"𝐎h, it's probably just the weather. You know..." she replied with a light laugh, but Na-hee could see the unease in her friend's eyes.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Na-hee pressed, her voice laced with genuine concern. She squeezed I-sak's hand a little tighter, wanting to convey her support.

I-sak nodded, though the smile on her face didn't quite reach her eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little chilly, that's all" she said, but Na-hee could sense that there was more beneath the surface.

The two friends stood there for a moment, the weight of their unspoken fears hanging in the air. After I-sak mentioned she was starting to have a nosebleed, concern immediately etched itself onto Na-hee's face.

I-sak instinctively brought her hand to her nose, wiping away the crimson blood that was trickling down. As she continued to dab, Na-hee noticed a distinct shift in I-sak's body language.

"I-sak, are you bitten?" On-jo asked softly, her voice barely a whisper, as if afraid to provoke a violent reaction.

Na-hee turned to see On-jo, her face etched with worry, staring intently at I-sak.

I-sak's breathing hitched as she processed the question. "No! I wasn't" I-sak replied, her voice low and shaky, shaking her head vigorously as if trying to deny reality itself.

She turned to Na-hee, desperation swirling in her eyes. "Na-hee, I wasn't bitten, right?" Her voice rose, drawing the attention of everyone in the room.

The sudden spike in volume sent a wave of alarm through the group, and anxiety thickened the air.

Na-hee felt her eyes prick with tears, threatening to spill over. She shook her head in denial. "You weren't!" Na-hee managed to choke out, fighting back sobs. Her eyes frantically scanned the room, seeking confirmation, desperate for someone to agree.

Na-hee was focused on helping the others push against the door with all her strength, while On-jo frantically tried to unlock the science lab. In a moment of horrifying distraction, no one noticed a zombie latch onto I-sak's leg, sinking its teeth in. I-sak, silently enduring the pain, continued to help the others, her face a mask of forced calm.

"What's going on?" Na-yeon asked, her voice laced with concern as she stirred awake. She pushed herself up from her chair, her posture tense and alert.

"Did you get bitten?" she pressed, her eyes darting between I-sak and Na-hee, searching for answers, for any sign of the truth.

"I said I wasn't!" I-sak snapped back, her voice cracking with panic.

Na-hee pulled I-sak into a tight embrace, refusing to believe what was happening. Meanwhile, On-jo stared at I-sak, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.

I-sak suddenly dashed toward the mirror, her reflection revealing the blood smeared across her face and the unsettling, subtle change beginning to manifest in her eyes.

"Hey. Are you okay?" Gyeong-su asked I-sak, his voice filled with concern as he cautiously stepped closer to her.

I-sak suddenly turned, her gaze locking onto them. Her lively eyes, once full of warmth, had now turned into bloodshot orbs that Na-hee and On-jo barely recognized. A horrifying transformation was taking place.

"On-jo, Na-hee?" I-sak called out to them, her voice eerily soft as she walked slowly in their direction.

"Yah! Kim Na-hee, get back!" Na-yeon yelled out, fear and worry for her best friend coloring her voice.

I-sak reached out and gently grabbed On-jo and Na-hee by their wrists, her grip surprisingly gentle. "I really wasn't, right?" she asked softly, as if she was finally accepting the horrifying truth.

Na-hee blinked a few times to stop her tears from flowing. "No- when-" Na-hee choked out through her words.

On-jo shook her head in denial as the three friends embraced in a tight, heartbreaking hug. Na-hee raised a hand to cover her mouth, trying to stifle her sobs, not wanting anyone to see her break down. She let out a shaky breath, still refusing to accept the reality unfolding before her.

"Hey, what are you doing? Get her out of here right now!" Na-yeon yelled at everyone, her voice laced with urgently as she looked around, pleading for someone to take action before I-sak fully transformed.

Her loud voice drew the attention of the zombies outside, who began to growl and snarl loudly at the window, their hunger intensifying.

"Shit! They're beginning to climb over!"

The three friends finally broke apart from their embrace. I-sak looked at the two of them and offered a soft, heartbreaking smile. "Come on... I'm okay!" she told them, her voice laced with a desperate attempt at reassurance. But before Na-hee could respond,

Suddenly, a hand grabbed Na-hee's wrist and yanked her away from I-sak. It was Cheong-san, his anxiety etched on his face as he instinctively shielded Na-hee from her.

