this felt unbearable.
"Cheong-san, you were with him, right?" Gyeong-su pressed, his brow furrowing with concern.
"He was right behind me." Cheong-san replied, his voice shaky. "I don't know where he is now." He glanced around the room, anxiety creeping into his chest as he noticed the worried expression on Na-hee's face. It made him feel even worse.
A heavy silence fell over the group, thick with dread. Suddenly, the speakers crackled to life, making them cover their ears as an announcement blared through the room. Na-hee recognized the voice immediately, it was Mrs. Park.
"Everyone, students and teachers of Hyosan. I'm Park Sun-hwa, the English teacher" she announced, her voice trembling. "Something strange is happening throughout the school. Some students are attacking others indiscriminately."
Na-hee sank down onto the cold, hard ground, her mouth trembling as she fought back tears at the sound of Mrs. Park's voice. The weight of her worries grew heavier with Su-hyeok still missing. She knew he could fight, but the fear for his safety gnawed at her insides.
I-sak laid her head on Na-hee's shoulder, both of them feeling the crushing weight of despair as they began to lose hope. Na-hee felt a pang of guilt for her friends, they didn't deserve to be caught up in this nightmare. She quickly wiped her tears away, glancing out the window as silence filled the room, though the growls and snarls of the zombies ooutside.
"So please flee and find a safe place. Students, hide somewhere safe until help arrives" Mrs. Park continued, her voice thick with nervousness and anxiety. It sounded as if she were on the verge of tears.
"If you can get out of the school, please do so. I'm sorry... I-I can't help." Her voice broke into sobs, echoing the hopelessness of their situation.
Na-hee stood up, I-sak beside her, and they moved toward the window, staring outside. The once vibrant school she had walked into on her first day now lay shrouded in an eerie silence, broken only by the distant moans of the zombies.
I-sak looked at Na-hee with a furrowed brow. "Are you alright, Na-hee?" she asked, her tone filled with concern.
Na-hee mustered the courage to let out a small smile in response. "Kinda. I'm just really worried about Su-hyeok and Mrs. Park" Na-hee admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
I-sak nodded slowly, her expression softening. "I know... I'm sure Mrs. Park is safe right now" she began, trying to reassure her friend.
"And Su-hyeok... you know how strong he is." I-sak's words were meant to comfort Na-hee, and for a moment, it seemed to work.
"Su-hyeok is really strong, I've seen it a lot" Na-hee replied, her smile growing a little brighter.
However, I-sak noticed the way Na-hee's eyes lit up at the mention of Su-hyeok and couldn't help but tease her.
"By the way, I've noticed you two are really close. Do you like Su-hyeok?" I-sak asked, a cheeky smile spreading across her face.
Na-hee raised an eyebrow at the sudden question, her cheeks flushing slightly.
"What makes you say that?" Na-hee asked, turning to face I-sak fully, curiosity mingling with surprise.
I-sak let out a playful laugh. "I mean... I sometimes see you two hanging out alone. I thought you were together!" she admitted, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Na-hee chuckled softly amidst the chaos surrounding them. "Oh, you got it all wrong! Su-hyeok was just helping me build up my strength, and he even assisted me with all the kicking stuff!" Na-hee explained, her voice animated as she recalled their training sessions.
I-sak nodded, though she still seemed skeptical. "Alrighty!" she responded, pulling Na-hee close in a comforting embrace. She glanced around, ensuring no one was eavesdropping on their conversation.
"Na-hee..." I-sak whispered, her tone suddenly serious.
Na-hee hummed in response, sensing the shift in her friend's demeanor.
"You should be careful all the time, okay?" I-sak said, her voice low and filled with concern. "I have a feeling something really bad is going to happen to... you."
Na-hee's heart raced at I-sak's words. "What makes you say that?" she asked, her brow furrowing with worry. The air between them grew tense, and Na-hee couldn't shake the feeling that I-sak's intuition might be right.
"You should stay away from them Na-hee, listen to me."
Na-hee felt a lump form in her throat as she looked at I-sak. "Nothing bad is going to happen, I-sak" she said gently, trying to reassure her friend.
"I'll be safe, okay?" She finished her statement with a warm smile, and I-sak mirrored her expression, though a hint of worry still lingered in her eyes.
Na-hee reached out and held I-sak's hand, her fingers wrapping around it softly. However, as she did, her smile faltered, replaced by concern. "I-sak... your hand..is cold."
