Seungmin's POV

"Good morning, Dr. Kim." the guard greeted and smiled at me

"Good morning." I greeted back with a smile as well and drove in the parking lot

As soon as I parked, I got out of my car carrying the coffee I ordered in drive thru. I know it was so wrong of me not to wait for Minho and Chaerin, when the three of us agreed to have coffee together.

What can I do? I am too impatient.

I was about to go inside the hospital when I noticed Chaerin's car parked beside mine. I wonder why she didn't go to work yesterday?

I haven't heard of her the whole day, and I tried asking Hyunjin but he is not replying as well. I wonder if they fought? I just wish they didn't. Chaerin and Hyunjin seems to be having a hard time after losing their supposedly first child.

She is not coming out of the car and stayed there a few minutes. I was patiently waiting for her but she is not really coming out, nor she have a plan.

I knocked on her window.

She opened it and looked at me, "Hmm?"

"Why aren't you coming out?"

"I was just fixing my bag." she reasoned and got out of the car

"Are you okay?"

She looked at me and gave me a smile, a fake one.

"Why didn't you go to work yesterday? I tried calling and texting you but you weren't replying. I was bored yesterday since Minho kept talking to the newbie nurse."

"I wasn't feeling well." she said

I checked her temperature using the back of my hand on her forehead, "Eh?"

"It was yesterday. I am okay now." Chaerin

"You should've rested today. What if it comes back later? You'll have a hard time."

"I'm really fine." Chaerin said

"Then why is Hyunjin not replying as well? Did you guys fought? Is there something I can help you with?"

"We're fine. Actually, he went home right away." Chaerin

We entered the hospital, and while we were walking in the hallway, she is spacing out. She is just staring out of nowhere like she has a lot of thoughts, which bothers me as well.

"Chae, I'm always here. You can tell me if there's a problem. Is it about Sangmi and Hyunjin? I can talk to Hyunjin and just basically tell him that it's not a good thing to work with that woman. Also, I won't tell him that I am doing it for you."

"It's not Hyunjin nor Sangmi." she said

"Then who? Was it the patient you treated? Did that person talked bad about you? Or hurt you? You can tell me."

"The patient was so nice. There's nothing to worry about. I am really fine. Just feeling a bit tired and lazy." she giggled

"I understand that you will continue to pretend like things were fine but it's really not. You should remember that I am here. Always. Don't just keep it to yourself. I got you always."

She smiled at me and patted my shoulder, "Thank you so much, but I am really fine. Really. Don't worry about me."

Then she left.

I know something is bothering her. There's only one thing that is on my mind, it's m Hyunjin and Sangmi working together. Working together, spending more time with each other, and will know things about one another, will lead to falling in love.

Just like how Felix and Chaerin worked.

I got in the elevator and the door was about to close when Minho suddenly entered and clicked the floor of his office.

"Yah. Where's Chaerin? Did she show up? Why are you having a coffee already?" Minho asked

I nodded, "Chaerin showed up. I just bought the coffee earlier when I was driving here."

"But we all agreed to buy a coffee." Minho

"Even if I didn't buy my coffee, Chaerin wouldn't go with us. Reason? She looks bothered, and not okay."

"Why? Did something happen?" Minho

"I guess something happened, but my main guess is Hyunjin and Sangmi. You know, she is jealous and bothered about it."

"Should we ask her?" he asked

"You do it. I'll pretend like I didn't tell you. Just pretend that you noticed her sudden change of mood."

"Okay." Minho said

We got out of the elevator as we reached Chaerin's office floor.

"Don't tell her that I told you. Just pretend that you-"

"Okay. I heard you. Don't have to repeat it over and over again. Just be quiet." Minho said and took my coffee, then he sipped it

"Good morning, Dr. Kim and Dr. Lee." Lei greeted which is the nurse that Minho is flirting with

"Good morning." Minho greeted back and smiled

"Can you two just stop flirting in front of me?"

Lei looks shocked and shy, "Sorry, Dr. Kim."

"By the way, is Chaerin in her office?"

"Yes, I greeted her when she arrived about 7 minutes ago? I forgot." Lei answered

"Okay, let's go." I said and dragged Minho with me before he even continued flirting with Lei

"I'll see you later." Minho told Lei and waved at her

This jerk never really learned his lessons. He should get his heart broken first before he stop flirting with nurses.

As we arrived in front of her office, I was about to open the door but then I saw through the glass small window in her door-

Chaerin is crying.