Na-hee managed to grab On-jo and pull her away from I-sak, but it was agonizing to watch. Na-hee hugged On-jo tightly, afraid she might run back to I-sak, unable to let go. I-sak called out to them, her voice fading, but then she collapsed on the floor, just like Coach Kang had before he transformed into a zombie.

Na-hee gasped, fresh tears welling up as she held On-jo even tighter, trying to keep her away from I-sak.

"Hurry up! Do something!" Na-yeon yelled, her voice filled with a desperate edge of anxiety. Everyone else in the room began to feel the suffocating grip of fear as well.

I-sak started to move uncontrollably, her body twitching violently, mimicking the jerky movements of the zombies. The sickening sound of her bones crunching with each movement filled the air. On-jo began to thrash in Na-hee's hold, and Na-hee gripped onto her tightly as both of them sobbed uncontrollably. Seeing their distress, Cheong-san helped Na-hee with On-jo, pulling them further away from I-sak.

Cheong-san gently hid Na-hee's face against his chest, trying to shield her from the horrifying sight of what was happening to I-sak. Na-hee sobbed, her body shaking as she tried to pull away from Cheong-san, but her efforts were futile. She ffinally accepted to her grief, her cries echoing in the tense silence.

"Hurry! She's turning into a zombie!" Na-yeon warned loudly as she backed away in fear, her eyes wide with terror.

Everyone in the room felt the chilling grip of anxiety tighten as I-sak was beginning to transform into one of them. "Shit... why does this have to happen?" Na-hee mumbled through her cries, her voice barely audible.

Cheong-san led Na-hee and On-jo away from I-sak as Wu-jin stepped protectively next to Na-hee, gently caressing her wrist in a comforting gesture.

I-sak then stood up, but it wasn't her anymore. Her gaze fixed on them, a gaze that would usually bring them joy, but now it was the vacant, hungry stare of her zombie-fied form. Na-hee just felt a sharp, agonizing pain in her chest as she looked at I-sak, her heart breaking with each passing second.

"I-sak..." On-jo called out, desperation lacing her voice.

I-sak launched herself toward them, her zombie-fied form a terrifying sight. Luckily, Cheong-san stepped in, shielding them as he fought against her. Na-hee quickly grabbed hold of On-jo, pulling her away from the chaos unfolding between I-sak and Cheong-san.

Cheong-san's shouts echoed in Na-hee's ears as he struggled against I-sak's. Just then, a loud crash resonated through the air, causing Na-hee to whirl around. A group of zombies was breaking through their barricade, panic surging through her. they don't have much time.

Distracted by the commotion, Na-hee lost her grip on On-jo, who finally broke free. Na-hee reached out desperately, but it was too late. Cheong-san, spotting a chair nearby, planned to throw it at I-sak to create a distraction.

"Lee Cheong-san, stop!" On-jo shouted, her voice filled with urgency.

Cheong-san hesitated, catching his breath, and that moment of indecision allowed I-sak to rush forward at the group. In a split second, Na-hee instinctively shielded On-jo, and Cheong-san sprang into action, charging at I-sak and colliding with her.

The impact sent her body crashing against the window, shattering the glass into a million glittering shards. The sound of breaking glass echoed throughout the room, heightening everyone's fear and anxiety. I-sak's zombie-fied form managed to grab hold of the edge of the window, teetering precariously on the brink of falling.

Suddenly, On-jo rushed in, grabbing I-sak's hands with a fierce determination, refusing to let her fall. "I won't let you go!" she cried, her heart racing. On-jo held onto I-sak with all her might, while Na-hee and Cheong-san hurried to her side, panic etched on their faces.

"On-jo, you have to let go!" Cheong-san urged, his voice strained with desperation. But On-jo wouldn't budge, her grip tightening. Na-hee wrapped her arms around On-jo from behind, trying to help CCheong-san. The bond of friendship they shared felt like a lifeline, yet they never imagined it would lead to such a harrowing moment.

"Please, On-jo! You can't save her!" Na-hee begged, her voice trembling with anxiety and fear.

