Sangmi's POV

That jerk. Does he think he knows everything just because he is a oh so genius lawyer? If only my friend didn't recommend him, I wouldn't go to him. I guess my friend did a wrong thing of choosing him.

He is always mad and acts like I am not a client.

If he doesn't want to take my case, he don't have to. i am not going to force him. There are a lot of good and much better attorneys out there.

I parked the car in front of my brother's house and got out. I knocked on it a few times but no one answered. I kept knocking until my brother gets annoyed of me and open the door.

"What?" he asked as he opens the door

"I brought us a drink."

"I told you. I don't drink." Sungho said

I ignored him and went inside carrying the alcohols I brought for us. It's already 9 pm and I still want to drink, so?! I can do what I want. I went to the kitchen and prepared the drinks for us.

"Seriously? You drink that." he said and pushed the shot glass with his fingers

"Whatever. Fine."

"Did you boyfriend broke up with you? That's why you are acting like that. Poor, Sangmi. You can't even call your friends when you are in needed of full people to support you." he teased

"That's why I am here, stupid."

Sungho doesn't know also about the abusive ex boyfriend. I wanted to tell him but he will tell our parents for sure, or he'll make the case bigger because of how crazy he is. I am sure he wouldn't stop chasing after my ex boyfriend.

"Your boyfriend broke up with you?" Sungho

"Huh?  I broke up with him. I don't need him anyway. Besides, I just needed my money back, the ones he took."

"Is it bad?" Sungho asked

"What is?"

"Your heart." he added

"Not really. I am fine. I got bored of him and left. Why are you asking? You care for me huh?"

"I don't. You deserve it." Sungho rolled his eyes and sat across me

"I filed a case to that jerk. Guess who is handling my case?"

"Who? Your friend?" Sungho

"Hwang Hyunjin."

His eyes suddenly looked at me, "Who?"

"Hwang Hyunjin, Chaerin's husband."

"Are you being serious? Are you that insensitive to go to him? You know what happened back then with you, Felix, and Chaerin. Are you intentionally doing this?" Sungho

"It's not like I wanted it. My friend recommended him. But don't worry, he will give my case to another attorney. I didn't tell him that I cheated on the guy, and that made the case a little bit uh..."

"Still, you should've not went to him." Sungho

"I just want to win the case." I pouted

"Just don't talk to him, leave him alone. I'll find an attorney for you, I'll take the files you had with him." Sungho said and was about to leave-

"I actually had a dinner with Felix and Chaerin."

He glanced at me, "What? Are you crazy? Why would you have dinner with them?"

"It's not like I wanted it. I was with Hyunjin the whole day because he went with me to save up evidences, but then we finished almost 7 pm I guess? I wanted to ask him out for a dinner because I felt bad for just dragging him with me the whole day. So, he brought me to the dinner with his friends instead."

"Okay? And you didn't leave right away?" Sungho

"I wanted to but, Chaerin told me to stay since I am already there with them. I don't have a choice since they all agreed to let me stay."

"Did they talked to you about what happened before?" Sungho

"No, they didn't mention it. Maybe because they don't want us to get awkward."

Sungho sighed.

"I'm just afraid that Chaerin will get mad at me because I was the reason why she and Felix broke up. But she is not even mad, she never treated me differently in front of everyone. When we accidentally met each other's gaze, she was smiling at me."

"I am just being overprotective. Scared that they might hate you for a reason that you didn't have any idea back then. But the fact that the arranged marriage didn't get through, why is Felix and Chaerin not together?" Sungho

"The day Chaerin and Hyunjin got married, is also the day that Felix and I agreed to end that stupid arranged marriage."

Sungho didn't talk.

"You haven't met Chaerin after that dinner night, right? Why don't you visit her?"

"Why should I? It's not like she still remembers me, or even thought of contacting me. She is happy now. There's no need to visit her." Sungho annoyingly said and suddenly left

As far as I know, Chaerin didn't contact Sungho, never tried. That's why Sungho was so shock with her sudden change and the news that she is marrying Hyunjin. When Sungho was trying to reach her out, there was no answer. Why? Same question though.

Sungho went to Love Orphanage a lot of times and Chaerin never visited, not even once. The next thing he knew, Chaerin left the country with Hyunjin. Just came back for their wedding and left once again.

I don't think Sungho will still treat Chaerin the way he did before.