She had already lost one friend to this nightmare and couldn't bear the thought of losing another.

"Are you crazy?" Cheong-san shouted at On-jo, his frustration boiling over as they all struggled against the chaos.

On-jo held onto I-sak, unwilling to let go, while Cheong-san gripped I-sak's arm, trying to prevent her from reaching for On-jo.

"On-jo! You have to let go!" Na-hee cried out, her sobs choking her words.

"Hey, here!" Na-yeon yelled, kicking a chair forward as she stepped back in fear.

Na-hee glanced at the chair and quickly grabbed it, her hands shaking. She raised the chair toward I-sak, but her breath came out shaky, uncertainty clouding her mind.

Sensing Na-hee's hesitation, Cheong-san swiftly took the chair from her trembling hands. He gripped it tightly, his resolve hardening, and smashed it against I-sak's hands, causing her to lose her grip. With one final, desperate hit, I-sak fell, growling.

On-jo could only watch, helpless, as Na-hee stood frozen in shock and sadness. The room felt heavy with grief. On-jo glared daggers at Cheong-san, her heart breaking, before dropping to the ground in tears.

Na-hee slowly knelt beside her, offering comfort in the midst of chaos. Sobbing filled the room, mingling with the haunting sounds of zombies trying to break in, a chilling reminder of the world they were trapped in.

"Let's block this!" Gyeong-su warned them, his voice trembling as he sobbed quietly.

The atmosphere was heavy with devastation, their friend I-sak was gone, leaving a void that felt impossible to fill. The others quickly rushed to reinforce the barricade, their hearts racing as the relentless zombies outside clawed at the door, desperate to get in. Time was not on their side, they needed to leave quickly.

As the chaos unfolded, they gathered around On-jo, holding her hands tightly and urging her to sit down in a nearby chair. Ji-min and Hyo-ryung joined in, their expressions mirroring the collective grief that enveloped them. They whispered words of comfort, trying to soothe her shattered spirit.

Na-hee was also in need of comfort, and Na-yeon stepped in, wrapping her arms around her friend in a warm embrace. Na-hee leaned into the support, grateful for the connection amidst the despair.

"Let's go" Cheong-san said, his voice steady and filled with determination, cutting through.

The others turned to him, confusion etched on their faces. Na-hee gently patted On-jo's shoulder, reassuring her, and then turned to Ji-min, Na-yeon, and Hyo-ryung.

"You all stay with her. I'll help Cheong-san" she said, her resolve firm. They nodded in agreement, understanding the urgency of the situation.

"We're not going to last here much longer" Cheong-san continued, urgency creeping into his tone.

"But where would we go?" Wu-jin asked, his hands working tirelessly to keep the zombies at bay.

"I have an idea" Cheong-san admitted, a flicker of hope igniting in his eyes. Na-hee stepped closer to him, her expression resolute.

"I'd like to help you" she declared, determination sparking in her gaze. Cheong-san nodded, sensing that they were determined in their desire to survive.

Gyeong-su looked at Cheong-san in disbelief, his brow furrowing as he protested "What? Just open it a few inches, enough for the hose to fit."

"We'll die before anyone could rescue us!" Gyeong-su's voice was laced with panic.

"Is waiting for someone to save us really the best thing we can do?" Cheong-san retorted, his tone sharp but not unkind.

Na-hee glanced at Gyeong-su, her expression one of agreement with Cheong-san's logic.

"Sad to say, we don't have enough time" Na-hee said gently, her voice soothing yet firm.

"At any moment, the zombies will break through the barricade. Either we take action, or we'll be overrun before anyone can come to us." She offered Gyeong-su an assuring smile, and he nodded, finally deciding that she had a valid point. No one would come to save them if they didn't act.

"Okay, fine, but if you turn into a zombie, I'll kill Cheong-san" Gyeong-su said jokingly, attempting to lighten the grim atmosphere. Or is it?

With a deep breath, Gyeong-su opened the door just a crack while Cheong-san cautiously peeked outside, his heart pounding in his chest. He stepped back slightly when he noticed a zombie's foot lurking nearby, a wave of nervousness washing over him.

Finally focusing again, Cheong-san extended his hand as a zombie staggered through the dimly lit hallway. He quickly adjusted himself, his heart racing, and was about to reach for the hose when suddenly another zombie lurched in, its feet swaying and knocking the hose away.

Cheong-san and Na-hee exchanged dumbfounded glances, their eyes wide with disbelief. After a moment, Cheong-san let out a breath of frustration and closed the door in defeat, both he and Na-hee sighing heavily.

Determined, Cheong-san stepped into the lab room, scanning the cluttered space for anything he could use to retrieve the hose. Na-hee watched him, confusion etched on her fface.

Moments later, he emerged holding a mannequin's hand, a sigh of relief escaping his lips. With the hose finally in hand and the door securely closed, Na-hee couldn't help but applaud him silently in her mind.

Just then, Ji-min and Gyeong-su burst in to assist Cheong-san. Gyeong-su quickly turned to Nam-ra, instructing her to take charge of the door as she swiftly positioned herself to guard it.

"Zigzag. Make it a zigzag. Big enough increments" Joon-yeong directed, his voice steady as he continued to hold the barricade against the increasingly violent zombies outside.

"Let's go" Na-hee announced to everyone, her voice filled with determination. Cheong-san nodded in agreement, feeling a surge of hope.

Gyeong-su cautiously opened the window, and Cheong-san prepared to let go of the hose. Gyeong-su peered down nervously, his heart racing.

"How are we going to make it down there?" he asked, his voice shaky and drenched in anxiety. Sweat trickled down his forehead.

"I'll go down and check the empty rooms. I'll call when it's clear, okay?" Cheong-san reassured everyone, and they nodded in agreement, trusting his judgment.

Na-hee glanced at On-jo, her heart aching for her friend. She rushed toward On-jo, patting her shoulder gently and offering a reassuring smile. Even though she was also feeling the weight of fear, she held out her smile, determined to uplift On-jo's spirits. They were finally going to make it out of this nightmare, and Na-hee would do anything to help her friend.

Cheong-san then looked in Na-hee's direction and noticed the tiredness and sadness in her eyes, though she masked it with a brave smile. His gaze lingered on her for a moment, momentarily forgetting the urgency of the situation.

"Bro, come on down, dude" Gyeong-su urged, playfully slapping Cheong-san on the back to snap him out of his thoughts. The others exchanged confused glances.

"Gyeong-su, you go down first" Cheong-san instructed, his tone serious.

"Why? Did you see something?" Gyeong-su responded, panic creeping into his voice.

"No, I just realized it's better if you go first" Cheong-san admitted, his expression earnest.

"Why me?" Gyeong-su protested, his eyes wide with apprehension.

"..."

"Rock, paper, scissors?" Gyeong-su suggested, trying to lighten the mood.

"Just go" Cheong-san insisted, his patience wearing thin.

"Let me go first" Na-yeon interjected, breaking the tension among the three.

"Wait, Na-yeon, one person at a time. You might fall if it shakes too much" Cheong-san quickly warned her, concern etched on his face.

Ji-min could only look at Na-yeon in disbelief, her eagerness surprising her.

"Well, I won't shake it then" she replied confidently, her determination shining through.

"How long do you want me to wait?" she finished, crossing her arms defiantly.

Gyeong-su turned to Na-yeon, disbelief written all over his face. "You're so busy being selfish that you're willing to go without talking to your best friend? Pathetic" he shot back, frustration bubbling beneath the surface.

"Excuse me? Who are you to mind my business?" Na-yeon retorted, her voice.

"I am not selfish! Na-hee was the one who begged me to go!"

"Stop fighting, you two!" Cheong-san interjected, trying to maintain order amidst the chaos.

"I'm getting a headache" Ji-min muttered, rubbing her temples in exasperation.

"Then tell Gyeong-su to stop minding MY business!" Na-yeon rolled her eyes at Gyeong-su, who glared daggers at her back, the tension in the air thickening.

After a while, Gyeong-su was the first to go down, checking every corner of the room to see if it was safe for them to go down. Luckily, he was met with a great news.

"Guys! It's Mrs. Park!" Gyeong-su yelled out in happiness, his voice echoing through the room.

"Miss Park is on the second floor" Cheong-san quickly announced to everyone, his tone urgent yet hopeful.

Na-hee let out a sigh of relief, but another worry gnawed at her, Su-hyeok and On-jo were still unaccounted for.

One by one, the others finally made their way down to the broadcasting room. The atmosphere was tense, and Na-hee glanced back at On-jo, who was still reeling from the earlier chaos. Hyo-ryung approached the window, peering down with a furrowed brow. Na-hee noticed On-jo's devastated expression, she couldn't blame her. The shock had been overwhelming, and they all needed to stay strong to survive.

"On-jo, let's go" Na-hee urged gently, her voice barely above a whisper as she quietly sniffed back her own tears.

She looked out the window, anxiety tightening her chest. There wasn't enough time, they needed to act fast.

Without hesitation, Na-hee quickly helped Nam-ra, who thanked her and insisted that Na-hee should go next. Na-hee nodded but felt a sense of urgency, she needed to ensure that On-jo went first before her.

Gently, Na-hee grabbed On-jo's wrist and walked toward Cheong-san, who was also waiting for On-jo to descend. "On-jo, you go first." Na-hee said softly, caressing her hands.

Na-hee held On-jo's shoulder, looking into her eyes with unwavering support. "Please, for your dad and I-sak. You have to stay alive for me and everyone else."

On-jo looked up at Na-hee, her heart swelling with gratitude. Na-hee's kindness was a balm for her wounded spirit, and it was that very kindness that had drawn her in from the start.

After a moment of hesitation, On-jo nodded, a soft smile breaking through her tears.

Both Cheong-san and Na-hee held her gently, their grips firm yet tender, afraid that she might falter. "Be careful, On-jo" Na-hee urged, her voice laced with concern. On-jo nodded, determination flickering in her eyes. As she finally made it safely down, she shouted Na-hee's name, signaling that it was her turn.

Nam-ra moved toward the window as well, ready to assist Na-hee if needed. Na-hee looked down at her and nodded, feeling a wave of relief wash over her.

Cheong-san grabbed Na-hee's hand carefully, his grip reassuring. "Na-hee, be careful, alright?" he said, locking eyes with her, the weight of the moment hanging between them.

Na-hee smiled, a mixture of gratitude and determination shining in her eyes. "You too, Cheong-san. I'll see you there" she replied, gripping the rope tightly as Cheong-san assisted her.

Heights had always been one of Na-hee's fears, but in that moment, her will to survive overshadowed her anxiety. She hoped that, after this ordeal, she would never fear heights again.

As Na-hee began her descent, the others in the broadcasting room silently reassured her, their presence a comforting reminder that she wasn't alone. Nam-ra reached out to help Na-hee, but On-jo had caught her first, leaving Nam-ra to slowly lower her hands.

"Are you okay, Na-hee?" Joon-yeong managed to ask, concern etched on his face.

Na-hee nodded, grateful for his support. "I'm okay" she replied, her voice steadying as she focused on the task at hand. The bond they shared in that moment gave her the strength she needed to keep moving forward.

Na-hee and the others noticed zombies flying out of the window. A frown creased Na-hee's forehead as she quickly rushed to the window to catch a glimpse of Cheong-san. She saw him gripping the rope tightly, struggling as a zombie managed to grab ahold of his foot.

Meanwhile, other zombies were stuck in the science lab, desperately trying to reach him. Na-hee instinctively moved her head back from the window, a flicker of fear coursing through her at the thought of a zombie falling onto her.

"Cheong-san!" Na-hee yelled, her voice cutting through the chaos. The urgency in her tone caught his attention, and he steadied himself.

"Are you okay? Be careful!" she urged, gesturing frantically at the zombie clinging to his foot.

"I'll be alright, don't worry!" Cheong-san replied, his voice strained as he tightened his grip on the rope. "Just stay put there!" he instructed.

Earlier, Cheong-san had been anxiously looking back and forth between Na-hee and the barricades. He couldn't leave, not yet. He had to ensure Na-hee made it to the broadcasting room before he could go down on the rope.

His heart raced as he saw the barricades finally give way, but relief washed over him when he spotted Na-hee safely inside the broadcasting room. In a moment of desperation, he jumped out of the window, catching the rope with his hand.

He let out a shaky breath as the rope swayed violently beneath him, the weight of the zombies below adding to his anxiety. But then he looked down and saw the zombie gripping his foot. He kicked out, trying to shake it off.

"Cheong-san, try kicking it off!" Na-hee shouted, her voice filled with urgency as she gestured toward the zombie. Others peered out of the room, joining her in encouraging Cheong-san.

Nodding at Na-hee, Cheong-san positioned himself and used his other foot to stomp down on the zombie. "Shit..." he muttered under his breath, frustration bubbling within him.

"Na-hee!" Suddenly, a voice rang out from above. Both Na-hee and Cheong-san looked up to see Su-hyeok, sweat glistening on his forehead.

"Look it's bare-su!" The others called out happily.

"Su-hyeok" Na-hee exclaimed, a smile breaking across her face at the sight of Su-hyeok alive.

"Where were you?" she scolded, a mix of relief and annoyance in her voice.

"Don't worry too much!" Su-hyeok replied, flashing his usual charming smile, though his attention quickly shifted to Cheong-san, who was still grappling with the zombie on his foot.

"Yah, you fool! Kick the zombie off, will you?" Su-hyeok said incredulously, steadying himself.

Cheong-san, clearly annoyed, shot him a glare. "Can't you see I'm trying?" he retorted, attempting to kick the zombie off again.

"Your kicking makes me sad" Su-hyeok teased, letting out a playful tsk sound.

"I don't need your distractions right now! Can't you see I'm pretty occupied?!" Cheong-san snapped, frustration evident in his voice.

"I'll come there!" Su-hyeok declared, determination in his eyes.

"Don't! Are you crazy? You'll get me killed!" Cheong-san replied, panic creeping into his tone.

"Yah! Lee Su-hyeok!" Na-hee's voice rang out again, urgency lacing her words. "Look out! Above you!" she yelled, her heart racing.

Su-hyeok glanced up just in time to see a zombie looming over him, blood dripping down its face. It lunged at him, but Su-hyeok quickly jumped toward the rope, narrowly avoiding the zombie's grasp. Now, both he and Cheong-san were gripping the rope, which shook precariously beneath them.

"Yah? What the hell?" Cheong-san exclaimed, panic rising in his voice. "This rope won't be able to hold us both!"

"Su-hyeok, help Cheong-san with that zombie, will you?" Na-hee urged, a small smile of encouragement directed at the two boys.

Su-hyeok returned her smile, his determination renewed.

"You got it" he replied confidently.

Slowly, he steadied himself and lowered himself toward Cheong-san, practically hugging him at this point. He descended further and kicked at the zombie that was still clinging to Cheong-san's foot. With a satisfying thud, the zombie finally fell down.

"That wasn't so hard" Su-hyeok teased, a grin spreading across his face as he regained his breathing.

"Gosh, why can't you just kick it down?"

"You moron."

Just then, Su-hyeok and Cheong-san finally made it safely inside the room. Na-hee felt a wave of relief wash over her as she saw the two boys unharmed.

However, her relief was short-lived as she noticed the tension in the air, both boys were glaring daggers at each other, their expressions a mix of anger and frustration. It was clear that something had transpired between them, and Na-hee couldn't help but wonder what had caused such a rivalry in them.

Na-yeon then pulled Na-hee towards her, concern etched on her face. "Kim Na-hee, why do you keep putting yourself in danger?" she asked, her tone a mix of worry and exasperation.

"I told you and the others to shut the window right?"

Na-hee, however, simply let go of her hand, determination shining in her eyes.

"Na-yeon, it's called helping" she replied firmly, her voice steady. "We need each other in times like this."

Na-yeon sighed, her brow furrowing. "I know it's helping, but you should also be worried about yourself" she insisted, her voice softening.

"If you keep helping others, They'll misunderstood it for something more or take advantage of you." With that, Na-yeon stepped back, creating a small distance between them.

Na-hee let out a sigh, pondering at Na-yeon's words. It's better to create a short distance from Na-yeon a little.

As time goes on Na-hee could feel Na-yeon's attitude becoming more intense, mostly her anger towards a certain someone.
